I suffer from nightmares that are so close closely resemble reality that I no longer differentiate between reality and dream.

I was shocked that I was not from the third world! Indeed, we are the most humane and moral! Yes, because the world approves, supports, and finances the the genocide we are being subjected to, legislates it, and gives reasons for for 58 days! While we are a people who have been living on occupied land for 75 years and are still searching for our rights and communicating our voice to the world!

My message to the world: You are not innocent of what is happening to us, you are governments or peoples that support Israel's annihilation of my people. We will not forgive you, we will not forgive you, humanity will not forgive you, we will not forget, even if we die, the history will never forget.

A message to my friends: Thank you and the supporters around the world. You have been compassionate and very strong. We ask you not to lose hope, even if the world seems completely unfair and your efforts have not yet resulted in a ceasefire."

📹 Palestinian journalist Muhammad Quraiqea tells the story of how he searched for and found his sick mother who was killed while sleeping in the Maternity Ward during the Israeli occupation's raid of Al-Shifa Medical Complex, in the Al-Rimal neighborhood of Gaza City recently.

According to countless reports, hundreds of civilians were murdered during the Zionist raid of Al-Shifa, including women and children, some who were found handcuffed and summarily executed under suspicion of belonging to Resistance groups, while others were murdered even without such suspicions.

U.N. Photo Collection Shows Gaza War Through the Lens of Palestinian Journalists - April 19, 2024

The Gaza Collective Photo Essay project, organized by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), collected work from 14 Palestinian photographers who were each asked to share one image that captured the devastation of the Gaza Strip over the last six months. We speak with Charlotte Cans, head of photography at OCHA, about the project. "It's one thing to say there's a war and it's horrible, and it's another thing to see an image of a child being pulled out from the rubble. It really hits you differently," Cans says of the motivation behind the project. "It was really important to elevate the stories coming from Palestinian photojournalists, who are the only window into what is going on in Gaza." - @democracynow

The first Palestinian athlete to participate in the Olympic games died on Wednesday at the Nuseirat refugee camp in Gaza as a result of kidney failure due to power outages and medical shortages as a result of the ongoing Israeli war and siege of the enclave.

Majed Abu Maraheel, who passed away at the age of 61, became the first athlete to be the flag bearer and represent Palestinians at the Olympic Games in Atlanta in 1996. Being a distance runner, he competed in the 10km race.

Since his breakthrough on the world stage, more than 20 Palestinian men and women have been able to compete at Olympic competitions.

"He was a Palestinian icon, and he will remain as such," his brother told Paltoday TV after the funeral.

"We tried to evacuate him to Egypt but then the Rafah crossing was closed (by Israel), and his condition kept deteriorating."

In his preparation for the Olympics, Abu Maraheel would often be seen on his daily runs from his home in Gaza to the Erez Crossing with Israel, which Israel closed in October after imposing a full blockade on the Strip.

Last month, it was reopened for the first time since then.

He would often have to pass through that crossing for his job as a day labourer in Israel. After participating in the Olympics, Abu Maraheel went on to become a coach for other Palestinian runners hoping to replicate his presence at the international competition.

Abu Maraheel's death highlights the grim fate of many Palestinians who are facing kidney failure in Gaza.

A report from the Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor in March found that there were between 1,000 to 1,500 patients in Gaza with kidney failure, and that they are facing a "slow death" because of "a lack of medical and therapeutic services, medications and other necessities".

Israel denies blocking humanitarian aid into Gaza, though aid agencies say they are not able to get aid in because of Israeli restrictions.

Heartbreaking news out of north Gaza today

We write to inform you that renowned journalist Ismail Al-Ghoul and cameraman Ramy El-Rifi of Al-Jazeera were murdered just a few hours ago by the occupation. They were going out to document the scene of another bombing attack, when they were deliberately targeted by the occupation. Footage provided by journalist Osama Al-Ashi in the immediate aftermath of the attack shows that Ismail and Ramy were murdered with targeted precision weaponry, meaning the occupation watched them, waited for them, and executed them in cold blood (warning: graphic footage).

Ismail and Ramy have been documenting the genocide at immense personal cost since the 7th of October 2023. They were previously kidnapped and tortured by the occupation, but survived and continued to remain in north Gaza and document crimes against humanity. They have had many narrow escapes, and today, the occupation was finally successful in its illegal goal of assassinating these prominent journalists.

When western journalists hand-wave their suppression of the IOF’s atrocities in Gaza by claiming no journalists are “allowed” in to report, remember these men. Remind them of these men. These men who lost friends and loved ones, who suffered immensely, and yet chose to remain and continue documenting the genocide against their people. They join the ranks of more than 150 Gazan journalists who were murdered by the occupation to hide its crimes and retaliate for speaking the truth.

Palestinian Ministry of Health: The "isr@eli" occupation committed 4 massacres against families in the Gaza Strip, resulting in 58 martyrs and 179 injuries arriving at hospitals in the past 24 hours.

Jamal Shawahneh has ascended to martyrdom in Rambam Hospital in occupied Haifa as a result of the extreme torture and beatings he was subjected to while in occupation prisons. He is 55th known Palestinian martyr to ascend in occupation prisons.

Occupation forces abducted the journalist Abdulmohsen Shalaldeh near the Al-Fardis area, east of Bethlehem.

Journalist Ahmed Ghanem was wounded in the head and back due to zionist shelling that targeted Kfar Shuba in Lebanon today.

American-British warplanes launched two airstrikes on Hajjah in western Yemen

American-British warplanes targeted Hodeidah in western Yemen with three airstrikes.

Injured Palestinian children arrive to the Baptist hospital following an Isr@eli air strike that targeted a shelter for displaced Palestinians in Gaza city.

The Isr@eli occupation targeted the gold market area and the Omari mosque on Omar Al-Mukhtar Street with several rockets. Many martyrs were recovered and a number of injuries were rescued from the rubble.
