I don’t think there’s anything wrong with being “too edgy”. If you like it, you like it. If you like drawing dark things, do it! If you like edgy aesthetics, use them! If you like to write some messed up stuff, write it! Nothing is “too edgy” if you’re just having harmless fun. This is especially true for creators. Nothing is wrong with exploring something “edgy” or “edgy” stuff being a favorite concept you find yourself going back to. Lots of people like those things for a reason. And I want all these creators out here to know that there is NOTHING wrong with liking and creating things that are “edgy”. As long as you are being genuine and not hurting anyone, you should be allowed to have YOUR fun, and make YOURSELF happy, no matter what ANYONE says.
That being said, if your creations are over saturated with nothing but “edgy” and nothing else, or you aren’t going outside of your comfort zones with your art and your abilities (a.k.a. improving as an artist), or your writing is literal trash, I WILL say it.
Yes, this post is about Vivziepop.

I just saw a short on YouTube where Vivziepop said “fixing animation errors takes time and money.” And while that’s true and animation is a very complicated process… Something about specifically HER (a woman who threatens to sue people with her rich lawyer family, buys expensive taxidermy like it’s nothing, refuses to pay her workers a decent wage to the point she has to keep hiring new ones bc she’s literally driven away HUNDREDS because she doesn’t pay them enough to deal with her abuse) talking about MONEY, especially with her little “Uhh…. Yeah… I know more than you, so shut up” fake relatable quirky way of talking… Really makes me wanna punch her square in the face. Just… fills me with unbridled rage.
Yes, animation IS hard. And animation errors DO happen. I’m not disputing that. Animation errors are OKAY. I just think Vivziepop is the LAST person that should say that something costs MONEY. She has more than enough.

HBO’s The Penguin hates women unless they’re conventionally attractive. Prove me wrong.
Oh, you don’t believe me? Well here’s Sofia Falcone and Carla Viti in the comics, and there’s the actresses the show is using. (No hate to the actors btw, I’m just making a point.)
Tumblr media
Sofia Falcone in the comics. Big. She’s tall. Beefy. Has big, red hair, and has a Roman nose.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sofia Falcone in the show is played by a skinny, conventionally attractive woman. She’s shorter, and has a straight nose.
Tumblr media
Carla Viti in the comics. Stocky, heavy, round. She is FAT. Fats not a bad word or a bad thing.
Tumblr media
And… here’s who they hired. Notice something off? You’re right, she’s skinny and “prettier” by bs Hollywood standards.
I see so many people talk about how much they love Sofia bc she’s crazy and violent, and apparently breaking gender stereotypes while doing it. And I don’t think there’s anything wrong with conventionally attractive female characters being violent and evil and playing roles more reserved for male characters. But the fact that apparently the show has a problem with women doing that and being an important character UNLESS they’re “pretty” is very telling.
So yeah, as if I needed more reasons to stay away from Reevesverse, and I already had so many, it also hates women that aren’t “pretty”. Which is already an issue with most comics, but this is somehow doing WORSE than comics in that regard.
And the worst part? NO ONE GIVES A SHIT. Comic bros rant whenever a white character is made black, and then others jump at defending the race lifts. But when women who are either buff or fat are made skinny, no one cares. Not the comic bros who want 100% accuracy, and not the more progressive fans who should be want more body diversity. But no, everyone is too distracted by the shiny keys of Sofia being violent, crazy, and hot being jangled in front of their face, that they don’t notice this blatant and obvious disrespect of women. This show doesn’t love women or break stereotypes like people think it does. But everyone seems to either not see it because they’re distracted, or they simply don’t care about women that aren’t “hot”. Either way, it’s frustrating seeing everyone falling for this.
I can’t… I just can’t do this shit, my guy.

The autistic burnout is real. I follow too many blogs, and have to go through all of them one by one to see who to unfollow. I’m literally just scrolling through Tumblr, which I do anyway. But cleaning and sorting through my drafts I never post, looking at my inbox that I’ll never answer, and going through blogs I can’t part with despite them not posting for years… It makes me so tired…

I don’t like to think of the word ‘disorder’ as a bad word. Calling something a disease when it isn’t, calling it an illness when it’s not, I don’t like those. Those words can be inaccurate, insulting, and often sound negative. And certain things may or may not be seen as a disability or under the neurodivergent umbrella depending on who you ask. Condition isn’t bad, but it’s a bit iffy.
But disorder can never be wrong. And it doesn’t have that negative sound to it. Is this thing wrong or broken? No, it’s just out of order. Is this order a wrong or bad way? No, just not the order most people are use to. But can things be broken, or wrong, or bad when out of order? Yes. Whether or not something is in the order we’re use to doesn’t make it inherently bad or wrong. It can be, but it isn’t always.
I will say, as a psychology student, the medical term is a bit more negative, but I don’t view it as inaccurate. Medically speaking, to be a disorder, it has to affect your daily life or cause problems. It has to make things somewhat difficult for you to count. At least, that’s how I was taught. So to be a disorder, things have to be harder for you. I agree. But I don’t think that the disorder making things harder always means it’s a bad thing.
Example: My dad has a rare kidney disorder. Reno Tubular Acidosis. It means his body produces too much calcium, leading to kidney stones. It’s chronic. It hurts my dad. He’s always in pain. He needs surgery every year, has frequent hospital visits, and almost died once in surgery, meaning they have to remove the stones in a more difficult way now. He can’t move sometimes or go places he wants to go or do things he likes. His body isn’t in order. Disorder. It has affected him daily for 30 years and makes things harder. Medical definition of disorder. It’s a bad disorder.
And then there’s me. I am autistic. Already known as Autism Spectrum Disorder. But allow me to elucidate. It’s affects me, and is a part of me always. Sometimes I don’t understand people, and they don’t like the things I do. So things can be hard for me because of it. And that’s only one way how it’s bad. But there are good things too. I’m passionate and very smart about certain things. That’s only a few ways of how it’s good. The autism can do both good and bad for me. It’s not an inherently bad thing, just my brain being out of order. Disorder. But some things are harder and I always am autistic. Medical definition. It’s not bad like my dad’s problem, but still a disorder.
That’s why I like the word. Disorder. Not always bad. Not always good. It’s only harder and more difficult because it’s not what people are use to, and because it’s not something you can change. You have to live with it, and so do others. They can be bad, but not all disorders are bad. But good or bad, it just means it’s in a different order. It’s a disorder.
Anyway. I don’t know. I just really like the word. I think it’s the best word for describing those things. It’s not bad, and it’s never incorrect. It’s accurate. To me at least.

Ugh… I wish Tumblr had a mute option. I keep seeing these two blogs every time I search for content of my favorite character. It’s not that I don’t like the blogs. It’s just that 1. I can’t get into them, and 2. It’s all the time. It’s cool they’re doing their own thing. But I’m getting tired of seeing it. And I don’t wanna block them, bc that feels mean. I don’t like when people block me for no reason (I’m extremely sensitive to perceived rejection), so I don’t wanna do the same. Plus, these are definitely sideblogs. I don’t wanna block these people because idk, maybe they’re nice or would like to be friends in the future. I don’t wanna hurt their feelings. But I’m getting tired, bordering on annoyed at this point. I just feel like their asks and rps are clogging up the tag. Overexposure is a bitch.

Why I HATE the puzzle piece symbolizing Autism:
Hate groups like Auti$m $peaks use it, trying to say we are missing pieces of ourselves. That we are broken and have to be put back together and fixed. That we are a problem to be solved. THEY are telling us who we are, not understanding us.
Why I LOVE the puzzle piece symbolizing Autism:
Because a puzzle is made of multiple pieces, each one important to see the bigger picture. I AM AUTISTIC. Autism is a part of me. Not the only part, but a part of me that has to be acknowledged in order to understand me. I AM a puzzle. Not in the sense that I have to be solved or fixed, or that I am in pieces, or missing parts. I am a puzzle, because I am complex. PEOPLE are complex. I AM A PERSON. A person that is AUTISTIC. Everyone is a puzzle, and has their pieces. If a piece is my Autism, I am proud of that piece. Not because people like A$ tell me what the puzzle piece means, but because I CHOOSE what it can mean for ME.
TL;DR
I want to take the puzzle piece back. Fuck Auti$m $peaks. THEY don’t tell me who I am, I DO. The history of the symbol is important as well, you should always know these things. And I think that’s all the important bits covered.

I think I finally realized why I hate the majority of Catwoman and some Poison Ivy depiction. Because the a lot of those same depictions are supposedly not fully evil (antiheroes and such), yet they weaponize sex. Femme fatales, love potions/pheromones, unwanted flirting (a.k.a. Sexual harassment), dressing provocatively to ‘distract’ enemies, all of it is weaponizing sex. Unless the character is a straight up villain, the character shouldn’t do that. The Sex is Evil trope is played out and villainizes sex in general. And for those two characters specifically, villainizes a lot of BDSM aspects such as bondage. And again, weaponizing sex should be an attribute that ONLY GENUINELY EVIL CHARACTERS should do. Because that’s the type of thing GENUINELY EVIL PEOPLE do. Like, oh I don’t know, rapists and sexual predators.
