Red String Mug

had a ton of fun with this red string mug. Hopefully the clear glaze will highlight the red more. In the future I'll add more "pins" but I wasn't sure how overpowering the red would look (and I'm still mot certain!). I really wanted to show off the map, too! It's a map of London transfer by elan transfers!

Also fun fact I have been given 4 different interpretations of this mug! Two are cute and two are creepy! I know what I was thinking when I designed it, any interpretations?

There's a couple other adaptations, like a play, that I can't track down much additional info on, and also Wikipedia lists several video games inspired by the book but of the ones I can find more info on they mostly seem to just be inspired by the book and not really adaptations of it

I am but a measly 2:00:15 into the genre-defining "Riku is Gay" video, but like. Damn, Tennelle Flowers is a cinematic genius. I've remained so thoroughly enthralled by the tasteful spacing of audio commentary, clips from the games, and excerpts from the novels/writer interviews that I've hardly even noticed the time passing. What is this video laced with, man- I love video essays, but usually I have to rewind a gazillion times due to my attention slipping against my will.

That collage of comparison clips from KH2 Beast's arc and Riku's KH1-KH2 arc is killing me, man. Ever wish you could tattoo a part of a video to your forehead? Apparently, now I do.

i always feel like i need to explain that my reading habits are not a deliberately cultivated virtue, i'm just mentally constructed in such a way that reading certain kinds of texts is very literally a more basal function than eating or walking, & also hate the sensation of playing video games and watching tv even if i think the game or show itself is thrilling and great. plus my only other hobby is knitting which i can do while i read. this isn't some kind of moral position

not yet! It’s on my list to read someday! I just don’t have as much free time to read longer novels for fun so it may be awhile before I get to it 🥲 next on my list of Longer Novels To Read is actually The Brothers Karamazov…..hopefully…….before the end of the year….I’ll be able to get around to it…….

i'm reading orv (omniscient reader's viewpoint) but I'm doing it on webtoon which is honestly just unbearable and painful KNOWING that the complete story is out there but still having to wait a week for each update T-T

I can't sacrifice the webnovel for the novel though because 1) I've gotten accustomed to the visual stimuli of characters and i barely remember any names and 2) the way the story is translated into English (i cannot read Korean) is so painful to my brain T-T

I need like... a veteran orv fan to spoil the storyline for me atp bc this is torture

ok sorry not sorry to be a busybody about it but having gone swimming in your mlc tag, unpaid promo to Please Give The Novel A Try for a li lianhua who isn't here to be anybody's ghost (the ghost is only in other people's eyes!! yes there was hatred once but he's already moved on babey!! and spends 95% of the novel being a lil shit and living his Best Life) (also the turnips convo with biqiu is literally from the novel, that's novel!lianhua talking) + happier endings all around (imo)

aaaaaa hello!! i would love to read the novel and maybe i'll work up to it someday (this sounds GREAT), but the thing is my chinese proficiency isn't good enough yet 😔 i've only just started out being able to read fic set in the present day in the last couple months and i am not trusting whatever a mtl version will spit out if i just input the text into a translator, unfortunately. i am very much bookmarking the link though and i really hope that one day my reading will be good enough!!
