if you post an image in discord itll round the corners, but once you hit a certain smallness it rounds into a circle. so basically if you make an image that is 32x32 and you post it in discord itll go from this

so you basically can just draw a little face in mspaint or something and paste it into discord and itll look like a little emoji. you can potentially mess around with this a lot, its proportional to your image going smaller and it doesnt have to be a square either.

with my nakba posts, here's some website recommendations if you want to learn on the history of specific depopulated palestinian areas:

palestine remembered is probably the most famous and comprehensive website with full documentations of former locations and depopulated villages. it also lists information on palestinian refugee camps, guestbooks, and the ability to submit pictures/info if you know of any. information on each village varies.

zochrot is an organization dedicated to teaching both palestinians and israelis about the 1948 nakba (which is not covered well if at all in israeli schools, as you can probably imagine), which includes documenting information on villages and even an app. information on each village varies.

the interactive encyclopedia for the palestinian question's places page has some detailed histories and a map as well, but doesn't go into the detail of the last two sites, and doesn't have pictures or sources.

some villages also have their own websites, and many of them are also in english (for example, the one i linked for kafr bir'im). honestly just look up (village name) + website and if it's there you'll find it.

wikipedia also has surprisingly comprehensive coverage of the villages, the articles include a little more of the "war" background than the other websites do. (and of course since it's wikipedia you can find further sources on there.)

all that remains: the palestinian villages occupied and depopulated by israel in 1948 is a famous book by palestinian historian walid khalidi which gives a detailed account of what became of 400 different depopulated palestinian villages. it was released in 1992, so it's not current, but many of the things he wrote still hold. a lot of the above links use this book as a source.

I have been meaning to explain the physical nature of my nonhumanity for a while! overall it can be explained by me having the nervous system of multiple animals, and it is doing its best to interpret stimuli. i didnt have room to add a few things, so i will list them here:

it is difficult for me to form thought processes, even short ones. much of the time, my brain is silent - even when i need otherwise. i usually rely on intuition and scattered words to form strings of thought. i attribute this to the less complex parts of my brain.

my best coping mechanisms involve indulgence in species activies, meditation intended for relaxation (to distract from bad nerve sensations), smoking weed, and allowing my needs to be fluid.

i have full control over my extra appendages, and their sensation is strongest at the base. these can change over time, and will infrequently mix species.

btw this was vaguely textbook inspired :3

I'm sad to report that Little Kitty Fantastico, aka "Tico," passed away earlier this week, at age 9, after a heart failure. He died at home, surrounded by love and cuddles.

He was such a good and beloved little guy. He was bonkers for lettuce & other greens, and he absolutely could not be trusted around salads. His skills included perching atop walls and keeping watch on everything below. Like his sisters, he was long and had arms that went on forever. He was usually both the goofiest and the floofiest of all his sibs, especially when he was begging for belly rubs.

He was exceptionally sweet and snuggly. (Especially with Winter, who is very sad now. 😿) We will miss him so much.

Can folks do me a favor and circulate this post widely to people with POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome)? I've got a question.

Bonus info: About a year ago, I lost my appetite completely and have been dealing with chronic, debilitating nausea (but rarely ever puking) for about a year and a half. I got diagnosed with POTS 3 years ago and take ivabradine daily for my tachycardia. All standard GI exams (colonscopy, endoscopy, gastric emptying study, full body CT with contrast) have come up perfectly normal and my IBS-C medication does not impact my nausea at all; it's equally bad when I take those meds as when I do not take those meds (constipation does not seem to be the cause of the nausea).

At my last electrocardio appointment, my doc said that colloquially this is a problem for POTS people. He said we don't know anything else. He said "sorry. Hang in there." This is ruining my life, so please throw some data at me. I want to have NUMBERS for my GI doctor at my next visit.

Jimmy is becoming a Watcher.

I think this because he’s been doing all of the praying to the watchers stuff, AND ITS WORKING.

I feel like what’s happened is in Secret Life the Watchers let Jimmy off the canary curse by one so that they could then ask him to join them/help them.

He dies second so that if he says no the argument could be made that he’s still the canary and stuff.

This also works with how angry Grian is with him, and how Grian wanted him to die second, as Jimmy working with the Watchers makes it harder for Grian to help the lifers
