Literally what kind of education are the little six year olds Fire and Thunder getting at the Deapon Weapon Meister Academy. They're literally in the eighth grade with Kilik.
I figure they have their own packets of age-appropriate assignments to work on by themselves, but outside of resonance and combat training, what can be expected of them. There's no way they can keep up in gym class. They're six. Wtf are they doing here

Note
I'll be honest before reading the whole manga I truly believed that "wow the B-team get a whole lot of focus!" but after reading it it seems that even if they get more in the end they still feel like negligible parts of it all (besides the Ox-Kim thing and some little scenes) If I was cheeky I would say that it is actually a plus of the anime that they got shown so little because they didnt matter in the end so not focusing on them was the right call.
I mean, I think Team B gets short shrift in the first anime.
Granted, we get a lot of Kim and Jackie in the NOT anime, thanks to that anime sticking close to the manga. And we get most of Ox’s big moments in the first anime, such as the Ultimate Written Exam, and some anime-only stuff in the Excalibur episodes.
But we miss out on the big Ox moment, that being his dedication to bring Kim back to the DWMA.
And we don’t get to see Kilik wielding four weapons. (Anime reboot stans? _That_ is the moment that needs an adaptation.)
I think losing Ox’s Baba Yaga moment and Kilik’s contributions to fights is enough to make me think they got better served in the manga (although, at least the anime removed the worst parts from the Hiro and Excalibur episode with regards to Kim and Jackie).
In comparison, I struggle to think how the anime serves Team B better. We get some more scenes with Ox in the Excalibur episodes, and those scenes are funny. Jackie is a non-entity in the first anime. Kilik’s participation in the fight during the third Excalibur episode is well done. We get their disguises in Baba Yaga Castle, but they don’t do something as big and flashy as Team A in that anime finale--important for infiltrating the enemy headquarters, just not as memorable or built up in a way to let us love these characters and cheer them on. I find it hard to act like this anime sequence compares at all to how emotional Kim and Ox get in the manga’s Baba Yaga arc, or Kim’s dramatic arrival on the Moon (before slapping Ox for shaving his head), or Kilik firing Azusa at Asura from the Earth’s surface.
But you’re not wrong that the fandom response to Team B would give the impression they must be a big part of the manga--because, honestly, this fanbase is usually excellent at giving attention to underserved characters. Maybe that’s more noticeable with how fans give us a lot more depth to Maka and other main characters. But they don’t slouch on giving Kilik and the Pots attention, as well as attention to Kim and Jackie and Ox.
Too bad Harvar is a rather blank slate.

Sorry to rant again but my mom keeps going on about how the meds I have to be on to be able to walk are “so addictive” and I “really need to be careful with that stuff” and can we please stop making people feel guilty for taking medications?
Before I got my diagnosis it was, “well if it is autoimmune, you can’t take the meds because they give you cancer”. Guess what?? My diagnosis ended up meaning that if I DON’T take those medications I will live in excruciating pain and die early.
Do you think I really like taking all these meds? The ones that increase my risk of developing all kinds of harmful secondary conditions? The ones that make it so I could potentially die from a usually harmless infection because I’m immunocompromised?
It’s between being “addicted” to Gabapentin or being able to walk, Mom.

If I had more time with this it would have many more carvings, but I will have to settle with what I got: some trilobites, Pikaia, Tiktaalik, Thrinaxodon and Broomistega, Ramphorynchus, Spinosaurus, a coelacanth, and Sahelanthropus tchadensis

Object OCs inspired by Thai culture!
Explanation for each of them below!
From left to right, top to bottom, we'll start with Phuang Malai, also known as Malai! These are floral garland often given to people as a show of respect, gratitude, luck, importance, etc etc, but they can also be used as decorations
They can come in many different shapes and sizes, all for different purposes! Some are worn on the neck, some on the wrist, others are not worn at all. Traditionally, they're made with fresh flower, but nowadays, you can find ones made of plastic flowers or any other material
Tumblr media
Next, Triangle Pillow, also known as Thai pillows, are very firm and. Y'know. Triangular pillows. They can come alone as just a pillow, or as a foldable pillow + mattress combo!
These can be used in many ways, as a head cushion, as a seat, or as a bed if it's long enough. It is said to help a lot with relieving back pain. I believe it originated from Northern Thailand? I mean the patterns and some of my research seems to say so
Tumblr media
Next, the Chula Kite! Not much to say here aside from that fact that it's one of the many kite shapes we have here
Tumblr media
Fun fact: Chula is also seen in the Thai alphabet! (All Thai consonants are associated with a specific word)
Tumblr media
Pla Tapien, literally means "barb (the fish)" because it's based on one. These are traditionally made via woven palm leaves, but modern ones can be made using paper or some other material as well
Tumblr media
Next, we have Fire Pots! Admittedly, these are more of a Chinese thing than a Thai thing, but we were HEAVILY influenced by Chinese culture (and Indian culture). These pots have a hole at the bottom for putting a candle in, which is used to keep the food heated for longer periods of time
Tumblr media
And finally, Lotus Pot!
Tumblr media
Originally, I wanted to use the traditional dragon jar (shown below), since it's the symbol of Ratchaburi (my dad's hometown), but the design got too busy, so I settled with a more generic pattern
Tumblr media
Fun fact: This thing was the very reason I started this whole thing

I don't draw April enough so here's a four-page comic about her lmao
Anyway, I think Draxum would have a bit of a steep learning curve when it comes to living in a human apartment, and given that April lives in the same building he probably goes to her first if he needs something explained.
