Ok guys this is somewhat of a controversial take on Jason Grace’s powers. You can tell I was nervous writing this out because I used capitalization lol. Please read till the end

I want to start by saying I love Jason Grace. He is such a cutie. I adore him. And he is a very, very powerful demigod. And he is totally capable of very evil things, just like Percy. This take concerns a certain ability that a lot of people seem to think he has, but I don’t think people realize how unrealistic is. (I mean people can still hc whatever they want, it just doesn’t mean it’s canon.) Okay, here goes

There is absolutely no evidence or reason that Jason Grace would be able to control the electricity in our bodies. And here’s why…

I know so many of you really love that idea, and justify it by using the logic that percy can control people’s bodily fluids, so since jason can control lightning, he could control neurons and action potentials. But here’s the thing: The reason percy can control bodily fluids is because bodily fluids, like saliva, blood, and tears are largely made up of water, so he can manipulate the content of those substances that is water. And water is water. H2O is H2O. Percy directly controls all water. That’s his power.

Jason, however, controls weather. Which means he controls clouds, thunder, wind, rain, and yes, lightning. But just because lightning involves electricity does not mean he controls ALL electricity. He controls rain, right? Rain is water. But jason does not control all water. Just rain. Because it’s weather. And before you completely ignore what I just said about rain, and argue “but if he can control the electricity that causes lightning, he could control the electrical signals in people’s brains and muscles,” I see where you’re coming from, but the electricity in lightning is NOT the same electricity in our bodies. Unlike water, not all electricity is the same. Water is a basic chemical compound, in all its forms. Electricity, however, is the flow of electric charge through conductive materials, which produces energy. And those materials and types of energy vary. There are different types. The two we are discussing here are static electricity and bioelectricity.

Static electricity is the accumulation of electric charge on the surface of an object. Did you ever do that experiment where you rubbed a balloon on your head and your hair stuck up? Static electricity causes lightning when there is a buildup of electrical charge in the atmosphere during a storm. When the charge difference between clouds, or between a cloud and the ground, becomes too much, it creates a sudden discharge of electricity, which we see as lightning.

Bioelectricity involves chemicals. It refers to the electrical signals and currents produced within living organisms. It works through the movement of charged particles, called ions, across cell membranes, which allows for communication between cells, nerve impulses, muscle contractions, and various physiological processes.

So here’s the thing. Even if Jason could control ALL static electricity, which likely is NOT the case, it’s not even the same type as the electricity that makes neurons fire. And like I stated, Jason/Zeus has control over weather and storm elements, which may involve electricity, but does not mean he controls all electricity.

Okay besties, now before you show up in my comment section aggressively defending jason and assuming I think he’s weak, let me clarify: I am not saying Jason is not powerful as hell, or that he could not do some creepy ass evil things. He definitely could. For instance, he’s shown through his control over wind that he can manipulate air currents in various ways. MEANING he could create a vacuum effect, and suck all the air out of a person’s body. Like… HELLO? He could collapse their lungs. Deprive their brain of oxygen. He could repeatedly suck the de-oxygenated air, aka CO2, out of their lungs, and then force it back in. Which would be torture. Death by slow suffocation. So using his control of wind and air currents, Jason could be terrifying as hell if he wanted to be, and could do unspeakable things to human beings. I’m simply saying that his ability to summon lightning has absolutely zero connection to the hypothetical ability of being able to control people’s neurons. They’re not even somewhat related processes.

Please don’t yell at me. I love Jason. I think he could be very very scary and evil if he wanted to. Him as a villain would be catastrophic, and I’m not doubting that in any way.

i understand and like that people are normalizing it for others, but sometimes it feels performative. like if they don't have it it's okay. just do what we used to do.

this isnt an argument or anything against it. i think it's a good thing for people who want/need it. i'm just tired of people being assholes about it. if someone wants to be called something and they make the effort to tell people, like the pronouns in the bio, then you should call them what they want to be called. if they dont just the third person or if they have a pic go based on that.

Twisted Wonderland theory

In this I’ll be talking about a very interesting theory that I saw on tumbler, by darkspellmaster, a theory that Yuu/the mc is mickey’s heart.

If you want to get my version plus added points, you should read their theory first, it is heavily pressed by the theory that mickey is the mickey from Epic Mickey.

This entirely my own brainstorming, so don’t take it too seriously.

So, from the information we have, we know that Yuu is from an alternative universe or reality. They have no memory, supposedly, of how they got here and why they’re missing any form of identification, but the mirror assures that he makes no mistake and refuse to send Yuu back even if they have no magic.

This is when it becomes complicated, from my own ideas and info from the masquerade event translations, I believe that everyone in the twisted wonderland has magic but only 10% have enough of it or can control it.

! Spoilers ahead for the masquerade event!

We find out that Yuu is unaffected by the crimson lotus flowers, so Yuu, Grim and Trein get sent to help the villagers. But if only ten percent of the twisted can use magic, how are all these people affected? Maybe it's not everyone but this is a theory, bear with me!

That could possibly mean that everyone in the twisted wonderland have magic, but only ten percent

can use it or have enough for it to be usable. But Yuu is from an alternative world, one without magic.

So, my idea is that the mirror is like a guardian of the magic, that’s why people get chosen by it and not a test, so to help with the influx of overblots in the future, they bring a human from a magicless world but also someone they KNOW will help and be benevolent and empathic!

But who could they be sure would be, Mickey’s heart from an alternative world, someone who will never be influenced by overblots.

Now back to Grim, let's be honest there's no way he could’ve sneaked past the mirror and his amnesia, that’s very similar to ours, is suspicious...

So, the mirror must’ve let him get in on purpose, because Yuu needs someone to defend them and

act like the body. While Yuu is the heart, Grim is the body, exactly like Crowley said two student that make one!

To reinforce my point, let's look at Kalim and Jamil’s case. My theory is that Jamil with his magic, talent at teaching and taking care of others must’ve been supposed to become the dorm head but after being put down so much and creating an inferiority complex, he must’ve obtained a superiority complex. This must have led the mirror to deem, Jamil, not an acceptable head boy anymore. So, a month later, Kamil was sent a letter, he became the new head boy.

So, it's entirely possible, Yuu and Grim were both brought for this exact reason, the mirror makes no mistake.

!MORE SPOILERS, CHAPTER 7!

Another thing that furthers my point is the events during chapter 7, the diasomnia chapter. Everyone gets sent to their own dreams by malleus, so why do Yuu and Grim go into mickey’s dream

room, they’re basically in mickey’s dream. Only Silver whose unique magic is basically going into people’s dreams could do this.

A little extra, I also believe that the mirror controls our weird dreams. They show us the stories to prepare us and to make us understand what we’re about to go through and what the character is relating to. I also think that they are deciding when to let mickey meet us, they probably also put us into mickey’s dream instead of our own, to help us understand mickey and how the world works or maybe not...?

That’ll be all for now, its farfetched I know, but once you really think about it, it makes a LOT of sense!

I keep trying to write a story that will make people understand. I don't hate my flesh, or think its ugly even.

It's just not my flesh. It's not my face. I didn't consent to it. What bothers me about it is not how it looks, but that I *had no choice.* I want to choose my face, I want to choose what I depict, I want control over my image and what I am.

It means something to me, I guess. A face chosen is so much more comfortable than a face forced upon me. It's... its not disgust, its not. It's complicated. It's.

I guess I wish I knew how to explain it. In my head, I call it being 'Faceless,' and its not just a choice, it's... it's a matter of dignity, of respect, for something that matters to me. I don't know how to put that into words well, but like, if I had absolute control over my physical form I straight up wouldn't even look human, but I don't. But, I can take steps. I can control what is seen, how its seen, and...

Idk. Does anyone get it?

ok I'm gonna get yelled at for this one but I was cooking and the recipe called for chilli flakes and so I added some but I was like "oh chilli makes my mouth go numb" SO I decided to resolve that and I added milk to the recipe. and you know what it worked it changed the flavour only minimally and it reduced a lot of the after-effects of chilli peppers and its dumb but I like it
