se posso dire, sono molto contento di come stavo oggi. Ero super attivo come tanto tempo fa, prima che il mio cuore si incrinasse per un lungo periodo.

Ero pieno di energie, ho parlato e scherzato con tutti, ho dato una mano ad nel gestire la fase torta e candeline, ho fatto amicizia.

Oggi ero proprio in forma grazie a delle cosette che sto facendo ultimamente e spero continui così.

Ho bisogno di questa energia per la sessione, per nuove conoscenze, per riprendere le passioni.

This bit of Les mis is very funny:

Marius heard Mother Jondrette’s heavy hand fumbling at his lock in the dark. The door opened. He remained nailed to the spot with the shock and with horror.

Marius when Madame Thenardier enters his room:

Così canta Éponine, il mio personaggio preferito del mio musical preferito, Les Misérables, quando muore sulle barricate sacrificandosi per Marius, il suo grande amore non corrisposto. Mi ha da sempre colpito la caratterizzazione di questo personaggio, il suo grande coraggio e l’amore profondo per quest’uomo e per gli ideali che condivide con lui, che la spingono a sacrificare la sua vita per salvarlo in battaglia. È un amore struggente, irrealizzabile, visto che il cuore di Marius appartiene a Cosette, ma questo a Éponine non importa. Per questo sul punto di andarsene per sempre gli chiede un bacio, che possa darle quella felicità che per tutta la vita ha sperato di trovare ma che non avrà mai.

It seems like Cosette started wear blue dress since 2010s...

so my mum got me this korean adaptation of les mis made for children. it was published in 2021 and is actually really complete in terms of giving historical and political context, and even includes some facts about victor hugo. but it’s really cute and a good way to get children into classics i think (and on a personal note, its nice to know i have enough of a level in korean to understand a children’s book lol..)

the story is centered about cosette and valjean’s lives (from the chain gang to valjean rescuing cosette to the convent), cosette and marius (none of les amis are mentioned except for when “the commander” allows valjean to kill javert) and éponine’s death is described and illustrated as it’s a plot point in marius and cosette’s relationship. it also focuses a bit on javert and valjean’s relationship and ends with valjean dying, cosette and marius by his side.

also it made me think of how cosette in the perfect manhwa heroine, with her tragic past that turns into a “beautiful” and successful future in which she ends up happily married, never thought of that.

it’s ≈130 pages and clearly a children book but the illustrations are really good (manhwa-style) so here are marius and cosette because. theyre adorable in this art style.

Okay I opened up the Shoujo Cosette DVD!There’s 10 discs and a little booklet with episode summaries, concept art and a bunch of other stuff too! I don’t own a dvd player rn to watch it yet ^^’ but I think it’s got both the Japanese and Italian versions on it! I’d really like to scan and upload the whole booklet when I’m able to access a scanner, and Jean said he’d help me upload the episodes online too so I’ll keep everyone updated on how that goes 😌 Once I’ve got the booklet scanned if anyone wants to have a go translating it into English the help would be very welcome since I can’t speak Italian myself ^^’ <3
