I've been wanting to make a cyborg 009 style anatomy chart for a bit now. I've theorized my plant homunculi anatomy before in 2020 but I wanted to guess some possible pseudoscience names.

Ame used to be Ameoba and he used to be a single cell. I changed him to a plant to match his sister but I still do like to add some cell anatomy in there.

#i like cyborg 009 and have many opinions. i got the manga when i was 11.. potentially too early to read it haha. i like the 2001 anime still #ft ame #he and his sister were made to be a breeding pair but they both can produce stamens and carpels!#any visual differences between them were made to better market their creation for grant money #my art #my ocs #they do not breed however. they are socially bonded as siblings #ame is naturally dickless but can mimic a dick if he goes to the public bathhouse #maybe if they're ever pollinated their head would fall off and turn into a plantable fruit or something..#both tsuki and ame would be more willing to graft and propagate dead siblings than pollinate though.. make some clones maybe

#Barton Fink was written during the writing of Miller’s Crossing and produced very shortly after #so it only makes sense it’d be gay as well #but oh my god the amount of homoeroticsm in their movies in general is staggering #maybe Ethan Coen’s lesbian wife helps with that perspective #or maybe they just go ‘John’s in this one. Gotta make it gay’#there’s really no reason for me to include the quote since it’s the same as the one in the wiki blurb #but it was so so hard to find it so I’m using it #the linked source was a book of their interviews that I could not find a pdf of anywhere. the internet archive copy was unavailable #and googling the quote just linked me back to forum pages and Wikipedia #eventually got access to a preview which showed me the table of contents #found out who the interviewer was from that #and from there tracked down that it was published in November 2001’s playboy #playboy’s archives are paywalled but I found a book that compiled years of playboy interviews #found that book on the internet archive and FINALLY found the context of the quote and it’s literally just…what Wikipedia told me #I can’t say it was worth it but no one can say I don’t do my due diligence!#anyway thank you John for going gay for pay so regularly #gay for the love of the game really. bless him #barton fink #john turturro
