Realizing that his ‘discomfort’ with Felix was due to his quickly resurfacing feelings for Aurelia hit poor Grey like a Wyrmlord piloting a runaway yacht. After a small argument with Lark regarding the bodyguard’s ability to keep Auri safe, she calls him out on his jealousy, questioning why on earth a surgeon of his standing would be jealous of someone like Felix-

Only to be met with his own confused (albeit quickly sobering) expression, before storming out of his own office. Lark thankfully didn’t have to go far to catch him, as Grey only made it about 10 feet before collapsing into the chairs in a nearby hallway for a very, very daunting realization: He still loved the woman who’s heart he broke 10 years ago.

A woman who also just so happened to currently be on a very high profile hit list and not at all handling it well. Thus began 6 ROOOOUGH weeks of Greyson doing everything in his power to ignore, suppress, or hide from whatever feelings came to grip him by the throat (as seen here).
