The story content alot of Christmas fluff, and its about Kate Stewart and Osgood. Cause they deserve it.

The rain behind the window makes her put on music. She moved around the office to the rhythm of the song. One would not guess the woman in the dark blue suit with short blond hair is head of UNIT.

She was so lost in work and music that she missed knocking on the door. She keeps singing to herself with music and her eyes seem to be clues on papers on her table.

“How do you do... do you do,

the things that you do.

No one I know could ever keep up with you.How do you do!”

Kate's eyes widened when she heard the voice of her best scientists join her and sing along with her.

She slowly looked up from work and her expression softened like most of the time lately when she had seen her. Osgood was there with a smile on lips.

“I always thought your voice was just so brilliant “ Kate spoke when the music ended and she turned it off with control which was still on her table.

The blush spreading on her face was making her even more beautiful in Kate's eyes even when she knew it's inappropriate.

“What's the matter?” She asked like she didn't just compliment her.

“I wanted to pull you out for lunch, you always forget to eat ma'am, “ Osgood admitted as she approached the table.

Kate quickly looked at the clock on her laptop. “Oh …I would love to go!” She hesitates just for a brief moment and just only to avoid Osgood “speech “ about her needing to care for herself.

“I will take it like admitting that you didn't eat anything from morning coffee. Yes?” She asked and cross arms. Few years back she would not glare like this on Kate but now she was so worried for her.

“I run Unit …I have work to do “ Kate try to defend herself as she makes a few steps to Osgood.

“Yes but to work you need to be alive ma'am “ Osgood gave her a little grin because she felt like she just won the argument.

“Indeed.”Kate agreed and nodded “Where are we going to eat?”

“Let's go. Before you ask Ma'am I cleaned the rest of your time table for today “ She said with a little grin which still had lingerie on her lips.

“But I had an important meeting!” Kate eyes widened.

“It's nearly Christmas. We all know that alien invasion might come any day. You need a bit of rest. “Osgood spoke seriously. She was worried about Kate obviously, maybe too obviously.

Kate bites her lips “one afternoon?”

Osgood smiled “Yes “

It didn't take them long time to leave the Unit headquarters because Osgood indeed cleaned all meetings Kate was supposed to have that afternoon. Soon both women wrapped up in their coats walked outside.

“Where are we going?” Kate asked as they walked next to each other. Osgood smiled “Just a moment and you will see “ She said, pulling her to the next street where there was a small square with a beautiful Christmas tree and Christmas market.

“There is the best place to eat “Osgood said, pulling Kate hand in hers cause there had been so many people and they could get lost in the crowd and she didn't want it to happen. Their eyes met for a moment but neither of them said anything about it. Their hands fit together like they both had been part of a bigger puzzle.

Osgood smiled and kept showing her way. Then they stand before one of the small places where people could buy Christmas cookies and mulled wine. Also special meat and bread with vegetables.

“I will buy it for us.” Kate said and chuckled it wasn't so long she mentioned Osgood she missed time when she was able to be on Christmas market and have something good.

Little bit older man behind the desk smiled “Hello what would you like ? And what would your girlfriend like?”

Kate felt her cheek get so warm but she didn't even blink. “Two cups of wine and cookies and also bread for both of us, “ Kate said and squeezed Osgood's hand.

When the man gave them what Kate ordered, Osgood had to help her to take it. They find place with one of small tables aside and when they eat foe moment there was quiet till Kate didn't speak.

“I really appreciate that you took me here Os, “She said with a smile on lips. “I didn't have time for this for ages. “ She said as they could hear a new song start to play and they both burst out laughing. The song on the radio close by was How do you do they both sing just before leaving UNIT.

“I love to see you are enjoying yourself “ Osgood spoke truly. She and Kate went through alot and sometimes she wonders how her boss and long time friend still keep up and maybe hint of alcohol in Christmas wine make her saying it aloud. “It's so rare and beautiful “

Kate, who was drinking her wine, looked curiously at her and tilted her head aside. She then made a little step closer that their bodies were nearly touching. “Wrong Os , I am always enjoying myself when we are together even if it involves alien invasion “ She spoke quietly right to her cause she didn't want to scare people around them in case someone would hear them. Their eyes meet.

“Even when in that time I am worried if we make it I always enjoy it “ She added and realized how close they are standing to each other even though their breaths are nearly mingling.

She watched how Osgood's eyes moved up and the back to her eyes and lips of her own moved quickly up.

“We are standing under mistletoe “ She spoke up in surprise but her eyes moved back to Osgood's face.

“I know. “

“Do you also know the tradition ?”

“Even children know it” Osgod spoke back she was blushing yet she couldn't help herself.

“Yeah,” Kate licked her lips. “Do you ?” She still even when she know the tradition herself and even when she always liked Osgood company hesitated. She didn't want to ruin it. Or force her to anything.

“I do.” That answer was enough to make her smile and make their lips connect in the first and very soft kiss.

This will indeed be a Christmas miracle.

it took me finally watching classic who to get properly exited about the scene at the end of death in heaven where the Brigadier as a cyberman saves Kate from falling out the plane.

when I first watched it I didn't really know who the brigadier was so I didn't really care and now I actually jumped out of my seat and screamed I was so happy

Steven Moffat has admitted that he intended for Petronella Osgood to be the daughter of Tom Osgood, the UNIT soldier who worked with the Third Doctor.

However, he never stated this explicitly, as he wanted the fans to decide for themselves who she is or could be.

Ingrid Oliver, who plays her, has confirmed she made her own decision as to who survived out of the original Osgood and the Zygon copy.

But she refuses to tell anyone, including Moffat, so "you can make your own mind up."
