5: Describe their cozy night in.

— Utsuki/Haru:

Since both of them are high schoolers and live with their parents/guardians, spending a night together is kind of an occasion in of itself, but still, like, a cozy, casual "date"

it's girl's night! at least that's what Haru tells her parents ^^;;

they don't care, especially if Utsuki is staying over after a study session that went on too long. As long as their daughter is doing good in school it's fine

if they're not too tired and don't have class the next day, they'll make/get something sweet to eat, watch a nostalgic movie, maybe do a craft together and chat until the early morning, all as quietly as possible as to not bother anyone past bedtime

Haru isn't all that comfortable with touch, so she actually prefers to sleep in separate beds. it still feels very close tho, as they keep talking (whispering) to each other even after the lights are out, until one of them falls asleep <33

11: Do either try to hide their emotions if upset? Can the other still tell?

— Dália/Saeran & Ray

It depends on how long has passed since the events of the canon story, but mostly yes on Dália's side. I mean she doesn't even let HERSELF acknowledge those feelings...

I interpret Saeran as a system: host Saeran, who Dália is dating and is the one fronting most of the time; suit Saeran, who prefers to keep his distance from her (and vice versa tbh); and Ray, who is also kinda dating Dália but he fronts way less and isn't as present as Saeran, so their relationship is more of a d/s dynamic than that of girlfriend/boyfriend

Being the one that knows her best, host Saeran doesn't hide his feelings at all, and he notices if she tries to do so. It's also with him that she's most comfortable being open with, so note the "if"

Ray tries to hide his feelings bc he's ashamed, but fails. He's usually too flustered and in his own head to notice when Dália hides things from him, tho

Suit hides his feelings AND knows Dália also does, but he doesn't want to pry and just leaves it be. He feels guilty for what happened in the main story, and Dália keeps her distance bc she's too scared to confront her own feelings about it.

— Lazarus/Griffith:

I like this one bc it focuses more on the 'secret' part of 'secret relationship', which is just crucial to laz and griff's whole thing

Before lovers, they're confidants. yeah, lazarus is completely obsessed with griffith, but griffith doesn't even like him that much (at least at first) The only reason he kept him around is because Lazarus offered a secrecy no one else could, and would THEN come to form a bond with him based on that trust.

Lazarus is basically the family doctor for the royalty, on top of being very knowledgeable about poisons and a bit of an alchemist (nerd) So his job is to listen to nobles sharing their physical weaknesses and gross secrets and telling them abt each different poison whenever someone feels like doing an assassination. (he never participates and will refuse to even listen to anything related, hes just a "I'm here to share my scientific expertise with my patients; whatever they choose to do with that information is not my business" kinda guy)

basically, he's privy to A LOT of stuff, and has lasted so long in that position bc he takes patient confidentiality REALLY FUCKING SERIOUSLY. and then he sees griffith for the first time ever and decides he'll make an exception for this random twink. lol.

So Griffith is drawn to him as a resource for political games and shit, right? but then, also, Lazarus is someone that Griffith doesn't have to impress. He's already obsessed with him, he's not a noble able to give him land or titles, and he's not a hawk putting his faith in Griffith's dream, so there's no outside pressure for Griffith to maintain his facade.

There's literally nothing Griffith COULD do that Lazarus would blame him for, even if it's outright evil shit. If Griffith is weak or tired or conflicted in front of Lazarus, he'd never tell anyone or think less of griffith, so it's him, and only him, that griff seeks out when he needs help

in short, their bond is based on that trust and secrecy rather than, like, attraction. they're not really lovers, i'd say they're co-conspirators with benefits 😌😌

ALRIGHTY! Time to formally reintroduce yall to my silly idiot OC Dandy!

and by that I mean, I redid their ref art, tweaked their bio, and finally made a ref for their stupid pajamas! Wanted to do other fits for them but aa another time. Brain is mashed potatoes.

Anyway, Dandy is my silly WH oc who's main theme is self care/self love messages shown through the imagery of gardening! Meant to be a sort of "garden of the self" sort of deal. They go by ANY PRONOUNS! She/her or He/Him, or They/Them are all correct and okay to use when talking about them! (I just tend to default to they/them) Putting their full bio under the break!!! So you can read it all there!

"Resident gardener of Welcome Home, Dandy Leon is a curious but careful presence among the others in the neighborhood. They enjoy the quiet and spending their time tending to their various flowers. While a little shy around their fellow neighbors, they open up quickly when asked about their garden. Despite their more introverted disposition, they're always determined to make every day just dandy!"

It’s presumed that Dandy makes appearances only in the later episodes of the show’s run. But in old scripts found with them, it's shown that they moved to Home specifically because they were interested in the local plant life there. The episode that featured their move in seemed to focus on them slowly warming up to the others in the neighborhood, as their shy nature made it difficult for them to properly meet everyone. When asked as to where they lived before moving to Home, Dandy mentions living in a farm town far away, simply deeming it "far more south from here!" A lot of their dialogue also mentions their father, though he's never named but instead mentioned passively as Dandy would often use phrases like "Well it's like my pop always said-" when speaking to the other puppets.

During their short time on the show, Dandy's segments seemed focused on care for their garden, the language hinting that the flowers were more a metaphor for taking care of oneself and well being. Other characters can be found pointing out how much better Dandy’s garden looks when they’re feeling happy, but also comment how wilted it becomes when they’re shown to be a bit more downtrodden. They feel strongly about how important it is to be kind to yourself, even if it’s a skill they’re shown to still be working on themselves. Their confidence is something they also struggle with, seemingly a character meant for shyer audience members to attach to and grow alongside with. Dandy is often depicted in illustrations with Frank, getting along quite well in the show, often joining him and Julie on small escapades. Before the show's end however, most of Dandy's screen time is with Wally as he tries to get Dandy out of their shell more to spend time around others.

Interestingly, what pronouns were used for them seemed to change between the show's episodes and illustrated materials. While neighbors would refer to them as 'he' during the show, most art pieces seemed to refer to Dandy as a 'she'. Whether this was simply a miscommunication between teams or a printing error is unknown.

How Scuffed Are Their Horns?

he keeps them pretty well maintained, he doesn't do much that would damage them either so they're pretty nice

I think they would get little damages but would be quickly fixed with some files, especially before his modeling gigs

nothing too bad, there's mainly scratches at the base where they hit his headphones

they get pretty scuffed when he has an anger moment and starts attacking things, but like mammon the stuff gets fixed fairly quickly, but he doesn't mind a few scratches

oh you know he files those babies every morning like his nails, he takes good care of himself and his horns are no exception!

Beel

they're not Horrible but there's definitely some damage from fangol games and more intense workouts, I imagine the tips aren't super pointy and kinda cracked off because he's so tall, probably accidentally hits them on things a lot

his horns can look pretty gnarly, mainly because when he does get them damaged he doesn't bother to get them fixed, he has quite a few scratches and chips taken out from when he was stuck in the attic and trying to ram the door, but he doesn't do much to damage them either

as if barbatos would let him walk around with scuffed horns, nah these things have their own jewelry of course they're perfect

they're pretty nice!! since his wing hand looking parts are so thin, he takes care to protect them, though I can see him with a few stray scars on them

Ok so, originally, I was going for something fancier, cuz my extremely vague memory of either Oceantale or Piratetale said sans and papyrus have absolutely banger designs, but then I stumbled upon this thing when searching for it and well.

What can I say, he looks pretty chill!! And Sails' overall vibe fits it, I thinks (I mean come on. Undersail. UnderSAILS isn't that just perfect. That's literally perfect.) Didn't draw his mechanical hand cuz I just didn't want to tbh

Mangey though, he very much Is covered ear to tails with blood that's mostly not his!! That is to say blood, gore and cannibalism tw (talk abt a tonal whiplash lmao)

So, Horrortale by @/sour-apple-studios. A post neutral timeline in Undertale leaves the underground without its king and so the head of the royal guards takes the crown in hopes of giving some lost order to the people, but uh ohs!! (I belive) the Core malfunctions (or blows up I dedass just forgor) and the monsters are left without energy or means to create food.

Which means they either have to starve or... eat each other, in order to survive.

So yea, Mangey is Horror!Sans (sort of)

I was meaning to do that silly little sails thing first as a warmup and than create Mangey cuz I had a vague idea of what kinda creature I want him to be, but when does art do what you tell it to. mf sprung to life and now he looks like, that.

Some tiny design notes, for which I kept the lineart around, since I feel like the color washed out some finer details.

He is indeed skin and bone and a lot, and I mean a lot of fluff to hide that, cuz I though it would be a cul contrast. And he's not wearing and eyepatch, it's just that he also got a few slashes with a spear to the face(for different reasons that Horror did.) As such he's missing both his right eye and left ear, his food can get a little... feisty. The axe is something he made himself as retaliation and yes, it has a serated edge on both sides. And bandages cuz I didn't feel like drawing his gloves lmao

Also!! Like any normal person, I did wonder just how bad would it get, if it could get that bad in the jungle, who would be the one to survive the longest if seemingly the only option for the scavengers was to cannibalize each other. My heart says Mangey because he very much Is a crafty little fox willing to bite and scratch for a single berry.

Although I don't really have a clear answer. First and foremost I think they'd most likely have a last ditch effort to kill Thorn or something before fully turning on each other. If so, then each has their own advantage of either flight, agility or strenght so its really up in the air to who would be the most likely to survive. Buuut Mangey could be smart about it and just snatch them while they're asleep, alas I don't think he really would. He's still baby and would think good fifty times before hurting anybody for real, much less kill and well, eat them. Those were his friends, his family. Prim is tbh more likely to throw her colleagues in the meat grinder I think. So if Mangey was, say, pushed to self defense than perhaps...

Either way he IS going to die from a blood infection if he doesn't clean up that eye soon though!! Yeowch...
