finally making a bunch of band patches for the back of my battle vest!

so far I have fall out boy, of monsters and men, sea girls, dreamers, iamx, motion city soundtrack, my chemical romance, bring me the horizon, glass animals, the 1975, hozier, and raccoon tour. the ones I have left to make are lord huron, lemon demon, mother mother, pvris, pom pom squad, idon'tknowhowbuttheyfoundme, poppy, and maaaaybe sleep token but I'm still waffling on that one

I'm making these by cutting stencils out of contact paper scraps, sticking them to the salvage fabric from the jacket's sleeves, and painting them with homemade fabric paint made out of acrylic, fabric softener, and mod podge.

Submitter's Note: If ever there was an album to listen to in order at least once, it would be this. It is, according to the band, "a sprawling five-act rock opera about the internet, culture, human relationships, and the apocalypse". Technically the album invites you to choose your own ending, but I think there's a lot of meaning in listening all the way through. As a heads up, the album is, at various points, quite emotionally heavy.

The scene has changed so much since the 70s, becoming needlessly strict and gatekeeping. It begs the question: has the definition of the scene itself changed over the years or have the types of people in it changed? My vote is the second. There's so many bigoted arguments and extremist definitions that I'm not even sure if there IS a true definition anymore unless we stick with the ogs.

Point is, just be yourself. Listen to the music, rebel, have firm beliefs and stop giving a damn. You'll be a punk ass in my book.
