I have had Epic the Musical on my mind lately, it just took me some time to decide what Pokemon to make Odysseus. I figured since he is a descendant of Hermes, his grandfather was canonically a shapeshifter, and he's known for being tricky and clever, kinda like a Fox...it made sense in my mind to make him a Zoroark. Maybe his son Telemachus would be a Rockruff cause he's the "Little Wolf"

In the story of Homer's Odyssey, Odysseus and his crew go through several metric ton of utter bullshit between interference from the Gods and Monsters alike on what should have been a pretty quick journey. The actual distance between Troy and Ithaca is about 560 nautical miles. Ancient Boats of their time and make could travel about 4-6 knots depending on conditions, and having just left a war the soldiers were probably short on supplies, so they may have needed to stop on islands along the way to hunt and forage. Without any outside obstruction it probably would have taken at least a week or two, at most about a month. Instead he was lost at Sea for 10 years missing his wife and son, and in his absence being presumed dead the Nobles of Ithaca decided one of them should be the next king and tried to forcibly marry his wife and kill his son.

Historically, we know that the Trojan war was a real event that took place around 1200 BCE, towards the end of the Bronze age because we have found the ruins of Troy. Also around the end of the Bronze age we see reference from multiple civilizations including from Egypt about a group we know as "The Sea People" who appeared to be of the Aegean Tribes aka Greeks, and these Sea People were known to engage in a LOT of Piracy and attacks on coastal civilizations...so the real story that probably inspired the Odyssey was not so much soldiers getting lost at sea for 10 years, but decided to go on a Pirating tour of the Mediterranean...So Technically Odysseus is also a Pirate.

fox's black 'spec ops' armor is actually the armor he wore when palps sent him out on blackout missions. he was extremely conflicted about putting it back on willingly. (he got a new guard set later)

His knee injury wasn't in his file. It happened on Kamino, and would have been an instant decommission if the clone medics hadn't smuggled him in for emergency surgery after training hours.

hound tore his ACL on kamino. thanks to the magic of sci fi technology he was able to get back into shape much faster than a real ACL tear would be able to

The fourth bed might even be nicer than the others; the mattress and pillows were still a little fluffy from having not been slept on.

briefly alluded to in the tags, but the reason fox's old bed is still so nice is because he usually slept in his office

Whatever was haunting it demanded peace and quiet, and even Thorn and Stone seemed to subconsciously try not to jostle the bed while passing by.

on the extremely rare occasions that fox actually slept in his bunk, they were all very careful not to disturb him because they knew he needed his sleep. it definitely had nothing to do with cmo defib threatening extreme levels of violence should they wake him up

been learning how to render liquid cartoonilly-realistically, and it’s been fun! figuring out layering and stuff. learning on my own :]! i’m not weird about liquid i just love rendering it <3,, speaking of rendering; i’ve definitely gotten better at rendering him, but am tryna squeeze in a simpler sketchy style to draw faster. the layers are fun but they take a while <\3

ok this might be a little weird but to keep the blood out of his throat his voice is a little breathy sometimes (hence the excessive ‘h’s. its fun to write them lmao). breathy autotune 😭

alsO the stitches on his hoodie elbows are from his ability to detach his forearms, and they stay connected to him with the same rope his neck is made of. his anatomy is questionable but long neck = less gut (its stored inside him). lots of huggable ability ❤️. HES SUCH A DAD. it’s like beer gut but not,,AND because those arms are connected to his gut, if you like…lean into him too hard or whatever his hands twitch. playfully pumch him and his hands shudder. silly guy. i know its definitely an interesting way to interpret soul but i like him like this :]

Introducing: Phoxy the Pirate and his Daughter Roxy the Lycanroc. Phoxy started as an actual Pirate, but he made a pretty successful career as an entertainer joining a band with his friends: An Ursaring, Diggersby, and Combusken, but they fell out of popularity after a series of murders happened in their tavern. His daughter Roxanne followed him in the entertainment industry trying to make her own name for herself and got a little blinded by the limelight letting it make her a bit of a self obsessed diva before ACTUALLY going blind when some child mugged her and stole her eyes! Her father of course, is very infuriated that somebody has mutilated his princess so now he's on the hunt to find the little whelp who did this for revenge! Roxy on the other hand has become a little more humble since she can no longer obsess over her looks.
