So it turns out there's a big craft guild organization thing only a few hours from where I live (I saw an ad for their craft fair), and I got like half my holiday shopping done on their website, and the box arrived today! The thing I was most excited to see in person is fragile, though, and it's really well wrapped in bubble wrap and I don't want it to break when I mail it to the friend it's for, so I am not unwrapping it, but oh man the temptation is there lol I also got myself a little metal bug made of a bottle cap and some wire. It lives on my little corkboard where I put postcards and thank you cards now

hate it when people call me gross and dirty for only showering twice a week and sometimes wearing the same pants a few times in a row like brother there are people who don't wash their hands after they use the toilet there are bigger issues to worry about

20/10/24-Mushroom possibly a common inkcap on the green out the front, sky out the back and Mallards and dandelion on a walk at Lakeside Country Park this afternoon.

Song Thrush, Grey Wagtail, Great Crested Grebes, Moorhen, lots of Black-headed Gulls seen nicely including gathering in the bowl, fine views of a Migrant Hawker as bits of sun emerged after the rain through the day, fine red clover and white clover, daisy, ragwort, spurge, cleavers, comfrey, creeping thistle, wild carrot seed heads, hawthorn berries, a great view of oakmoss lichen and turkey tail fungi were other highlights. I also enjoyed seeing lots of Feral Pigeons out the back and a Dunnock in the garden and flying across the road into the forsythia hedge out the front.
