katzen thinks dr verrückter is a little ODD for sure …. but he would never shoo him away or anything. he’s .. sympathetic. they’re not the exact same, but they HAVE had very similar experiences. both were pretty thoroughly fucked up through respawn ,

he’s content to be dr verrückter’s friend, accepting that he’s just. Like that. even if that can be a tiring task in of itself.!!! dragging him around as he tries to perform his duties, or getting in each others way while working ehee / katzen doesn’t have an archimedes or any sort of companion , so having someone hanging around is welcome ( though this fucked up bird seems to be a little heavier than the usual dove….)

might get a little attached but wouldn’t admit it .. would be very happy sticking some cool stickers on verrückter’s gloves , talking at/to him even if he isn’t able to respond or even understand ,, witness his attempts at blinding people with a “wow ! uh,, very interesting , i sppose” and he smiles big & gives a thumbs up while backing out of the room .. would not participate, but wouldn’t intervene either

this definitely changes depending on his status , OF COURSE, because katz can get rearranged in all sorts of ways when he respawns ; but at that point if he’s too warped to even be recognizable ??as the same person then ?it’s not really katzen , or i guess just not the RIGHT katzen

I will definitely delete this later. This is very silly in retrospect but these thoughts have been weighing heavily on my mind in recent weeks.

I've been getting more comments either in person or online how my artwork looks too similar to another artist. Going as far as seeing comments on Pinterest mislabeling my work as said other artist. It's very disheartening and it makes me even question my own thought process and prevents me from exploring themes that might overlap in fear that it might be accused of being a ripoff. I've already had that happen with my mermaid illustration and a different artist's girl in a oyster shell. Or with my fairy fruit girls with another artist's fairy fruit girls...

While I won't deny there are similarities and I do find this artist very talented and inspirational, my art style developed from heavily studying art nouveau, golden age of illustration, and shoujo styles like Clamp. I love pencil lines because that's what I used since I started drawing and never found any other medium as comfortable. I love girls, nudity, lingerie, nature, fantasy, soft lines, soft colors, detailed hair, lolita fashion, dark themes, erotic themes, romantic themes... the list goes on. I would like to imagine that my style developed naturally and independently but with these comments stuck in my head, now I'm questioning myself and my honesty. I get why it's natural to compare one artist to another. I also look at someone's work and think this person's work reminds me of someone else's and of course I don't think less of them because of it. The opposite really, it's exciting to me to see groups of artists who share similar vibes and aesthetics. It's human nature to find comparisons and similarities. But I just need to know that I'm okay. That my work is allowed to exist as is and I shouldn't take it too personally. That my work can be both similar and stand on it's own.

mmm throwaway conversation between Dan and Danny that popped into my head that I had to write out:

"What's that supposed to mean." The Other hisses, matching Danny's scowl one-for-one with fangs much bigger and sharper than his.

But there's a reason lions fear hyenas. Danny matches the rumble in The Other's chest with one of his own, and shoves his face close to his. "I don't lose."

Sam would have loved the chance to see Frodo grow old.

To see his brown hair begin to gray and then turn gray, to see how wrinkles began to take over his chubby face (and if Sam was very lucky, some of his wrinkles would be the permanent mark that Frodo was able to laugh and smile as much as he wanted).

Not only because Frodo's aging meant that he continued to live but also because it meant that he was no longer under the influence of the ring, which stopped keeping him under its evil control and allowed Frodo to continue living as a simple hobbit, alongside him.
