That was probably the last chance to take photos on a sunny day. The golden autumn is almost over. Soon all trees will be leafless and everything becomes dull and grey. So before it happens, here are some photos of clear blue sky and disused truss bridge, as well as a tree with marks left by beaver's teeth.

In the cutting (originally: A bevágásban) 2023 Acrylic on paper
This is based on a real part of a real railway track, but I changed it a little for the composition's sake. You might ask why a little embankment is starting to rise between the walls of the cutting, when it's pointless to build an embankment inside a cut. That's because this is the area where it starts to turn from a cut (in front) to an embankment (behind us).
There's only a single pair of rails because it's used sparsely enough for that to be enough; at larger stations, there's two pairs for a little while, and that's where opposite trains can wait for one another, then they move on parallel tracks in opposite directions until they get past each other, and so both of them safely enter the single pair of rails. I don't know if they do that in other places, I expect they probably do, but I wanted to explain just in case it looks absurd to have one pair of rails.
