Features of Outdoor Water Bottles
An outdoor water bottle is more than just a tool for hydration; it's a symbol of preparedness and a commitment to environmental responsibility. Choose a water bottle that meets your needs, and let it be your reliable partner on all your adventures.
Outdoor water bottles are typically made from materials like stainless steel or BPA-free plastic. These materials are durable, resist impact, and do not leach harmful chemicals into the water.
Many outdoor water bottles offer insulation properties, keeping your beverages cold or hot for extended periods. This feature is particularly useful in bad weather conditions.
A secure seal is crucial to prevent leaks and maintain the integrity of your backpack or gear.
The design should allow for easy cleaning to prevent bacterial growth and maintain water quality.
The bottle should be lightweight and easy to carry, often featuring a loop or handle for attachment to a backpack.
Outdoor water bottles come in various sizes, and the choice depends on the length and intensity of your activity.
Eco-friendly options are becoming more popular, with many opting for reusable bottles to reduce plastic waste.
Hydration Strategies for Outdoor Activities:
It's essential to start your outdoor activity well-hydrated. Drink plenty of water before you set out.
Instead of drinking large amounts at once, take small, regular sips to maintain a steady state of hydration.
A simple way to check hydration levels is by observing the color of your urine. Pale yellow indicates good hydration, while dark yellow suggests dehydration.
In hot weather or at high altitudes, your body will require more water, so adjust your hydration strategy accordingly.

Hello!!! I love your art so much!! Will the February sticker sheet be water proof/weather proof?
thank you so much!! they'll be vinyl stickers, which are definitely water/weather-resistant at the very least — i print stickers through stickerapp, and their page on durability says they should be able to withstand sun, rain, dishwashers, microwaves, etc, and that outdoors they should last several years before they start fading!
#kaylee.txt#answered#necromanceable#i'd definitely be careful about putting them through a dishwasher but i know several of my friends have put my stickers on water bottles >#with no issue! and i've seen vinyl stickers last outdoors for months/years so i'd say they should hold up pretty well!

maybe I’m just boring but pits/GA/standing is my least ideal concert experience at this stage in life I’d so much rather have a designated seat and the option to just stand and sway and sing/dance if I want to but also sit down for the sake of my feet every once in a while and just vibe out I ain’t the one performing
#outdoor amphitheatres are genuinely the best venues imo#obviously it’s artist dependent#and you get this for like 90% of sections of arenas or stadiums#but last time I saw an indie artist in a ga venue ppl were passing around one water bottle and fainting#i almost did too and literally caught covid from the concert so#this is mostly bc of all the videos I’m seeing from day one of Clancy tour#the trees thing is damn cool but I’m just not built for the lining up for hours (cough days for the crazies) before#ik it stank in there#randomthots#concerts

Wasn't there a trend for a while where people would post the stuff they carried with them everyday, to be like 'look how much you can tell about a person from these things'? Part of me wants to bring that back and tell you all about everything that lives in my backpack on a daily basis and part of me thinks we'd be here all day if I tried.
The list includes but is not limited to: mini first aid kit (bandaids, antiseptic wipes, tweezers, gloves), an entire bottle of tylenol (for the chronic headaches), an extra dose of my daily prescription meds (in case I forget them), multitool, more writing utensils than I can keep track of, extra socks and underwear (both in case of Fieldwork Shenanigans), an entirely unreasonable number of granola bars, mini tool kit containing two pairs of pliers and six screwdrivers, my wallet (boring, contains three library cards), pocket-sized notebook, menstrual products, several masks, a bandana, deck of cards, earplugs, wired AND wireless earbuds, a packet of electrolyte powder, hand sanitizer, plastic cutlery, menstrual products, sunglasses, and an umbrella.
What the fuck does that say about me? I may never have actually been a Boy Scout but I think I live up to the stereotype.
#i was a girl scout but they only taught us how to sew pillow cases and sell cookies#so i quit#and then i became an ecologist and learned all the actual outdoors-y stuff later in life#this post is weird and really random i don't know why i suddenly remembered this#hylian rambles#also I'm about to do fieldwork next week in an unfamiliar environment and the list of crazy stuff in my bag will get REALLY intense#beefier first aid kit. one of those little foil emergency blankets. four fucking water bottles.#yes this is a reasonable amount of water to bring. no really. the baseline recommendation is two liters and site safety for this location#says bring double what you think you need. so. four fucking water bottles.

Appeal of Durable Outdoor Water Bottles
China has established itself as a major player in the global manufacturing of outdoor water bottles, offering a diverse range of products to meet the needs of various outdoor enthusiasts. From hikers and campers to athletes and travelers, these bottles play a crucial role in ensuring hydration during outdoor activities.
Outdoor water bottles manufactured in China come in a variety of designs and materials, each tailored to different needs and preferences. Some of the key features include:
Outdoor water bottles are designed to withstand rough handling and various environmental conditions. Common materials used include stainless steel, BPA-free plastics, and aluminum. These materials ensure that the bottles are resistant to impacts, temperature changes, and corrosion.
Many outdoor water bottles feature double-walled insulation to keep beverages hot or cold for extended periods. This is particularly beneficial for activities in bad weather conditions, allowing users to enjoy a warm drink in cold weather or a cold drink in hot weather.
A crucial feature of outdoor bottles is a leak-proof design. This prevents spills and ensures that the bottle can be carried in a backpack or placed in a car without risk of leakage. Many bottles come with secure screw caps, flip tops, or spouts designed to prevent accidental leaks.
Bottles designed for outdoor use often have wide mouths or detachable parts to facilitate easy cleaning. This feature helps in maintaining hygiene, especially when the bottle is used for different beverages or in rugged outdoor environments.
Many outdoor water bottles are designed with user comfort in mind. Features such as non-slip grips, convenient carry handles, and lightweight construction enhance usability and portability.

Wait, there's actually people weighing their gear for backpacking? I always thought it was a joke or something. I used to do a lot more backpacking myself, and the average weight for everyone in my troop was 55 pounds. It's really no issue
I mean... I'm mostly doing it because I have cabin fever and am trying to avoid seasonally appropriate work lol.
But maybe I should clarify why my gear weighs so freaking much.
I don't leave the house without a -10 sleeping bag. I live in the north, there's no guarantee you won't hit freezing in July, and I hate being cold.
Lightweight silnylon just doesn't work around here. Even the day hike trails will snag your gear on black spruce or devil's club and rip holes in it. The few truly lightweight items I have are as much gear tape as original material.
I'm also not going out overnight without my Whisperlight stove, fuel, and Spot beacon. Just no.
Ditto a proper tent. The bugs out here will suck you dry without screens, and the summer storms will find their way under, around, or through any kind of tarp and don't announce themselves more than 10 minutes in advance.
I have a pathological aversion to synthetic hiking clothes. I'll bring some in case I get rained out and need them, but my everyday clothes will mostly be natural fibers tough enough to stand up to the brush that don't feel like crap (do not tell me I'm wrong, I already know every expert says not to do this. Too bad. If I can't hike comfortable, why hike at all?)
My solar panel, backup battery, and book may be labelled luxuries on published packing lists, but they're non-negotiable. Again, what's the point backpacking if I'm bored?
Water bottles. A hydration insert has too much potential to get punctured, and is too limited in what you can use the water for without great difficulty. At least 2 full Contigo bottles go everywhere I go. Plus a filter as backup.
This bag has everything I need except a toothbrush, clothes, and food. It weighs 31 pounds.
Most recommendations for someone my size say don't go over 35 pounds, but this doesn't actually feel too bad. Depending on terrain, weather, and trip length, I could easily add another 10 pounds without worrying. There's still lots of room in the bag if I needed it.
And I don't usually head out for multiple days on my own. If I was hiking with T one of us would take the tent and the other would take the kitchen stuff to break up weight a bit.
So the numbers are a lot better than I'd hoped when I started this morning. Not that it's going to matter for the next 6 months.
#thanks for indulging my shenanigans guys#nothing like a perfectly good Sunday when things could get done to daydream about trips i can't do in this weather#it helps that the day pack i take everywhere with me is already almost 20 pounds#with flares bear spray plb gps compass tarp emergency blankets first aid kit a couple jackets water bottles water filter headlamp#spare batteries a couple knives 300 feet of cord dog stuff and whatever rocks i forgot to take out between hikes#also most of my gear was used or thrifted#thats the case for my big pack some of my pots my solar panels and both jackets#i justified buying the tent and bag as school supplies for my outdoor rec classes#and the stove was non-negotiable#it runs on bike gas and kerosene as well as naphtha and might be the nicest piece of gear i own

Shout out to the old lady walking her dog who had to see me wielding 2 litre water bottles at 7.30 this morning. She just stared, asked me if I was winning, didn’t wait for an answer and moved on. Getting ready for a show involving A Lot of heavy weaponry so
#that was unfortunately a sight#thankfully! I ran to the next town over they have an outdoor gym#not so thankfully: I ran there with 2 giant water bottles and no bag#conclusion: no possible reason I can give will make any of that sound normal at the pub#im fairly unrecognisable I have one of those faces - just ever so slightly bland#but my bright red and blue 2L BOTTLE I carry with me everywhere is very distinctive#however I am REALLY looking forward to this show#it’s a weapons demonstration but also a history talk (since historical weaponry not. not modern)#so while I get a full kit I ALSO get to be a nerd and gush about history#I love history! I love weapons!#and for this particular age of history I also need to make sure I can hold a shield AND sword so. I got 2 massive bottles#problem is that I drink a lot of water and uh. by the time I got back home I’d gone through 3 litres#very happy that the next town over has an outdoor gym. even if it’s in the middle of a bunch of houses#anyways
