Hoooold on. I know none of y’all care about my personal posts but I just found out my batshit ex co-teacher tried to create an ESL certificate program in 2018 with her sister—neither of them had a degree in education. They are in no way qualified to teach people how to teach, and their “program” was just 3 in-person training days with them, online modules likely full of plagiarized materials they just threw together with no actual grading, and Zoom sessions “guiding” students on how their volunteer teaching (which they’d have to set up themselves) was going
Oh, and their justification for the “program” not being accredited was a 3-paragraph ramble on their website that accreditation is supposedly meaningless, anyway. What frauds! They wanted to charge people money for this! Call me crazy, but I think you should have a degree in education if you’re going to teach people how to teach! And it’s sleazy to present your unqualified asses as professionals who can hand out certificates that would actually mean dick on a CV! Thank god it seems like this thing was a colossal failure!
I’m recalling the last Zoom class I had with my ex co-teacher where she ignored my existence and told students that she did ESL because she had a ~passion~ and you can’t go to school to learn how to become an ESL teacher—but she literally tried to set up a bogus certificate program to do just that! I’m more convinced than ever that she only said that to downplay my credential that she doesn’t have, because she got super triggered by the fact that I actually have an M.S. Ed. in TESOL lmfao
#oh and the ex co-teacher wrote some blog post#about how yoga supposedly helped her become a better ESL teacher#hey crackpot—you know what actually helps you to become a better ESL teacher?#taking real education courses from a real university l m f a o#personal

i was going to complain about my history of photography teacher again but then i realized that all i have to say is that she is a white lady in her late 50s who teaches yoga in the pacific northwest and “tried out” she/they pronouns but decided it was “inauthentic” of her and then left them on her canvas account for another two years and she/her’d an artist she supposedly “just adores” who uses exclusively they/them pronouns while reading out an article which referred to them exclusively with they/them pronouns
#.txt#type of person.#i couldve left it at white college teacher who moonlights as a yoga instructor in the pnw but i decided the pronouns thing was annoying me
