@ask-the-golden-god *Genera approaches the meowscarada with a bounce in her step.*

Gen: Hey hey hey! You look so amazing! That outfit just looks so good on you! Are you here to soak up the sun and grab some rays? I imagine it'd be great for a grass type like you!

Julius beams at the young woman as she approaches.

"Hello, hello! Right back at you, love, you look divine. The sun will do wonders for me, yes, but we grass types have sensitive skin. Too much vitamin D, and I'll be turned to a crisp!"

He continues to gaze at her, his eyes taking on a subtle, sullen look.

"I've seen you going around conversing with others, and well... there's this brilliance about you that I admire. You really are a very beautiful soul..."

He would have ended it there, but... something was nagging at him.

Why did this girl seem so... familiar? Something with her hair? Her demeanor? Maybe both? Definitely both. The picture - or rather person - was coming to mind now. Not that she ever left. It's so odd how someone, even a complete stranger, can remind you of happy times. Revive memories from deep within they have no idea about.

His lips form a straight line as he thinks of what to say. Nothing particularly suave is coming to mind. Not much at all, really. Gosh. It was back then all over again. Still, he wanted to leave her with something. If words wouldn't come, then maybe...

Maybe...

"Just.. see what happens..."

He all at once takes up her left hand and gives it a small lick. Instantly, he felt stupid, but something else in him felt at ease. For the time being, at least.

Leaning back up, he smoothes his hair back before speaking.

"I hope I've not upset you in any way... it's just-" He pauses as he feels his eyes sting with the beginnings of hot tears. He blinks hard, quickly reaching a hand up to wipe away one that managed to squirm free.

"Uh- never mind! Enjoy your stay here."

Julius smiles at her one last time before giving a small wave and leaving to go chat with the other beach goers.

Romeo: The Gallade approaches the Meowscarada with curiosity in his mind. "Howdy, didn't help but notice that you don't have a mask on with ya. I never thought it's possible for a Meowscarada to remove their 'mask'. Thought it's like attached to them. Hope I'm not a bother to ya just wanted to say hello. So, what brings you here? Here to play in the water or just enjoying the view?"

Julius: Where I’m from, we make ours out of paper and cardboard. You know, arts and crafts stuff, like normal people? I think I would die if I had to wear that thing around ALL the time!

Julius: As for why I’m here? Welll, it’s still cold out back home and I was getting fed up with it. We still have to go through the winter, ICK!! I live for the warmer months of the year. Sure it can get hotter than the tip of a Charizard’s tail, but to me it’s much more tolerable than being stuck inside with a runny nose and wrapped in a blanket from head to toe!

As she approaches rather unfamiliar Meowscarada, she is always too excited and waves two paws as a greeting.

"HIIII! I LIKE YOUR FIT!

Okay, I need to calm down a bit... Man, I think this place growing on me, haha.... Anyways, I'm Petunia, what aboutcha?"

The approaching Meowstic startled him initially, but her enthusiasm was infectious. He soon perks up and greets her warmly.

"Why hello there, my dear! I must thank you for such a wonderful compliment!" He sings. "I must say, you're in excellent shape. It's good to see others enjoy taking care of themselves as well." He does a few playful flexing motions with his arms.

"I'm surprised you've never heard of me before. I'd like to think I'm known throughout the galaxy for my radiance and sheer talent! I'm pretty much a superstar back home!"

The Meowscarada has identified himself as "Julius."

Somewhere in a small Pokémon settlement...

"Alright, take five, everyone! And you - don't go running off again. While we're on break, you should be going over the script. It's important to-"

"'sTaY oN tAsK', yeah yeah! Geez, you're such a broken effin' record! I'll read the damn thing, alright?? But I'm taking my break first." A Meowscarada sneers.

He crosses his arms and storms backstage for his break. Plopping down onto a rolling stool, he sighs loudly. Looking to the window beside him, he sees that it's began to rain very lightly. He frowns up.

"One more day of freezing cold rain, and I just might - ... WAIT A SECOND!!" The Meowscarada hops up from the stool and nearly throws himself off his paws scurrying over to a nearby box. He begins sifting through it, eventually finding what it is he's looking for nestled in the bottom.

"Aha! I knew it was still in here! I'm not freezing my ass off for another minute!! Now just what am I gonna wear, hmm...?" He pauses to think, the answer coming to him quite quickly. He gets up off of his knees and hurries to find his desired outfit.

Now that he's all dressed up, he goes and grabs his "ticket" and steps outside. Shivering from the cold and cringing from every droplet of the drizzle coming down, he runs for the cover of a young tree.

"Okay, how does this thing work again?" He asks the air. "What did he say...?? I just 'close my eyes and think of where I want to go'? Seems easy enough!"

He closes his eyes and twirls the crystal around in his hand as he pictures the most beautiful beach he can. Palm trees, warm sand, gentle ocean breezes. Perfect! Now-

*BLIP*

He'd felt the sun on him before he even had a chance to open his eyes. When he did, he was completely astonished. It was just like he'd pictured. Though, the faces he's seeing don't look familiar in the slightest.

"Am I even..? Is this even the same planet??"

"A beach is a beach!"

??? has joined the event.

A few notes:

◇ The purple dots on his neck are from where the petals of his flower grow. He plucks them for work and many other reasons.

◇ The other eye is normal. He just wears his hair like that.

◇ The little emblem on his top and shorts is a School Form Wishiwashi.

Refer to his original ref under the cut for his face markings! They are the same as his mask! (It's from 2024 and very old, and I draw him differently now (anthrofication beam), so apologies in advance XD)

Yet another Pokémon emerges from the brush and approaches the Zoroark. An odd looking one at that. He's never seen whatever they are before.

Faint rumbling from the fox picked up the more they let their mouth run, growing louder the more they babbled on. He bares his teeth at them as the rumbling bubbles up into a low growl, finally exiting his chest as a deep snarl.

This seems to have grabbed their attention, or at least put them on edge, as they have gone silent.

He seemed to be more focused on the insult rather than the question pertaining to the scar "decorating" his neck. He had no intention of answering that to begin with. Though he was intent on teaching a lesson here.

Kaine: Do you ask everyone you come across such absurd questions??

Fresh new update tomorrow some time, hopefully!! Finally had a mini vacation from work and said, “Dawg the fam is starving we have to cook.” I’ve re entered my teeth drawing era with this man XD It’s fun now that I’m actually putting in the effort to understand them.

In the deepest recesses of one's being lies their soul. Every fiber of them wound up tight into a perfect, neat little sphere. Around it is the being's astral body. It keeps the soul safe from outside influences and potential harm, be it physical, spiritual, or emotional.

It is not often that something penetrates the astral body and reaches the soul. They are surprisingly very resilient despite having the appearance of glass and the texture of velvet.

In the case that something does? Well, that's never happened before... at least, not until *they came along.

They're called *Vistors when they stay for as long as these have. We call it *Possession where I'm from, but that doesn't really matter, I guess. What does matter is the damage they can cause when they overstay their welcome.

I have a feeling *their cases aren't either of those terms. I think they were cursed. And in that case...

What kind of monster would do such a thing?

It's the same dream again. Staring up at a pitch black sky over a deep sea of endless void. The Zoroark falls to his knees as a whimper escapes him. It was happening again. Why was it happening again?? How long ago had it been, now? A year, maybe two? He was certain he wouldn't have to have it re-done for a long while.

Unless... this year really would be it...

Should he even bother? Would it even matter? It wouldn't stop that thing from coming back. It wouldn't stop it from thumping against his skull or clawing at his insides with that horrible, terrible word dripping from it's blackened tounge.

SSSSSHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAA

Heh. Right on cue.

The dreaded sound of what seems like thousands of whispering voices picks up. Kaine braces himself as he feels a presence race towards him. As it converges on him the voices meld into one and abruptly stop.

The entity snatches at the chains of the Fairy Lock tethering them together, causing Kaine to yell out in pain. It only eases up when it sees that he's not fighting back.

Good. That's good.

The magic being used to restrain it truly is losing its potency. Might as well have its turn at the mic before it inevitably had to be put back inside its box.
