when i saw the prompt in my ask box for dan and phil crafts horror i thought they accidentally sent me my own prompt lmao. i was so excited to work on it that i accidentally did two, full-page colour comics. whoops. Also, I know you requested MCR but I don't know enough of their songs so I chose a FOB song (I've got all this ringing in my ears and none on my fingers) it's an absolute banger and weirdly fit this idea i had. I'll drop the version with no text here if that's not your thing! I had a lot of fun drawing this and it was totally out of my comfort zone. I hope you like it! Merry Christmas! :)

Bruce: *bored as fuck and is literally willing to do anything*

Hal: Hey Spooky, you look like you could use some fun. Why don’t you let me take you out for dinner? *wiggling his eyebrows, very clearly joking to get a rise out of Bruce*

Justice League: Oh fuck, I always knew Green Lantern had a death wish *they’re all exchanging looks, ready to grab Hal just in case Bats decides to break his no kill rule*

Bruce: *has found the perfect opportunity to fuck with everyone* Sure, I like to be wined and dined. You’ll be paying for dinner. *walks out before anyone questions him*

Hal: … *turns to face the rest of the Justice League* Huh, who knew it’d be that easy?

Clark: *gritting his teeth* Yeah… who knew

Barry: *scoots away from Clark due to danger feeling*

Hal: Oh my gosh, what if this is a plan to murder me! *sweating, hands gripping his hair in fear*

Clark: *under his breath* Let’s hope he gets to you before I do *glowering*

Barry: *even more scared*

no one can make me believe that jason and reyna spoke in ENGLISH w eachother lol they're both latin freaks and discussed fully in latin that it became a lil awkward when they'd spoke english to one another (which is my imagined justification as to why they both found it soo difficult to connect after he became greek-ish, and why reyna was so put off by how unroman he became)

keep thinking about Hal being truly convinced that Bruce is a vampire.

like he's somehow always gone before dawn, he disappears with inhuman swiftness, along with his quick reflexes, what appears to be super strength, and the overall dark and broodiness, surely there's no other explanation.

so at some point Bruce is compromised by some unknown ailment on a mission with Hal, it leaves him weak, sweaty and shaky. And Hal is wracking his brain trying to figure out what the hell is wrong with him and how to help, and then it clicks.

Bats is hungry.

They've been on this mission for a while and not once has Hal seen him eat or drink anything, (in fact he's never seen Bruce do either of those things at all, further feeding into the vampire theory of course...). Hal figures being the stoic altruistic asshat that he is, he won't suck it up and admit he's starving and subject Hal to his blood-sucking needs.

mind made up, Hal tugs at the neckline of his suit so it's more accessible for Bruce,

H: look Bruce, I know this is probably the last thing you want to do, but from the looks of it your body really needs it, so would you drop the selfless act and take it already?

B, enraged: ...Hal, are you seriously propositioning me right now?

H: ?????????

(B: why was your first thought to offer your neck, you realize your arms would've worked just as well, and more importantly they're easier to access-

H: interesting how you know the most convenient way to bite someone...)

I’m seeing a bunch of posts that make me think most USAmericans don’t know about The No Surprises Act.

It was passed in 2021 (thank you Biden) and essentially states that if you don’t have insurance or your insurance doesn’t cover a service you need (or want) you are entitled to a Good Faith Estimate of the cost of care. (If your insurance does cover the service, you should be able to estimate the cost of care based on your deductible and co-pay.)

As a healthcare provider who does not accept any insurance, I am very careful to not violate The No Surprises Act. Why? Because for every penny more than $400 that the Good Faith Estimate was “off” (or if it wasn’t provided), you are entitled to a refund for that amount.

Y’all. Ask for a Good Faith Estimate. Get it in writing. Compare it to what you are paying. If you are not provided an estimate or if it’s wrong by more than $400, demand a refund.

Maybe its time to accept living alongside other people is dangerous and thats ok. Maybe we can finally begin to accept the obsession with safety is a vhecicle for far more horrendous violences than have ever been carried out with weaponry
