(My perspective, opinion on Mikey headcanons)

MIGHT BE SPOILERS! ⚠️

Fluff

-I could see Mikey being clingy (Toman Mikey and maybe even Manila and Bonten Mikey but in more private places with just you and him.)

-Toman Mikey’s probably very defensive and protective of you, just like with baji. (Ifykyk)

-if your in a bad mood he might give you a couple nibbles of his dorayaki, only if your sad but he’s definitely stingy.

-messy sleeper. I feel like sleeping in the same bed with him is a mess. He definitely will have his arms and legs everywhere. I feel like he would randomly wrap legs with you.

-Your relationship would probably be private for safety reasons even though he would still let you around Toman but your his so called close “friend” similar to his relationship with Draken.

-Petty, not petty in like a bad way though. For example if you forget to get him some dorayaki when your coming to see him he’ll do something small but petty as revenge.

-only sleeps in cold beds. He likes the cold breeze in his room.

-he’s like a woman on her period when you don’t bring him the snacks when he asked you to.

Angst

-when Draken died his mental health got even worse. I believe Draken used to baby Mikey because he could never get out of bed on his own after what happened with Shinichiro so you’d have to be the one to help him with simple tasks like helping him get up and care for him because he won’t do it for himself.

-Bonten Mikey is a light sleeper so if you move a lot he’ll definitely get pissed and hurt your feelings by saying something insensitive, he will never hit you though.

-Bonten Mikey has insomnia on certain nights, he’ll lay in bed with you until you fall asleep and then get up to do something else while your sleeping.

-Manila Mikey would ruin plans with you to go out and find takemichi. (Ifykyk)

-Bonten Mikey would definitely talk shit about Bonten executives to make you hate them as much as he does.

-Once kanto manji arc started Mikey became possessive. Like you cant talk to certain people and he needs to know where you are at all times. This is because Mikey feels as if those around him that he loves are bound to die, he feels as if he’s bad luck. If you were to not tell him where you were he would send members out to find you and dark impulse might even happen, as in he might hurt or kill someone in the meanwhile.

-long hair Manila mikey will come to your house randomly to hang out meanwhile acting as if he doesn’t have his victims blood on him.

-all Mikey’s (except toman and kanto) are pretty merciless. That’s included killing a child or animal if needed.

-Ever since Kanto manji arc Mikey tends to get easily frustrated or pissed even though he keeps a blank face. His eyes say it all.

-sometimes Mikey might snap at you because of dark impulse and then realize what he did. This would result in him doing something such as starving himself, locking himself in a room somewhere or just straight up harming himself as self punishment.

(This is actually a headcanon because of black dragon arc where Mikey purposely let taiju hit him as a punishment to himself and when he let Draken beat him up because he couldn’t protect Emma. Basically letting others hurt him because he believes he deserves it.)

-Manila Mikey has manic episodes sometimes. I feel like he would be delusional at times and hallucinate.

-Bonten Mikey cannot sleep without you, he doesn’t like the thought of you being somewhere else while he’s laying down.

-Manila Mikey is manipulative time to time to get what something he really wants. When he doesn’t get it regardless he’ll loose his cool and get violent, Mainly from dark impulse.

-Keep a close eye on Bonten Mikey and Manila Mikey when you can. Atleast text Bonten Mikey four times an hour to check on him. But don’t text him on busy days. If he doesn’t answer your text call him on a busy day, call him.

-Mental disorder for sure.

-bad communication skills. Whenever you call him out he’ll say something like “You knew what you were getting into.”

-puts you and those he truly loves before himself. Selfless person but also very selfish when it comes to people he doesn’t care about.

-Bonten mikey has fantasies of having a double suicide with you. So that he’ll be free from his suffering with you still right beside him in his heart. You’d both probably end up dying with each other.

-very possessive and jealous. To the point it can be agonizing. Only if you really put him in his place (in any way..) he’ll stop for a bit.

-Manila mikey is usually smiling but as soon as he gets angry his whole persona turns upside down.

-Bonten Mikey has scars all along his body but hides it with sleeves etc.

-Long hair Manila mikey does a lot more gore killing then you’d expect.

Siphonophores, the "Multi-Organism Organisms"

Siphonophores are really weird. They're like multicellular² organisms. A multi-cellular organism is made of multiple cells, most of them physically attatched to each other. They're all clones of the original zygote cell, (in most animals at least, and I think most things that reproduce via sexual reproduction) and while each cell is alive in its own right, they act as one organism. A siphonophore is made of multiple zooids (each zooid is homologous to an independent organism. So each nectophore is its own "jellyfish."), all of them physically attatched to each other. They're all clones of the original protozooid, and while each zooid is alive in its own right, they act as one organism. At least practically. I don't think we label the word "organism" to the siphonophore as a whole? I'm not sure actually. Normal animals could sorta be considered "single-zooided organisms"

and it turns out what an organism even is isn't clear. Honestly, it reminds me of the species problem. The whole thing of "what is a species? Are species even natural things or are they just categories we use to better understand the tree of life?" and stuff like that.

Looking at all of the messed up boss forms during the Neutral Flowey fight

I just want to talk about them i like them a lot. i was very obsessed with help_tale when i was younger and that's probably why. spoilers below cut, and body horror warning because of the topic ofc.

Decibat

Starting with Decibat, no eyes and a stomach mouth. Awesome!! The stomach mouth kinda goes along with Decibat's noise theme - HUGE MOUTH is loud and Decibat wants quiet.

Dalv

Out of all of the Flowey forms only 2 actually made me jump and this is one of them. Creepy eye things get to me and that’s why this is one of my favorites. It's really simple but it's great. Also the way it glitches sometimes makes it look like he has more than 2 eyes, which I'm not sure if it's on purpose but it's still neat!

I do wonder what would be under the cloak, like would it just be normal Dalv? The void? Something like the Deer Lord from Spooky’s Jumpscare Mansion? idfk. His face being obscured is like how Dalv obscures his face with his cloak for the majority of Dark Ruins, and since we don't really get to know him due to killing him, we don't get to see his real face..

Martlet

Martlet technically doesn’t have a form like the others but I didn’t want to leave her out. This scene does a great job at being unsettling with the lack of talking portrait and the slowed down Snowdin imo. i really like how her hugging animation changes for just that One Frame, it's slow enough that you'll probably catch it but quick enough that you might be wondering if you imagined it.

And then there's the whole "I'm so happy I found you! So happy I found you. I found you." that happens and then her face melts to reveal the Eye. The eye is in grayscale, like Flowey is during the second phase of his fight, so I wonder if it's meant to be HIM looking at you through Martlet.

And the melting parallels her death in No mer- hey wait, why does Martlet melt in both routes where she dies? Like??? I mean, she does have connections to Alphys and the True Lab so like...or maybe i'm just over thinking it. Either way this ones cool, if I knew pixel art I would try to make a form for her like the others have.

El Bailador

I think a lot of people believe this is the scariest one and....yeah. This is the other one that actually made me jump. The smile, the Eyes, it's fucking scary i hate this one (positive). The large strained smile goes with how El Bailador wants to make everyone happy with his dancing even though some prefer quiet, which he doesn't realize. does that make sense idk if that makes sense.

Starlo

Oh boy plant growth body horror! Yeah this one’s good. The vines growing out from his face, the weirdly elongated hands, the way the piece of straw on his hat changes to a flower. Honestly I have 0 clue what is going on with his face. Very cool. I also just noticed the holes in his poncho, like bullet holes? i saw someone say he's still hot on twitter and im scared

Ceroba

Ceroba's gets bonus points for being one of the rarer ones, because you have to abort a No Mercy route to see it. Besides that, no face! Wahoo! Plus her bow has changed to have a flower in it, which matches Starlo.

My favorite thing though is that the way pixels are scattered (i cannot find the right wording for this) kinda makes it look like she's constantly turning into dust which is really cool!! I think her face might be obscured for the same reason as Dalv, considering you have to be in No Mercy to see this you never get to know who Ceroba is.

Guardener

Overgrown robots overgrown robots overgrown robots. She already was overgrown but it gets more turned up with this one which makes me very happy, I love overgrown robots and machinery. All the vines get changed into flowers as well to fit, yippee! The Delta Rune logo on her chest is also scratched out, which is one way to send a message...

Axis

I like how the lack of face here parallels both how axis dies in No Mercy AND the death of the blue soul. This one's very cool, though i wish there were some more wires in his face like his death sprite in No Mercy has. thats a weird thing to wish for isnt it. Actually now that I'm looking at it more, it kinda looks like a mouth? That might just be because of the things at the top and bottom, I'm not sure if it's meant to be a mouth.

Oh! And the heart in his chest is missing, which hurts because both ways you can spare him involve filling his heart (either with Daisy or compliments. Also, Axis' neutral route spare is extremely cute, please go check it out if you haven't seen it.)

anyway thanks for reading through teehee my favorites are probably dalv’s ceroba’s and guardener’s. i have to wonder what the Feisty Four would have looked like in this? They don't get any because well, they don't die, but I like them...I don't really have any ideas myself, though. ok bye

genuinely hate the way heaven and hell is set up in hazbin like. in all honesty. whats the point of using the dantes inferno layers of hell if you are only allowed to use the pride layer. for every sinner. why the fuck would that make sense. like. a serial killer would be in the like. idfk wrath or lust (bloodlust) layer. dantes inferno isnt even fucking canonical to the bible.

the angel designs are flat, their movements feel stilted to me, all the humans in heaven just have a color swapped monster design just like the sinners.

and no fucking shit people think alastar is fucking white, you only find out that he mixed race from somewhere else. i only found out through my friend that the guy is half black because he saw a video or something of her drawing alaster in his human form (this sounds aggressive, but i am not doing that towards you this is in total agreement wirh you)

also i think adam as an angel is stupid as shit from like the standpoint of someone who is interested in the bible in the way greek myth isnt "canonical"/is separate from greek gods

the designs look like theyre still a fucking pain to animate, and i do genuinely like a lot of the designs, i think angel dust is iconic and uh. the bat cat guy looks pretty cool, i think theyre more for like. comic books.

story feels flat and rushed, and very much like i'm watching a childrens show for adults, and i fucking hate adult shows that think putting sex, seears, blood and gore in their product is soooooo fucking mature and cool of them and its just boring and samey and it fucking sucks. if hazbin was nade by someone else i'm sufe the peoduct wouldve been handled so much better and treated the audience like adults

for the first part, of the lore. the lore gets so much more fucking confusing and lamer if you watch the spinoff helluva boss. they go into more detail & spend more time in the other layers for each episode, but theyre all so lame and predictable. the lust layer is pink and full of clubs & bars because. romance??? the greed layer is green and pretty much chicago, especially with the demon mobs (demon mobs Should sound more fun). the wrath ring is red/orange and like The Middle Western Desert that literally takes place during the Wild West from USAmerica. LIKE they made dantes inferno LAME!!! wheres the imagination??? was the best you could come up with for greed "chicago" and wrath "the wild west"???? come on

and the way heaven and hell are addressed is so much more confusing. like. the angels have a Moral code Not To Kill, even if theyre demons (in the episode the angel opposite of IMP are focused on, they lose their jobs when they indirectly kill a guy they weren't supposed to kill), which comes into direct conflict with what the angels Were ALREADY DOING IN HAZBIN???

itd be one thing if they were taking place apart from each other in the timeline, and we don't really know that ATM, but they're supposed to take place in the same universe, so they never really seem to make up their minds on what they wanna do with that???

AND LIKE the core concept of hazbin hotel is broken from the very worldbuilding the show is built on. no demon would ever wanna work on redeeming themselves by just going to a hotel, and even in cases when they do, its really just to sabotage each other, before they solve their problems like. my fucking little pony. i cant believe this was a show made for the same target group as bojack horseman or moral orel, it makes me sick

and this idea isnt broken either!!! it can work!!! the good place worked and improved on this idea In Strides and did it with much more maturity and respect for its audience than vivziepop could even do for two of her shows

like hazbin hotel & helluva boss could be improved upon, they just need Better Writers and a Stronger Vision for where the story could go. im not even being a hater Just Because (altho i am), i'm just really upset that this was the direction the show is seemingly going to with no stop. ive seen people that have looked up to vivziepop as inspiration and felt deeply betrayed when the story was shit, when the writing was horrible, its really disappointing to see. i think the only people left watching this are people who think what vivziepop is doing is good, even if she spends more than half her time online looking up her shows to try to fight back against any and all criticism

Because there's no IWTV, I'm both purposely and accidentally going through AMCs other stuff and here's my takes so far (not spoiler free, Mayfair Witches, Orphan Black Echoes, The Terror)

Mayfair Witches:

Okay, enjoyable. The Talamasca is also meant to be in IWTV and I was a lil shocked at how many people don't know that but they're not as obvious yet in the IWTV series as they have initially been in Mayfair. Some wild Stockholm Syndrome with a demon or demon has Stockholm Syndrome with a human, idfk. 😂 Big feels for her mother, poor woman. Awful family, she probably shouldn't have gone looking for them tbh.

It's cool, but half of it is just her eyes and b00bz, AND I'M SORRY PLEASE TELL ME THAT IS NOT JUST ME? If anything, I was more interested in learning about the secret abilities of the people within the Talamasca than anything, but that's not strange, considering I'm usually into that kinda mystery.

Orphan Black Echoes:

3D printed people, alrighty. Don't leave the artists alone with a 3D printer anymore ig 🤣 interesting concept I keep being used, and it is definitely a side effect of humanities need for control. Which doesn't work particularly, of course. I feel so hard for all these women. The creator woman I don't really feel for, but I understand where she's coming from. She really didn't need to make 2 clones of her wife, though ngl. This is definitely interesting, I'd recommend. It's unfair how these clones are being treated, even in "the positive" ways, as people are either trying to control them, or hate them, or have them for selfish reasons. Billionaires going wild and evil, and deciding to create an entourage of clone children, I wouldn't put it past Elmo doing something like this if he could ngl.

I feel so bad for the kindest old man who has a bounty on his head (?!) who gets caught up in this that hosted the addiction group meetings and was just trying to help people but ends up getting shot.

Also, all that pink gloop is kinda nice for a stim until it's like.. is that's what is inside them!? Ew. As I recently watched Margaux, which has the same 3D printed human concept going on except they were full of the same gloop but white, which just looked like cream spurting out of them if they got a wound.

Not a fan of all these fake set rooms to manipulate the clones, noooo way. That "grandfather" was a right cvnt.

The Terror:

Honestly, what the f tbh, but this whole thing is kinda funny even though it's supposed to be serious drama. Random glimpses of a Chernobyl looking "polar bear." The depictions of the initial hallucinations made me kinda laugh. It's a relatively standard take on life living on board a ship was like then, with nods towards sickness, mental health, and spoiled rations, which Hollywood tends to miss. I fortunately learned a decent chunk with my accurate piracy history obsession. It's not a fun life, not back then. I'm only on episode 4, but it's always leaving me wondering what's next, and I had 2 dreams about it last night which confused me about what actually happened and for some reason I was Hickey dressed up as King Arthur in them so obviously, that part wasn't real. I like the fact there's queer people. It very much was a thing.

I'm sorry it was sad but burying Sir John's leg in a fancy stocking and shoe was like, "Go gurlll be buried in your best dress," but him getting wedged into the bucket as it looked like a glitching puppet/robot that kept flashing back to his face and he was human again IM SORRY. Both the captains are kinda messed up but kindhearted in their own ways. Francis just doesn't seem as in touch with his emotions as much as he is in touch with his alcohol adoration. And WHY DUD THE CHERNOBYL BEAR THROWN HIM DOWN A HOLE. I'm pretty sure it's a person that's some animal getting revenge for the poor man who was shot and thrown down the hole unceremoniously at that point.

Dog screaming on board like : "SOME SH!T GONNA GO DOWN!!!!" and just gives up tbh because humans are idiotic when it comes to doing dangerous things/take on Chernobyl "bears. " That's my name for it until I know what it it.

I think if hori wrote toga better more people would like her but he hardly gives a shit about her so her story and personality and thoughts are messy (as in badly written) and nonsensical. I wanna like her but you have to do a lot of leg work to make her interesting and worth the time and love, Hori doesnt love her enough to but a lot of effort into her, unlike the other two male villains who he wont shut up about. Togas always just been (for me personally) an underutilized, underdeveloped waste of what could have been a cool idea. The Anti-toga people are not unfounded in most of their criticisms (MOST), shes the only seemingly queer person and of course shes a lustful blood sucking pervert psycho murderer with no real depth.

(btw you are more than welcome to both ignore this and LOVE toga I am not saying for you shes not worth the time or energy, this is just me reflecting on her and how hori has treated her, i appreciate and value fanon and the effort fans will put into loving her, thats so cool and based, im glad you can find joy in something like that, for people who like her- I wish she was cared for by her writer 💕)

Look Horikoshi has always had a problem of pushing aside the women in his series, the worst of this case has ALWAYS been ochako. Do I think that’s because he wanted to write a gay love story? Yeah, I do. Does that make it okay? Absolutely not. I will be the first person to shout from the rooftops that horikoshi does not write women as well as he should. He has fan service abundant, he makes crude jokes using women that really aren’t all that funny, he’s pushed aside his women and their moments in order to forward bkdk’s development.

But you can absolutely not come into my ask to tell me that she is an, “underdeveloped wasted idea”. Because she’s just fucking not.

People think toga is just “the blood sucking bisexual who likes animals too”, but she’s just fucking not. That’s never been her defining trait or character.

Toga is a subversion of the yandere trope. That sadly means there will always be misogynistic rhetoric because that’s what the trope is. At least BEFORE the subversion happens, which is now! Where Ochako DOESNT FIND HER CREEPY!

She’s going to be creepy and weird and have issues because she’s a villain. She’s a queer villain. Her entire story is one that defies the tragedy of carmilla and refuses to let her identity be anything but “Himiko Toga”. She has always been a character about identity. She’s never been “possessive” or “jealous” over Izuku for this purpose. It’s the reason why she’s bisexual, why she just “has an attraction to blood”. It’s a queer story wrapped in metaphor and it always has been. Why is THIS monster/villain queer story any worse than, idfk, the joker and Batman. I haven’t found a single person able to genuinely voice that to me in a way that is convincing! Horror and unconventional ways of love and ESPECIALLY blood has always always ALWAYS been a part of queer coded stories for a LONG TIME. We are the unconventional. We always have been. And that’s not me “bending over backwards” HER PARENTS LITERALLY CALL HER A DEVIANT AND SHE ASKS WHY NO ONE ELSE STRUGGLES WITH THE URGES SHE DOES.

I’ve said this before, and I’ll fucking say it again, Toga is horikoshi’s most well written and thought out female character. Ochako got kicked over and over again, same with momo, Tsu, Mina, and whoever the fuck else.

She’s HAD depth. Idk if you read her backstory or her feelings on Ochako, twice, hawks, or even Izuku but she’s HAD depth. And I’m tired of pretending she hasn’t.

Bleach is an anime and manga created by Tite Kubo. The story basically centres around this ginger fucker called Ichigo Kurosaki who wields a massive ass sword and has spiritual powers. But since the story isn’t really relevant for my AU, I’ll just talk about the races. In bleach, there are a multitude of spiritual and non-spiritual races and entities. They are as such; (get ready for a huge fucking infodump and information overload :’) ) heavy heavy spoilers ahead btw.

- humans, who are non-spiritual entities. There are high-spec humans (which are regular humans with spiritual abilities) and humans who can see spiritual entities without having any powers. Spirit beings cannot be seen by ordinary humans, which is where high-spec humans come in. There are also, however, subtypes of humans who lean more into the spiritual entity side of things.

- Quincies, who are the opposite of Hollows (I’ll explain them in a minute). Quincies are one of the two subtypes of humans. They use “holy powers”, or rather their whole shtick is just,,, Catholicism and/or Judaism. They are primary German in name, and their “father” is called Yhwach. All quinces are technically descendants of him and when a Quincy dies, they do not become ghosts. Their spirits immediately go back to Yhwach, (which is pronounced you-ha-bahck/bach btw or just yuha). Their powers are usually blue in colour and they primarily wear white. There is also something called the Wandenreich, which is an army of Quincies led by Yhwach. Quincies and Soul Reapers are enemies due to how they deal with Hollows (Quincies literally destroy the souls of Hollows whereas Soul Reapers exercise hollows and send their souls) however the Wandenreich was created to take down the soul Reapers. Within the Wandenreich, there’s a faction called the Sternritter. This consists of 26 Quincies with a “schrift” which is an alphabetical letter with an ability and name assigned to them. Most normal Quincies do not have these powers, only the Sternritter do. However! Quincies do have special abilities! Firstly, their primary weapon is a bow but members of the Sternritter are seen using different things like guns… I hate Robert Accutrone but he is genuinely just Jade’s Grandpa. He uses a gun, he’s British, he’s old, he has a mustache, and he has square glasses. Also the Sternritter have the ability to steal soul reapers’ bankais with a medallion. Hirenkyaku is the Quincy version of flash step.

- Hollows (opposite to humans and ghosts. Ghosts are sometimes called Wholes, which is where Hollows get their name). They are large monsters defined by the holes in their chests and white masks they wear. They are exclusive to Japan within the world of Bleach, but quinces are not (for some stupid reason). Hollows are human souls who did not cross over to the soul society (which will also be explained, but it’s why they’re exclusive to Japan really) and they stay in the human world for too long after death. They are essentially the corrupt souls of humans turned into heartless monsters. The holes in their chests are where their heart was, and their hearts become the white masks they wear. There are different levels of hollows as well, and even some of the lowest hollows can be more powerful than other hollows. There are three levels of menos: Menos Grande, Adjuchas (ad-huchas), and Vasto Lorde. Most menos we generally meet are Adjuchas. Only fully humanoid hollows are Vasto Lordes.

- Arrancars, who are Hollows with their masks cracked and given human form. Arrancars are Spanish in naming. Within Bleach, there is something called the Hogyoku. The Hogyoku is able to manifest a person’s desire, and it basically turns the arrancars into,,, weird hollow soul reapers?? Idfk. Arrancars already existed before Aizen started messing with them, but the ones I’m going to talk about are the main “human” ones we see. Arrancars use similar powers to Soul Reapers like a sword release and a flash-step like ability called Sonido. Arrancars can have their holes literally anywhere (number 8 has his on his dick… I’m completely serious). But yeah- within the arrancar, there are 10 of them that are the most powerful called the Espada. Any normal arrancars with numbers after 10 are given those numbers based on when they were created. However,, I’m having 12 Espada instead of 10. Also very Espada represents an aspect of death. Some Espada also have fraccion, which are just arrancars who follow them. An arrancar’s release is called a resurreccion and it basically 1) makes the arrancar more powerful and 2) makes them look closer to how they looked as a hollow. Only two of the Espada have two releases, that being 4 and 10. Also arrancars use swords which are different to the soul reapers’ zanpakuto… but they have the same name… I don’t fucking know why. Oh also the Espada all have their numbers on their bodies

- Soul Reapers, who are the opposite of humans and fullbringers. They are Japanese. Soul reapers, also called Shinigami, and they have something called the “13 court guard squads” or just “gotei 13” which is made up of 13 squads or division, and every single squad has a captain, lieutenant, and 20 seated officers. Not every squad specialises in something, however a few do. Squad 1 is the head squad, Squad 2 has the stealth force and the captain of squad 2 will be the head of the stealth force. Lieutenants and some of the seated officers will be heads of certain parts of the stealth force. Squad 4 is healing. Squad 11 specialises in fighting and the captain of Squad 11 is called a “Kenpachi”, and they are the most powerful soul reaper in the whole world. To become captain of squad 11, you must defeat the current captain in a dual and gain the title of Kenpachi. Squad 12 is the department of research and development. Every squad has a flower insignia that represents different values.

Soul reapers typically only have one sword release, but a lot of them have two sword releases. Every single captain has both of these and it is a requirement for them to become a captain. Shikai and bankai. Shikai is the first release, bankai is the more powerful second release. A zanpakuto can either be a physical type or a kido-type. A physical type is a zanpakuto where the zanpakuto changes in form only, usually to enhance the ability. A kido-type zanpakuto will typically release elemental ”energy”, but will also often change minorly in physical appearance. Some kido-type zanpakuto change their form but they do not change the literal form of the zanpakuto… it’s easier shown. Kido is a form of advanced spells most soul reapers will learn and be proficient in, but all of them must learn it to graduate the Soul Reaper Academy. There are two types of kido but that’s not important for right now. Soul Reapers also can learn a technique called Shunpo or… flash step :’) yeah this is where being a Dirk Strider and Bleach fan gets weird…

Also there’s also Squad 0 but that’s… hhhh that’s way too much information. The Soul Reapers have a lot to them :’)

- fullbringers, who are high-spec humans with hollow-like abilities. Their mothers were attacked by hollows before they were born and that residual spirit energy was passed down to the child. Fullbringers’ abilities are usually connected to objects or concepts they have a deep connection with. They are able manipulate an object’s form if they have a connection to it. In the context of Jane and John, I’ll explain that. Jane isn’t evil! I just like her in the red a lot. Jane’s necklace she wears in Homestuck 2 is actually what she has a connection to, and she is able to turn it into that red trident thing she uses in Homestuck. Her fullbring is called Crockertier. I haven’t managed to think about the fullbring p’s abilities more than that but that’s what I have so far. John’s fullbring is called “Heir of Breath” and it allows him the ability to manipulate reishi (don’t… don’t ask… there’s a lot in the bleach lore that’s just too complicated to explain, but every spirit being uses it but quinces use it the most) or the soul in whatever he wants because he never managed to form an emotional connection to any specific object. I’m not… pulling this out my ass btw, this is a canon thing within the Can’t Fear Your Own World novels. It just has a different name to John’s Fullbring. Also- because of John’s mad depression due to his dysphoria, his Fullbring doesn’t actually function properly (which is a him specific thing because of the whole “no emotional connection to any specific object” thing). Also a fullbringer’s flash step equivalent is called bringer light, and I think it’s the slowest of the abilities?? Idk,but it relates the whole “manipulating whatever is around them” shit.

- oh my fucking god, finally onto Visoreds HOUGH. The visoreds are just soul reapers whose souls have been tampered with and merged with hollows through a process called hollowfication. They are often referred to as the “Masked Army” because they can use hollow masks that greatly enhance their power. They consist of previous captains and lieutenants (who came back in the last arc) but that’s not for any specific power-related reason? They were sent on a mission. Also they can use a hollow ability called cero, which is just a high-intensity (usually red when not used by arrancars) beam that all menos and arrancar can use. I’m actually tempted to make Dirk a visored but idk how that would work or how I could get him to that point.

There are also! Different realms!

- The world of the living, where humans reside (literally just “earth”)

- the soul society - where spirit beings live… in Japan… idk, Burn the Witch kinda confused things with Reverse London ngl… but it is home specifically to human who have passed on and soul reapers. The soul reapers live in a place called the Seireitei and the normal spirits live in something called the Rukom District/Rukongai, and there’s 320 districts (80 in North Rukongai, 80 in West Rukongai, etc). The lower the number, the more poor and violent the district. A notable district is Zakari because that is where Kenpachi Zarachi grew up and he aimed himself the “Kenpachi of Zaraki”. The soul society (technically east branch, because that’s where bleach is focused) is a mix of Japan eas. District 1 is much like early-Edo Era Kyoto, while district 80 is more like that of Heinz Era Kyoto. The Seireitei is directly within the middle of all four Rukongai.

- hell, which is where sinners live. Hollows who are killed but committed crimes when they were human will go to Hell when they are exercised by a soul reaper. Some sinners can be more powerful than others and have actual powers. I really don’t know why.

- the valley of screams, it’s a movie thing that Kubo has confirmed to be canon.

- Hueco Mundo, where hollows and arrancars reside

Now here’s for a spoiler for the actual story of Bleach.

Is it possible for a person to be a mix of all of these? Yes. It is revealed that Ichigo Kurosaki, the main protagonist of Bleach, is a visored, fullbringer, and quincy. However, that’s the short way of saying he’s: human, Quincy, fullbringer, soul reaper, and visored (so hollow and soul reaper, since only soul reapers can be visoreds). Also he’s kinda been cropping up in my images lmao 😭😭😂

I was thinking about if LOST characters had powers... sorta like HEROES or XMEN or something... So heres what I got-

Jack- Healing touch. Obviously. Its not like super POWERFUL healing but it does fluctuate with his emotions. Like the more stressed he gets the better his healing is. I think that fits Jack real well. Also its only his hands & he cant heal himself if he cant properly reach the spot (like his back)).

Kate- Shapeshifting! OBVIOUSLY. At first its limited to people similar to herself (thin white women) but as time goes on she starts learning to go crazy. But its still limited to humans.

Sawyer- Anger Empowerment! Hulk-like but without the cool transformation.

Juliet- Time Acceleration (by touch). Hear me out... she CAN heal as a doctor but if she's not paying attention the time acceleration could go so far as to even ROT whats in her hands. So shes mostly scared to use her powers.

John- Danger Detection. The trouble is hes more confident in his power than himself which causes problems(see Ben).

Ben- Mental Manipulation (voice activated, sorta like the persuasion power from HEROES). OBVIOUSLY. Ben's mental manipulation can also override Johns Danger Detection which is why John keeps getting clowned on by that gremlin. However he has a far harder time dealing with people with stronger wills.

Hurley- Empathetic Mimicry. He can use others powers with an associated feeling. Like Hurley getting pissed at Sawyer and kicking the shit outta him using his own rage based power enhancement.

Sayid- Absolute Superpower Opposition. From defending himself against Sawyer, to surviving all of Rousseaus nonsense to outplaying Ben... I think it works for him. However he can be hurt by like... guns and be regular manipulated by Ben if hes sad. But since the mundane is still a threat itd give a reason why hes still the hyper prepared little freak he is.

Sun- Mental Pressure. Her power can cause paranoia and such things. She didnt use it basically at all before the crash... but after returning home without Jin she started exercising that power. Freaking her father out and even screwing with Ben.

Jin- Enhanced Durability. Nothing has ever happened to him. Hes fine guys and if hes fine Suns fine. Guys believe me.

Charlie- Inaudibility (can be completely silent (in an AOE). Ironically (since hes a bloody rock GOD). He hated it before his addiction but then he found it to be quite useful for sneaking around.

Claire- Enhanced Survivability. She was in a house when it fuckin EXPLODED. And also lived in the woods all by herself. Shes just a creature.

Michael- Drawing Creation. Its not something hes ever thought to push. He just creates little animated cards for his son but later uses his creations to torment the people on the boat till they take themselves out.

Desmond- Precognition. Obviously. But his powers are pretty scrambled and especially so after he gets to the island. Weirdly his precog works weirdly on Sayid sometimes he gets absolutely nothing, sometimes he gets visions so clear its suspicious. He doesnt ask(it depends on whether his vision might hurt or help Sayid due Sayids ability. It either completely blocks it or enhances it).

Rousseau- Improbable Weapon Proficiency. DUH. All her weird little traps. Let her cook.

...I could do others but... I think this is good enough. I mean most are either very obvious or... like I HAVE NO IDEA. Frank has flight. Miles can talk to ghosts. Shannon... IDFK? BOONE? Honestly who cares.

Favorite Animated Tales Series/OVA: (don't say rays don't say rays don't say rays don't say stahn/leon) probably First Strike if only because it focuses on Yuri and Flynn who I love, but Abyss' anime was very solid compared to the other Tales animated series that were just heavily condensed versions (or worse in Eternia's case, not even being relevant to the main story). like, I would not recommend the animated series to anyone prior to playing the game except for Abyss, which is the full major story and I have inarguably rewatched that anime more than I've played the game. I guess in terms of general animated, FS, but in terms of actual consistency to the game it came from and dedication it had in retelling the story faithfully without skipping 80 percent of it, Abyss

Favorite Tales Outfit: RICHARD??? HEEEELLO??? not arc F though that shit is too fruity for me. also Leon has VERY enjoyably bright colors that make him stand out and as a Very Deeply Definitely Not Obsessive Leon Enjoyer, I very much love that. Aegis also has a really nice outfit. Asbel's is pretty but definitely not Richard level of I'm obsessed with this look

Innocence and Hearts both are really close runner ups tho!!! definitely the most unique in the franchise imo out of the mainline games and sadly confined to "nobody fucking cares about them and never did")

Favorite Game Ending: so that's got... layers. it really depends on the sub topic. I guess in terms of a happy ending, Graces (the Wii version specifically, getting Richard back. don't really care for the ending of arc F and lean more toward disliking it). in terms of a depressing fucking ending that makes me Very Upsetti, Destiny. there is literally nothing happy about Destiny's ending for me. like yeah we saved the world, but at a LOT of cost and it's just depressing. I've wanted to make a post about that anyway, but basically it's a type of ending they don't really make anymore (especially in Tales), and the emotional impact for me was a lot heavier than the other games, with Destiny 2 lingering right behind it. both Destiny games were just DEPRESSING, and no matter how bittersweet Destiny 2's ending was, it's still DEPRESSING. Vesperia at least had a more outright happy ending (that wasn't completely changed by a post game ending arc with a totally different ending) and I finally at that point didn't lose my favorite character to Certain Final Boss Death or Recurring Side Character I Came To Love Dying Unceremoniously and Undeserved. only a couple of top favorites actually came out of their games alive for me by Vesperia in terms of games I know + release timeline (to put it into perspective, by the time of Vesperia in release order (so not the order I played in bc I don't really remember the whole actual order at this point), out of all the games I know, my favorite character death toll was five to three survivors not counting Vesperia. still haven't played Eternia so I'm not counting that one). so I guess like, my answer is a whacky combination of Graces for the Wii, Destiny and Vesperia. maybe if Hearts hadn't killed my mans off then it could've had it all. 😔

Obviously this isn’t every piece of symbolism (especially bc the fic isn’t finished lmao) but here’s some

1. the song “nothing else matters” not only symbolizes their bond, but it also foreshadows the events of the story. for example:

“so close, no matter how far” symbolizes their ‘omfg i hate you, never leave my side’ friendship. it also foreshadows the events in chapter four and onwards. yes, they’re close, quite literally with the whole drunk cuddle session and also close in the sense that they are in love. they are also far from each other because of this very closeness.

“every day for us something new” symbolizes their silly little adventures in the show. it also foreshadows how their lives are going to change. their love for one another is far from new. but what happened in chapter four very much is, and as a result, there’s gonna be “something new” for them to handle every day (aka, the navigation of this love). and the “every day” part is literal too, because these chapters take place day by day unless otherwise specifically stated.

and there’s other lyrics that are pretty much solely foreshadowing pieces

(WARNING LMAOOO the following paragraph is very vague spoilers. can you even call it spoilers. idfk im putting it just in case. basically if you don’t want to know how the story’s structure goes, don’t read it)

the way the song progresses is also foreshadowing! the start is slow and softly sung, then they start to raise their voices. as the song goes on, they get loud. there’s a small cool-down period, then the singer not only raises his voice again, but more importantly, he sounds frustrated. they get loud again. guitar riff… aka that turning point. then finally, right after the guitar riff, that softness fades back in. without getting too spoilery, the plot plays out exactly like this.

2. okay this one is very on the nose but I have to talk about it bc i LOVE exactly that LMAOOOOO. the lyrics of “I’m so into you” are. uncannily perfect lmfao

the song appears in chapter 4 when Butt-Head has run off to flirt with Hannah. I don’t know if I portrayed this well, but Beavis was NOT jealous of Butt-Head in that scene. He was jealous of Hannah, and is just too dense to realize it. “hmmm watching butt-head flirt with that girl makes me want to blow this entire house up. damn i want her so bad” SHUT UP. okay back to the song. also yes it fits with the entire fic, but it plays during that scene specifically because of the first line:

4. sink-shitter the fox is meant to represent butt-head. an animal, scared and injured, puts on an instinctive front to protect itself, and that front involves hurting beavis, the person the animal needs to survive. and beavis, as frustrated as he is, continues to care for that animal, and loves it despite all it’s done.

“Yeah, that fox was a butthole! Like, I’m spending all this time nursing you back to health, and you have the nerve to bite me.”
