Welcome to the ✨LINKLE UNIVERSE✨ (part 1)

ok so, I’ve decided to design a Linkle for each Link! Just how Warriors has his own Linkle in canon, each Link has a Linkle in their era now! They’re not necessarily related to the boys (though some are), but they ARE all fellow adventurers to our Links :) they exist in parallel, just how warriors and his Linkle do in canon

(Also I gave them Spanish names just because it’s my first language lol nothing deep about it)

Anyway, First Linkles:

Info about each of them under the cut:

Cielo (Sky’s era): Fellow classmate to Sky & Sun in the knight’s academy, she’s older, from pipit’s and karane’s class, hence why she wears the previous year’s female knight’s uniform. As a Linkle, she has terrible sense of direction and crashed into the surface accidentally during the events of Skyward Sword, spends the entire game trying to get back to Skyloft, its completely ignorant to the entire plot of Skyward Sword lmao always misses Sky while he’s in the surface, they never stumble into each other, not even once. Her Loftwing is orange, she wears it’s feathers on her hair.

Capa (Four’s era): Four’s younger cousin, she was present during the tourney when Vaati attacked and turned Dot to stone. Some of Vaati’s magic got her though, making her minish size. Spends the entire plot of minish cap trying to get back to her OG size, is adopted by the minish at some point. She does meet up with Four eventually while they’re both minish sized and they point at each other like that one image of the spidermans pointing at each other lmao Ezlo restores her back to normal. She likes spending time with Four’s grandpa when Four is away, knows about the colors, too. Red is her fave.

Hada (Time’s era): doesn’t matter the timeline, she is always a member of Lullaby’s personal royal guard. Stoic, cold, super serious and super professional girl. Besties with Impa. Has met Time before, knows him as the farmer dude who’s somehow friends with the princess and is a competent fellow (retired) knight. She can’t relate though, she’d rather die than retire and live in a farm lmao she lost her eye to a lizalfos, the thing clawed it out, she shows her scars as a badge of honor. Time’s armor is similar to the fierce deity’s, while Hada’s armor resembles the hero’s shade (: despite not growing up in the forest like Time, she has a great affinity for fairies, they flock to her when she’s near.

also, the translation of their names is

Cielo = Sky

Capa = Cape

Hada = Fairy

Side note: "windigos" are creatures in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic (FiM) and I am using them here, but I am changing the name to frost spirits and changing some of their behavior, they look the same.

Design Notes:

SQH has ink stains on his mouth because non magic users write like that. He was a unicorn pre-transmigration and mourns his loss of unicorn magic and technology regularly. The world he transmigrated from is like the far future of FiM, with modern technology and the internet. (not the latest gen, I honestly remember jackshit about the lore in that movie...)

I've seen Earth pony SQH and I get the appeal. But here me out: Pony maigu ridge needs Qinghua to fly! And he's literally a flight risk!

His cutie mark is a brush and a paper airplane, because its his pen name (get it?). PIDW (mlp ver) has a level of technology more similar to SVSSS, but instead of flying swords there's trains. Im taking away xianxia flying swords and giving you trains. Ponies on swords just look too silly! they'd be unstable! (not that this whole AU isnt very silly >w<)

The Northern Kingdom in this au would be the Crystal Empire equivalent, except there is no crystal heart. The Northern desert is kept in a perpetual blizzard by the frost spirits (there is a barrier against storms around the capital created by the northern kings, redone as part of the ascension ritual but otherwise free standing) Instead of love and light protecting the kingdom, the crystal ponies use the power of incredible violence to keep the umbrums at bay.

Additionally, the crystal ponies of PIDW (mlp ver) are physically stronger, have higher base levels of magic, and are generally more cold resistant, due to living near the frost spirits for so long. They are still flesh creatures; the crystal skin is more of a replacement for their coat rather than the skin itself. Crystal ponies are also hypercarnivores, whilst regular ponies are omnivores (this isn't FiM also the horses are magic. they have basically human diets)

I also couldn't decide on a coat color for MBJ so there's two versions. I'm leaning towards the white fur for contrast reasons. And yes, I Did forget to render the crystal part of crystal pony on MBJ, thank you for noticing (lmao)

MBJ's cutiemark is the flag for the crystal empire, because he's part crystal pony, he still has a cutiemark, but all direct descendants have the same cutie mark after they absorb their ancestors power. Before this, they do not have cutiemarks, and gaining a different cutiemark means the frost spirits didn't acknowledge them as a potential decendant, and they can no longer become king.

Pre-Asension Mobei-Jun:

In PIDW (mlp ver) MBJ is a crystal pony decendant of the frost spirits which keep the Northern Desert perpetually cold. They gave the first northern king their power in the war against the umbrums (the things that made King Sombra in FiM). There's no friendship fire to chase away the frost spirits because this is PIDW (mlp ver) it's a stallion novel (pun intended); Instead, the frost spirits are sated by the constant war. There was an umbrum unicorn created to infiltrate the Crystal Empire like in FiM but they just became a regular pony instead of trying to take over and basically just created a new clan of ponies with shadow powers. MBJ's mother was part of this clan, and the abyssal shadow pony ancestry cobined with his frost spirit ancenstry gives him the ability to shadow step/ teleport through the shadows.

MBJ didn't get his pretty hair until he absorbed his ansestors power, which works similar to SVSSS canon. The previous northern kings die and pass on their power to the next generation because they are technically still frost spirits, and not really alive in the same way that regular ponies are.

SQH in an MLP style coat:

Ponies in FiM don't really... wear pants, even when it's cold. In Airplane's world they definately wore pants, and SQH will never go back (like the opposite of SVSSS LOL). In PIDW (mlp ver) ponies don't wear pants for bad porn reasons, Airplane justifies this by pulling the history card (peerless cucumber is not impressed)

Also! you can see SQH's mane better because its profile view, he's not a crystal pony, but he wheres the crystal pony hair bands as an homage to a bun without me actually having to give him one. Because ponies have ears on their head it always feels to me that a bun takes up too much visual space, thus, fancy hair bands.

Moshang flirting:

SQH can dish out flattery all day but he absolutely does Not know what to do when MBJ returns the favour (lol)

Alicorn Shang Qinghua:

In PIDW (mlp ver) I like to imagine that Airplane cut out alicorns because acending through nice things like friendship and love did not fit the vibe. Alicorns were instead like, the old gods who controled elemental stuff, like Celestia and Luna (renamed in PIDW (mlp ver)). Ponies don't control the weather or sun and moon and have less inate magic (earth pony magic, pegasus magic, and unicorn magic), instead, all the alicorns dispersed into spiritual energy that controls the elements and weather and stuff. Ponies cultivate this spiritual energy to gain a golden core of their inate energy, and eventually immortality, but they don't get the trappings of an alicorn.

So, like there aren't really any gods in SVSSS, there aren't any (living) alicorns in PIDW (mlp ver) they're more like myths than anything, and reside in the heavenly realm. I won't be getting into this AUs binghe/ heavenly demon equivalent because this is a moshang post, but Heavenly Demons are changling royalty, which have their FiM powerset on steroids and are sort of corrupted alicorns.

So alicorn SQH is bascially this AUs equivalent of God!SQH. It's not nessisarily canon to the AU but this mostly exists for me and I really like God!SQH so it basically is. Schrödinger's canon.

i dont think this ship is problematic in of itself cause like, both are older consenting adults in positions of power so theres no imbalance or predatory behavior or anything like that. but tbh i dont get the squirrelstar x leafstar shippers if only because of the jumpscare i get from seeing “i 💜 leafsquirrel!” along with a pic of the two of them when leafstar and leafpool have very similar designs. like again i KNOW theres nothing really wrong with them canonically, but i would always just be too paranoid over the elephant in the room

this is Ki'ita btw, also an older doodle and i dont like how i made their cloak look so im using this basic design version instead (she does wear a big cloak and pants usually lol)

kinda want to redo this as well but its still mostly accurate; they're a good chunk taller than the captain, loud and love to eat, not just bc she just likes it but also bc they have to keep a certain weight if they want to survive the cold waters she spends most her time in as mentioned before whenever they ARE around theres always some big feast happening and if you only knew her from that you'd think shes super extroverted and loves to be around people, which is true .. as long as its for a few days every few months or so, they need their time alone so she doesnt mind being away for so long, they tend to return when they either gathered important information that needs to be passed on immediately, they ran into a problem they need to discuss with the captain or .. if she misses the others too much, they dont admit that tho

when asked why shes so tall when orca types arent usually that big she always says they're two people combined bc they ate their twin before she was born, it always shuts up whoever asked that and she finds the look on their face to be the funniest thing in the world .. noone knows if shes telling the truth or just made it up

(the captain had her daughter shortly after founding the pirate group, which only had her and Ki'ita as members at first, however Ki'ita is not the other parent, asking who it is is considered taboo and if it does come up the captain loudly proclaims she wishes nothign but death upon them among other various acts of violence, giving the impression that whoever the other parent is, their relationship was far from good; that however does not affect her love for her daughter)

the captain and Ki'ita are both middle aged but neither say nor care what the exact count is

most of the pirates, including these two, are not demons but a different humanoid species that is usually classified as mutants, hundreds of years ago children born in villages or cities around the coasts had the chance of being born a mutant like this and the popular belief was that its some sort of demonic curse and the majority were rejected from society, they have since built a smaller secure society hidden from the majority of the general population, the pirates are the most openly out and about which makes them disliked by all sides, humans might be afraid, hunters may target them mistaking them for demons and the other mutants themselves are afraid it might attract too much attention and endanger them all

unlike demons, mutants are native to the human realm and have more typical animal characteristics of sea creatures also found there, they cannot shapeshift and have only rarely a minimal ability to influence the elements around them similar to how some humans can and do not posess any kind of ability to heal themselves as quickly as demons can, tho some may have some advantages from the type of animal they took after

art isnt working well atm but i tried to doodle a rough possible redesign for an old OC, she used to have a name but i think im just gonna call her "The Captain" from now on

she leads a group of pirates that frequently rescues/frees demons that had been captured by hunters, she and the co-founder (Ki'ita) of the group also invented a form of solar powered sailboat that lets them carry out missions noone else can

she has an adult daughter whos in charge of the diver specialists while the captain herself and Ki'ita are the main agressors when a mission calls for the sinking of ships or similar ... that is if Ki'ita is around, which she usually isnt bc she mainly does solo missions in arctic waters and can be gone for months, returning only for a big feast and information exchange/replanning, leaving again after 1 or 2 days, so the captain does most of the visible work

the captain isnt fond of Ki'ita being so absent but also knows how important her work is, the two are rather close but only show so in private
