I know Obey Me is a gacha game first and foremost, their main goal is money and to profit from our want of stuff of the characters we adore. And I really hate to say it but...

Ive been really considering not playing Obey Me! (Nightbringer) anymore

Is it me or has the gacha system/"luck" gotten worse?

It feels like nowadays that it takes so much, especially money wise, to get anything good/new

This could just be a me thing. Maybe I've just been having insane months long terrible luck with the gachas and celestial blessing boxes cause the rng/luck gods hate me or something

I can't seem to get very far or much even if I do spend money and it's kinda wearing me down ngl

have a lil WIP sneak peek of the "reader runs away after Strade dies and TPOF!Ren finds them years and years later" multi-chapter fic I've been working on!

"What should I do with you?" He asks, and the last bit trails off a little into something almost sing-song that matches the way he dances the knife back and forth in front of the camera. In front of you. It makes your stomach clench and drop, makes your muscles tighten.

And oh, you hate this. You hate how it brings you back to Strade. You hate how it brings you back to Ren, too, a different Ren from the one in front of you. Half-formed, still waiting to crawl out of whatever oily cocoon he fashioned for himself in the years after you left.

Strade liked it when you and Ren gave him ideas on how to play with the two of you. Hurt you. Maim you. Never enough to kill, because where's the fun in that? And if you didn't come up with something, he'd sigh and call you boring, not a team player, maybe he ought to find someone new. So it was smarter, then, to play his game.

It was how you stayed alive long enough to get out.

But what's the game now?

Even though the situation is so fucking familiar (tied up and half-naked and in front of cameras being streamed to strangers who want you to hurt and die so, so much) you're in new territory that leaves you feeling like you could step off the edge at any moment. You don't know what Ren really wants, if he wants you dead or alive, if he'd really gut you like a fish in front of the cameras and have no qualms about it.

Or if there's anything you can do to keep yourself around another day.

"I don't know," you push out, teeth sticking to the inside of your dry mouth. "I don't know, I don't fucking know."

Ren--not-Ren, you suppose, with his mask and voice changer and the act he's putting on--tilts his head, quirking it comically like he's in a goddamn anime and not a serial killer murdering people on stream for profit.

"If you don't know, how am I supposed to know?"

"I don't know," you say, lips curling in disgust.

"So I've heard," he murmurs. He drops down, crouching on your level, and your chains rattle as you try to gain enough purchase to move away from him.

You can't, so you don't.

The flat part of his knife presses against your cheek, tilting only a little, slicing across the bandage that had been slapped onto your cheek somewhere between being drugged in the car and waking up in a cell.

The cut isn't deep but the sting smarts. Not enough to satisfy him or anyone watching, but enough to get your attention--Wake up.

"C'mon," he whispers, low enough that you realize the people watching the stream won't here. "Play with me, won't you? You used to be good at this."

You've been talking about Star Wars and Dragon Age recently and basically Anders shouldn't be allowed a lightsaber, but Justice should absolutely be given one.

I spent a bit too many brain cells on this and kinda got away from original prompt (sorry! >_<) but here's my crack idea for Anders and Justice in SW AU!

Anders is a runaway Sith Acolyte that crash-lands onto a marsh planet during his seventh escape attempt. He is unexpectedly rescued from his sith pursuers by a lone old man, who turns out to be one of the last surviving members of the Jedi Order, which was allegedly wiped out years ago.

Just as Anders thinks things are looking up, the creepy swamp man abruptly declares that he will take Anders as his padawan learner because "it is clearly the will of the Force."

Anders protests.

Jedi Master Justice insists.

“I sense much fear and anger in you,” the old man said disapprovingly. But then something in his hard stare softened for just a flicker, blue eyes searching. “But also a capacity for much compassion and fortitude as well,”

“Oh,” Anders could only say. “So... you're not going to kill me?”

The man finally disengaged his lightsaber with a flourish, clipping it back to his belt, much to Anders' immense relief. “No, but you must swear to abandon all your teachings of the Dark Side. Such evil has no place here,”

“Done!” Anders quickly agreed. “Never wanted to be a sith!” Really, all he wanted to do was escape to the nearest space port and disappear.

"Good," strange swamp man nodded, for the first time sounding pleased. "Then I accept you as my padawan learner,”

“Thanks-- wait what??”

“I had not thought I would take another padawan so late in life, but such is the will of the Force”

“What,”

“Your training begins tomorrow,”

“No! Wait! You can't just – I don't-- I just left the Sith! I don't want anything to do with the Force!”

But the crazed old man had already bent down and grabbed him rather securely by his collar like a limp tooka. There was unexpected strength beneath those gnarled, grizzled hands. "The Force led you here for a reason,"

No! An unguarded starfigher with a busted hyperspace calculator led me here! Anders wanted to scream but all his trashing was for naught and that was how Anders, former sith acolyte, was inducted into the Jedi Order by a senile marsh man.

And thus, this is why SW!Anders has a blue lightsaber yet can also shoot lightning. ⚡

(And yes after Master Justice dies heroically saving Anders and friends, Anders vows to avenge his fallen master, only for said master to continue advising/harassing him in Force Ghost form... ^_^;;)

(And yes the Chantry is basically the Empire in this version haha. Anders background is mostly unchanged in that he is taken as a child from his parents after showing Force Sensitivity but in this AU the Sith destroyed the Jedi so Anders is initially trained as a sith but later abandons the Dark Side to train as a Jedi. He's mostly successful and Justice helps encourage his compassion and fortitude, allowing him to access Force Healing, but there are times Anders still falls prey to his repressed anger and fury).

hi I had an amazing 10-ish days in and around Helsinki and met lots of very cool people and listened to lots of great music and ate so much good food and found an alcoholic drink that doesn’t make me want to fall asleep or throw up and didn’t constantly drown in my own sweat in July and walked around alone at 2am without feeling unsafe and instead felt so alive and never wanted it to end
