I cannot get over this absolute banger of a front cover.

First we have Odasaku front and center, and then there's Dazai - split between side A and side B - right above him. There's a clear, jarring difference with Beast!Dazai's dead eyes, bruised skin, while almost drowning in bandages, compared to Main!Dazai's mischievous grin.

Their worlds are such vast contrasts to each other, and yet Odasaku remains unchaging in both, especially in appearance. Same old striped-shirt, beige-coat wearing Oda.

And then there's the cards. Someone made a really good tweet about the meaning of every card (here's the link) but basically, Beast!Dazai has cards that symbolise commitment and death - which greatly connects with the fact his main goal in the Beast world is making Odasaku stay alive, a plan that probably started way before he was fifteen - while Main!Dazai has cards that express genuine self, freedom, acceptance, and personal growth. Development that we see in the main story, nearly growing alongside him sometimes.

Now if that isn't a knife to the gut, I don't know what is.

Oh wait. I do.

The future of the Beast world. The frames that have Dazai and Oda's confrontation, where everything came crashing down until the jaw-dropping finale in Beast. I absolutely hate how I'm still not mentally, emotionally, of even physically recovered from this scene.

How can I when Oda described Dazai as a child about to cry 😭

Anyways, my parting words is that I wanna imagine the burnt page in Oda's hand signifies that because of Beast!Dazai's intervention, he "burnt a page" about the good relationship they could have had. For him to survive, Dazai made himself be the enemy in the Beast world and made something of a good world that still feels emptier than the original one.

Guys… what if the reason Lady Dimitrescu’s dragon form is the way it is because she’s subconsciously suppressing it? What if in her eyes turning fully into a dragon makes her a complete monster? Because how unsightly would it be to abandon all of her humanity to become a creature, a thing?

Potato Tweet: Barbie has already been robbed during the nominations. Now it’s been robbed even more.

I assume it’s common knowledge by now that Oscars are not about art, at least not in the first place. So when I look at the politics of the awarded, I worry. Oppenheimer is good, no questions asked. What I worry about is the politics of not giving an Oscar to Killers of the Flower Moon at all. Through that the Academy kind of admits that it doesn’t care about Native Americans and their story. They care about Mariupol, but doesn't one dare talk about Gaza. They care about gazing at women much less than about taking a quick, light-hearted look at their psyche. That’s sad and irritating.

What increases my discontent is the amount of statuettes Poor Things has left the ceremony with. And I’m not gonna moralize about the sexuality of a child, I’m not a Victorian lady… I’m rather wondering about all the similarities between Yorgos Lanthimos’ film and Greta Gerwing’s film. Both staring a well known woman, who’s also a co-producer of the respective piece. The protagonist of each film is what seems to be a grown ass lady, who differs from the common understanding of “normal” and “suited for a society” in one way or other. Both Barbie and Poor Things are visually stunning.

The categories in which both films were nominated are:

supporting actor (where it was kind of obvious it’s gonna be Robert Downey Jr., but I was holding onto the glimmer of hope it’s gonna be Ryan Gosling, so that the Academy can say “Hey, we awarded this pink movie something! Sure, it’s for the male supporting role in a very feminine movie, but we awarded it something!)

The only two categories in which Barbie was nominated and Poor Things wasn’t, are:

Which scores it the total of 8 nominations in 7 categories.

Meanwhile Poor Things scored 11 nominations all together. It was nominated, except for the already mentioned, for:

For some perspectve: Oppenheimer got nominated in 13 categories.

What I'm trying to say here, is that it was understandable for me that Barbie got robbed cuz it's too entertaining, too pink, too commercial for the Academy. It wasn't the greatest production of the year. But it was an event! And just because of that it's already earned a very special place in the cultural history of the western world. I'd be interested to know how much of the commercial success of Oppenheimer was carried by Barbie and the other way around. The double-feature-premiere was a worldwide event of a scale of its own. Meanwhile Poor Things showed up rather late to the party. It's not a multiplex film. It's a Mubi film. It's artsy. It's different. It's also a story about women's sexuality written and directed by a dude, based on a novel by a dude. And the Academy likes it more than a story by women for women about what it's like to be a women, which also allows it to prove how much they care about Art. AKA how pretentious they are. That's my beef.

I want to state this now before it leaves my brain, just a small penny of thought. After pages are uploaded and the Author not using a script. He will IMMEDITALTY try to cover up the holes and fix it the next pages or so. Then messes up continuity along those lines.

Yes, cause that's better to wait it out then do anything at all. Ranach and Avanti can sneak in the territory during the night and wait to slaughter EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THEM. The territory of meteor is vast with minimum eyes, they can't keep watch for 24/7 simultaneously. Like for one, When the Avanti beast came into Home and everyone questioned why he didn't just kill the meteor tribe?? Kiq. made pages to answer the question to the audience, literally Him telling the audience why something is not logically going or going against what doesn't make sense - ya feel me??

I would think knowing a family member dying, would pushed you to make sure your other family member is over their safe, you literally stated it to Rhovanion of them being an oppressive tribe and dangerous group. When Everyone questioned Why Roamer didn't go help Ronja and save her from a inbreeding, oppressing, Sexual assaulting, tribe instead of going swimming and hanging out in midnight guard. Kique had to make an excuse for it.

CH. 13 PG 807 & 809 - Yes, let us give more justification for the tribe to easily state the capitol ' meteor is killing members left and right again' to have the matriarch to annihilate them on the spot. Good idea guys. Have majority of the Tribes' who hates meteor with tangible proof and track record to put more endangerment over Ronja's pups. I might as well left the group after that with Javo, Galti and Alva.

Another is when Roamer murdered bear dog and when people got hurt about that he tried to justify it and praise the Garystu characters. more so having Ronja not do anything cause Roamer literally been disobedient the moment he got separated from the pack and followed two strangers the beginning of Home. Also stopped people from commenting cause he didn't like people pointing it out. He did it before of killing dogs or shunning hem to Justify they are BAD , they are the VILLAINS when they're anything but that. Jonna. Kargo before his death. Fairikh. Ruan. Aira etc. Let me remind you that kique doesn't have a script, and when he does it's by volunteers before he burns the bridges with them and then back to square one again. He has a Patreon that the pages are ahead of the public, so he can produce pages to cover tracks before they present to the public. He already probably doing one now or has not made the pages to Justify the ' Golden ' Lioness to give a starting couple a child without consent. It's already bad when you have to prove what's morally wrong to be right or worse to romanticized it. What's sad the hybrid cubs will be brushed off.

Ronja's kids have been on the way-side and we have only have scenes when Roamer needs comfort involving when Rogio is NOT there or Ronja is involved to do parenting. If this is supposed to be just a slice of life type of comic, I would like to see something that pertains it and not dragged stupidity, and teenage drama on fully grown adults. Diarko now in the mix will be forgotten, cause his purpose was to save Rogio and Kargo. Now to be a child to 3 dogs that are NOT FIT TO BE PARENTS, NOR METEOR and he already has a mother. The author probably already has a page to Have his mother who has a high distrust of dogs and practically everyone else, leaving their only cub to a bunch of strangers. I don't need to look at the blur page of patreon to know he already has one, the repetitive pattern of evidence is on the Public pages on it's own will suffice. She's literally going to a decent tribe in the beaches so why not bring her son with him??!! where she knows they're Safe?? like that's not how mothers and maternity instincts work. The only reason Diarko stays is because the author wants his toxic, soon to be Poly to have a kid around and have them look good, a means to look like saints. It's very obvious its going to be poly, there is too many signs to show it and Rogio is that much of a possessive, manipulative prick to have Roamer and Kargo under his paws.

Trust me y'all there's a lot more of these of Ronja seeking Rogio for mostly everything. I guess Vandi, Kargo and Ferah don't hold much weight. He's literally a Garystu with plot amour. How does everyone not know anything but Rogio does? I rather trust Vandi and Vigr over Rogio - heck take Shiverfall Eopi.Could easily take the trip their and bring Diarko along so he can visit his mother and not be forgotten.

Shiverfall tribe is BIGGER then meteor, meteor literally did Nothing - NOTHING to show it's a safe place to be. Ronja, Roamer, Rogio, Kargo should know that, The mother is Blind - BLIND!! FOR PETE'S SAKE and it makes me so damn upset that she can't see it and the tribe is not going to tell her and put her only son in danger with a falling tribe. Because everyone is going to be happy and ' d'awww' of Diarko staying with the OTP3.

Akleja already is also forgotten and just in the background in silence without knowing much of who they are as an individual, except they are Vandi's X Fuss's pup and were the first pup to be born free which should be a VERY BIG THING. You need more then just putting traits in Wiki cause a lot of the traits don't correlate to the Webcomic. He probably already doing and did pages to not make Feaf look bad and answer why Zahira and Raimos didn't have the kids. ----- He has done it countless times and has edited pages to Justify them under people's noses and they don't bat an eye of it.

A while ago I was asked by my friend the classic trolley problem, where the track is heading towards four people but you can pull a lever next to the tracks so the trolley doesn't hit the four people, but instead hits only one person. However, my friend switched out the four people with four lobsters and the one man with a cat. Now obviously many people would choose the cat, and I indeed thought about it much. And when I gave my friend the answer that I don't know, and I chose to pass, he was shocked that I didn't choose the cat. But I had many questions circling in my head, like why am I expected to choose the cat? It's not that I hate cats, I love cats very much, but why is the cat's life worth four times more than one lobster's? Just because we keep them as pets doesn't mean that they are worth more, or are you saying that humans can determine which life matters more by choosing them as our pets? I disagree that humans or anything at all can decide which life matters more than another's. And yes you can use the argument that I thought about, that we eat lobsters, so it's okay. But again, the only reason we don't eat cats is because we keep them as pets, and that is no way to measure why its life matters more. In countries such as China and South Korea people eat cats, and I still don't see why because we eat one thing over another, its life matters less. I can argue that one lobster matters more than one house at, because lobsters actually do something for their ecosystem while housecats are known for making whole species of birds go extinct. But I won't make that argument, because my friend never specified if it was a housecat or a wild one like a serval or lynx. Now you might be reading this and asking why I didn't choose to run over the cat, because it sounds like I hate cats, and that's because I absolutely love cats, and to have the knowledge that I killed one on my conscience would eat me. Now if the one random cat was switched with one of my cats I own at home, it would be a completely different story.

How many ends will there be in the Coffin of Andy and Leyley

Well, after playing all 5 of Nemlei's previous games, I will say that they are a huge fan of multiple endings. And as Nemlei said in a FAQ in one of the dev logs: "Q: How many episodes are there going to be? A: Four. Two of them are Episode 3 for the two routes: Burial and Decay. But each route will have multiple endings."

So far, we actually have gotten 2 endings: Warden Catches You and Hitman Kills You. (Yes, these are real endings. After playing the previous games Nemlei made, I recognize this.)

But, how many more will there be? Well, we have at least one more ending that have been shown in the devlog:

What this ending is called is a mystery for now. It could be from police officers killing them (would be very similar to the song "Partners in Crime" by Set It Off) or from a gang fight of some kind. We really have no idea.

But, what about the other endings? Well, Decay has shown us 2 possible outcomes: Andrew Kills Ashley or Ashley Kills Andrew. (But maybe the point of Episode 3: Decay is to avoid those endings. Who knows.) So, we have 3 more endings. 2 in Decay and 1 in ?????

But what about Burial? Well, that's obviously a mystery. But, looking at Nemlei's past game Jack in a Castle, the endings come out to having 10 endings. So, will tCoAaL have 10 endings? Personally, I'm going to say probably. 2 already exist pretty early on so, having 8 endings more makes some sort of sense if you think about how each sub routes (Bullets, Cleaver, Questionable Love, and Sane Friendship) might each have 2 endings.

The travelers in Octopath Traveler are fascinating for many reasons. The reason that has me awake well into the night right now is the differences between characters of the same class and how different game mechanics tell you a lot about their respective personalities. Keep in mind while reading that it has been many months since I beat octopath 2 and I’m only halfway through octopath 1.

This is most easy to see with two of the classes that seem to change the least, Hunters and Warriors. Both keep the same magic element, or lack there of in the warrior’s case, both keep most of the same utility moves, both still heavily favor martial abilities. However both use their weapons very differently.

Let’s start with the warriors. Olberic and Hikari both favor their swords in cutscenes, you could say it’s their signature weapon, and use their spears as a backup in combat. It’s interesting to note this is opposite how these were used in history. Where they differ is how they use those weapons. Hikari uses his sword for quick strikes and complex maneuvers while using his spear for powerful thrusts. Olberic uses his sword for strong sweeps and cleaves while keeping his spear for fast and random jabs. Hikari’s main sword skill works mechanically very similarly to Olberic’s main spear skill.

This reflects their relative personalities well. Hikari tackles his problems through quick and clever action while Olberic is more straightforward and blunt in his approach. To borrow some trope terms Olberic is more like the team Big Guy while Hikari feels more like a Lancer. Both of these men would say you can learn much about someone by how they wield a blade, and they’re definitely right.

Then we come to the hunters H’aanit and Ochette. First let’s highlight their similarities: they both use the exact same elemental attack, Thunderbird, and no other magic, both favor their bow over their axe, they have some of the same utility abilities, and both fight side by side with captured monsters. And that’s where the similarities end, but even their similarities already show differences. H’aanit only has skills tied to her bow while Ochette at least has one ability for her axe. And then there’s their capture abilities which change so much between the games it’s honestly hard to think of them as the same thing, They have completely different feels and trying to describe that would take a few paragraphs on its own so I’ll stick with their bow skills for now.

At first glance they seem to have the opposite skills than you’d expect. The impulsive and energetic Ochette carefully picks her targets with Precision Shots, while the Stoic H’aanit makes wild volleys. But dig deeper and this makes perfect sense. First these styles fit the ones who taught them very well, both were taught by a master with the opposite personality as themselves. However there is also the fact that H’aanit’s speed shooting style of archery, one that sacrifices accuracy and damage for stager potential, requires far more experience and skill to effectively pull off. It makes sense then that the barely teenage Ochette wouldn’t go for it.

There’s honestly so much more to unpack with this. Some classes completely change which element they use, some use more magic skills while some use more weapon skills and others still use more utility skills. Some change their unique mechanics at a fundamental level, and have access to different passive abilities. And all this isn’t even touching on how the Octopath 2 cast simply has more mechanics to work with.

In conclusion I am a giant nerd who enjoys coming up with story and character driven reasons for changes likely made to enhance gameplay experience. But more importantly mechanics are an important tool for characterization and we should pay attention to them. In any case I have so much more thoughts about this and hopefully now so do you!

NOTE: I have so much to say about the Poetry Gala Event because I enjoyed it so much. It's going to be lengthy but feel free to read me rambling haha.

I don't mean to be dramatic but... Chongyun enthusiasts, WE WON! I'm so happy that he was able to show up so much in this event! Like he actually got lines and so much screentime!! I know he always appears in Lantern Rite, but this just hits different. Did you see how fast he was talking and the way he did his little jump after having those chili peppers? XD Also the way he was giving Xingqiu some sass at the at the end of the story? Show him, Chongyun!

And I never thought I would be able to see two of my favorite characters in the same frame! This is going to keep me fed until the next Lantern Rite haha.

On a similar note, this event was just as good as last year's goofy Lantern Rite! I will never stop talking about how much I love it when characters from different nations are able to meet each other, like the whole Xingqiu/Mika/Noelle interaction was really sweet! (But the way Xingqiu told them to just not get caught when sneaking away from home XD He's such a bad influence haha)

AND THIS. The way Zhongli and Venti were looking at the children, it really solidifies the fact they they're retired. Don't mind me crying over here 🥺

I didn't expect the event to dive a bit into Diona's lore, so that was really cool!! Also really glad that learning about Oceanids and their power kind of helped Chongyun come to terms with his yang energy. (I shall now wait patiently for some lore drop on Chongyun.)

The whole story was just so nice. And the MUSIC for Callirhoe's story was the final cherry on top 👌
