So some of you may or may not have heard that Americans have decided in a show of pettiness and solidarity, to move directly to a Chinese social media app called Rednote (which is like TikTok) as a sort of "fuck you" to meta and the US government.

The Chinese people are not only hilarious and welcoming but they are very perceptive.

Someone asked the Chinese opinion on what's wrong with Murica from their perspective and they and other non Americans dragged our asses for absolute FILTH 💀

He does! He brags about Timmy's success to every person within the neighborhood's vicinity. Mr. Turner loves how successful his son is! It really secures his reputation at the neighborhood HOA meetings they host at their house.

Timmy's worked very hard to gain more successes than failures. The more successful he is, the greater his family's social standing!! And the less he gets to overhear his dad ranting to the neighborhood about his failures.

Masks and Moonlit Night

-Crashes through DPxDC window and sticks a new AU sticky note down on everyones foreheads-

ANGER MANAGEMENT MASQUERADE BALL AU!

Jazz is forced by her parents to go to all Masquerade ball at Vlad's, whose using Jazz as both a way to keep Danny in line (as well as Jazz, basically Danny can't fight back or he'll hurt Jazz and Jazz can't fight back because he'll also hurt Danny who he has locked up at the moment) and to 'impress' the elites (As much as Vlad wants to use Danny for the party he knows the boy would do something to embarrass him in front of them, he at least knows Jazz will keep her manners in check) with how intelligent his goddaughter is.

During the ball, Jazz (in a stunning dress and mask, think like manhwa worthy outfit tbh if you want) meets Jason (who lost the Bats/Birds most recent 'Not it' game and was made to go with Tim to Vlad's party) and both hit it off when they meet in the garden, under moonlight, both wanting some fresh air.

Jazz wants to enjoy her time with Jason but worries about Danny and thus tries to leave and figure a way to help him without tipping Vlad off she was trying to save her brother. However she notices she's being watched by some ghosts Vlad employed and no doubt would report her should she even try. So she kinda uses Jason as way to keep them being unaware of her planning... or at least that was the case until she noticed another Team Phantom member sneaking into Vlad's place and knows its only a matter of time before her brother is freed.

Within the hour she gets a text from Danny who tells her, he's out and gonna fight Vlad for locking him up, that Dani is with him too so it'll be double beat down and that he'll come get her soon.

She is pulled away from the text when Jason asks what books she likes to read and now with the weight of her brother needing to be safe, or as safe as he could be, is lifted off her shoulder she answers.

Its magical, its wonderful, and for a moment Jazz is able to actually enjoy this party, ignoring the pained hits Vlad was no doubt receiving from what she can hear with her liminal enchanced hearing, because talking to Jason, or J as he introduced himself as, was very fun and wonderful and wow he was very handsome even with his mask and-

Jazz is startled out of her wondering thoughts when she could hear someone in the party scream, no doubt Danny, Dani, and Vlad's fight probably bleed into the main hall and she could see people starting to run out.

Jazz sits on the bench as Jason goes running in, no doubt curious as to what is happening and going to get his 'brother' Tim who he came to the party with out. Jazz takes off her mask and sits it down the bench and waits before Dani appears and says they should get going, Danny is keeping an angry Vlad busy and that she can take Jazz home.

By the time Jason comes back, with a researching on his phone Tim, all he finds of the charming woman he met at the dumb ball he got dragged to was her mask on the bench.

i know murder of sonic isnt really meant to be taken seriously or treated as canon but i do think its funny that shadow only went to sonics birthday party in generations because rouge made him but seemingly willingly went to amys birthday party in murder of sonic and even got her a gift and everything

i don’t think people understand just how broadly harmful puritanical thinking is. every group i’ve ever been involved with that has been anti-kink and anti-fiction has also flat out rejected harm reduction education - including harm reduction for legal substances, like recognizing the signs of alcohol poisoning.

this kind of moralizing, self-aggrandizing mentality doesn’t help anyone. you are not the kind, compassionate person you want other people to think you are.

i DO make a token effort to go to social events with people from school, because You Never Know and also it's easy enough to just leave whenever. my school has a tradition of arranging a big christmas dinner at a restaurant every year for all the students and teachers, so of course i went the first time. unfortunately my memories from that event are thus:

- i thought the cold apetizers buffet was the main meal. i had no concept of traditional swedish christmas food and it was in a separate room, far away from the warm rood buffet. it was very sad and disappointing. i had the warm food eventually, but i don't even remember what i ate. It Was Probably Just Fine

- teacher made us sing swedish drinking songs and i didn't even know how the melodies were supposed to go :(

- it was incredibly noisy and near impossible to speak to the people sitting right next to me, let alone across the narrow table. i was trying to chat with a girl in the year above me who i quite liked, except she was trying to tell me that NFTs as a concept were good actually, and it was too loud for me to do anything but shake my head at her in shock and panicked dissent...............

sooooooooo i decided it simply wasn't worth the effort. if it sucks hit da bricks. and if anyone asks me if i'm SURE i'm not coming i'm like sorrry nooo i have to catch a train, tragic i know,

new york city is a shit show right now and not because of the students peacefully protesting. i’m so sick of fucking cops. research the history of the police force in america. tear-gassing students and snipers on rooftops. we all know this will escalate. it’s just when. it’s ironic, when you grow up with school shootings and no gun laws you become pretty desensitized. if the government thinks a shooting will scare people then they’re just plain stupid. ivy league students being shot at on the grounds of campus. all i can think about is the kent state massacre. everyone attending protests please be safe and mask up!!! those not attending, if you can, drop off food and water to protestors fighting for our rights. you don’t need to be palestinian to care about the genocide in gaza, you just need to be human. they don’t just want to ban tiktok because of the mass spread of unregulated information. they want to ban tiktok because of the mass spread of empathy. billions of videos depicting the human experience. i have cried so many tears and laughed until my stomach hurt all for strangers i’ll never meet. when we care about each other more than we care about the dollars in our pockets it scares them. it scares them because they feed and live off of human suffering and exploitation. they’ve manipulated our minds so much we believe we are dependent on them when really they are dependent on us. they’ve divided us so much we’ve forgotten what it’s like to love each other. they’ve allowed so much violence and so much hatred that it’s become all we know. but a heart full of empathy and love will always want to share that love. that’s what they fear. capitalism is just a circle jerk of who has the deepest pockets and billionaires can’t exist without the exploitation of the working class. calculate how many hours you’d need to work earning minimum wage in order to be a billionaire. look up the recent layoffs of thousands of hiring recruiters across the country. research the nationwide implementation of AI that accepts your résumé based on buzzwords and not actual experience. did i mention homelessness is illegal and i’m pretty sure social security is like gone now? How many hours would it take to be billionaire?
