Research Log #P5-00436
FACILITY: [REDACTED] DATE: [REDACTED] CASE: #E2756895 ATTENDING: [REDACTED] UNIT: WARD 92 OBJECTIVE: Behavioral Compliance Induction
TIME: [09:45:00]
SUBJECT #1138-B7 was brought to the operating theater, prepped and draped in the usual fashion. Intravenous access was established using a 20-gauge catheter inserted into the left antecubital vein. Electrodes were placed on the scalp for continuous EEG monitoring. Additional sensors were attached to record heart rate, respiratory rate, and galvanic skin response (GSR).
Subject presents as a 25 year old male, physically healthy, baseline vitals recorded WNL. Subject exhibited signs of anxiety and resistance, which were managed by the use of sedatives (2 mg Midazolam IV).
[09:53:11]: Subject questioned to establish baseline cognitive and physiological parameters. Orientation, recall, and basic comprehension intact.
[10:00:00]: Infusion of proprietary psychotropic agent PCA-35 initiated at a rate of 5 mL/min.
[10:03:48]: Subject displays signs of restlessness. Cortical activation indicated by increased uptake on EEG. Subject gives responses to verbal stimuli and reports a sensation of lightheadedness.
[10:04:25]: Subject complains of stinging sensation and bittersweet taste. Noted slight tremor in extremities and increased heart rate. GSR indicates heightened anxiety.
[10:05:13]: Subject questioned to establish cognitive and physiological parameters. Noted delayed responses. Subject struggles to follow simple instructions, becomes distracted, provides incoherent explanations of surroundings, misinterprets questions.
[10:09:32]: Subject begins to exhibit signs of altered perception, including auditory hallucinations and delirium. EEG shows increased theta wave activity. Physical agitation observed; restraints effective in maintaining Subject's position. Subject too agitated for cognitive and physiological testing.
[10:14:45]: Administration of compound #GS-P5R initiated at 12 L/min via inhalation mask to reduce anxiety and stabilize neural response. Infusion of PCA-35 increased to 7.5 mL/min.
[10:19:48]: Subject's responses to verbal and physical stimuli decrease significantly. Continued monitoring shows stable vitals but increased physical rigidity. Administered 1 mg Lorazepam IV to reduce muscle tension.
[10:24:22]: Subject’s speech becomes slurred and incoherent. Noted disorientation to stimuli, increased muscle laxity. Decrease in heart rate and blood pressure.
[10:33:14]: Subject enters a semi-catatonic state. Eyes remain open but unresponsive to visual stimuli. Pupils equal but dilated. EEG shows dominant delta wave activity.
[10:42:28]: Subject displays signs of decreased neural responsiveness. Decreased pupillary reaction, continued slow rolling movement of the eyes, jerky movement of the whole body (hypnic jerks). Persistent drooling noted.
[10:45:04]: Infusion of PCA-13 reduced to 1 mL/min. Administration of compound #GS-P5R reduced to 2 L/min via nasal cannula.
[10:50:34]: Subject engaged with repetitive commands in accordance to Behavioral Compliance Protocols. Verbal cues, electronic conditioning, and multi-sensory stimuli reinforcement prove ineffective. Subject remains largely non-reactive.
[10:57:55]: Subject’s eyes remain unfocused with significant drooping. Attempts to direct gaze result in brief eye opening, followed by rapid drooping. Subject mumbles incoherently.
[10:58:06]: Speculum applied to maintain eyelid retraction for continuous observation and responsiveness testing. Subject demonstrates minimal resistance; remains in stuporous state. Droplets of propriety psychotic #3A administered to each eye. Immediate increase in pupil dilation and noticeable twitching observed.
[11:00:17]: Visual stimulus presented. Subject's eyes remain fixed and extremely dilated. Noted tremors in hands, erratic breathing patterns, increase in heart rate. Subject occasionally mumbles with extreme delay in response latency to verbal and physical testing.
[11:05:23]: Subject engaged with repetitive commands in accordance to Behavioral Compliance Protocols. Verbal cues, electronic conditioning, and multi-sensory stimuli reinforcement prove insignificant. Subject displays significant cognitive impairment, involuntary reflexes, significant drooling, and uncoordinated movements.
[11:10:19]: Increased auditory and visual stimuli introduced to enhance command comprehension of Behavioral Compliance Protocols. Subject displays signs of severe neural suppression. EEG findings variable and nonspecific, low voltage and slow irregular activity nonreactive to sensory stimuli.
[11:15:52]: Subject engaged with high-intensity visual stimuli (rapid flashing) and continuous auditory commands. Subject shows brief eye fixation on visual stimulus, with occasional facial twitching. Overall response is characterized by slow, inconsistent movements and frequent confusion. Subject’s attempts to respond are sporadic, sluggish, and incoherent.
[11:20:14]: Administered low-frequency auditory tones and ambient lighting. Subject displays intermittent eye tracking and reflexive vocalizations. Eyes lubricated to prevent irritation; speculum remains in place. Despite the high level of impairment, occasional partial compliance with commands noted.
[11:30:31]: Subject provided with 500 mL saline IV to maintain hydration. Subject engaged with repetitive commands in accordance to Compliance Protocols. Verbal cues, electronic conditioning, and multi-sensory stimuli reinforcement prove moderately effective as demonstrated by increased uptake seen on EEG. Noted severe motor function impairment, persistent drooling, disorientation.
[11:37:48]: Visual and auditory stimuli calibrated to induce deep trance state in preparation for Hypnotic Compliance Protocols. Subject's head and neck stabilized to ensure alignment with visual stimuli. Monitored vital signs remain stable but indicate persistent sedation effects. Subject remains largely unresponsive, exhibiting only involuntary reflexes and intense eye fixation on visual stimulus.
[12:00:00]: End of Behavioral Compliance Induction log. Subject's transition to hypnotic phase officially logged and observed.

Finally we’ve got the season two AUs!
🧜‍♂️🧜‍♂️🧜‍♂️🧜‍♂️🧜‍♂️🧜‍♂️🧜‍♂️🧜‍♂️🧜‍♂️🧜‍♂️🧜‍♂️🧜‍♂️🧜‍♂️🧜‍♂️🧜‍♂️🧜‍♂️🧜‍♂️🧜‍♂️🧜‍♂️🧜‍♂️🧜‍♂️🧜‍♂️🧜‍♂️🧜‍♂️🧜‍♂️🧜‍♂️🧜‍♂️🧜‍♂️ (this one is so much fun!! First of all I was so completely entertained with Buck and Eddie misunderstanding each other. It was so funny! Also loving reading about trans-Eddie and his backstory! It works really well as an exploration of his character and I’m really enjoying it. And mermaid Buck who just was reminded of the word merman 😂 Love me some unexplained plot-developing magic and can’t wait to see this one play out!)
🔼🔼🔼🔼🔼🔼🔼🔼🔼🔼🔼🔼🔼🔼🔼🔼🔼🔼🔼🔼🔼🔼 (okay I know this one is technically very much in season three territory but it all stems from an AU season two so I’m counting it :p So excited to meet baby Jane!! And loving that established Buddie and can’t wait to see everything play out with Shannon!)
🧟🧟🧟🧟🧟🧟🧟🧟🧟🧟🧟🧟🧟🧟🧟🧟🧟🧟🧟🧟🧟🧟🧟🧟🧟🧟(lol it took me a bit to remember that this one is also technically an AU of season two because of just how alternate that universe is. I can’t believe this one’s almost done! I’ve absolutely adored it! Such a wonderful fire fam story that I’ve loved so much! Very excited to see it all wrapped up in the epilogue!)
I hope you have fun writing Cal! I’ll definitely be having fun reading!

Eddie can tell this is sort of a sore subject for Buck, and changes topic.
“So what are you looking for?” Eddie asks.
“I’m not too picky,” Buck shrugs. “Just not further away from the ocean than I already am. And, uh… I don’t know. Something between the fire station and you would be nice.”
“Between the fire station and me?” Eddie asks.
“Yeah,” Buck shrugs, cheeks heating a little. “I mean, I’m sort of here all the time, anyway. Might as well cut down the commute.”
Eddie smiles. “Okay, then. Let’s narrow down the search range.”
A bit later, Buck brings them each a coffee from the kitchen, sleeve riding up on his wrist as he hands a mug to Eddie. Eddie looks at the clear skin of his arm, curious. Fair enough. There had been a lot of bruising and scratches there yesterday. The result of trying to rescue a terrified dog from a house fire.
“Went for a swim last night,” Buck says, shrugging.
“And it healed you?” Eddie asks. “Just like that?”
“Yeah,” Buck shrugs. “It always erases minor stuff. Haven’t encountered anything bigger though, so I don’t know how far it goes.”
“That’s pretty sick,” Eddie admits.
“Doesn’t work on a hangover,” Buck grumbles.
“Maybe the ocean knew you deserved it,” Eddie laughs.
Hell, maybe it did.
🌊
A few weeks later, Buck is moving into a ground floor unit in a building between work and Eddie. A bit closer to Eddie, just based on pricing. There were two units available in the building. The second floor walk up was a bit cheaper - not hugely, but enough to consider it - but when Buck thinks about who really comes over, beyond his sister, it’ll be Eddie and Chris. And the ground floor would be way easier for Chris. So that’s what he chose.
He doesn’t tell Eddie this. Just makes the decision. But the first day he’s moved in, with proper furniture that he actually owns, he has them over for pizza and video games, and he knows he’s made the right choice.
Unfortunately, he doesn’t get to enjoy the new apartment for very long. Sooner rather than later, the world sort of ends. There’s a bank heist, which the 118 is framed for. Buck is terrified, being a suspect. Dragged down for interrogation. What if they do some sort of test on him that reveals what he is? Eddie looks sort of sick too. Probably not for dissimilar reasons. Just wildly different results.
The 118 is cleared. But Bobby is not. Or at least, he’s cleared of the robbery, but he’s still under suspicion. The LAFD is looking into his past. Poking around at all his trauma; the loss of his family, rehab, all of it. Buck doesn’t think it’s fair. Doesn’t think it’s any of their business.
Apparently it is.
Bobby is put on suspension pending the results of the inquest. Chimney is made acting captain. And it all sort of overlaps with a disaster. Or, rather, many repeated disasters. Serial disasters. A package bomber. The city is sort of in collective panic.
Buck is concerned, of course. But not really about anyone he knows. Not at first. At first, the people being targeted seem to be all too wealthy for him or the people he loves to fit the pattern. A judge, an attorney, etcetera. But then a package is discovered at Athena’s house, and even though no one is hurt, Buck can’t help but feel sick about it. Her son discovered it; her child. Bobby could have been there. Bobby. The thought of Bobby being hurt makes him want to writhe. Stresses him so badly he can feel the phantom sensation of scales running up his spine. He knows Bobby is fine. That he wasn’t even there. But he still feels physically ill.
He doesn’t have long to feel sick about it, though. He doesn’t have long to feel anything but panic and pain for very long. Because the next victim of the package bomber, as it turns out, is him.
---
57for 🔼 (It definitely started in S2 so you're right! And yay! Thank you!!!)
---
That makes him freak out. Or at least the possibility of missing it. Not that Buck can blame him. She’s not even Buck’s kid and he sort of feels like if he wasn’t trying to keep Eddie calm, he’d be freaking out a tiny bit, too.
It’s not all bad freaking out. Some of it is positive. He’s a bit like a yoyo.
“We’re really going to meet her,” Eddie says, excitedly to start. “She’s really going to be here.”
“She is,” Buck grins in response.
A few minutes later, as traffic seems to plunge into doom territory, Eddie is filled with despair.
“I made it home from Afghanistan to be there when Chris was born,” he laments. “Afghanistan, Buck! That’s three continents of travel. I had a half day layover in Germany. I still made it home in time. But now I won’t make it across town for Jane?”
Oh boy.
“Eddie, you’ll make it in time,” Buck promises, willing himself to be right. “You’ll definitely make it. I will turn on the siren, I swear.”
“That’s technically not allowed, Buck, I-”
“I’m the one driving,” Buck shrugs, and turns it on.
Immediately, cars start moving out of the way.
“Okay,” Eddie sighs, fitting a headset over his ears. “Alright, good idea.”
“Told you I got you,” Buck smiles.
“I feel like I’m going to puke,” Eddie admits.
“Well, don’t do that. It’ll delay us,” Buck teases.
Eddie just groans.
◀️
Shannon really can’t believe Eddie is going to miss this. If she wasn’t currently experiencing active labor - a much more active labor than her previous experience - she might not be so pissed about it. She understands he was out there, on a call, saving people. Which is good. She won’t die without him, but the people out there in accidents sure might. Whatever. But he should be here. He promised he’d be here every step of the way, and this is a pretty big step. Also, he did this to her. He should at least be here to have his hand crushed and to be snapped at.
“He’s on his way, okay?” Maddie promises. “He’s rushing over.”
Not fast enough.
Not fast enough, because the last time she was checked out, she was told she’s almost ready to start pushing. And even though last time she was told she could start pushing, it took hours and ended in forceps, she’s been assured this is progressing fast and easy. There is nothing easy about it, thank you. But she believes the fast part. She can already just tell, compared to Chris. Their daughter is eager to make an entrance. Which is fine with Shannon. It’s the opposite of what she’d feared.
She just needs Eddie to be here for it.
Shannon’s worried. She’s sad at the prospect of him missing it, mostly for him. But she’s also in a lot of pain, which turns all that to frustration.
“If he’s not here,” she tells Maddie. “I’ll kill him.”
---
66 for 🧟 (THANK YOU! I am very excited to wrap it up)
---
It wakes her, but slowly. Sunlight warms her face. The other thing warming her is Chimney. He draped over her middle. His chest against her back. She feels completely at ease, right here.
Sometimes Maddie has a habit of gaslighting herself a little. Her brain intrusively suggests she shouldn’t trust her instincts. That they were her problem to begin with; the reason she got hurt. That if she’d been smarter, she would have avoided it. And maybe she’s not being smart now. She’d thought that when she got in the truck with Eddie. She thought that when she started getting closer to Chimney. She’s fighting off thinking about it today. It’s just not true. Every decision she has made has kept her alive.
When the sun eventually wakes Chimney, too, she feels him take a deep breath, then lean forward to kiss the back of her head. She smiles, pleased.
“Good morning,” she says quietly.
“Yeah,” Chim replies. “A really good one.”
Maddie’s smile widens. There’s a lot to like about Chimney. So much. But one of the things she thinks she appreciates most is how he makes her feel good without being overly complimentary. None of it feels like attempted flattery, or trying to butter her up. He’s completely just sincere with her, in whatever he says. Another reason to trust him. She can recognize now how a lifetime of her parents’ criticism left her vulnerable to Doug piling on empty compliments. How that led to a frantic need to please him again when they went away.
Maddie is stronger than that now. She survived the outbreak. She escaped the husband who would have kept her trapped in hell, and then killed him when he would have killed her. She made it across the country, found her brother. She learned how to survive, how to fight against threats she would have never expected a year ago. She helped make bombs to defend against a home she would have never expected, either.
So Maddie feels safe now, more often than not. Even when her brain tries to fight her on it. Even when she’s scared. She’s safe.
She rolls over in bed and looks at Chim. He takes a deep breath.
“Hi,” he mutters.
“Hi,” she replies. “Thank you.”
He gives her a funny, confused smile.
“For what?”
She shrugs a little. “I don’t know. For being here when I showed up?”
His cheeks redden a little. “Well, uh… Thank you for showing up.”
She laughs brightly. “Anytime.”
And when Chim kisses her again, something inside Maddie just feels entirely, perfectly settled.
October 11th, 2018
They’d expected Shannon and Taylor to come back around this time. They’d said monthly visits for Shannon and Chris at a minimum. More if they could help it. And Shannon wasn’t going to travel alone. Not while Taylor was around. Hen still wonders if Shannon knows Taylor is in love with her.
What they’re not expecting is for Shannon and Taylor to show up with a child. A child that wasn’t mentioned last time. A little girl.

Here's how the Zoey 102 movie is gonna go. I would literally bet money on this.
Quinn and Logan are super rich and successful/possibly famous in some way. Because, I mean, his money? Her brains? They were bound to be! Anyway, because of this Logan proposes to Quinn publicly and they're expected to have this over the top wedding (complete with multiple events, statues that get destroyed by Zoey's "boyfriend" with that car, and headsets for some reason?).
So Quinn asks Zoey to be her maid of honor and Zoey accepts, but she's worried about all of the events because Chase will be there. To prepare for this, she hires an actor to play her boyfriend. Chase is also nervous, so he also hires someone to play his girlfriend. Because duh! If Zoey's nervous, then Chase must be crawling out of his skin!
Anyway, everyone from PCA gets together and has a good time. They remember old days and what not. Stacy and Mark are together for some reason. (Guess they hooked up at Prom after he hit her with Michael's car?) In doing all of this, Quinn starts to realize that she misses being this way. She wants to be more down to earth, less lavish. And of course she will wait until the day of her wedding to do anything about it!
This also gives Chase and Zoey plenty of time to exchange longing looks.
So we get to the wedding. It's ass. Quinn leaves, not because she doesn't love Logan, but because she doesn't like the theatrics. I don't think Zoey and Chase will decide to use the venue for themselves Mamma Mia style (maybe Mark and Stacy will bc fuck a marriage license ig?💀) since we see them talking at the beach after, but I do think this will give them more time to reflect and decide to get together. I also think this is when they will reveal that they both had the same fake partner plan.
After Quinn leaves, Logan decides to propose to her again but in a way that is much more toned down. Only close friends are there this time around. I believe there are two proposals because 1. Zoey found out about their engagement over the phone. How could she been there, standing behind Quinn, if there aren't two separate proposals? 2. Logan is holding a tie in his hand when he proposes. Throughout the entirety of the trailer, he wears a suit and tie (even at the bar. Bleh!). Taking the tie off to propose is symbolic. It's him trying to meet Quinn where she's at.
As you can see in the trailer, Quinn says yes. They actually get married, everyone dances, and they live happily ever after. THE END.

PAIRING: Alec x Magnus
WORD COUNT: 784
RATING: PG
POTENTIAL TRIGGERS: N/A
SUMMARY: What would become the true love story of their lives began the day Alec and Magnus met - moving day before the new semester at the New York Institute campus.
TAGLIST: @no1likemybbgcharlie
♢♦♢♦♢♦♢♦♢♦♢♦♢♦♢♦♢♦♢♦♢♦♢♦♢♦♢♦♢♦
Freshman year for his sister meant that Alec was expecting a new roommate. The roommate he'd had the last two years - a fairly handsome man named Underhill - had graduated early and left Alec feeling oddly lonely despite not being very social. He supposed it helped that Underhill had been like him, but hadn't pushed for a relationship or anything. The male was a really good friend to Alec, like an older brother, so now a sophomore, Alec was hoping he could be as helpful to whomever walked in the door as his new roommate. Isabelle, darling sister that she was, kept insisting she would be his roommate, but Alec knew the odds were unlikely. The university tried to make siblings grow on their own and believed that pairing them up would hinder that. So he wasn't at all surprised when he got a call from an irritated Isabelle, which lasted until she discovered her roommate was a freshman named Clary, and Alec could hear the friendship develop instantly over the phone. He had laughed and promised he would help her unpack as soon as his own roommate arrived, and his baby sister was quick to hang up.
He went to make himself some tea, setting it down before picking up his Gibson TG-1, his favorite acoustic for the rich sound, and began fiddling with tuning it so he could work on a new video. He was tuning his guitar when there was a knock on the door. Carefully setting the instrument on the couch next to him, Alec stood and moved to open the door -
And had to catch his breath.
The man standing on the other side of the door was just a few inches shorter than him, with caramel skin, dark eyes accented by a blue glittery eyeshadow, hair done in a mohawk while a black and silver messenger bag hung across his body. It was beautiful and intriguing and Alec was sure his heart had stopped until the man spoke.
“Hello. I'm sorry if I interrupted anything.” the male finally greeted, having been momentarily stunned himself at the contrast of dark hair, blue eyes and pale skin.
Alec snapped from his reverie at the sound, and the music major wanted to faint because no voice should sound that damn good. “Not at all. You didn't have to knock, though. I thought the admin office still gave out keys?” He replied inquisitively, stepping aside to let the other inside.
“Yeah, well, my last uni was, uhm...active. A lot. Or at least my loftmates were.” The roommate said as he set his bag down behind the couch, turning to look at Alec and offer his hand. “I'm Magnus, by the way. Transferred in from PCA in France.”
“France?” Alec asked before a faint blush colored his cheeks and he shook Magnus’ hand. “Oh, uh, I'm Alec.”
“Oui.” Magnus said with a grin. “I was there to get an adventure. When I finished most of my courses, I decided to come back to the States.” he explained. “The dorms here are quite large.”
“Large and soundproof.” ALec agreed. “Unless the students in this hall are just not getting any.” He crossed his arms a little and laughed with Magnus, looking around. “Uh, do you want a quick tour?”
“Sure,” Dark eyes returned to Alec from where he’d been looking at the guitar propped on the couch. He followed Alec around the couch and to the kitchen area.
“So the kitchen we have to keep stocked. My sister and I split our tips from work and keep each other fed, but our father sends money once a month out of some obligation his friends have guilted him into. Our mom sends care packages, so if there’s something you’d like, I’m sure she wouldn’t mind adding it.” he shrugged, pointing to their right as they faced the living area. “Laundry room and guest bathroom are that way, our rooms are on the other side.” He explained, leading the way. “Both of us have our own bathrooms, walk in closets, and the office area is the one at the end of the hall.” he pointed at the doors across from each other and then the one at the end of the hall as he spoke.
“The university pays to furnish all this?” Magnus inquired, sounding impressed.
“Most of it. If you decide to get your own furniture, you can have campus officials pull out the originals. It’s what I did.” Alec answered, smiling. “Do you need help with your stuff?”
Magnus gave a smile and nodded as he went to set his bag in the bed in his room. “That would be great, Alec. Thank you.”

Achieving a Radiant Complexion: A Simple Nighttime Skincare Regimen
In our fast-paced lives, it's easy to overlook the significance of a proper nighttime skincare routine. However, dedicating a few minutes before bedtime can make a world of difference in achieving healthy, glowing skin. Let's delve into a straightforward nighttime skincare routine that will leave you feeling pampered and your skin revitalized!
Tumblr media
Cleanse: The First Step to Radiance
The foundation of any effective skincare routine is cleansing. Before heading to bed, ensure your face is free from makeup, dirt, and pollutants that have accumulated throughout the day. Opt for a gentle cleanser suitable for your skin type. Gently massage it onto your face using circular motions, focusing on areas prone to oiliness or dryness. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water to preserve essential oils.
Recommendations:
Aprilskin Carrotene IPMP™ Hydromelt Cleansing Balm
JUNO & Co. Clean 10 Cleansing Balm 10 Ingredients Makeup Remover
La Roche-Posay Toleriane Purifying Foaming Facial Cleanser
Exfoliate: Unveiling a Fresh Canvas
Exfoliation is essential but limit it to 2-3 times a week to avoid overdoing it. A gentle exfoliant will remove dead skin cells, unclog pores, and enhance the absorption of your skincare products. Look for products with natural exfoliants like jojoba beads or alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs).
Recommendations:
SkinMedica AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser
Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant - Exfoliator
Paulas Choice--SKIN PERFECTING 2% BHA Liquid Salicylic Acid Exfoliant
Tone: Balancing the pH
After cleansing and exfoliating, toning comes into play. A toner helps balance the skin's pH levels and prepares it for better absorption of serums and moisturizers. Choose alcohol-free toners with soothing ingredients like rose water, chamomile, or witch hazel.
Recommendations:
PCA SKIN Nutrient Face Toner
THAYERS Alcohol-Free, Hydrating Lavender Witch Hazel Facial Toner
SOME BY MI AHA BHA PHA 30 Days Miracle Toner
Serum: Targeted Treatments
Serums are packed with potent ingredients that target specific skin concerns. Whether it's fine lines, hyperpigmentation, or dehydration, serums offer a concentrated boost of active ingredients. Gently apply a small amount to your face and neck, letting the serum work its magic overnight.
Recommendations:
COSRX Snail Mucin 96% Power Repairing Essence
Paula's Choice CLINICAL 1% Retinol Treatment
Derma ProGenix Advanced Anti-Aging Skin Care Serum
Eye Cream: Soothing and Refreshing
The delicate skin around the eyes requires special attention. Apply a nourishing eye cream to help reduce puffiness, dark circles, and fine lines. Use your ring finger to dab a pea-sized amount around the orbital bone gently.
Recommendations:
IMAGE Skincare, VITAL C Hydrating Eye Recovery Gel
Dongyu 5% Caffeine Eye Serum and Under Eye Roller Cream
QOI Dark Circle Eliminator
Hydrate: Locking in Moisture
Moisturizing is crucial to keep your skin hydrated and plump. Select a night cream or moisturizer that suits your skin type, whether it's gel-based for oily skin or thicker for dry skin. Massage it into your skin using upward strokes to promote better circulation.
Recommendations:
COSRX Snail Mucin 92% Moisturizer
Dermalogica Intensive Moisture Balance
PCA SKIN Collagen Hydrator Night Cream
Lip Care: Soft and Supple Lips
Don't forget to show your lips some love! Apply a nourishing lip balm or treatment to keep your lips soft and supple throughout the night.
Recommendation:
LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask
Overnight Mask or Face Oil: Nourishing and Repairing
For an extra boost of nourishment, consider using an overnight mask or face oil. These products provide intense hydration and repair your skin as you sleep, waking up to a fresh and revitalized complexion.
Hands and Feet: Extending Skincare Love
If you have a few extra minutes, pamper your hands and feet as well. Moisturize them with a rich cream and put on cotton gloves and socks before sleep, allowing the products to deeply penetrate and hydrate the skin.
Recommendations:
Paula's Choice Radiance Renewal Night Mask
LANEIGE Water Sleeping Mask
Beauty Sleep: The Ultimate Secret
Finally, the most essential part of any nighttime skincare routine is a good night's sleep. Aim for 7-9 hours of uninterrupted rest to give your skin and body the time they need to repair and rejuvenate.
Remember, Consistency is Key!
The true magic of any skincare routine lies in consistency. Don't expect overnight miracles; instead, practice this easy nighttime skincare routine regularly and patiently, and you'll soon notice a radiant and healthy complexion that makes the effort entirely worthwhile.
So, go ahead and treat yourself to a little nightly skincare ritual – your skin will thank you for it!
P.S Highlighted are my personal favs

Georgia and Burgundy love to play pranks on each other, this includes pushing each other into bodies of water fully clothed.
One day while on a camping trip, Burgundy was sitting by a pond while her dewott played in the water. Keep in mind that she was wearing her canon clothing. Unfortunately for her, Georgia felt mischievous and decided to play a "little" prank on her frenemy. She tiptoed over to Burgundy and gave her a hard shove. Burgundy squealed as she toppled into the pond which was quite deep and not shallow like a lot of ponds so Burgundy was completely submerged into the muddy and scummy water. When she resurfaced, she was sputtering and spitting out the dirty pond water. She was also swearing french curse words at Georgia who just laughed at her displeasure. When Burgundy came out of the pond, Her beautiful curly purple hair was now messy, tangled with leaves, and sopping wet. Her clothes were not only deeply soaked and clinging to Burgundy's pale skin but they were also slightly muddy and covered in pond scum. She was clearly incredibly grumpy that her fine clothing and hair were now dirty. She looked like a sea monster. Georgia found it hilarious.
"Georgia you imbecile!! Do you have any idea how much this outfit cost!? I payed over 200 pokedollars for it at a specialist shop near the PCA!!"
"Okay sorry I potentially ruined your ugly connaissuese outfit." Georgia replied jokingly and with obvious sarcasm. Burgundy just let out a "hmph" and continued on. After a while, Georgia finally took pity in how grumpy and embarrassed Burgundy was so she wrapped her arms around her still damp body and whispered, "Even if you look like a sea monster, I still and always will love you." In response, Burgundy sighed and returned the embrace, resting her head on Georgia's shoulder. She was still slightly grumpy but the hug from her best friend definitely cheered her up. Also, Burgundy's outfit wasn't ruined, it just had to be washed a couple times to get rid of the pond smell and the mud and scum stains. Even though all worked out well in the end, Burgundy was still going to get her revenge.
A couple weeks later, Georgia and Burgundy were having a picnic by the lake along with Trip. Eventually, Georgia went to stick her feet in the lake and Burgundy knew this was the perfect opportunity for Georgia to pay her recompense. She quietly walked toward Georgia and gave her a hard but painless shove causing Georgia to shriek as she toppled into the lake with a splash. Georgia rushed out of the lake as quickly as she could but her hair and clothes were already sopping wet and we're sticking to her like an extra skin layer.
"Burgundy what was that for?! Now my favorite dress is ruined!!" Burgundy just smirked.
"Well maybe you shouldn't have pushed me into that pond a couple weeks ago. My outfit was almost ruined and I needed it's for my profession you know." Burgundy replied shamelessly. Georgia was right unfortunately, her cute teal flowly sundress which she bought due to Bianca's recommendations was now permanently ruined due to the lake water so Georgia had to toss it. She was devasted and frustrated about the whole thing so Burgundy decided to make her feel better. "Hey, I apologize for ruining your dress but you could always buy a new one", Burgundy suggested.
"I know but it was my favorite summer dress.", Georgia muttered with disappointment. That's when Burgundy decided what she had to do. She went out to a boutique in Castelia City and bought a sundress which was very similar to Georgia's now defiled one. When Georgia saw it, She engulfed Burgundy into a tight embrace and kissed her on the cheek. "Burgundy, you didn't have to do this for me but thank you. You are the best friend ever.", Georgia praised. Burgundy smiled, giggled and hugged Georgia back.
"Bien sûr, anything for my favorite partner in Crime.", she replied.

Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon
Tumblr media
A shell the size of a tanker car screams next to me, the heat and pressure alone enough to shred most of my armor plating. There is a great thunder behind me as it throws up such a fireball into the sky that it eats a helicopter whole. What is ahead of me is “The Wall” - a towering “rebel” fortress, near impenetrable, its defenses bolstered by the behemoth artillery piece that just wiped out any chance of profiting from this exercise within the first fifteen seconds on the ground. I’ve been contracted by BALAM, a corporation heavily investing in natural resource speculation, to “climb the Wall”; to beat the rebels into submission, silence their guns, and leave that killdozer Gustav Schwerer hybrid a sundered wreck. I will fight them all so fiercely, with such exacting precision, that I will almost feel guilty. Each cry of pain, desperate plea, that’s another few thousand c-notes hitting my bank account. It’s just business, after all. If I didn’t take this job, some other merc would.
Tumblr media
This is a game about doing the dirty work nobody else will. It’s about taking a huge fucking paycheck to wipe out the desperate and hopeless prisoners of this barred off tomb-world to clear the way for capitalist exploitation. Your actions on Rubicon 3 are, contrary to what you may be conditioned to think by an economic system that’s all but enslaved you to brutal individualist violence, of truly interstellar importance. A new epoch is about to begin – and you? For two of the endings, you staight up do not give a fuck, and the “third way” will see you standing on the broken and bloodied bodies of everyone who put their trust into you. This game feels like the end times, an inescapable and absolutely crushing sense of impending doom bearing down on you at all times, the total and complete collapse of all order. There is a razor thin line between somewhat ordered anarcho-capitalism and desperate turmoil constantly being walked.
Missions take the form of contracts, freelance gigs passed to you through the enigmatic “Handler Walter”, where your on the job performance determines your payout or penalty, depending(One criticism I have is that my finances were never in a truly desperate state in Armored Core VI, probably because you can replay missions at any time to earn some extra cash). You’ll be hit with a video briefing outlining the job request, intel on enemy positions and equipment, and some potential risks. Often, missions are simple affairs, “destroy this” and “activate that”, but when they go wildly off course, like when the PCA begins to invade Rubicon during a routine intel gathering mission, forcing you to stare down a battleship and it’s mecha escorts, that’s where Armored Core VI’s structure really shines. More often than not, you’ll get absolutely beasted on by whatever surprises Armored Core VI has in store, but in those moments where you fight back with all your might and win – that’s prime mecha right there. Facing down overwhelming odds and coming out on top by the skin of your teeth. When I stood amidst the flaming wreckage of foes I had never seen before, only a few hundred health points left and completely bereft of ammo, that’s when I was like “oh they get it”. The mechanics and structure synthesize in such a way that, to invoke a classic games writing cliche, makes you feel like Char Aznable. To some, that sentence won’t even register, but to those who know, it will mean everything.
Tumblr media
Mechanized warfare is fast like lightning and loud like thunder. Build depending, mechs will either shriek or roar as nuclear thrusters send them hurtling towards each other, clashing in a dizzying acrobatic whirlwind where the visuals ascend from realism into impressions. Your unfocused eyes adhere to monocolor silhouettes, calculating movement, trajectory, angles of attack – It’s in these moments where Armored Core VI’s visuals truly ascend, the cold realism disappears in this haze of light and fire and everything becomes a kind of industrial impressionism.  To fully take in every movement of your foe is an outright impossibility, so you enter a sort of high blood pressure fugue state where everything melts away except you and the enemy. With four weapons (one in each hand, two on your shoulders) on your AC, each with unique damage and stagger properties, firing stances, accuracy values, and ideal ranges, Armored Core VI frequently becomes overwhelming in the best way possible. And god, the movement. After boosting, your AC skates across the ground Armored Trooper VOTOMS style, kicking up an inferno of sparks and shrapnel. Adjusting your course in one direction has your AC lean into the turn like it’s on roller skates, igniting peripheral thrusters on the opposite side to heave this hundred ton titan into a new trajectory. Leaping between and on top of buildings, chaining evasive dodges into forward boosts, and then chaining that movement into a devastating frontal kick felt surprisingly natural on keyboard and mouse after only a few hours of playtime.
The addition of a Sekiro-esque posture mechanic, where attacks deal damage to both health and stamina, gives more freedom in build variety than I’ve experienced in any prior Armored Core. Looking to reddit and twitter, you’ll see no shortage of dual gatling and grenade launcher builds absolutely stomping some of the game’s nastiest bosses into the dirt, but that is easily the least rewarding playstyle on offer here. The general purpose AC that I would default to when going out on missions and fighting in the arena, was a mid-weight, in your face beast, blasting pistols akimbo to build up stagger from mid range before boosting in with dual shotguns, obliterating enemy armor at close-range. Shoulder weapons are cool, and offer no shortage of unique, artillery heavy playstyles, but I wound up having a lot more fun hot swapping between hand weapons like a 20 meter tall gunslinger. Regardless, there are so many parts, all with such distinctive properties that meaningfully alter your approach to combat, that I suspect my preferred AC build is going to change on each subsequent deployment to Rubicon’s surface.
Tumblr media
The boss fights are some of From Software’s best. My personal highlight was an early game showdown with a PCA prototype, BALTHEUS, an Armored Core strapped into a rocket-propelled throne with orbiting wheels of fire that invoke oppressive biblically imagery, a vainglorious robotic testament to the PCA’s bloated self-importance. I probably spent two whole days getting skill checked by this thing, but by the time I dealt the killing blow, my piloting skills had increased ten-fold. I was deftly dodging heat-seeking missile barrages, keeping track of their orientation and orbit path in my head as they screeched out of view, relentlessly pressing my assault while anticipating them circling back on a new heading. I was jumping over sword slashes and boosting under white hot napalm barrages, retaliating with a kind of exacting precision that Sekiro’s triumphant displays of martial skill. SEA SPIDER was similarly thrilling, especially when I identified the blind spot near its abdomen. Chasing this Hollywood producer’s wet dream down required constant assault boosts towards its thorax, always aligning my AC with one of it’s gargantuan legs so that I would be obscured from the firing path of the devastating central laser cannon. There’s a genuinely uncountable number of thrilling, suck the air out of your lungs encounters just like these in Armored Core VI.
Tumblr media
My colleague Ted Litchfield wrote about how the presence of the Interior Ministry in Sekiro communicates so much about the state of the wider world – the vast, homogenizing engine of homogenizing snuffing out whole cultures, the great die-off of magic and folklore in society. Armored Core VI uses a similar technique with the presence of the PCA, albeit to a somehow more depressing effect. After a brief inter-corporate ceasefire, the PCA are all but routed from Rubicon in the conclusion of the second act, serving as a grandiose but ultimately ineffectual presence. I was so immersed in Armored Core VI’s setting that I found myself longing for the return of these strict legalists, the only evidence of some kind of centralized government or authority that stands a chance at stopping the corporations from achieving total dominance. If the PCA can’t stop the corporations, who can?
The answer, obviously, is you. That “third way” ending, the Liberation of Rubicon, is one of the most uplifting finales to a game I’ve played since Ace Combat Zero. The bodies of your masters still fresh, you act independently to become the tip of the spear of an organized military effort to dislodge the corps from Rubicon, fighting above and alongside the mercenaries you’ve bested in the Arena and on the job. The droning synths and irregular industrial beats that dominated Armored Core VI’s soundtrack are remixed into a composition that is nothing short of angelic, the perfect accompaniment to a conclusion that sees Rubicon’s impenetrable gray skies part as you soar glorious and above a planet again consumed by raging fire – the fires of liberation. And after all is laid to rest, laid to waste, Armored Core VI still ends on a melancholy, mournful note: You can only do what you think is right.
Ultimately, Armored Core VI is a deep game, both mechanically and narratively. It’s unlikely that this will be my final piece of writing on a game that genuinely moved me in a way few games have. It is the platonic ideal of the mech action game, all your Gundam and Macross daydreams and power fantasies made playable at the highest fidelity possible, with a narrative that stands tall in how it contextualizes, and allows you to contextualize, your own sordid actions. I cannot recommend Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon enough.

Review of klairs' Daily Skin Hydrating Water
Klairs, a Korean brand, is respectful of the beauty of the environment and carries healthy values regarding the earth, and contains only the most necessary ingredients. They are officially carried by Wishtrend. Their Daily Skin Hydrating Water is designed to soothe and moisturize dry skin. It helps to maintain healthy skin condition. Key ingredients include: 45% green tea leaf water (toning, soothing, hydrating, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, anti-aging), calendula officinalis flower water (anti-aging, healing, anti-inflammatory, stimulates collagen production, antioxidant), coconut water (prevents water evaporation in the skin and strengthens the skin barrier for better-moisturized skin), betaine (anti-aging, anti-wrinkle, moisturizing, soothing, skin protecting) and pantolactone (helps draw moisture into the skin, improves hydration, vitamin-rich, nourishing). This toner retails for between $18-27 USD, you can get it here for $18.90 + shipping. Use code DANNIEL15 to save 15 percent.
Ingredients
Camellia Sinensis Leaf Water (45%), Water, Glycerin, Propanediol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Butylene Glycol, Calendula Officinalis Flower Water, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Water, Betaine, Panthenol, Pantolactone, Trehalose, Sodium PCA, Sodium Citrate, Disodium EDTA
To quickly note, I received this for free from Wishtrend for my honest review.
Tumblr media
This toner contains 500 ml (16.90 oz) and is fragrance-free.
Tumblr media
The toner has a watery consistency and just looks like water.
Tumblr media
Despite being very lightweight, it leaves the skin really glowy and hydrated.
Recommended use is after washing the face, apply an abundant amount onto cotton puff and wipe off in an outward direction. If your skin still feels dry, apply once again for a better result. Continue your routine with essence, cream, and so on. The toner is cruelty-free, pH balanced, and free of artificial coloring, fragrances, and ethanol. It’s also vegan-friendly. After using, this is really the perfect toner for any skin type. It can be used as lightly or as heavily as you want according to your skin type and there are no irritants so it makes it ideal to also use as a spot treatment on irritated skin. It comes in a huge size and it really does last a long time. I've been using this for a few months and heavily as well and I've only gotten through a quarter of the bottle. It also makes a great mist for the summer months as it's very refreshing. I'd recommend it to absolutely anyone, it's very gentle, very hydrating, and can leave the skin very glowy and moisturized.
What I like: it's a lovely product, very hydrating and moisturized, and adds radiance and glow. It comes in a huge bottle and it goes a long way. It has no irritants and no fragrance and would be suitable for any skin type as it can be used lightly or any way you choose. What I don't like: nothing, there's nothing I can say negative about this product.
Pros:
Hydrating
Moisturizing
Adds a glow
Can be used in various ways
Fragrance-free
Sensitive skin friendly
Cruelty-free
Vegan friendly
Lots of product
Cons:
None
Would I buy this?
Yes, for sure
Rating: 10/10

Hi my darling Cal! I hope you’re doing well! You continue to be one of the most impressive authors I’ve ever come across. I’ve been absolutely loving we won’t look back and I’m really excited to read the last two chapters (although I’m sad to see Summer go because I absolutely adore her! You write such loveable kid characters it’s very impressive). I’m also so excited about these new stories! It’s so cool how many interesting story ideas you have how do you come up with them?
First theme this week is the whump!
⚖️⚖️⚖️⚖️⚖️⚖️⚖️⚖️⚖️⚖️⚖️⚖️⚖️⚖️⚖️⚖️⚖️⚖️⚖️⚖️⚖️ (BTHB! Billy boils! Curses! Sinester! Absolutely love these buzzwords and am excited to see how it goes!)
🤕🤕🤕🤕🤕🤕🤕🤕🤕🤕🤕🤕🤕🤕🤕🤕🤕🤕🤕🤕 (ooooooh established buddie with buck&bobby AND eddie&chim! Love those dynamics and love the injuries and the angst and I’m already so pumped!)

HI PCA!!!!! You are always so fucking kind Thank you!!!! I will miss Summer too. And that's such a nice compliment, thank you. I'm not a big kid person so good to know I can write them well.
Idk how I come up with them necessarily. Oftentimes music gives me ideas. Or something I felt was a thread I wanted an episode to tug at but maybe didn't.
Let's go whump!
63 for ⚖️:

Gets institutionalized, maybe. Sent for brain scans, certainly. So he can ignore it. Maybe, like math powers, it’ll just start to fade.
“I’m so glad you’re okay,” Maddie says to him.
“Yeah, no…” Buck replies. “I’m totally fine.”
⚖️
The car ride home is a relief. Buck keeps his eyes closed as Maddie drives, feigning fatigue, but still managing to chat with her. Apparently everyone is super freaked out.
“Chim says Eddie is taking it particularly hard,” Maddie says. “You should probably talk to him as soon as you’re up for it.”
“Oh shit,” Buck replies. “The last thing he needs this year is for me to die.”
Maddie scoffs. “Yeah, that’s the only reason you should avoid it.”
“I’ll call everyone once I’m settled in,” Buck says. “I’m sure they’ll all pop in with excuses to make sure I’m still breathing.”
“As will I,” Maddie adds.
Yeah. He was worried about that.
“Look, this isn’t like the lightning strike,” Buck tells her. He avoids looking too closely at her brilliant golden glow. “There aren’t any concerns now, right? So, I’m okay.”
“I know,” she exhales. “Just… How do we know it won’t happen again? If we don’t know what caused it?”
That is… A good point. Buck can’t argue with it.
“Any weird skin rashes, I go right to the hospital,” Buck promises.
“You’d better,” she warns.
“Hey, uh…” Buck says. “Did you keep Mom and Dad updated?”
Maddie’s face tenses. “Yeah. I did.”
“And?” Buck asks. “I mean, if they were planning to come down, I guess… I mean, they don’t have to now.”
“Uh…” Maddie inhales. “They were waiting for more news. They… Dad had this charity golf thing, so… They wanted to wait.”
“Oh,” Buck replies. “Right.”
“Sorry, Evan.”
“Don’t be,” he shrugs. “Not your fault. I guess it’s just a good thing last time they were already here.”
The conversation is a bit stale after that.
⚖️
On their way into Buck’s loft, they run into his neighbor from the unit next to his. Lawrence. Or, as Buck likes to think of him Lawrence-Don’t-Call-Me-Larry. Buck had tried once. Not a good plan.

“You feeling alright?” Bobby asks as Buck turns to crawl away.
“Me?” Buck asks. “Yep. Fine.”
“Okay…”
Buck pulls himself through the dark rubble back to where he woke up. He pats around, flashes the light. But there’s no sign of his radio.
“Can’t find it?” Bobby calls.
“No,” Buck says back. “Maybe if you call it?”
“Call it?” Bobby asks.
“So it rings?” Buck clarifies.
“Buck… It’s not a phone…” Bobby says, strange edge in his voice. “And mine is broken, remember?”
Broken. Right. Right, yes. It was crushed.
“Buck, did you hit your head?” Bobby asks.
“Did I? Uh… I don’t know.”
“I’m concerned you have a concussion,” Bobby says. “You’re not thinking clearly.”
“No…” Buck trails off. “No, I’m… Okay, maybe I’m a little… Loopy.”
“Shit,” Bobby hisses.
Buck feels a wash of guilt.
“I’m sorry,” Buck replies. “Sorry, Cap.”
“Don’t be sorry,” Bobby says. “You’re hurt. I’m worried.”
Right. Duh. Jesus, he’s right. He really isn’t thinking clearly. That’s not good. That’s not good because he needs to free Bobby and get them out of here, and he has no idea how he’s going to do that if he’s concussed and less than a hundred percent.
Abandoning hope of finding his radio, Buck crawls back over to Bobby.
“Did either of us bring our phones?” He asks.
Bobby shakes his head. “Left it on the engine.”
“I think I did, too,” Buck sighs.
“Alright,” Bobby says. “It’s okay. Eddie and Chim aren’t going to give up looking for us.”
