lol there’s nothing better to teach you the anatomy of an animal than sculpting them. I caught myself adding canine features to my thylacine’s face a couple times and then had to figure out where I went wrong and how it was different. I’m 100% sure there’s still plenty wrong, but it’s looking a lot more thylacine than before

I haven’t finished him yet, but here’s the stripes!

(I also gave him something to sit on, so he’s more stable)

Each skull was sculpted manually (no slip casting etc) and decorated with various materials + decalcomania. These skulls are only a portion of the project, other things include jewelry, posters, serigraphs and other sculptures.
