Idea but
Tumblr media
I imagined an Aligned adjacent au where at one point or another where all three are on a rebuilding Cybertron with their own apartments and haven't reunited until now
Starscream and Soundwave have their rid15 designs because those are beautiful as fuck in my opinion
Megs in my opinion has either a frame that's a mockup of his pre-war Megatronus frame or something similar to what we see in "Coming Home" because I fucking loved that fic
On a side note I've been running this plotline where Megs shows up somewhere and Optimus meets him while he's in jail of sorts, and Megs makes a remark about "This feels familiar, does it not?" A bittersweet moment with a helping of this exasperated fondness to it in my mind. I say this because I know in rid Starscream and Soundwave were individually hauled in for a trial, and I adore the idea of there being a rehabilitation program because yes.
I'll be honest I don't really know who Starscream should be with as in this situation I'm imagining wavewave and megop, yes. I know I did imagine Starscream having minibots / smaller sparklings, because I've been thinking about that (the frame ratios are more in favor of carrying for his rid15 frame, which is how this scenario was born.)

Early Grey Tea
Early Grey Tea : The inevitable Zombie Apocalypse is upon us! What’s your plan of action?
"I hate this. Cause this is incredibly unlikely, but I'll play. Get my team together? Emerson, Darcy, Jade, Finn, Jude(If he'd be okay with team projects in an apocalypse), and then of course Mila and our daughter. I think a few of us would be really good at killing zombies and some of us have decent survival skills. Emerson is the smartest person I know so she'd keep our head on straight and Darcy knows her supernatural shit, so I'd imagine she would have a clear plan. Then I'd find a pretty safe location to hide out till we had to get somewhere else. I'd go to a Bass Pro Shop. They have food and weapons and enough camping and hiking stuff to protect us long term too. Either way I'd probably get killed trying to save someone. got a bunch of little baby plants and am doing some repotting but damn i have a hard time remembering which ones can't have direct light
all but a few of them are low light types because i don't like window or overhead light (i am a cave gremlin)
but some of them need at least indirect light and i'm trying to get those situated well to the french doors (also i bought another seasonal fern bc i am weak and it's hogging a bunch of the space)
some of the tiny ones are barely hanging on and idk what to do else besides sun+ water
i thiiiink it's the tiny peperomia, the mini spider plant, and the aglaonema that really need out of the direct sunbeams and the couple of little succulents that need moved in more
the one snake plant that i haven't watered for six months needed a bigger pot so i upgraded it and i hope it takes it well. the bitty pearl pothos doesn't need a bigger pot but less sun and more drainage i think, so it got a new pot too
why do i get tempted by plants when i hate natural light so much? i did buy a *little* grow light for the corner though
i need plants that are ok with just ambient low light - the sansevieria is out of the window reach entirely but has been putting up fresh green shoots? the big peace lily keeps unfurling new leaves in the dark corner as long as it gets plenty of water?
but the other peace lily that was by the window is crunchy now and idk how to rehab it (still green? and not wilted but the leaves are crunkly so)
also i seeded some rosemary and sage and they are sprouting but the mint did not come up at all ://
#someone stop me from buying more snake plants just bc they survive#i killed my poor desk philodendron idk how and the diffenbachia too#i need more idiot proof plants but i keep having hopes when i walk past the racks outside the store#i need a palm or something tall for the living room across from the peace lily that just gets a tiny bit more light#also i want a billion succulents but one outdoor one died and its still hard to restrain myself#i need plants that light 60watt lamp light for by the bed where no natural light reaches lol#but also i need an explanation of where this indoor plant hunger comes from#i have a yard but everything out there dies come the months of baking heat#and only the grass really comes back - it's going gangbusters in the empty plant bed right now where nothing else seems to grow#(but weeds)#and if i have to bring the plants in for the summer they can't need bright light which is what they would get on the porch#also i don't want to bring bugs inside quite frankly - the spiders are enough for me (the gnat or two is too many)#i need to figure out how to get my pothos to be fluffier again rather than super leggy it's ridiculous#plant whining#i desperately want a ficus and i'm so afraid i can't keep it alive#i am very attentive for a while but then there will be a period where i keep thinking 'i will water tomorrow' only it can be almost a week#mainly i think the tap water is not great and i now i want to water with filtered water but i think i keep using more water than i should#why can't plant-coddling instincts be inherited? i just don't have that 'feel' for exactly what they need like my mom

here to give my favorite advice of getting dressed up just to go to the grocery store can be really fun!! signed a guy who wears fancy dresses all the time just bc he can
As you should!!! When I worked at a grocery store I loved to see people come in all dressed up or wearing something that made them happy. I think I am just weird about like not wanting to draw attention while I'm shopping whereas I don't mind drawing a bit of attention if the event or location is set up so everyone has an excuse to do that. But sometimes I wear a nice button-down and my red pants if that counts?

there is no such thing as a “low maintenance pet”, only different maintenance.
dogs, cats, fish, reptiles, birds, small mammals, et cetera all have different needs, and your individual lifestyle may be better suited to meeting the needs of one more than another. you may be able to properly care for a cat but not a fish, or a fish but not a rabbit, or a rabbit but not a bird, and so on, but that doesn’t make any pet “easier” to care for than another. it doesn’t make any pet need less care and attention than another.
promoting any pet as “low maintenance” leads to neglect at best and abuse at worst.
#fish and cats and probably the worst when it comes to this but in two different ways#fish because people have the idea of a fishbowl or one of those teeny tiny tanks and think that's fine#and combined with how easy and cheap it is to get a fish compared to a cat or a dog leads to people just getting them#without knowing how to properly care for them#*in general* getting a cat/dog is a pretty lengthy process whether youre adopting or buying from a breeder#and typically involves some kind of application and a vetting by the rescue/breeder#but literally anyone can walk into the pet store and buy a fish#and they don't know about getting a filter or a heater and thermometer or even the right tank size for their fish#and they certainly don't know that you need the entire tank set up WELL before getting the fish to properly cycle the tank#and then with cats it comes down to the whole outdoor cat thing and the misconception of cats as 'independent'#and less informed people think 'oh well i can just leave the cat outside all day and all i really have to do is feed it'#and so (1) they leave the cat outside all day (neglect/abuse full stop) and (2) don't own cat toys / cat furniture et cetera#anyway in a perfect world i don't think places like petco or petsmart should be allowed to sell the animals themselves#in a perfect world they wouldn't be allowed to sell fishbowls or those teeny tiny tanks or those tube things for like hamsters and them#but we don't live in a perfect world so :-/#i speak#animal welfare

some asshole lets his cat wander our neighborhood and i'm really tired of it. like he's the sweetest cat, and fortunately both my partner and the roommate that matters are on board with taking care of him, but it's fucked up to let your damn cat wander the full-on city, not suburb but actual city, looking like he's starving

Crafting the perfect outdoor living space can be a balancing act. On one hand, you want to create a space you love, and on the other, it may be important that any project you take on increases your home’s value—which is completely possible with outdoor additions. Although some renovations don’t add resale value, others are great choices, especially when you’re considering moving in the future.
If you’re looking to increase your home’s resale value, outdoor additions are a tried-and-true answer. From more straightforward projects like adding firepit areas to more complex renovations like new outdoor kitchens, here are six options to consider. https://www.forbes.com/home-improvement/outdoor/outdoor-additions-increase-value/
In locations where outdoor living is more of a year-round affair, an outdoor kitchen makes sense—especially when noting how much value it adds to a home. The NAR reports that homeowners can see an impressive 100% cost recovery when adding a kitchen to an outdoor area.
Outdoor kitchens can vary widely from basic and budget-friendly to luxe and costly. Before you commit to putting one in your backyard, take a peek at the other houses in your neighborhood. The final ROI could depend on how common the addition is in your area and whether or not it will give you a competitive edge when selling your home.
The average cost for an indoor kitchen ranges between $12,000 and $60,500. With an outdoor kitchen, the cost range stretches even further on both sides. You can find prefab layouts for around $5,000, but fully customized designs can be as much as $100,000. With these costs, it’s best do do ample research prior to committing.
These No-Demo Renos Can Majorly Boost Your Home’s Curb Appeal
Zillow used listing data from 3.9 million homes listed for sale on its platform between June 2023 and May 2024 to find out exactly which smaller-scale home projects potential homebuyers are most interested in today.  “These features bring a wow factor to a home or they serve as a signal that a home is up-to-date, well-maintained, or move-in ready. When it’s time to sell, these features may ultimately help a home sell faster or for more money, because there will likely be more competition for that home among buyers.”
Tumblr media
Speaking of spending time outdoors, patio covers and pergolas are also all the rage. Homes with these outdoor shade structures can get 20% more saves and 24% more shares every day, with an average cost of $3,600. Add in a fire pit, which will cost about $200, and your home could be saved 19% more and shared 23% more on Zillow. - Better Homes & Gardens https://www.bhg.com/top-no-demo-renos-zillow-thumbtack-8680652
These Are the Most Popular Home Features of 2024, According to a New Survey
Of the participants surveyed, 61 percent chose kitchen islands as the feature home buyers rate as their number one priority. Not only do kitchen islands allow for bar seating, they also provide homeowners with extra countertop space for cooking and preparing meals. What's more, kitchen islands often offer built-in storage space for cookware and other essentials. - Martha Stewart https://www.marthastewart.com/most-important-home-features-survey-july-2024-8677128

The Top 10 Upgrades That Make Your Home Sell Over Asking
Preparing to sell your home is no small endeavor. From hiring a real estate agent and getting your home appraised to passing every inspection, selling your home is often a months long feat. One of the most important elements of selling your home is ensuring that you’re getting the most bang for your buck and maximizing your home’s asking price. New Zillow research finds outdoor TVs, outdoor showers, and outdoor kitchens can help homes sell for as much as 3.1 percent more than expected, according to Zillow trend expert Amanda Pendleton.
Soapstone is quickly becoming the most sought-after countertop stone for kitchens. Beloved by designers and chefs (like Bobby Flay, Ina Garten, and Martha Stewart) alike, the stone is more durable than marble and easier to clean than other types of stone. “While it may come with a slightly higher price tag, this natural, nonporous stone can help a home sell for 3 percent more than expected,” Pendleton says. “This is compared with a 1.7 percent price premium for quartz and 0.5 percent for marble countertops.”
Average Cost to Complete: According to Angi, the average range of outdoor kitchen costs is between $6,127 for a simple setup (such as a grill and countertop), and $26,163 for a full high-end kitchen installation outdoors.
Outdoor kitchens extend your culinary potential and your entertaining space. And while they vary greatly in both form and amenities, even a simple one can lead buyers to offer an average of 1.7 percent above asking.
Tumblr media
Average Cost to Complete: According to Angi data, the national average is $5,000 for an outdoor pizza oven, including installation. However, you can expect to spend anywhere between $2,000 and $8,000 depending on project scale.
Whether brick, ceramic, or metal, outdoor pizza kitchens are becoming all the rage for summer entertaining. Adding one to your outdoor room or kitchen can help to boost your home’s selling price. - House Beautiful https://www.housebeautiful.com/design-inspiration/real-estate/a61210067/renovations-to-make-your-house-sell-for-more/

when i saw 'cabin in the woods in middle of nowhere new hampshire' bad i mean it. i have a 65 year old father from northeastern mass that's the only type of vacation i ever go on (if you're wondering what it's like it's like a modern day yellow wallpaper btw) . i know my cabins in middle of nowhere new hampshire. i've been to multiple with better wifi than i currently have. that says a lot btw.
#one of my fave cabin trips was one where i was on my period and don't do tampons so i couldn't swim and there was absolutely nothing to do#there and the only place phones worked at all was in this one building which was a common area (i don't use technology without a wall#directly behind me. this post brought to you by the children of helicopter parents gang) and closed for most of the day. so all i had to do#was draw. listen to the singular episode of tma i had downloaded in preparation for the trip (yeah that's what era it was)#(it was the bonus episode live show recording bc that's what had just come out). pace back and forth from my room to the empty room across#the hall. eat the bags of cherries and saltwater taffy we'd gotten at the nearest grocery store after we checked in. and peel the possibly#lead paint off the walls (in the room across from mine bc if it were mine i might get in trouble or something idk).#i genuinely blame this trip for making my maladaptive daydreaming 50x worse than it already was. also none of the doors locked. the cabin's#main door wasn't even a door it was just an open doorframe. our cabin wasn't even just us either. or that much of a cabin. it was more of a#long building with a doorway to the outside in the middle w like 10 tiny rooms on either side of it. bc of covid they didn't pack it in lik#they normally would and instead just put me and my dad on the far end of one side and then some other family on the other and thank god the#did bc i would've lost my mind otherwise. the doors that didn't lock included the bathroom. which there were two of in the entire building#btw. my dad slept with his door open the entire time we were there. the windows were just screens with no glass. or curtains.#and my dad spent the entire time having ditched me to go swimming. most of the times i saw him were accompanied by 'are you sure you don't#wear tampons' 'we could go borrow a kayak instead' (my dad has a long history of flipping kayaks) or 'you should totally use the outdoor#shower' (he has an unexplainable obsession with outdoor showers and he really wants me to use them. for some reason). the only times i left#the two rooms i was pacing across were mealtimes where i developed a tea addiction which still plagues me to this day. attending the talks#he'd been given the free vacation in exchange for giving. he didn't just decide to go on vacation (however secluded) in the middle of covid#on his own. yes my attendance at the talks was mandatory no i don't remember what they were about it's been 4 years and i wasn't paying#attention. and the one hike around the lake i got to go on. 0/10 i loved it but wouldn't recommend it to anyone. somehow my dad has had the#audacity to suggest going back up there to the same campsite several times and is surprised that i refuse to ever do that again.#that said there was absolutely a net positive and that's that i think i owe things falling apart between me and my groomer to that trip#bc it was the longest period of time i had spent not talking to them since meeting them and i was for the most part not thinking of them an#was focusing in where our interests differed. and genuinely i think it was a turning point for talking to them feeling like a chore and#not basing my schedule entirely around theirs so like . maybe i have rose colored glasses towards this trip nowadays#romeo.txt

one of the first things i noticed after moving into ~*~my house~*~ is that (probably because it's on a street that gets a lot of pedestrian traffic to/from the nearby corner store) a lot of people were tossing litter into the front garden bed. liquor bottles and vapes and plastic wrappers and the like. which, you know, gross, please don't do that, we live in a society, but also where the fuck else are you supposed to put it? there's no city trash cans on this street.
and, well, we were tearing out most of the plants in those front beds anyway because the previous owner of the house made some very odd garden decisions ("endless landscaping" the house listing said, and if by "endless" they meant the sheer quantity of biomass that needs removed, they were right) and we want to put in more drought-tolerant native plants, so i went online and spent about $100 on a large sturdy outdoor trash can and set it up in front of my house. (quite cheap as house-related purchases go; i spent $100 on gravel last week.)
guess how many liquor bottles i've had to pick out of my garden since then? ZERO. and it's really convenient for ME when i'm coming home with an empty boba, or opening mail out by the mailbox, or picking up the yard a little bit. and according to @combat-epistemologist (who does more yard work than i do) people walking past have actually thanked us for installing the trash can, which is extremely cool. i did a civic service!! i made my neighborhood better!!! i'm helping :D
