Physical therapy for low back pain includes guided therapeutic exercises that strengthen the lower back muscles and condition the spinal tissues and joints. Most types of lower back pain are often referred to physical therapy as one of the first-line treatments. PeachCare Family Chiropractic offers physiotherapy for back pain. Physiotherapy helps to restore movement and function when someone is affected by injury, illness, or disability.

If you do a web search for "back pain and posture," you'll be met with articles about the effects of poor posture on the body, guides telling you how to reduce your back pain with posture exercises, and ads for all kinds of posture-correcting back braces and ergonomic devices. It seems to make sense. After all, we've been told that good posture makes us healthier and less susceptible to injury, and that bad posture leads to aches and pains down the line. But several researchers and clinicians say that there's not much evidence to support commonly held beliefs that bad posture leads to pain.

I need one of those orthopedic chairs that force you to keep your back straight because there's no fucking way I'm this sore after not even six hours spent sitting at my desk. I will be wheelchair-bound by the time I turn 30 at this rate, my nasty posture has genuinely started to impact my health and lifestyle (standing upright<<<<)
#mom. dad. i'm sorry i said i hated you when you told me i needed physiotherapy when i was 11#the situation was already awful back then but i always refused any attempt my parents made at making my life better. because i was stupid.#and now a little over ten years later here i am. with bad back pains#my whole career revolves around me sitting at a desk so i can't just. not do that.#“get a desk treadmill” 1. with what money exactly :( 2. i assure you that translating while walking isnt that easy#if anyone younger than 16 is reading this: listen to your parents. take care of your posture. bc in less than 10 yrs you'll pay for it

every time i talk about this stuff I'm reeling with the sheer amount of knowledge and how to convey it to the average layperson
but really if i could sum up everything I've learned about muscles, myofascial pain, and hypermobile, it's this:
start practicing how to do things with the least amount of muscles as possible.
#efficiency is key#the other thing i would say to sum it up is that yours pain is from a million causes that are all the same cause.#like listen. i used to not be able to stand without being in agony. now i just stand around sometimes.#no offense to the professionals (lie) but i know more than they do#i might just be the best physiotherapist you'll ever meet and i am not saying that because i am overconfident#im saying that because even the rheumatoid physiotherapy specialists couldn't keep up#shout out to chelsea tho she's been by far the closest#and also has gotten me hundreds of dollars of mobility aids for free uwuuwu#fatals physio corner#new tag because i guess im not shutting up about this#ill go back and tag the other shit

9 benefits of Wellness programs in the workplace
Introduction:
In the fast-paced corporate landscape, where deadlines loom large and stress levels soar, the significance of employee well-being cannot be overstated. The implementation of workplace wellness programs has emerged as a pivotal strategy for organizations striving to create a conducive and health-centric work environment. From boosting morale to enhancing productivity, these programs offer a myriad of advantages that go beyond the traditional employer-employee relationship. Let’s delve into the 9 key benefits of workplace wellness programs.
1. Improved Physical Health: Workplace wellness programs are designed to encourage and support healthier lifestyle choices. Fitness challenges, nutritional counseling, and preventive health screenings are often integral components. Employees who participate in these programs are more likely to adopt healthier habits, leading to a reduction in the risk of chronic diseases and improved overall physical health.
2. Enhanced Mental Well-being: Mental health is an integral aspect of overall well-being, and workplace wellness programs recognize its significance. Activities such as stress management workshops, meditation sessions, and counseling services contribute to a more supportive and positive work environment. As employees gain tools to manage stress and prioritize mental health, the overall workplace atmosphere becomes more conducive to sustained productivity.
3. Increased Productivity: Employee efficiency increases when they are in good physical and mental health. Wellness programs contribute to increased energy levels, reduced absenteeism, and improved concentration. By fostering a healthy work environment, organizations can create a culture that values employee well-being, ultimately boosting individual and collective productivity.
4. Enhanced Employee Morale: Workplace wellness programs are a tangible way for employers to demonstrate their commitment to the well-being of their staff. As employees witness the organization investing in their health and happiness, it fosters a sense of appreciation and loyalty. This, in turn, leads to higher morale and a more positive workplace culture.
5. Better Employee Engagement: Employee engagement is a critical factor in organizational success. Wellness programs provide opportunities for team-building activities, fostering a sense of community among colleagues. Whether through fitness challenges, health-related workshops, or group activities, these programs create shared experiences that contribute to stronger bonds among team members.
6. Attraction and Retention of Talent: Attracting and keeping the best employees in the competitive job market is a never-ending struggle. Workplace wellness programs can set an organization apart as a desirable employer. Prospective employees are increasingly valuing companies that prioritize their well-being. Moreover, existing staff are more likely to stay with an employer who actively supports their health and work-life balance.
7. Cost Savings for Employers: While the initial investment in workplace wellness programs may seem significant, the long-term cost savings can be substantial. By preventing chronic illnesses, reducing absenteeism, and improving overall employee health, organizations can mitigate healthcare costs. A healthier workforce is a more cost-effective one in the long run.
8. Positive Impact on Company Culture: Workplace wellness programs play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s culture. Organizations that prioritize employee well-being communicate a clear message about their values. This commitment resonates throughout the workplace, creating a culture where health and wellness are integral components of the company ethos.
9. Regulated Stress Levels: Workplace stress is a common concern that can lead to burnout and decreased job satisfaction. Wellness programs often include stress management initiatives, providing employees with tools to cope with the demands of their roles. By regulating stress levels, organizations can create an environment where employees feel supported and equipped to manage work-related pressures effectively.
Conclusion:
Workplace wellness initiatives by Ergophyx have become a fundamental element of contemporary organizational approaches, catering not only to physical health but also to the overall well-being of employees. These programs contribute to nurturing a positive company culture, realizing cost savings, and drawing in top talent, showcasing their diverse advantages. As organizations adopt the ethos of workplace wellness, they are not merely dedicating resources to employee health but also laying the foundation for enduring success in the ever-changing business landscape.

me when the physiotherapist asked if I had done anything like that before because apparently I was nailing all the exercises first try: ah great, I am going to get a good grade in physiotherapy, a thing that is both normal to want and possible to achieve,
#this was like 3 years ago and i do not do my exercises bc at that time staying alive was more important than remembering those movements#also i never was told how many repetitions to do or how often per day/week (i guess i couldve asked but didnt know how)#chronic back pain is inching closer with my scoliosis and bad posture and i should probably do something about it. but will i? hmmm#randombabbling#physiotherapy#scoliosis

I've been exhausted for the past two weeks and it feels like I'm about to snap in half in my back just below my ribs and it's like so weak there just holding myself up is painful let alone moving and mucking out stables. Idk whether to see anyone about it or if they aren't going to take me seriously (again) as I'm still no further with my neck/shoulder/arm other than it's likely fibromyalgia
What are opinions on chiropractors? My mum goes to one and swears by it. Hers do a full spine x-ray and a consultation to do a certain course of treatment (massage etc idk)
I get chiropractors for my horse but like it feels wildly different than for people (and weirdly cheaper for the horse)

Can’t believe that on the first day I feel vaguely productive towards finishing this very overdue assignment in a week, my back Fucking Hurts too much for me to want to sit at a desk and type like the only way to not be in some degree of pain is to lay in bed and then once in bed it is much too tempting to watch tv but I’ve been sat at the desk all day I’ve tried sitting on the floor sitting on the couch sitting up and bed but no I have reached the time of the day when the only relief comes when I am totally horizontal and I cannot work like that and that makes me very angry I hate my back I hate my back I hate my back.
#all that said it would hurt way less if I just did my physiotherapy and excercised but there has not been time because of the Very Overdue#Assignment and associated depressed mood keeping me firmly stuck in my appartment until it is finished#also I’d like to acknowledge that it isn’t like it’s debilitating pain it’s just kind of all over and pretty sharp and gets worse when I#breathe too deep.. like I’m fine it’s very low on the pain scale but it’s also higher than my back pain usually is and certainly higher than#the normal amount of back pain experienced on a daily basis by your average 19 year old#personal
