Do you mean this one? It's called Journey to the West: Legends of the Monkey King 西游记

So officially the first movie (the start of the series and considered the first 4 episodes in the Chinese run) came out in 1999-07-23 and this is widely known as the 1999 jttw or jttw99. The real run of the show started around 2000 but I will say that you will only get results for this Wukong calling him the 1999 version.

He is also a fav! One of the best, if not THE best, cartoon versions of Wukong. Not only for being one of the most accurate jttw retellings but also for keeping that charming, clever, mischievous, and incredibly powerful Wukong. He is the ultimate grandpa being kind to his monkeys and sympathizing with lower celestials but also being ruthless in his attacks.

His first appearance in the 1999 movie is slightly different with him having redder fur but this is the same monkey when he is greenlight for his own cartoon series.

You would wash his clothes and clean his little home, even running a bath for him, Wukong would start to blush and purr when you would rub his back and massage his muscles hard. You were getting more and more sexy especially in your short skirt trying so hard to control himself around. The final straw was when you baked him a peach cobbler. Later that night, Wukong would rock your whole world, as he promises to make you his wife.

(HIB Wukong) Ohhhh, you'll make him fall in love all over again, being more than capable of catering to him and your children. You would run bathes for him after very stressful days combined with giving him relaxing back massages, making him knock out and snore very hard. Wukong would also chow down on all your fish based recipes and lots of white rice. Wukong would love how you took the time to clean the house and washing his clothes, even ironing his shirts and pants. You would always do the dishes after him and the children, and just spoil him and the second he saw your birthing hips under that short apron it was over. Now he's gonna repay you by expanding your former little family.

(MKR Wukong) You're gonna make him a fat spoiled house cat, especially when you make him addicted to your cooking. Not to mention his possessive instincts would have him acting up more then it usually does. he also loves how you would wash his clothes as he sits in a warm bath you would run for him and spoil him with whatever he wants. Giving him hearty meals and extremely relaxing back muscles massages and finally tease him by wearing a short and sexy housewife dress and apron. Between your new cute outfit and the way you have been spoiling him, he can no longer control himself. You gave him so much of the husband treatment, and now he's ready to repay you with the wife treatment😉

(NR Wukong) Ohhhhh to have a sexy housewife like wifey, not to mention you wearing a short little sundress around him. You keeping his home clean and washing his clothes as well, not to mention how you would run warm baths for him with you joining of course. To be honest, he would be mostly confused and a tad bit suspicious however to be spoiled like the good husband and king he is he will not fight it. I feel he would hate bathes, however he does enjoy the warmth of the water he feels. Then the back massages would have him drooling and unconscious, and he would comply to anything in that state, and the food ohhhh the food. He would eat anything you give him which is why he's finally getting some meat on his boney arms. Over all he loves being spoiled by his new wife and will spoiled her during your private time in return.

(BMW Wukong) Hooo boy were that little housewife dress, see what he does to you. You would have him drooling in complete relaxation from the back massages, and using the body cream yesssssss baby🤤 You take care of him so well from making healthy and filling dinners and lunches, to cleaning his clothes and shining his armor. He would have to exercise excessively because he would gain so much weight from your cooking, and it helps to come home to a clean house too. You would be pushing all the right buttons as you spoil him rotten with his favorite desserts and snacks, he would also fall into a coma as you run warm water over him. Overall Wukong would love it especially when he shakes your world by knocking you up, the same way you knocked him out in during that back muscle massages.

(Destined one) The Destined one would blushing and appreciate everything you do for him, and feels lucky to have you as his wife. You would take care of him so tenderly and spoil him with his favorite snacks, and treats as you would clean the house and pour him tea. The Destined one trys to help with chores but you always tell him that he should just sit, and relax as you take on the house chores. He looooooovvvveeeesss how you run warm bathes and massage his back feeling like the luckiest monkey in the realms, and he gets to celebrate by mating you like there's no tomorrow.

(Lotmk Wukong) You are the perfect wife for him everything you do for him, tighten your grip on his heart. You wearing a scandalous apron infront of him as you making his meals, and washing his clothes after a few fights and scuffles sowing the rips and even iron it too. Your cooking is his favorite thing about you as you pack the most healthy lunches and make delicious dinners for him as you wash dishes. He things your apron is adorable as he blushes behind his paws from the appearance, of your thicc thighs in there high socks. Wukong would bite his lip trying to control his breeding instincts, but you standing there with that peach cobbler with wipe cream on your face. The poor innocent bean didn't stand a chance as he thrusted into your hips the second you bend over.

Wow. I had no faith in his character writing, and I’m STILL disappointed.

And it only took one episode! How impressive!

Macaque, who has put in ZERO on-screen effort to become a better person or make amends to his victims, is criticizing Wukong for being a bad mentor! And does Wukong criticize him back? NOPE!

After getting screamed at and berated, does Wukong defend himself? NOPE!

Ooh, but there was a second long reference in a dual yelling match that mentioned that Macaque was a genuinely bad person who took glee in hurting innocent people! Oh, fucking delightful! Ooh, Wukong even points out in one episode that Macaque goes without consequences!

Pointing out a flaw in your writing does not make it less of a flaw.

Macaque will always be allowed to do whatever he wants to anyone he wants- power theft, attempted murder, insults, deceit, assault-

And the narrative and characters will never hold him accountable or force Macaque to look inwards or become a better person.

Macaque will always fall upwards into redemption without any obstacles or pushback.

There will never be a struggle to goodness with a satisfying conclusion. There will never be a moment where falters in his newfound goodness and questions going back to his old ways. There will never be explicit remorse or regret. He will never have deep introspections on his crimes and atrocities that provide a reason for him to want to change.

The sum of his “arc” will always be “you were a good guy all along”, and that lack of depth is where it will stay.

RIP Seasons 1-3 Macaque. You were fun and interesting and cool and lovable.

But the man they replaced you with was destined to be a boring and brooding “anti-hero” who has no real connection to the actions you selfishly and violently performed with your own two hands-

And you will always be a less interesting character for it.

The execution of the actual arc boils down to a single heroic (but ultimately self-serving) moment and then Macaque is immediately forgiven for all the crimes he’s committed and is a magically better person without any effort and nothing he’s done is ever brought up again.

It severely weakens any character’s arc to cut them off from their past actions. If MK forgot his traumas every season instead of carrying them forward- we’d all agree that doing so was a case of poor writing.

It was the reason that people disliked Mei’s portrayal in Season Four- she immediately moved on from the Samadhi Fire arc and “no longer wielded it” after spending a whole season gathering and learning to use it.

Why can’t we agree that it’s bad for Macaque, too?

You can’t “develop” a character by dropping an entire plotline and writing it off with one line.

You can’t “redeem” a character by pretending that they were a good person right from the start.

Sorry, bud.

I really did like you. I just wish I could like your writing.

Hey I was thinking how would every wukong in different universe do on Valentine’s Day’s with the reader or Y/N it can be a couple thing or married couple

2 weeks till valentine's day 🥰

(Lmk Wukong) Ah Indoor movie dates their's nothing like them, Wukong and you would wear your most comfortable clothes and cuddle on the couch under a nice warm blanket. You both would get your favorite movies and bucket loads of snacks and just relax and enjoy each other's company after all you both have been married for 500+ years.

(HIB Wukong) It's date night and you both go out to a nice cutesy restaurant together. Can you believe that Wukong would get so nervous about going out with you, despite you both being married for centuries. It's exactly like that every year, but it's sooo adorable with his red nervous face and giving you your favorite flowers. It's like your both still dating and it would always warm your heart.

(MKR Wukong) Valentines Day ewww😒 was what he would always say and think, he would get nauseous at the lovey dovey couples around him. That was until he himself had found a nice monkey girl and when and got married himself, so uhhh that's karma but good karma. You both would cuddle quietly together under the night sky as you and the other couples would watch the shooting stars, Wukong didn't need to make wishes though he already got what he wished for.

(NR Wukong) You both would go out dancing every year on Valentine's Day, and what's different about it.... well, it's one of those slow dances for people who got married. Wukong would always find a way to touch you or make contact, I mean, he loves to be around you all the time. You both have though some crazy sh*t together over the years, and their are times where he's tired and for once had enough but then he remembers you. You unwavering support and endless love and next to Li and Su, one of the last good things in his life He'll genuinely never know what he would do without you. It's what makes him get back up and keep moving, after all he's got you to care very much for He can't leave you behind.

(Netflix Wukong) Hates to admit it, but Valentines Day is his day of reflection and remembrance, especially with you. Wukong had been alone for a Concerningly long time not being accepted by anyone, not even his own kind, Wukong tried his best to fit in somehow until he met Lin and a little bit later you. You have accepted Wukong right away with open arms and an open heart. You treated him so kindly and so gently that he thought you had to be a dream, but as the years go by. he finally realized after meeting, after dating, after marriage up until now, you weren't going anywhere and continued to love him despite his shortcomings and personality. Wukong made a vow to never stop loving you and never forget your unconditional love for him as well.

(BMW Wukong) Ohhhhhhhhh boi he can't keep his claws of you on valentine's day or any day of the year. He took you to see the fireworks, however he got a little to occupied with you, so you snuck to the very back and tongue wrestled to your hearts content. It's safe to say that Wukong was addicted and obsessed with you, and he would absolutely smother you in affection and love. He may be egotistical and mildly problematic, however their will never be a doubt about his sweet love for you.

(Destined one) A nice moment of silence between the two of you, being at home and enjoying some quiet time as well. The Destined one would take this time to observed you thinking about how far you two have come from your hardships and dark days. You both have support for each other as you both would cuddle, purr, and even kiss, you both laying on the bed listening to each others heartbeats and softly breathing. With an occasional kiss on his cheek the Destined one was finally at peace with just you, and only you.

(Lotmk Wukong) With you both privacy is everything it's where you both a free to explore each other and bond as a married couple. It is genuinely surprising to me that, as far as I can remember, no one has actually called mk “prince” or any form of it in the series yet? Like. Like it would be a perfect way for a villain to taunt him right?? Or if another random demon just mistook that to be his title or something

I wanted to talk about this because it's been on my mind since I finished season 4

The way peaches represent Sun Wukong and Macaque's relationship. When they're happy in Flower Fruit Mountain, just the two of them — no brotherhood, no Jade Emperor (along with the entirety of Heaven), no journey to the West —, Sun Wukong gives Macaque a peach.

It doesn't look like much. SWK eats peaches all the time and his mountain is filled with them (seriously, is that all he eats? He really, really really loves peaches, man. How does he not get tired of them? I'd get grossed out after the first few months), of course he'd give one to his best friend! His most loyal subject!

In this scene, they're comfortable with each other. SWK talks about how what he wants is to live a lazy life with him and his monkeys, just chilling and eating peaches and basking in the sun? I can't remember exactly what he said but the point is, that he wants things to stay like that forever. Just the two of them (along with a thousand monkeys), living happily in a mountain with SWK being strong enough to protect all of them

SWK gives Macaque a peach. Macaque accepts it; the peach is fine. They're good.

The next time we see one of them give the other a peach is during another flashback, the one where SWK and Macaque are talking while Sun Wukong is sealed under the mountain (the position he was in looked so uncomfortable? He wasn't laying on his belly with the mountain on his back, he looked like he was trying to run away before he got caught with the mountain on his back), and they are definitely not good then

Macaque offers Sun Wukong a peach (read; Macaque offers Sun Wukong a peach, when Wukong was the one to offer one to Macaque before. The sun gives the moon its light, but the moon can't offer anything to it in return) and Sun Wukong acts passive aggressive with him, leaving it clear that no, Mac, he doesn't want that fucking peach (well, maybe he does, but we'll get to that later)

They're both in the right here, but they're also both in the wrong. Macaque is right for being angry at Sun Wukong. If he hadn't followed Azure's plan (he [Azure] was so fucking grooming that monkey, what the fuck. Not sexual btw), the brotherhood would've been fine, and Sun Wukong wouldn't be trapped under the mountain. However, Sun Wukong is also allowed to be angry at Macaque; from his POV, Macaque ran away from the fight when he realized they were losing. Macaque pretty much abandoned him first. I'd be angry too, honestly

Macaque is wrong for telling Sun Wukong that he's the one that got himself in that mess when really, that was partly Azure's fault. Weren't it for him Sun Wukong apparently wouldn't have cared about Heaven, since unlike what happens in JTTW (haven't read it yet, pls tell me if I'm wrong!), all he wanted was to live a comfortable life and train his troops (Azure was the one who saw him first; he found this... child? And thought that yeah, he can use this. He put him in a pedestal and showered him in compliments he didn't deserve nor want. He manipulated him to get what he wanted; not a king, but a weapon)

Sun Wukong is in the wrong for treating Macaque like shit here too, since he literally warned him and again, he wasn't at fault. Neither of them were!

Back to the point — in this scene, when Sun Wukong rejects the peach, Macaque crushes it with his hand. Later, after Macaque leaves, Sun Wukong expresses how he actually really wanted that peach. Or, in other words, Macaque tries to offer Sun Wukong his support, his friendship, and when Sun Wukong rejects it, he gives up and destroys any way of getting back together; later, it is revealed that Sun Wukong didn't genuinely want to be left alone, and that he did still wish to be friends, in a way

This, we can say is the point where their relationship was broken. The peach is left on the floor, abandoned, and Sun Wukong with it. As far as we know, Macaque didn't come back after, and even if he did it's pretty obvious that wouldn't have gone very well

(Also, just to add, and you can skip this part if you want! When Macaque is looking at the memory, he looks kinda confused? Like he doesn't remember it happening that way. Maybe that's one of the LBD messed with when she brought him back, if she even was touching them. I'm not sure if that's canon, I forgot. Please tell me if you know?)

The next and last time one of them offers the other a peach it's, again, Sun Wukong to Macaque (it's almost like that's the way it's meant to be. Huh. Sun and moon indeed haha!)

They're in a beach again! Yay! Sun Wukong's (and possibly Macaque's later, if he gets a proper redemption arc) friends and family (MK and the gang, and also the DBK fam) are there too. Sun Wukong is watching them in the sun (lol) when Macaque goes and joins him. He doesn't even go there to annoy him and as far as we know he didn't even get an invite, so he really just went to the event to chill with SWK. During this whole scene, we can see that Macaque isn't interested in starting a fight (fucking finally, man), even if Sun Wukong does act kinda aggressive at first. Which, y'know. Fair

They're in a beach again. Presumably not the same one, but still a beach. They're back to the beginning, but not really, because they're both different people. They've changed, and their relationship(s) with them

This time, it's not an actual peach being offered. It's a peach popsicle. I don't know how to spell that. Sun Wukong offers it to Macaque, and Macaque looks surprised but eventually accepts it. He appears to be happy with this

This I believe represents how they're both willing to begin a new relationship (platonic, romantic or something else, see it as you want). A new relationship; a changed one

Sun Wukong doesn't give Macaque an actual peach, he gives him a peach popsicle. He's offering his friendship, an offering Macaque accepts, but it's not the same it was before, and it never will be. They know they'll never be the way they were in the past, and they accept it. Sun Wukong offers Macaque his friendship, telling him that it won't be the same, but that if they want to heal then they've got to accept that — and Macaque takes it. It's not the same, there are mistakes that can never be fixed and actions that can't be undone, but they're willing to start anew

It'll be different, but it could be even better if they try (if they fucking COMMUNICATE for once)

And the popsicle will eventually melt. They'll eventually fight again; they'll fall apart, and maybe get so angry at each other they'll refuse to talk to each other for a while (y'know how stubborn they can be), but (usually depending on where you live) popsicles can be surprisingly cheap!

If the popsicle melts, if they struggle, they'll just buy another one, they'll just keep trying

Now all we need is a scene where Sun Wukong (or Macaque, to show them as equals if not in power then in... y'know, their relationship? I'm not sure what the word would be) gives Macaque an actual peach to show how they're them again. Not the same, never the same, but still them
