Cree Summer has mentioned her disappointment that Kida is excluded from the official princess lineup, and people credit that to the failure of the movie…but I think the real reason is closer to: “ooh, she’s pretty! let’s watch her movie now!” / “Mommy, turn it off! this is boring and/or scary! where’s the princess? and why is nobody singing?!”

…which is why it would be so, so, SO inspiring to know that somewhere out there, in the sea of little Elsa acolytes, is a tiny child whose hero is this kind, curious, and powerful ancient queen—or possibly cooler yet, the lovable brainiac who followed his dream and bravely helped her restore her legendary kingdom ♡

Which of the Dinsey princesses do you think would be close friends with each other?

Well, I love Amy Mebberson's Pocket Princesses comic, where all the Princesses are roommates, and I think the way she pairs them off into particularly close friend groups ring true.

Ariel, Jasmine, Rapunzel, and Moana would all get along well because of their shared love of freedom and exploration, and the fact that before they could be free, they all had to deal with an overprotective parent (or rather, three well-meaning overprotective fathers and one truly nasty, selfish foster mother). Ariel and Moana also have their "sea" theme in common.

Mulan, Merida, and Raya would get along well as the tomboyish athletes and warriors of the group, although it makes sense to think there might be some (mostly) friendly rivalry between them.

Cinderella and Tiana would bond over their mutual rags-to-riches stories, their shared domestic skills, and their similar blend of down-to-earth, hardworking humility with feminine grace and dignity.

Belle would be especially good friends with Snow White and Cinderella, though she would relate more to Cinderella as a peer and be more like an older sister figure to Snow White. At any rate, I can see them bonding over tea, dance practice, and fairy tale books.

Aurora and Pocahontas would get along well because they both love nature and animals, and they strike a similar balance between dignity and playfulness.

I also think the three Walt-era Princesses – Snow White, Cinderella, and Aurora – would be especially close to each other in some ways. While each one is distinct, they have many things in common that set them apart from all the other Princesses. If we imagine that all three of them remember Walt and what the studio was like in his lifetime, then they could bond over those memories too.

Okay so the Pocket Princesses often wear their period costumes and their modern day outfits

Here's how I imagine the Pocket Princesses' Modern Day styles

. Snow White : Vintage vibes, cute attires with pretty dresses, heels and gloves ( style nods to Minnie Mouse, Audrey Hepburn, Lillian Bounds and Jackie Bouvier )

. Cinderella : Gorgeous soft romantic glam styles with often pastel shades ( style nods to Sue Storm, Grace Kelly and CZ Guest )

. Aurora : Romantic soft academia styles with flowing skirts and French Street styles ( style nods to Brigitte Bardot and Serena Van Der Woodsen )

. Ariel : Ocean core cute and trendy styles, often with sneakers ( style nods to Ginny Weasley, Phoebe Buffay from Friends, and Cher Horowitz )

. Belle : Preppy academia with French style cuts ( style nods to Hermione Granger, Gwen Stacy and Charlotte York )

. Jasmine : Absolutely DRIPPING in Arabian/Indian heiress styles ( style nods to Layla El Faouly, Aishwarya Rai and Princess Fawzia of Egypt )

. Mulan : Edgy/punk Chinese Street fashion with beanies and sneakers ( style nods to Katy Chen and Melinda May )

. Pocahontas : KILLING it with Powhatan inspired Street style, with pattern cloaks and floral pants ( basically more of boho chic style )

. Tiana : A mix of vintage cuts and more modern cuts, with often statement accessories and bold dresses ( style nods to Coretta Scot, Hilary Banks from Fresh Prince, and also Liz Allen from MCU )

. Raya : Athleisure chic style with Southeast Asian style elements, and got gold statement accessories

. Elsa : Classy, ladylike styles fit for a real queen, with often furs and capes ( style nods to Greta Garbo, Kate Middleton and Fleur Delacour )

. Anna : Warm, vibrant shades with trendy girly fashions ( style nods to Mary Jane Watson and Fran Fine from The Nanny )

The thing about Wyll is that he Gets It. He knows the story. He knows the kind of man his father is and the kind of man he was supposed to be. He knew what Mizora was when he made the pact. He knew what it meant. And he was just a kid, and his city needed saving, so he did it, and he paid that price, and even knowing all of that he still tried to appeal to his father for understanding and forgiveness.

He sold his soul to do the right thing. And he was cast out. And he knew what character that should have made him.

He knows the story he's in, and every day he chooses who he wants to be instead.

Dp x Dc AU: Jazz Fenton, after years of fixing her brother’s injuries, becomes a Doctor with an inclination towards behavioral health and psychology- In order to make the difference she wants to see in the world she joins Dr. Leslie Thompkin’s practice. 

Jazz Fenton, M.D. has spent years of her life doing research, doing the hard work and the emotional labor, and finally, finally, she’s joining a practice she can feel 100% confident in. She’s goddamn good doctor and she wants to make the biggest impact that she can. 

Dr. Thompkins (who insists that she call her Leslie as they’re colleagues now), is a kind woman, sharp as a tack and keeps her practice open at odd hours to help the most unfortunate. It took some time for them to bond and trust to be built, but now Jazz is being allotted a few night shifts here and there. 

It’s incredible. Jazz gets to spend time with the kids who come in and really talk to them (in addition to getting them antibiotics, heating pads and pokemon themed bandaids) to help equip them with a few coping skills. Her passion for psychology never disappeared after all, but the expansive knowledge of how to heal the human body has made her find a sense of fulfillment like no other.

Having proven herself and worn Leslie down, Jazz now takes up about 1/3 of all the night shifts in the month. She’s hoping to get to 50/50 by the end of the year but she’s content with what she has. Danny keeps odd hours anyway so calling him after work on her walk home can happen any time of day and he will always answer enthusiastically. 

It’s a particularly busy night before he comes in. The Red Hood. 

He was known for being an ally to Leslie, despite being on contentious terms with the Bats, but Jazz had never asked directly. Never one to turn away a patient with bullet hole wounds, she hops into action to get his wounds cleaned, sewed up and gauze wrapped. She’s handing him a sheet (an Infographic! Dani made it with her! Graphic design is her passion!) on how to care for his wounds when he first seems to recognize that she’s not Leslie. 

“No, Of course not. I’m Dr. Fenton. I can’t blame you for not remembering but I did introduce myself as you bled in the entry way. You’re Red Hood, right?” 

“Hm. Didn’t realize the practice was expanding. Where can I find-” He grumbles before pushing her hand aside from where she had still been supporting his shoulder.

“Hold on there, mister. You’re going home, you’re following this infographic and you’re going to get some sleep.” 

“Lady you don’t know-” His voice modulated ton came across antagonistically. As if he was trying to intimidate her. Ha, Jazz rolls her eyes at the inclination.

“Who I’m talking to? Who I’m dealing with? You’re hilarious. I can eat you vigilante’s hero complexes for breakfast. Tell me who I’m calling to pick you up and then you can say thank you.” Jazz snaps at him. It really had been a long night but his whole dialogue thus far is making her a bit batty. 

“Oh really Doc? You know Leslie’s tough shit, and from what I can tell you’ve got nothing on her-” 

“Trying to make me feel insufficient when I just saved your life? That’s cute. I’m sure a lifetime of abandonment by both of your parental figures gave you that. I’m also sure that you inherited this desire to prove you’re not going to be dependent on anyone who wants to help from whoever got you dressing up in tights to fight crime in the first place. Again, I’d love to talk at length about how predictable you-” 

“Bwah- wait- I’m Predictable? You’re probably some nepobaby who had parents who told her she could have the world-” But Jazz cuts him off with hysterical laughter- he couldn’t be further from the truth. Her parents loved her, but nepotism? With what, the ghosts? If anything she got that from Danny, but he doesn’t need to know about her ghostly titles. 

“You’re just some guy who came back from the dead and made his trauma everyone else’s issue. So shut it. And tell me how I’m getting you home from this clinic.” She seethes though her voice stays devastatingly level with each word. 

Speechless for a moment, he eventually relents to Jazz that he’s already called for help on the comms but it will be hours before they can come for a pick up. The sun had already come up and the night had been over for most of them before Hood had walked into trouble. She groans and the realizes the time for herself and the empty clinic around them.

“Fine. My shift just ended anyway. I’ll get you home in one piece and I swear to all the ancients that you’d better follow the directions on the infographic.” 

And that’s how Jazz ended up calling her brother while supporting the weight of a grown ass man (who no longer wanted to talk to her) on her walk home. 

The next time Red Hood appears in her clinic, he’s brought a dozen roses in addition to the cut on his neck that definitely needs to be pressurized like ASAP. Did he stop for the flowers on his way to the clinic? He’s going to pass out from blood loss! She doesn’t even like roses!

. Snow White : Bavarian Sausage and Veggies Pottage, Cinnamon Rolls, and Black Rye Bread

. Cinderella : Gooseberry crumble, roast beef with mashed potatoes and gravy, pumpkin soup

. Aurora : Mixed Berry crumble, Chicken Fricassee and Leek and Potato Soup

. Belle : French Onion Soup, Rib Eye fillet with Ratatouille, and also creme Brulee

. Jasmine : Lamb Kabsa and Gulab Jamun

. Ariel : Smorrebrod platter ( with seafood ), Danish Sailors Stew and also Chocolate Braided Danish Pastry

. Pocahontas : Three Sisters Stew ( a Native American stew with corn and beans ), Fry Bread, and Grape Dumplings

. Mulan : Hui Wo Rou ( aka Thinly sliced pork belly stir fried with cabbage and Chilli - a Sichuanese classic ), Spinach with Garlic, Tomato and Egg Drop soup, and also Chinese dates stuffed with Nuts

. Tiana : Gumbo and Peach Cobbler

. Raya : Tom Yum Soup, Grapefruit and Papaya Salad, Thai Roasted Chicken with Gluttonous rice, and Coconut Jelly Cakes

. Elsa and Anna : Smorgasbord platter, Roast Boar with Apple Sauce, Honey Glazed Root Vegetables, Mead, and Fruit and Cheese platter

. Merida : Haggis, Scottish Vegetable Stew, and Scottish Black Pudding

. Asha : Paella and Leche Fritas

. Rapunzel : Squash Hazelnut Soup, Sausages and Sauerkraut, Beer, and Raspberry Strudels
