Thinking again about how Ludinus tried to pass the blame for Orym's family's deaths entirely on to Otahan, as if the Hells, and even more so, we, haven't seen over and over how he elevates to power and enables people who do truly awful things, at just enough remove to keep his hands "clean".

People like Delilah Briarwood, Trent Ikithon, Otahan Thull, and so many more. King Dwendal, probably.

We know he's willing to get his own hands dirty more privately. I think this pattern is more of a power play, but not sure.

Otahan Thull has fucked around way too much not to find out like miss girl has gone after Vax, Laudna, and Beau as if Keyleth, Imogen, and Yasha aren't some of the baddest motherfuckers in Exandria

Now that Bell's Hells have gotten significantly stronger and straits are more dire than ever, I don't want the Otahan Thull rematch to be a badass fight on even ground, I want the Hells to just curbstomp her in the first round on their way to the real fight. It would be equal parts hilarious and awesome to see a single round of Orym ripping off her backpack, Fearne locking her in place while Mister hits with a barrage of flaming shit, then the Hells just unleash a team attack on par with Vox Machina's HDYWTDT against Ripley. Maybe she can get a single turn to try to gtfo before Imogen burns her to a crisp with lightning, and Laudna finishes the job with Hunger of the Shadow because the girlies deserve a little darkness, as a treat.

I kind of hope Laudna gets to get her own back against Otohan. It’s a romantic idea Imogen would tear Otahan a new one, and we all know she will.

But I also like the idea that Laudna would give Otahan significant damage.

My main ship is Imogen/Laudna but I think my primary OTP is: Laudna/Self actualization.

Fate is one of the aspects of Dunamancy.

Thoughts on the apogee solstice so far:

1) I can’t wait to see the entirety of the legend of vox machina’s full story, then the mighty nein animated show, and then bells hells at some point. Cause I can just picture the day that this fucking scene gets animated and we get to see all these beloved characters together across campaigns and… shit. Vax showed up?! This is insane and so fucking beautiful and I so want to see everything fucking animated. The implications that this whole thing has, including with calamity. I’m just not over it. Years and years of story telling leading to this one moment where it all came together and all I can think of is the gold strings of faith on tlovm’s intro. Too much in one fucking episode.

2) wtf happens now?! Matt separated the party… and like wth happened to vax and kiki and beau and caleb? What the hell happened in general?

3) I’m still very much terrified of otahan thull. That was fucking insane. God, I’m going to enjoy when they finally get to end that woman😂

4) Imogen and Liliana fucking killed me with that natural one.

5) also, I’m so confused about what happened with the magic. Is it gone? Is Imogen going to have any powers now? I need answers.

6) I’m so ready for some angsty imodna to come my way because of the separation. Very much looking forward to seeing what that does to their relationship development.

otahan with 1, 2, 8 and 17?

1. Why do you like this character?

SO MANY REASONS. SO. MANY. Biggest one I guess is her potential? We don’t know much about her backstory, but from what we do know (war, used to warship the Duskmaven but is now trying to release a god-eater, etc) and her overall position in the story (scary) she could easily represent so many of the overarching themes of campaign 3. Which I think is neat. Also I would really like to hear her monologue about her thoughts on the gods for a bit. I’m incredibly curious.

2. Favorite canon thing about this character?

Favorite?? Uhh. Hard to choose but maybe her voice + way of speaking. She has a neat voice and she has just a really interesting (and hilarious sometimes) way of talking.

8. What's something the fandom does when it comes to this character that you despise?

There’s a subset of the fandom that calls Otohan boring. I disagree with them, but everyone’s entitled to their own opinions. However, I do NOT like when those people complain in the Otohan Thull tag itself about how awful or boring she is as a character. (Not to be confused with people in the Otohan Thull tag being scared of her or angry about the killing-beloved-characters things. Usually I agree with the “omg hot murder person with neat swords kills people and is super scary” part then laugh to myself when I see the “and I hate her for it” part.)

17. What's a ship for this character you don't hate but it's not your favorite that you're fine with?

I haven’t seen any non-sapphic ships for her yet, but I guess that? Different orientation than my headcanon but I have no problems with that lol

So, I loved last night's episode, and while I understand why people are upset that Keyleth's coming in...guys. Ludinus would squash Bells Hells like a bug. Level 16 M9 were scared of him, BH are level 8. Level 16 m9 barely took out Trent, with help. Ludinus has Otahan Thull and an army. They were never getting out of this alive without powerful help.

However! I will say that they way the message was conveyed...well, yk, Keyleth fully has friends with Sending that she could get too really quickly, Pike's even met them. And it makes absolutely no sense to me that Keyleth could send a message though a seed that Orym got in Nirdaal-Poc. And maybe there'll be an explanation for that. I hope so.

But , more than that...when I think of a seed and what it represents: growth, putting down roots, being planted, and what that might mean for Orym, who's been drifting ever since his family died...idk, I just don't like that a gift that seemed to have so much weight when it was given, ended up being something so temprary.
