High school hcs! Yes yes yes! Honestly sometimes I don't even know what hcs I have until someone asks for them so this is a blessing for me

Kenny, Stan, and Kyle-High School Dating Hc's

Kenny!

🧡I see Kenny as the type to act like a playboy in high school and have the reputation as a flirt, but not the numbers to back it up. Like he tried so hard to seem suave and smooth, but nothing works

🧡Now when it does work on a pretty thing like you he's taken aback and suddenly that little playboy attitude falls apart. That's when you'll see that hesitance and nervousness break through as he tries to actually ask you out properly

🧡Gestures type of guy- not the type to spend all his money on things for you but he shows his affection with his actions. Between him and his siblings he's learned how special it can be to do even the smallest things for a person, and now that you're his person that's what just what he does.

🧡Works a lot after school, as in will always have some sort of job or gig that he's doing to try to save up money. As a result that means a lot of after work dates in which he brings leftovers from the kitchens he works in or flowers he picked on the way over to your house. Your parents weren't pleased initially with having a teenage boy come over unannounced at like 9 pm but he's a charmer (you got 15 minutes before they kick him out)

🧡Big BIG cheerleader in anything you do. Are you in a sport? He's loud and proud in the stands. Cheerleader? He's at every practice watching you prance around. Hell if you were in chess club he'd probably get kicked out from how distracting he'd be.

🧡PDA fiend, but will be blushing the minute you reciprocate. Like he's all for having a hand in the back pocket or around the waist, but the second you give a peck as you leave for class he's done for.

🧡Kenny comes off as the type of high school boyfriend that is a complete simp, and despite how people may perceive him they would find that relationship so incredibly sweet.

🧡Even as a teen is planning for the future- he has plans to make that last and does talk about it casually like it's already happening. His friends find it a little laughable, but he is dead serious about his plans for you.

Stan!

💙I know in the show Stan is kind of a so-so boyfriend but he's also like 10. As he grows and matures into himself and finds his personal passions I see his perception on romance changing quite a bit

💙I will forever hc Stan as someone who truly appreciates the art of music. Yes, he prefers some of the harder stuff but that doesn't mean he can't see the merit of any other genre. As such I also firmly believe that he is the type to tie songs to certain people. His realization that the feelings he had for you were something more than platonic came from the love filled songs that he kept playing on repeat all while you were on his mind.

💙A romantic at heart with awkward execution. This boy grew up with Shelley Marsh, who might've beat his ass on more than one occasion but was still a teenage girl at one point. He's seen the sappy rom coms and he's seen the allure of Mr. Darcy in pride and prejudice. The issue is he is not the best at mimicking that. At the very least you find it cute.

💙Does try to be sweet and suave but it usually comes out as a jumbled mess that leaves him feeling embarrassed and a little nauseous. He will try to write you a love song at some point which he anxiously performed with many a missed note and stuttered lyrics, but regardless he still receives only the most important accolades in the form of your praise. God forbid his friends hear about him trying to woo you like that though, he will never hear the end of it.

💙Bad memory and as such does forget important things like dates and anniversaries. He would be a little confused as to why dating for 6 months was important (high school relationship anniversaries are something else, I do remember) but he'd still feel guilty at missing that. Would be the type to spend his allowance on something cheesy to make up for it (or if it was bad he's going to write you a song and perform it outside your window. Yes it does piss off your parents.)

💙He's all for fast food dates- just sitting in his truck with a meal between you two as you talk the hours away. His mother did chastise him for it saying something about how partners like to be taken out once in a while only for him to whine "but I did take them out! We went to Taco Bell last week!" To him he sees the comfort and intimacy of being alone like that more romantic than sharing a space with 20 other people at other tables. Plus it's more affordable.

💙Stan is not a planner. He knows the future is arriving at the speed of light but for him it's easier to take things as they come. Might be disappointing to hear but he is not the kind of guy who is planning your life together after graduation- all he knows is he wants to be a part of yours and so long as he is he feels mighty fine about whatever comes next.

Kyle!

💚I hc Kyle as being really sure of himself and who he is as a person. He stands by his convictions and has no problem arguing for his beliefs. Despite this he does have insecurities when it comes to things like romance. He was pretty confident when he was younger but after a few failed attempts (and the aftermath of The List still haunting him) I think he started feeling a little down about his romantic prospects.

💚If he's crushing it's more than obvious to his friends, but to others it's a lot more subtle-little glances and the need to be slightly closer than needed. He is not the type to pursue that crush unless 1. he gets a big push from Kenny or Stan (we know Eric isn't going to) or 2. He has a crystal clear sign that things aren't just going to crash and burn for him.

💚Nervous, nervous, nervous. He is going to be all nerves when things are brand new. Those first few dates, the hand holding, shy smooches, it all leaves him feeling jittery and like he's going to explode. But soon enough he finds his stride in routine with you, relaxing into the relationship as time goes on.

💚Big on family, no matter how irritating. You will meet Sheila at some point between your first the third date. If it's not her inviting you over for dinner it'll be an ambush as you two and his parents just so happen to be at the same restaurant "What a coincidence, Bubbe! Oh you much be Y/n!" Lots of pictures of the two of you will be taken. (I love Sheila. I want that noted.)

💚He's grown up with the importance of school drilled into his skull. As much as he adores you he might have to cancel a few dates to make sure he's not going to fail his next exam. When he realized there were such a thing as study dates though? You might as well have told him he won a huge prize. He does still take things very seriously though, don't expect him to slack on quizzing you.

💚Not a fan of PDA, only because when he's had to witness others do it he felt it was obnoxious. He does however still hold your hand during the day and give kisses in greetings, he's just not going to corner you into a locker like "some goddamn animal" as he'd say. There's a time and place for that and it is not in front of the student body.

💚I love the image of him playing basketball as his extra curricular- it's good exercise and great for improving teamwork and building connections (all great for a college application!) He'd probably be a bit shy to ask you to go to his games, saying it wouldn't be a big deal and it's not like it's a really important game anyway. When he sees you in the stands though his face is lit up like the brightest light bulb. Afterwards when he's introducing you to the team he's calling you his lucky charm all with a beaming smile and pink cheeks.

💚Unlike Stan, Kyle is indeed a planner. He's got his college picks ready by the end of sophomore year and he has his options for fields he wants to explore. That being said, he's not necessarily planning to go to the same college as you would be nor does he expect you to do the same. He is very set on making sure both of you get the most out of your future, and if that means being apart for a bit than he's willing to put in that work. His mom and dad were pretty pleased to hear that, but Sheila did notice that along with some of those ivy leagues Kyle applied to were a few colleges much closer to home that sounded very familiar to ones you had mentioned. If asked he'd just say admissions could be tough and he's making sure he's got his backups ready.

Jinwoo’s always got this calm, stoic demeanor, even in the most intimate moments. But when you really push him—when you touch him in just the right way, or whisper something into his ear—he breaks. He will look at you like he wants to eat you.

Woo Jinchul

Our dear Jinchul, so caring, so polite and professional outside. This is also reflected on how he treats you in bed. He lives to take care of you.

He’s not rough—most of the times, but when he pulls you closer or shifts your position, there’s an undeniable sense of authority in his movements that leave no way to discussion.

He loves to take you apart with his hands. He's precise, methodical. He studies every reaction, learns what makes you twitch, what makes you cry out. Then he uses it against you. Ruthlessly. Every. Single. Time.

So gentle and polite... until you tease him or defy him, then he isn't anymore. Jinchul rarely ge angry but when he does expect to be punished.

His tie would be a pretty knot around your wrist as brings you to the edge for the nth time but never letting you tip over, because that's for only good girls and you definitely weren't one that day.

If your pretty sobs get to him he may be inclined to let the pleasure finally wash over, but only to change his punishment. If before you were tearful due to the edging now you wails would be a chorus of "Too much, too much!"

Uramichi would love to show off his strength in a fun, safe way with you. Why not? It boosts his ego, you get adorably flustered, and you both share a laugh and forget the world for a while.

He'd pout when you don't have time to watch his work outs. He doesn't like doing them alone anymore, and it feels almost pointless if you aren't there to ask to feel his muscles or ask for help getting limber and flexible.

Kumatani rolls his eyes every time and tells him to get ready to shoot, but Uramichi is crestfallen and throwing a fit until the kids come out and get ready to see him.

He gets such a cute pink on his cheeks when you feel up his arms and ask if he can bench you. (Yes. Quite easily. You two should uh, test that out sometime.) He loves to show off his body, loves to feel that surge of pride when you praise him and tell him how good he looks. Uramichi loves to be silly too. Exaggerates his sighs, groans in annoyance when you say you have work and then keeps it going until you start to stare, then break into a laugh. Pretends to be shot and that the only cure is for you to kiss him better, acts offended when you decide to wear your own hoodie and not the one he gave you, asks if he did something wrong when you don't text him good morning or good night.

He's a very playful puppy when he wants to woo you! Sweet, excited, possibly has an invisible tail wagging. But don't let that fool you. He can easily turn into a dog that bites if he feels people are getting too close.

Not that he'd ever scare you! You'd be none the wiser, getting your treats on the way home and talking about your day while he eats up every word and pitifully pleads to stay the night.

Lorsan 

Lorsan is a dork. But at least he’s your dork!

Whether that’s a good thing or not is up to you. 

Lorsan canonically loves flower crowns, as a child. As an adult, he won’t admit it but should you give him some fresh wildflowers, he melts a bit at the gesture. Maybe he’ll make you a crown, though it might be a bit messy from lack of practice. 

He does his best to woo you with his words. Many of his compliments, however are pure poetry, and he’s an expert in romantic letters to make you swoon, then he ruins it by praising himself too much. 

Don’t be fooled, he’s a romantic at heart. You can see the effort he puts in to sweep you off your feet. 

He enjoys making you blush, sneaking you kisses on the cheek when you aren’t looking. 

If you take your revenge while he’s talking, he continues talking until he registers the kiss and his voice trails off. It’s a great way to get him to stop talking for a bit. 

Dates with the dork are fun! He likes to explore new things with you, or to show you his favorite pretty date spots, he’ll take you to the prettiest, iconic date spots in the Dark Forest, like Lovers’ Wish. (“Though they don’t hold a candle to you, darling”) 

Oh, get ready for the pet names. All of them, sometimes in the same sentence. They get cheesier the more mischievous he’s feeling. 

Lorsan is your protector, should you need it! It’s sometimes difficult to remember that Lorsan is a skilled Windwhisperer and warrior in his own right, but he’s very good at making people remember. 

All of the tension goes out of him when you two are alone, he’ll nuzzle against you, boneless and tail twitching in happiness, kissing your cheek with his lips and his nose. He’s a cuddler, through and through. 

Lucius 

This man be a himbo. A relatively sophisticated and well-bred himbo, but a himbo all the same. 

Dude was straight up missing for two weeks trying to help people. He be himbo

Canonically, most of his advice involves exercise or horses. I don’t think he understands romance. At all. 

Lucius is a noble, so his ideas of romance are kind of centred around what he heard growing up. So he courts you, basically, in his own way. He gives you gifts that are simple, practical and beautiful. Bouquets of flowers, jewellery, whatever you asked for him. Service is also a big thing. He’s your literal knight in shining armour, dude will carry you across the globe princess style should you ask him to. 

he takes you to his favourite restaurants, they are simple, plain fare. Though with how loved he is by his country, the servers and owners always do their best to make it a good experience. 

He’s very sappy, make him something, no matter how stupid or silly it looks, and he wears it with pride in public, proclaiming you as the maker. He gets a bit confused should you get embarrassed. 

He likes taking you on horseback rides, he’s named every single one he’s ever ridden, and remembers their temperaments, so it will always be a pleasant experience for you. 

He won’t talk to you about his troubles, he’s had to keep it to himself so long that it’s tough for him. He’ll open up to you very slowly, after some needling. 

He’s also very hesitant about affection, he won’t initiate it unless you give your permission. He’s very gentlemanly in that regard, though it can be frustrating. 

His kisses are very gentle. He cradles your face in his hands, and gazes at you with such tenderness. His hugs are comforting and very warm, like he's protecting you from the entire world.

(PRE-DATING.):

• First of all, he'd probably fall in love at first sight, in the crowd where he's fighting, or while scrolling to social media. (Imma do while fighting, cus why not.)

• He'd win at a fight, as he glanced at the crowd with pride and full confidence, as he stood over his opponent with boldness. As he suddenly saw.. someone (you.), that immediately caught his eye. (Did his heart skip a beat? Maybe it did.. he wasn't sure.)

• He'd try to gain their attention first in the crowd, but due to the noise, it was no use. As the crowd slowly started to disperse, (Ah, yes! He could finally get to them!! That was too easy-)

• You weren't there. (Yikes.)

• He frantically looked and searched around for a simple glance of you, but in great sorrow, he couldn't find you at all. Asking for anyone, hell, even his BODYGUARDS!.. still nothing. (Definitely not stuttering like a fool while explaining details, the bodyguards were confused.)

• He sadly sat on a lone bench at the park, exhausted from the searching, as he scrolled through social media to put his mind away from that certain person, but.. he couldn't shake off the feeling of curiosity, and a bit of sadness losing sight of them.

• After a few seconds, he sighed, as he gently turned off his phone, and glanced around it boredom, and melancholy.. until. He saw.. them again? Buying ice cream. (Well, it certainly couldn't go wrong in a day.) he thought.

• But, his full confidence reappearing, he playfully smirked and approached you, standing proud and tall, as he stared down at you, and flirted with you, but showed disinterest.

• But, eventually, after he decided on another approach to just.. talk to you normally, it surprisingly gained his favor, as you chatted with him for a while! And eventually made him gain your number.

PROS (No cons):

• He'd definitely save you in phights very often, even if you didn't need saving.

• Would try flirting with you, (def not trying his luck to woo you-)

• If he heard someone badmouthing you? He will gladly kick their ass to teach them a listen. But if they actually hurted you? Oh, it's over for them.. (No, like, actually.) (Person found with 12 burn marks, 5 broken ribs, ruptured lungs, brain damage, broken legs, 1 broken arm-)

• But if you were oblivious to the clues, he'd definitely try harder and not give up. (From him trying to make you notice him that he actually likes you, more than platonically, romantically.)

• That's all I could've thought of, lol TvT..

DATING:

• He'd give you countless gifts, bouquets, and mention you (a lot of times on his phights, honestly.) in his phights admiringly, and scream out your name. Adoringly pecks your cheek while waking up in the morning, or while you're asleep.

• Romantically sets up his dates somewhere else quiet, to make it more romantic. (Def NOT where you both met, you both are not gonna phight each other.. 💀) Though, he may not seem like it, he pays a lot of attention to your likes and dislikes, very attentively. So, don't be surprised if your favorite tv shows, food, and plushies suddenly show up at the start of your date. He watched a bunch of K-dramas for romance lessons, and for corny pick-up lines. And rarely tried to recreate a scene from them.

• Would definitely just 100% beat the living crap ot of someone if they hurt you, or threaten you in anyway. If it's directed at him? That's fine, but at you?.. He's already tracking down their location and already planning a way to make them pay their own grave, while beaten up.

• Oh, he's 100% a jealous type. He doesn't like people trying to woo you, when he did that first! (Yeah, a difficult process in his book.). Plus, it makes him feel a little insecure, (please reassure him when you both get back home. He'd definitely need it. 💔)

• Does NOT know how to play instruments, maybe a little drums, but not THAT experienced. But, if you do? He'd definitely clap for you repeatedly with a stupid grin in his face, and encourage you to participate in musical competitions, or just invite you to his phight while you play an instrument. (He loves you bro, he truly does. ❤️)

• Mentions you a lot in social media. Like, "My girlfriend/fiancee/boyfriend is so hot.", "Why are they so cute!?!? (Posts pictures of them and him together.)", etc.

• Can cook decent food, but probably not a fancy one. He can take out if you ask, and offer himself to pay, (Will refuse if you try to pay.). But if you can? He'd definitely kiss you on the cheek as a reward, if you serve him a tray of breakfast, while he's in bed, or just pepper your face with kisses.

• Not the clingy type in public, since his pride is precious to him, and his dignity as well, after all. But whenever you hug him in public, or randomly kiss him, (on the lips, cheeks.).. He'd look at you with the most red-faced, and confusion. But definitely not complaining though.

OOOH I love this question! Also that was a borisin. It was part of a larger drawing I wanted to make of Yanqing with a bunch of other denizens of Abundance, but as you can see, It's been abandoned </3

Currently, I only have one au that focuses on yanli, and that's chimera!Yunli, but I absolutely have a ton of Yanli hcs. I would include both, but the post would be incredibly long if I did, so here's a list of my current hcs from memory(very long list ahead):

Yunli makes stealing Yanqing's swords into a habit. The first few times it was just to get a rise out of him or to instigate a fight, but soon enough, it became more an excuse to hang out with him

The first time Yunli stole a sword to trick Yanqing into hanging out with her, Yanqing was entirely confused and suspicious for the entire definitely-not-a-date

Yanqing himself slowly stops getting upset about these thefts and begins looking forward to an out-of-the-blue spar or hangout

Speaking of Yanqing's swords, Yanzhou loves Yunli, and even his misbehaving ice sabres are fond of her

Sometimes the swords will tell Yunli something embarrassing about Yanqing, or things he's said about her in private, and Yanqing will freak out because she won't tell him what they told her

Occasionally, they won't say anything at all. Yunli is just teasing

Further into their relationship, when the two are actually getting closer, his sabres will sometimes sabotage Yanqing's attempts to woo Yunli or act cool around her, usually by making him trip or making him look like a fool in spars

Yanqing finds these events humiliating. Yunli finds them funny and endearing.

When Yanqing is talking, Yunli will sometimes eat especially loud to annoy or tick him off. She always does this when he's speaking to other Cloud Knights

Yanqing's dynamic with Yunli reminds Jing Yuan a lot of himself and Yingxing when they were younger, with the latter's pride and Jing Yuan's own youthful ambitions

Yanqing and Yunli are both trans, afab and amab respectively

They're also both on the autism spectrum. Obviously their shared hyperfixations are swords

Yanqing is terrible at talking to girls, or anyone he has a crush on really

Yunli fell first, Yanqing fell harder

Yunli fell for Yanqing the moment he subdued Hoolay

It takes years for Yanqing to realize he's in love, while it takes Yunli a matter of months

Jing Yuan knew the whole time

So did Huaiyan

When Yunli went back home to the Zhuming, she snuck one of Yanqing's swords with her. Call it payback

Yunli is the cat, Yanqing is the golden retriever

At one point, Yunli was taller than Yanqing and she held it over his head constantly. As you'd expect, Yanqing hits a growth spurt and he always brings up this fact during arguments (especially if he lives long enough to grow into Ma Feima's size)

Their first kiss was initiated by Yanqing completely on the cuff during an argument or spar. He became so embarrassed that he ran off and couldn't face her for days

When they're grown up, they become very well known rivals and people often make bets on who's stronger/who would win in a fight

They often visit each other on their respective ships, and this increases upon reaching adulthood where their relationship has developed and they no longer require chaperones

They retain their rivalry at this age, however there's a subtle shift from childhood spats to a more mature but still petty dynamic that screams old married couple

Much of this bickering evolves from proving to the other that they themselves are the best, to who can pay the tab at lunch, which kind of food the birds would prefer and which obscure historical figure was cooler

They still never truly grow out of that more childish nature. They'll always be rivals at heart

They would also die for each other. Like, even currently (2.5 going on 2.6) they would put their lives on the line if it meant keeping the other alive

2.4 yanli would still save the other's life, but it would eventually just be used as another thing to hold over the other's head, and any real concern would be short-lived

I'm confident that if one of them acted recklessly in a fight, or hid an injury or whatever, the other would drop everything to take care of them, all the while scolding them for how stupid the other was. Super cliche and, at this point, cheesy, but I think it's in character. Especially on Yunli's end. She would tear poor Yanqing a new one

Additionally, that one classic Princess Mononoke scene? That's Yanli coded. Prove me wrong

“Oh no, it wasn’t bad at all! I’m used to this kind of thing.” You laughed as Anya ran over, taking your hand and bringing you to Yor. The three of you went about to the living room as Franky puffed his chest with pride.

“Aren’t they just amazing? Tough as nails, but sweet as candy! How’d I get so lucky to meet them?”

“Through me. And the agency.” Loid reminded, softening as he watched the informant swoon, head over heels in love. “You really do like them, huh?”

“Like? I’m so in love, Loid! I’ve never met anyone like them! They’re talented and smart and considerate of my time-” He paused briefly on that one, side eyeing Loid before continuing. “They always make me feel like I’m important, even when their plate is full.” He leaned in his arm as he watched you chat with Yor and Anya, laughing and smiling without a care in the world. “I owe you one.”

“You really don’t. I didn’t expect this to happen, but I’m happy for you both. Truly.” Franky eyed him suspiciously, but found no lie. He smiled after, lightly punching Loid’s arm.

“Say- we should do a double date soon. Maybe I can teach you the ropes on how to properly woo your lover~”

“No thanks.”

“Come on, I’m basically an expert on romancing people now!”

“You really aren’t, and I think I’m doing just fine with that.”

“I-” Franky raised his brows, not expecting that. Loid seemed to stiffen at the accidental confession. “No way, you’re-”

“Fuzzy head! Papa! Come play with us!” Anya’s cries of joy reached out to them, a pack of Bondman playing cards in her hands. “(Y/N) brought me a present!”

“We’re gonna play old Bondman! Is-is that what it’s called?” Yor asked as you grinned, lifting a shoulder.

“Sure- let’s go with that. Franky, you’re on my team.”

“Be right there, gorgeous! Winning couple reigns supreme!” He cried, laughing like a gremlin as he ran over. Loid shook his head with weary amusement, joining the party as Franky kissed your cheek.

He might be a bit of a show boater with this kind of thing, but his feelings were true. Franky clearly loved you, and to Loid; that was worth putting up with his informant’s antics.

Gi-hun would tickle Sang-woo for overworking himself so much that even when he wasn't there Sang-woo would feel ghost tickles whenever he overworked himself

While writting my last Sangihun fic, a HC popped up in my head about Sang-Woo's sex life, and it's that (with the exception of Gi-Hun) everyone he sleeps with must sign a consent contract highlighting what he is willing and not willing to perform during sex, and will sue if they dare to break any clause.

"How is Gi-Hun different?" you may ask. Well, since they started fumbling from a young age, he didn't have the concept of a "consent form".

Even though he prides himself in being righteous and not falling for "frivolous things" others his age did, he was still a hormonal teen who wanted to experiment, and boy, did they experiment.

Thanks to Gi-Hun, he knows what he wants and how he wants it, so he can write down every single action, full of details, of what he and the chosen partner will do.

However, with Gi-Hun, he doesn't know what he wants to do with him, but he knows he wants to do it with him. Gi-Hun won't ask him about doing something he dislikes, and he can always say no, and vice versa.

He can only truly trust Gi-Hun his intimacy and would do things he wouldn't dare with others.

having a written consent form is so sangwoo tho. he'd want control at all times and not being surprised by his partner's sexual preferences would be one way that he can always know what is coming.

•The rest of the night was just you both cuddling and telling each other that they were being a baby.

•But you both forgave each other and said that next time, you both are watching a movie that isn't horror.

In honor of Pride Month, here's a rapidfire ramble about my OCs' orientations and how those and their actual preferences play off with their personalities and shape key moments of their story. Bonus context for my hc on queerness in Tyria.

Aurelia Dragonwings - Pansexual homoromantic Girls are pretty. I mean, boys are neat too, but she only ever had eyes for Ardea and later on Ellara, and that clear preference never had her experiment with the other side. The one and only experience she had with a guy was with her best friend Obsius, specifically when Ardea wanted to have a cub and she took one round "just to try it", only to end up having a cub as well (Adamas is an oopsie baby, yes). In general, labels are very confusing to her and the topic of romance held a lot of grief for years, so she would avoid answering any question on the matter, but if someone were to ask her friends, they'd just say she "doesn't know she's lesbian for someone".

Adamas Crystalsoul - Pansexual He's a pretty boy with great pedigree and had waves of people interested in him, but in the fahrar he was too focused on becoming Legionnaire to entertain childhood crushes, and then his heart got snatched away by Maeveryl before he even considered romance an option, still recovering from the loss of his would-be warband. Countless hearts got crushed by the fact that the Pact Commander's son was open about dating a sylvari and being loyal to them, yet Deryn somehow managed to woo the guy (only because Maeveryl sometimes quite literally pushed him towards her). Overall he has a feminine and androgynous preference, though like his mother he never had a proper chance to explore romance with guys.

Tocchix - Demisexual panromantic (trans guy) He spent most of his teenage years feeling sort of inadequate for romance because he never felt "the full pull" towards anyone (not helped by the comparison to a serial crush-haver like Fynn, his best friend in Lion's Arch), so he preferred to focus on training hard and join the Order of Whispers, figuring that it'd be a problem for his older self. Terrible at picking up on flirting attempts and needing to have it very slowly and clearly spelled out for him, he missed a ton of chances with many, and that was not helped by the fact that when he falls for someone, he becomes the definition of devotion, not seeing anyone else even to his detriment. He only ever fell for Iotta, Poffi and, many years later, Huki.

Maeveryl - Panromantic asexual (non-binary) While they are pan, they do have a strong preference for masculinity, or better, a general aversion towards feminine behavior and appearance. They had their first experience with romance with their saplinghood best friend, Morwen, and they quickly figured out femininity wasn't really for them, both for their own body and in a partner. After that, they only had another experience that ended bitterly, and then Adamas became their heart. Years later, when Deryn joins their relationship with Adamas, they don't share romantic feelings for each other, though they quickly become quite platonically affectionate with each other.

Ellara Echodancer - Homosexual Just lesbian. Girls gals girls. Only women of all kinds. She's totally not a hot mess, because she's got rizz and isn't afraid to use it, even just to have a little innocent flirty fun that totally isn't a distraction.

Hel Ravenlost - Homosexual G g girls... pr... etty... Don't worry, after losing Sieran without having been able to tell her how she felt for years, she does get better at not completely hiding her feelings. Luck isn't on her side, but third time's the charm, I swear!

Bunnie - Pansexual demiromantic (non-binary) She likes to sleep around, so anyone willing and compatible (both personality-wise and physically) is fair game for her to have a little no-strings-attached fun. As for the romantic side, I elaborated on it a bit here, but in short she does want romantic relationships and isn't afraid of showing the kind of interest in others that could lead to that, but she always had issues with developing feelings of the romantic kind and having them last, so she tends to coyly hide behind a bit of an emotionally-nonchalant facade until she feels safe to love someone.

Ethanryel - Asexual aromantic (agender) Just never felt anything of either kind of attraction, and that's very much fine for them. Bunnie once explained queerplatonic relationships to them, but that ended up being a sore point for them. The closest thing to that could have been their bond with Grace, a Zephyrite gal who had taught them a lot about healing and voiced for them to join the Zephyrite on their last travel. She had a pretty evident crush on them yet she was the first that didn't make them uncomfortable, but before they got to talk about anything of that matter, she was mortally wounded in the crash in Dry Top, and they never forgave themselves for not having been able to save her. Years later, when Aurene branded their arm to save them, Ethanryel took the title of Grace of Aurene in memory of their friend.

Deryn - Pansexual Gender doesn't matter to her, if one is a nice and hot charr, they're a nice and hot charr. Probably if Mae were a charr she'd have made a move on them as well, but after the initial fascinated curiosity towards the very concept of sylvari, only strong platonic feelings towards them are left.

Markus Blake - Bisexual Due to his parents being in a queerplatonic relationship and being told since really young that he'd have assured the freedom to choose they nearly didn't get (Nora and Lionel were childhood best friends who married each otherso that they could have the kid they both did want and be done with further family expectations, with her being lesbian and him aroace), he never really thought much of romance, thinking he'd just know when he found "the one". When he met Kai, he thought he'd found that one and hoped she'd eventually return his feelings for years, failing at being clear with her about it while ignoring what he felt towards Fynn, the best friend he had found at the same time. It took him a while, but, by what felt just short of divine intervention, he eventually figured out that the "one" was actually "two".

Nari - Bisexual homoromantic Gals is where it's at. She does find feminine people hot in general and had a few experimental flirts across the gender spectrum, but proper relationships are something she knows she wants only with gals. She believes that such kind of strong confidence in her own ideas was what caught Hel's attention in spite of not being norn, not realizing that Hel prefers non-norn until much later.

Iotta - Pansexual demiromantic Her opinion of romance is that it sucks, like all that comes with it. Sure, people can be hot in ways that make sense from a biological standpoint, but for her whole life she couldn't imagine willingly being in a relationship, because everyone else is grossly incompetent and, at best, more annoying than what she could deal with on a daily basis. Being in a relationship with a dork like Tocchix only confirmed that she hates it, because that kind of implicit vulnerability and distracting fondness for someone else goes against everything she knows to be safe, and she utterly despises the fact she wants more of it and that she played herself into it by getting that brilliant idea of manipulating him in the first place. And then being "left behind" shattered any positive perception of romance nearly irreparably, and it drives her mad that she can't get that yearning blade out of her heart so it can rot in peace. So yeah, romance sucks, and it sucks that she fell for it that one time.

Poffi - Demisexual biromantic Growing up in a small krewe that was part of the same polyamorous pod for years and that treated her like their own progeny, she was exposed to plenty of relationship examples, so she thought she had a pretty clear idea of what she was like by the time she left home to join the Order. Sadly she never got the chance to test her theories due to her general insecurities, and she also missed the pretty important part where maybe some girls can be just as romanceable as guys. (hey, at least AU!Poffi gets to go through quite the poly rollercoaster)

Daunte Burstspell - Homosexual He's a simple charr: he liked his guys hot like his fire, and life was not a little fun without the risk of burns. Verge was his flame since childhood, and they openly shared their warmth with many others. Daunte continued doing so after losing him, and even though it was never the same, he did genuinely care for the young norn he so gleefully annoyed to no end.

Hagan Wesson - Pansexual Forced to run away from Hoelbrak and break up with his childhood sweetheart, Gretna (Hel's sister), he eventually tried to get over it in some way, and ended up having some... positively revealing experiences. Swinging for years between times where he wanted to enjoy himself without attachment and others where he tried to ignore everything else to focus on his duty in the Vigil, after Daunte's death he's been more open about enjoying other people's company, and eventually ended up being reunited with Gretna after he had already settled with Flom.

Flom - Pansexual Good thing he likes everything and is quick to like others, because he genuinely believed "beggars can't be choosers" for the longest time. Even better thing, he now has people he likes and who chose him first (and a demon in his head who regularly calls him out on bs he should unlearn).

Zehmik - Homosexual (masculine non-binary) Guys are just neat, sorry gals. Lost count of how many flings he entertained during his years in the Mist War, always keeping feelings at arms' length due to the risky nature of their situation and a heartbreak he never recovered from. The occasional experiment only confirmed his very serious case of gay gay homosexual gay.

Edraas Noiza - Asexual aromantic (?) Due to being a highly experimental hybrid, its body is a biological mess that may have yet to fully mature and its perception of emotions is different from that of all other sentient species, so the concept of romance or anything of that nature is downright alien to it.

Lenorey - Asexual ?romantic She doesn't really get what the big deal about romance is, not beyond just preferring someone's company over others', while sex is just an activity that can be fun. In general she cared more about getting high off of toxins, so it's all of little interest to her. Now, finding a weird little asura that is literally toxic, gives you more toxins as part of the experiments she asked to perform on you, and you get just a little bit high when you kiss her? Maybe that's what love feels like.

i have some thoughts.

reader is actively trying to show up Kali, bringing outrageously big game to Stone like he sees Kali bringing Stone tasty fish and he huffs, smoke pouring from his nostrills and the next thing they know reader brings Stone a whole orca he hunted, brings him the fattest seals too, the blubber is good for stocking up for winter. in theory reader has everything to charm and woo Stone. he's big (well over 7 feet), he's strong (easily lifting up a truck when they don't have a car jack), he's rich (huge hoard as well as old money in banks across the world), he's knowledgeable (knows so much stuff, was around when the first telescopes and star maps were made, was around even before that) but reader knows that Kali has an advantage of knowing Stone for a long time and another thing is that reader is old... like old old and Kali and Stone are far closer in age so why would Stone want some old man when he can have a young, lively mate who has been by his side for all this time. now of course reader won't just give up, dragons are known to be both proud and possessive so reader won't allow that kind of hit to his pride nor will he just give up what he thinks should be his. but a dark part of his brain is always whispering for him to be prepared to loose his dream mate to someone (in readers opinion) more suited afterall reader is old and past his prime (in dragon years) he couldn't even give Stone a proper family (i have a hc that certain hybrids are very gung ho about family and cubs) so despite being all that and a bag of chips reader can't help but be insecure (there's also the fact of it being a mythical hybrid trying to court a regular animal hybrid and considering the fact that reader would probably outlive them both so... yeah)

it ends with all three in a pollycule because i don't like angst lol (if you don't mind that is)

I mean, technically there's already a polycule because dragon hybrid!Reader is also courting lion hybrid!Sarabi. We might as well add wolf hybrid!Kali into it too, yeah?

Wolf hybrid!Kali who has more than one reason to try and one-up dragon hybrid!Reader's courting of Stone because you're courting both the mate he's been courting with for twelve years and his trusted lieutenant. Part of him feels like why should you get both lion hybrid!Sarabi and bear hybrid!Stone?

He knows realistically he cannot compete with a dragon hybrid, a fact that's further proven by you bringing an orca to Stone. But that doesn't stop him from trying.

Kali helps Stone take care of his den, helping him bring back the food you bought Stone so that he's well-stocked up for the winter. He provides Stone with the flowers he knows Stone loves, he shares his kills with Stone. He reminds Stone of all of their good times, he cuddles Stone every night he can with you around.

But Stone still wants you, actually, he wants you both. So he tells you two and you're quick to start courting Kali.
