The first one is all HSTs and the second is what I made out of the too many HSTs and squares I cut for HSTs. First is the Twinkle by Rachelle Denneny (can find it on Etsy) and the second is a variation on Irish Chain and it just four patches and HSTs (if you want a written pattern, try Jacob's Ladder Scrap Value Quilt Pattern on Etsy).

Okay, world of quilters / people who like patchwork.

Suggest a quilt pattern to me. Within certain permutations.

My very favorite is the Lemon Star, which is the Lemoyne Star except you cheat by using half square triangles instead of diamonds. But I've done that on a quilt for my sibling AND the wallhanging I'm working on now, so not that one.

I have only the feeblest of applique skills, so not likely to go for major applique. Not interested in wholecloth quilts.

Traditional American patchwork piecing is what floats my quilting interest boat. I haven't done curved work yet. I'm willing to try it as long as it's not TOO complicated. I don't care for the modern stuff where they just sew a bunch of rectangles together. Boring. And anything enthusiastically described as "scrappy!" probably not going to work for me. (I mean. I might use scraps. But not stuff specifically designed to just vomit scraps onto it.) I love designs using half square triangles.

Depression has been kicking me in the butt lately so I decided to make a little pill bug friend for myself using this pattern by @livvi3love. I changed a couple details to fit my own preferences (like sewing the legs rather than using felt) and I'm very happy with the result! I've been wanting an isopod plushie for a while so it was fun to make my own :>

updated Sleight ref!!

#i changed his colors !!#treat this as a suggestion than a solid ref. i spent like 3 hours drawing and redrawing the legs bc i couldnt get the shape right so if u #wanna draw them more planti or digi i do not mind ^_^ get silly with it!! same goes for pelt pattern do whatevr u want with it #the pelt pattern is loosely based on a snowshoe cat which was fun to play with. as u can see they kinda have a butterfly motif going on #if u squint the ear tufts kinda resemble luna moths or swallowtails with the long tail at the end of the wings #i was kinda torn about changing the costume color but it clashed too much with the new color palette so i had to change it #i didnt include the cape here so its easier to see the costume but ill draw it another time if i remember lol #its also a lil hard to see but i put pinstripes on their pants but thats optional. their design is pretty flexible anyway #god im pretty attached to this guy already. hes like semi fan character semi regular character... oc... thing #i should draw more furries. i followed some furry artists for giggles recently and its true what they say. u need furries in your life #btw while i was drawing this i was fooling around while trying to figure out his costume color and colored it as kaito kids suit for fun #and i just stared at it for a solid 5 minutes before saving a picture. maybe ill post it later #my art #myart #my oc #oc #furry art #fur #furry #laika's comet #laika's comet oc #fan character #sleight #ref sheet #oc ref sheet

as for the update schedule, it's technically not set but i do upload every like. 9 to 12 days. i'm pretty consistent w it too so i guess that's the schedule hahah

#took someone's suggestion to use a pattern because honestly i started trying to replicate the patterns on zhongli's in-game clothes #and then gave up LMAO #pretend it's more dragon-like #i know chongyun's looks ultra bland next to the others but it's hard to make details on white #when he moves the top layer shines like fresh snow #xiao and hu tao sit on like opposite sides of a dilemma #it feels so strange not to color-code xiao but like. it's still somewhat of a uniform. so uh #he does get that little teal accent on the sash #all qingce chen disciples have their little accent band #but they do have to wear the clan's colors i'm afraid so #hu tao on the other hand #i know a wangsheng ceremonial robe should be more white than black #bc yknow mourning and funerals n stuff #but like i know mihoyo gave the parlor staff a darker color scheme to fit more with the west's standards of death-related clothes #and hu tao does look super good in black so #we're going with that lmao #anyway #thank you all ily <3 <3 <3
