Lucy is a trans woman, and has been since her pre-teens. She started transitioning in 8th grade, and has lived her life as a female ever since. All of her friends and family know her as a woman and basically always have. She’s very happy with her life, and things are going well for her.

One day while at work, Lily gets an e-mail from a random account. “This video will fix your life!” At first she dismissed it, continuing with her work. But later that night, sitting on her couch at home, her curiosity got the better of her, and she clicked the link.

It was a spiral. She kept watching, and watching, enticed by it greatly. Subliminal messages filed her head, emptying it of any important thoughts. Time flew by before she realized she had been touching herself nearly the entire time. It felt too good to stop. She couldn’t think, this… weird… feeling that she hasn’t had in a long time consumed her.

She felt.. dysphoria. Shame about her body, hatred of her cute feminine voice, her cute face, her long silky hair, her bottom surgery, things that she’s worked for years to achieve turned against her instantly. And at the same time, it all felt so good in the moment. Finally, she came, and passed out from her exhaustion.

When Lucy woke up the next morning, the feelings persisted. She felt trapped in her own body, like it wasn’t… right. She put on a hoodie and sweat pants, slouching to avoid her chest from showing. This was so bizarre, she had moments early on in her transition where she felt womanly dysphoria, but never… whatever this was.

She had to go to the supermarket and get groceries for the week. Lucy was grabbing an avocado in the produce section when an older woman approached her. The lady asked “Excuse me ma’am, do you know where…” the lady’s words faded as Lucy zoned out. It felt like she’d been stabbed in the chest. The word “ma’am” repeated in her mind over and over again, hurting every time, “ma’am”, “ma’am”. “Ma’am?” The lady said, worriedly. Lucy came back to her senses, and guided the woman to what she needed. Lucy checked out without issue, and drove home.

Why was this happening? There’s no way a video hypnotized her into thinking she was a guy, no way. But the oddness she felt when she was… misgendered, stuck with her for the rest of the car ride, echoed and looped over again.

When she got home, she went to her closet and found one of her old sports bras. She hastily put it on in her bathroom, and looked in the mirror. She was almost entirely flat… and happy? She searched for a oversized t-shirt and put it on over the sports bra, and was shocked. She looked completely flat.

And “she” felt-

If you tell him your preferred name and pronouns when you first meet him, he’ll use the right away, no problemo

If you tell him you’re trans later on, he’ll understand the concept pretty quickly, and he is happy and proud that you’re able to tell him

If he sees something remotely similar to the trans flag’s colors hes immediately pointing it out (same goes for any other flags of your queer identities)

“Look! It’s like the trans flag!” He says (a bit loudly according to your reddening cheeks and the customers’ stares) while pointing to a white shirt with blue outer stripes and pink inner stripes on it

“Yeah…let’s keep it down just a bit, kay, Naruto?” He nods and apologizes, later taking you to Ichiraku’s for ramen (you’re paying though—what’d you expect, for him to have money?)

If you tell him your preferred name and pronouns after you meet him and you’ve been friends, it’ll be a bit harder for him

You walk up to him one day, looking incredibly nervous for some reason before you grab his attention

“Hey, Naruto, uh…I’m trans…”

The way he freezes scares you at first before you realize it’s his look of confusion, not his look of judgement (they’re really not that different convince me otherwise)

You explain to him, and like I said before he grasps the concept immediately

Naruto accidentally deadnames you or uses the wrong pronouns now and then, and it wouldn’t be that much of a problem, except…

“Hey Elizabeth, is this the (men’s item) you wanted?” in the store

everyone turns around and you pull a ‘pretend-like-you-don’t-know-him’

“Hellooo? Eliz- er, Y/N, eheh..”

When you get home that’s the fourtj time you’ve had to discuss the ‘pretend-like-you-dont-know-him’

If someone deadnames or misgenders you, he’ll correct them

If they keep doing it even accidentally, he’ll have a polite, definitely non threatening conversation alone with them

If he finds out it’s intentional, well uh…

“What do you mean, ‘I’m the prime suspect’?? I didn’t even know they went missing- …being the last person to leave with them and returning without them doesn’t mean anything-!”

If you were feminine before coming out, whether a while ago or shortly before, he literally does not GAF

If you completely start using your name and pronouns after meeting and knowing him, he’ll definitely be more sensitive about it. Still Sasuke tho, don’t push your luck.

He does really try to save you from embarrassment though, he’s only deadnamed or misgendered you in a male store for example once

He’s way more ecstatic and happy for you on the inside like in there he’s actually squealing

Kakashi reveals that he’s actually questioned his gender identity before, but it kinda got shoved out of his mind by his dad once (same with sexuality but he’s totally pansexual or something and he knows it—he doesnt care about gender he just likes people)

You guys discuss that stuff sometimes when he asks if its normal to question it, or his sexuality, or when he finally figures out the label for it is pan (or whatever) and then you guys just discuss your queer identities

One day he was just like “hey is it normal to wonder if I’m a boy? I know you’re a boy who was once a girl, or at least seen as one, but I…” and yeah

If you’re (around) his age, and he finds out you’re trans, he feels like he’s about to cry

Kakashi is SO HAPPY, he didn’t know trans people…would even be able to live as long as you…

If someone misgenders or deadnames you, Kakashi patiently corrects them

If they keep doing it, he gets a bit annoyed but makes you a pronouns pin and/or name tag and reminds them each time, his reminder dripping with more venom each time

If he finds out it’s intentional, Kakashi literally will get them in trouble, the excuse being they were harassing and bullying you, even so much as saying they were threatening your existence (which isnt a complete lie)

He cares so much about you dare I say loves you so much, whether it be in a familial way if youre a kid or adult, or a romantic way if youre an adult 

If you were feminine before coming out, he sometimes gets confused but usually does great actually with few mistakes

If youre still feminine he sometimes gets confused on accident but it doesnt take him long to get good

Mentioned this before, but it's likely he misgenders and even deadnames you just for shits and giggles (that only he finds funny), until you genuinely get upset and guilt comes crawling in, making him quit it. He doesn't understand that his words carry a weight with them most of the time, so it's more out of debauchery than straight up malice, which is a little rich coming from him. Despite this, he feels like he's the only one who can disrespect you like that (in his own twisted mind, that is) and will not stand for anyone doing the same thing, his protectiveness and violent tendencies coming into play. The knife he carries around isn't just for show, afterall.

Doesn't care for gender or gender roles, which is a surprising level of maturity coming from someone that behaves like a pre teen boy most of the time. No matter how you dress or behave, he just sees you as a guy (even if you're in a dress and full makeup) cause that's what you are, no amount of femininity will change that fact for him, proposital or accidental. Doesn't even get mad when someone disrespects you in that regard, he just gets upset cause he straight up doesn't understand their prejudicial point of view, and just tells them to shut up in a flat voice, then ignoring any protest and moving his attention to you to ask if you're okay. Your comfort is of utmost importance to him.

Also mentioned this before, but since I headcanon Cody to be transmasc and them to be best friends, he's quite used to it. Plus, his compassionate and understanding nature wouldn't allow it to be any other way. Treats you with extra care and is extremely protective, just because he knows you already struggle a lot and he wants to make things easier for you. Makes you feel included by inviting you to hang out with him and the other boys in their so called "guys night out", which earned a eyebrow raise from Jeff but complete acceptance from the others. Will not tolerate any kind of funny business when it comes to this and is quick to verbally and physically threaten anyone who disrespects you.

Approaches it more from a doctor's perspective than anything else, since otherwise he would feel a little awkward and is scared to accidently offend you since that's the last thing he wants. Offers to help you get started on T if you haven't already and tells you what to eat to help increase your testosterone levels. Super nice and respectful, just wants you to feel comfortable in your own skin. Like Toby, he's a little bit extra protective when it comes to you, but more often than not he just corrects people when you get misgendered by them. If they insist, he drags you away and leave the person talking to themselves, not willing to give them the time of day. Your comfort is more important than whatever stupidity is coming out of their mouth.

He's literally a ragdoll, I don't think he cares or understands gender all that much. If you say you're a guy, then so be it, he'll refer to and treat you as one no questions asked and no matter how you look or sound like. ♡ His mother was surprisingly supportive, even if she didn't fully understand how he felt. It definitely took her a while to get used to the idea of having a son instead of a daughter, but loved him the same and even helped him choose his new name.

♡ Apollo was the one who helped him transition after S1. That is why in S2 he wears a shirt most of the time, even if the scars don't bother him.

♡ Before he could transition, he got his period when he was in Seraphim's ship. Evios and Kofi, though confused, went as far as to help him get some cloth he could use as a pad so he'd not bleed all over his seat.

♡ Seraphim was surprisingly supportive as well, in his own way. He at first referred to Heron as a woman, but was corrected by Hera ('The bastard is now a man'), and he frankly couldn't care less. He'll never admit it, but when he called Heron by his chosen name and refered to him as a male, the look of surprise and almost thankfulness on the demigod's face made him soften a bit. Just a little.

Radinclus does NOT mean Radqueer

Well, to start with, what do either of these terms even mean? We have an explanation of radqueers (and why the community is flawed) here! If the post is too long for you to read, a basis is: They steal terms from others, support transitioning for terms that never supported it in the first place or that are impossible to transition to (i.e. transracial and/or transage) and their community is full of entirely pro-contact beings (people who support paraphiles, all of them, acting on their paraphilias) and groomers whether a "good radqueer" or not.

But then, what's a radinclus? It's a term that's commonly associated with and mixed up with the term radqueer. Radinclus is short for "radically inclusive," the term generally means one is in support of identities like gaybians, lesboys & veldigirls/turigirls and mspec monos (pan lesbians, bi gays, etc.) All of these terms are known as "contradictory" and/or good faith terms.

So, what's the difference? Radqueers have outright stolen terms and are misusing them, whether using the terms in good faith or because they think it's "cute" or "fun" in some way, they're still being misused and causing harm. These terms belonged to different groups that weren't necessarily queer, but are being taken to mean something they never meant in the first place. Terms that those who are radinclus support have history in queer culture and have existed long before radqueers ever decided to appropriate other groups' terms.

The terms lesboy and veldigirl/turigirl are typically used by systems, those who are multigender or those who are trans and still feel a queer attraction towards women or men. These terms were never meant to be used by solely cisgender heterosexual men or solely cisgender heterosexual women. To say that multigender people who may identify as a man and a woman don't belong in either gay nor lesbian communities IS discrimination. You can be a minority and a marginalized group and discriminate against other marginalized groups, excluding multigender people from these spaces is discrimination. By letting them into your spaces, no, we aren't forcing you to date them. But acknowledge that they exist — acknowledge that gender is different for everyone and because of that, so is sexuality.

For those who are trans and still feel a queer attraction towards the opposite gender, that is entirely valid! The NWLNW (Non-Women Loving Non-Women) and NMLNM (Non-Men Loving Non-Men) terms were historically used by TERFs to discriminate against trans men and women and imply that they were not 'actual men' or 'actual women'. Alternative terms to NWLNW and NMLNM are QLM & QLW (Queer Loving Men and Queer Loving Women). A cisgender heterosexual man would never understand the queer attraction that a trans man might feel towards women, nor would a cisgender heterosexual woman be able to understand the queer attraction towards men that a trans woman may hold. And no, a trans man using the term lesbian or a trans woman using the term gay isn't misgendering themselves — if one label fits them more than another & they're using it in good faith, let them!

Now, what's a 'gaybian'? Or a 'lesgay'? Or a 'straightbian'!? Someone who identifies as both gay & a lesbian (or straight and a lesbian, but we'll be focusing on what a gaybian because the same explanation can be used for other variations). You might be thinking now, well if the definition for lesbian and gay are queer loving men and queer loving women, how can you experience queer attraction to both if you're not both genders? Well, for one, most people who are gaybian are multigender — the way they view their attraction to both genders may be different because of that. They may view themself as both a gay man and a lesbian woman, and that's perfectly valid! If you believe that one or both of their identities as such are invalid or that they need to make their own community, that just means you have internalized biases against multigendered people. Others who may use this term are systems due to the varying genders and orientations between the alters.

Finally, mspec monos, also known as mspec gays or lesbians. Firstly, what does 'mspec' mean? Mspec is short for multispec, which is the umbrella term for identities in which one is attracted to multiple genders — i.e. pansexual, bisexual, omnisexual, etc. How can one be both multispec and lesbian? The most common explanation are those who use SAM, the split-attraction model. Many use the argument that SAM was made for aspecs by aspecs, and therefore mspecs cannot use it, but the first example of the SAM was in 1879 by Karl Heinrich Ulrich who used the example of heteroromantic homosexual in his writings. While romantic and sexual attraction may not be as separate and more intertwined for others, that isn't the case for everyone. Not everyone has to use the split attraction model, but it does work for those who's sexuality and romantic orientations are aimed towards separate genders.

Some people just ARE multispec and gay/lesbian — not understanding an identity isn't an excuse to shit on or discriminate against it. That's not to say blindly accept it, but there is proof and recorded history of these identities existing in the queer community for years. You cannot brush them off as "just a new fad" or "trend" when they've existed since before you did. Most radqueers support harmful beliefs and encourage them, radinclus is the inclusion of identities that have always been apart of our community — but have been thrown to the side for more 'easy to understand' ones. Whether you think they're 'the reason people aren't willing to understand' or not, don't fight against people who're in the same community fighting the same fight as you. There will be people who will hate you whether you're the most 'normal', 'straight-person-looking' lesbian ever or the people that you hate in your own community — the only difference is that when they're driving YOU out, there'll be no one left to help you.
