OK IM SO SORRY FOR THE LACK OF UPLOADS A BUNCH OF STUFF HAPPENED BETWEEN THE LAST MONTH,,...,.. from my school performing Willy Wonka jr (it went rlly well btw >< [if anyone's curious, I played Violet yeppiii]) FROM MY WISDOM TEETH AND MOLAR REMOVAL SO I GOT 5 TEETH YANKED OUT OF MY SKULL (the nurses let me listen to the Yume Nikki ost so it was worth it) AND JS AAAAAA Im so glad to fiNALLY POST THESE AFTER 2ISH MONTHS

(i began working on some of these since late October so aaaa what the flip)

Some of them look like doodoo like help idk how to draw Macy's hair and the Robin one looks like trash so what the flip (AND ALSO I FELT LAZY FOR THE LAST PICTURE I didn't properly colour and shade the Tulio expression tests and anime juanín)

God. I just finished utena... palette cleansed my eyes on what arcane could've been if they ears with each character for at least a few more eps. And also great writing that depicts SA delicately and not super edgy... The symbolism raaaa. I saved like so much screen caps I love the old media/theatre energy rgu brought. When I first watched utena I was like, 15, 16. Many of the themes went over my head and I didn't understand Anthy. But I'm glad I got the life experiences I did BC now I see her nuance beyond my simple brains reduction of damsel in distress. Don't spoil the movie, pacing myself to watch it after I've absorbed the last 39 EPs w time :))

Really interesting how Steven universe (if I take my memory that utena was a huge influence right) took this and made the themes palatable to children. On hindsight that's fucking amazing, on top of production and censorship issues.

Who can forget Swords As Symbolism. Pulling the sword out of something, someone is just poetic, romantic, tragic, all the words that leaves my sleepy brain lol. Sayaka, Anthy, even Kazuma to an extent.

Anyway this year is big for someone who used to watch so little series a year lol. Frieren, DanDaDan, RGU, though I want to try more Western/EU based shows these days. Either way love seeing how much heart animanga has to offer this year

P.S. on that note I would've died if utena was animated in arcanes style hahahaha (really the art kept me afloat, I saw how much thought was put into the look and feel of the world) I don't think I'll ever get over how the writers threw the show by not making clear stances in s1. S2 I can't fairly say as I haven't finished it, but my gripes truly lie w its constraints as an AAA company product
