Psychic Killer (1975)

My rating: 4/10

Surprisingly dull and plodding, for a movie about a guy killing people with his mind, with a rather nasty misogynistic streak throughout. Highlights, which are few and far between, include

- the guy having visions of the people he hates being cartoonishly, over-the-top evil

- a rather cute cat

- that one horny police guy being driven off a cliff so we don't have to look at his awful jacket anymore.

Beyond that, there just isn't much here, and certainly nothing that can hold a candle to Dr. Phibes in terms of medical malpractice revenge thrillers.

don't read immortal days it does things to your brain. i can't watch films anymore without going and how would PHILL feel about this. would phill make myeol watch this. would phill have this in his dvd collection for the sake of collecting it but kind of hate it for being sappy and how many seconds could he hold fast against myeols big wet eyes when he asks to watch it because it has a dog on the cover. what would myeol rate this on letterboxd. does the MCU exist in the ID universe. actually pivoting back to the topic of letterboxd yes i think myeol has a letterboxd on account of phill absolutely has a letterboxd and myeol sees him logging stuff and hes been watching so many films lately he might as well download it too. myeol always leaves a comment, but pre myeol, phill only ever logged star ratings; no one else on the app is a real human (to him) and not only do their opinions not matter, but also they don't deserve to see his Enlightened, Mortal Takes. they wouldn't get it. he only starts leaving actual reviews as a devious ploy to inspire feelings of kinship in myeol so that he'll stick with him forever like, maybe if myeol reads enough letterboxd reviews he'll fully understand him. in practice, however, most of his reviews are just showing off film trivia like a peacock trying to impress it's mate or in this scenario, it's employee, or alternatively theyre the letterboxd equivalent of pulling myeols pigtails. i can very clearly imagine them chatting for hours back and forth in the comments section of a review for the last film they watched before myeols shift finished. checking each others activity before bed like a ritual. this got ahead of me because it's 2am what was i talking about. uh. phill would like creep (2014). on behalf of him being kind of a creep, like the creep from creep (2014).
