I’ve relisten to rqg 156 for the first time since my inti listen three years ago. I’m crying and I don’t know if I did that the first time. I think the more I hear the letter, the more emotional it will be, as the I will have spent more and more time with the characters.

I know Ben never specifically says but I swear to Hope that in 156 when Zolf is talking to Azu about trying to change and Sasha not being there and being so filled with hope he's magic, Zolf is crying. Ben doesn't say it but you can fucking hear it in his voice. At that moment Zolf is crying. You cannot tell me otherwise.

So there are obviously MANY differences between TMA and RQG because theyre fundamentally different shows but one of the big ones is that while TMA is a funny show, moments of drama are played fairly straight, and it's only later, in the fandom response, that absolutely everything becomes a joke.

With RQG, the peanut gallery is actually in the recording room, which means we get some lovely tonal whiplash moments like "I'm grief-filled, you're grief-skilled" in the podcast itself.

currently: the letter in 156, my heart is broken. SASHA.

Jesus just fuck me up. First Skraak comes back, then Zolf and Azu have a heart to heart, then Sasha's letter and she was happy and had a friend and adopted kids and taught them everything and she named them after her friends andWilde and even fucking Bertie and she built something and she was satisfied

And now Hamid and Zolf are finally talking and they both care so much and Zolf is fucking sad always and they're trying and they've promised to keep trying

And there's a glimmer of old Wilde and I'm so glad because he's seemed so coldly broken
