Summary: Ozzy Moo-ller just became the new kid at Monster High. He meets Kieran Valentine and develops a blossoming friendship with him, not knowing what his past was. Everyone told him what Kieran did trying to warn him about the vampire but he did what he wanted to do.

I walked into my school for the first time with the feeling of anxiety going through my body. I moved from the south all the way to New Salem where my new school is at. I looked and saw monsters of all kinds walk through the Coffin Corridor. Everyone looked super nice but I still couldn’t help but feel a little scared.

I had to meet up with someone named Clawd Wolf since he was going to show me around the school. A tall werewolf with sweet golden eyes came up to me.

“Hey!” He started, “I’m Clawd Wolf. You must be Ozzy Moo-ller, am I right?”

He put his hand out to shake it. I took his hand and we started to walk around the school. He showed me around and let me know where the hotspots for fangouts were. He was really chill and he said that If I needed anything I could ask him.

The rest of the school day went on and I have to say, everyone is super nice. I think I’m definitely gonna enjoy it here.

After a few weeks of moving to Monster High, I made a few friends.

I was walking to Study Howl with my two friends Johnny Spirit and Operetta when I accidentally walked into someone.

“Oh my ghoul!” I said helping him up, “I’m so sorry.”

I looked in his bright rosy eyes for a second, fazed with a feeling of butterflies in my stomach.

“You’re fine.” He said as he walked away, his shaggy dark brown and red hair falling in front of his enchanting eyes before he moved it away.

I stood there for a second taking in the feelings I felt until Operetta shook my shoulder.

“You alright, hon?” She asked me.

“Yeah, I’m good.” I said turning to her and Johnny, “Who was that?”

“Trust me, you don’t want to get mixed up with him.” She said as we started walking.

“That’s Kieran Valentine. He’s awful.” Johnny spat in.

“Why? What’d he do?”

“You should ask Claw what happened.”

We walked the rest of the way to class while Johnny and Operetta would talk about music. I was quiet the whole time. I just couldn’t get his captivating eyes out of my mind. He seems so nice. I don’t know how he could be a bad monster.

After Study Howl I met up with Clawd and Dracularua, his ghoulfriend, to talk about Valentine and what happened between them. Clawd and Dracularua told me how he came to Monster High to steal Dracualrua’s love for power. I couldn’t really believe what they were saying… I mean he didn’t seem like the type of monster to do that.

I said thank you to them and left. On my way to my locker, I saw him again. He was standing by my locker reading a book.

“Hey!” I yelled, trying to get his attention.

He looked up with a puzzled expression. When he saw me, he closed his book and walked over to me.

“Hello,” He started saying, a fake southern accent coming out, “I was waiting for you.”

“What? Why?”

“You dropped this,” He held out one of my pins. I must’ve dropped it when we bumped into each other… He gave it back to me and started to walk away.

“Wait!” I spoke. He turned around. Those beautiful eyes looked back at me. “Do you maybe wanna walk with me to your next class?”

“Oh,” He started blushing and looked surprised that I asked him my question, “You want to walk with me?”

“I mean… yeah. That’s why I asked.”

“Well then I would love too.”

We walked and started talking about random things like where we use to live and things we liked. He was actually super chill.

It’s been about a couple months since Valentine and I became friends and I’ve been getting a lot of warnings from my friends saying how I should stay away from Valentine.

I know what he did in the past and I even talked to him about it. He told me exactly what Clawd and Dracularua told me and how he’s changed. He feels bad about what happened in the past and how he tried to make up for it. He did change, it's just no one would give him a chance.

Valentine and I were walking home from school when we saw Clawd and Draculaura. Clawd and I got into an argument a couple days ago because he found out how Valentine and I became friends.

Clawd started giving us glaring looks. Valentine seemed to be very uncomfortable and upset about how Clawd was looking at us. I know he tries his best to keep his distance from him.

We passed each other and kept walking. Valentine was quite the rest of the way. When we got to his house, he started to open his front door until I yelled his name. He turned around and I immediately remembered how beautiful and charming his eyes were.

“I want to tell you something, Valentine.” I uttered.

“What is it?”

“I really like you man. Like more than a friend should. More in a romantic way and I understand if you don’t like me back but I can’t help how I feel about you.”

“Oh…” He mumbled as he looked down. “Ozzy, I’m sorry but I’m dating someone already. I’m sorry if I led you on or anything.”

I looked at him and felt crushed.

“Who is it?” I asked, trying to keep my tears down.

“Spelldon Cauldronello…”

“Are you happy with him?”

“Yeah, I am.”

“Well that’s all that matters then,” I said giving a sad smile. I walked away before he could say anything else to me.

I knew him and I wouldn’t be together. No matter how much I like him it wouldn’ happen. I knew it all along and yet I still made myself feel heartache. I guess it’s karma for how idiotic I was, right?

a gentle knock at operetta’s front door was heard as the ghost finally arrived at her home. johnny was only running about five minutes late, but it was only because he had gotten into some bad traffic. a few zombies had decided to throw a parade on the street he had to always pass by to make his way to his ghoulfriend’s. the cars had been backed up bumper to bumper, because the zombies were remarkably slow and took forever to clear up the parade. johnny let out an annoyed sigh, pulling out his phone and texting her to let him know that he was finally there.

for their date, he had decided to get operetta something to make her feel a little extra special. after all, he had been gone for a week touring colleges and had missed the ghoul like crazy. he wanted her to see just how much he loved and appreciated her, so he had bought her a bouquet of fresh, sweet-smelling black and red roses. before he had met operetta, he wasn’t much for sappy little things such as this gift of affection he had gotten for her. but, she had changed him a lot, especially the way he saw unlife in general.

JUDGING RANDOMISED MONSTER HIGH/EVER AFTER HIGH SHIPS

Last night I had no internet, so I put the names of 16 MH characters and 16 EAH characters in a hat, shook it around a little and then produced all the names into 16 ships. I will then be ranking them (and maybe adding a couple of headcanons and such because this is mY POST).

Put under the cut because of how long it is.

1.       Raven Queen x Hopper Croakington

Not one I expected for this and honestly, I can’t think of anything for them. They seem like the kind of ones to have gone on one date before Raven decided she doesn’t have time to deal with his inability to talk to her and constant simping over Briar.

3/10. Barely any vibes, let alone good or bad vibes :/

 2.       Frankie Stein x Sirena Von Boo

This one could be cute, Frankie tutoring Sirena in Mad Science and both of them slowly getting crushes on each other, though Sirena not wanting to break the bro code of not dating your friend’s ex. Both have such drastically different dumbass energies and I love it.

6/10. I can see this being a cute little relationship.

 3.       Johnny Spirit x Cerise Hood

Oh damn. Needless to say, Cerise would not take any of Johnny’s shit, perceived bad boy or not. I feel like they are both drastically different when they get into relationships, with Johnny being the type to make big romantic gestures, whereas Cerise is all about the small details. They would probably be p good for each other.

8/10. This is honestly really cute tbh.

 4.       Briar Beauty x Andy Beast

This could be funny, an opposites attract sort of situation. Briar being the extroverted thrill seeker she is, whereas Andy being a more socially awkward technologically-behind guy. I can see Briar sitting with Andy and showing him how to use various different types of teach, and Andy talking to Briar about Skull Shores and carrying her to bed when she inevitably falls asleep around him.

9/10. The Vibes are toit.

 5.       Daring Charming x Gigi Grant

First of all, Gigi deserves better so let’s jot that the fuck down. And I can’t really see her getting along with Daring, who would 100% try and use her for selfish wishes.

0/10. The vibes are rancid.

 6.       Faybelle Thorn x Clawd Wolf

Clawd does not deserve this. Faybelle would use his trusting nature and loyalty to her benefit and then dump him when his usefulness had stopped, smh. She needs to be called out on her shit.

 7.       Cedar Wood x Porter Geiss

YEEEEEEEES. The vibes on this are so fucking good. Just- the duo meeting because Porter’s doing some stupid shit and accidentally knocks her art supplies down and then they get started talking on art. They would 100% have dates which is just the both of them painting each other and talking and being wholesome. Porter has her back whenever she may need help and will knock anybody out who insults his beautiful girlfriend. He is the personification of that one Will Smith picture where he’s showing off his wife.

 8.       C.A. Cupid x Deuce Gorgon

Probably happens in a verse where he and Cleo aren’t a thing. Just talking about Greek shit™ together. The softest fucking dates. Both of them would be so fucking devoted in a relationship. I see them more as friends, but even that potential was wasted.

4/10. I can’t see them as a couple too much, but 10/10 friends.

 9.       Draculaura x Chase Redford.

Okay these two would be adorable, even if just aesthetically. Chase being a soft dumbass who is constantly in awe of his tiny vamp gf. She doesn’t always understand all the rules that are put in place, but she thinks it’s cute he’s so passionate about them.

 10.   Alistair Wonderland x Vandala Doubloons.

Adventure buddies to lovers. Alistair showing Vandala around Wonderland and generally helping her trust solids, let alone humans more. They would probably develop a lot of inside jokes nobody else would get. Vandala teaching Alistair to swordfight for that romantic tension. Dumbasses who just love adventure and accidentally fell in love along the way.

9/10. Pretty hecking sweet.

11.   Hunter Huntsman x Duchess Swan

Unless it’s some sort of Rivals to friends to lovers it wouldn’t happen. They might be interesting with the dichotomy of hunter / animal that can often be hunted. Hunter would probably have his work cut out making Duchess a semi-decent person.

6/10. Sweet concept but I can’t see it from where they are in the series.

 12.   Operetta x Darling Charming

Strong independent lady musician x Strong independent lady knight. I LOVE IT. They would be such an iconic power couple and honestly, we stan. Operetta taking no shite from the Charming family about what a woman should or shouldn’t be and setting them in their places. I adooooore this.

10/10. It’s amazing.

 13.   Maddie Hatter x Venus McFlytrap

Venus would be dumbfounded by most of the shit Maddie says, but probably would appreciate the help that Maddie could and likely would provide for the cause of preserving the flora of the planet. She’d likely love to hear about Wonderland and the plants there.

 14.   Heath Burns x Dexter Charming

Awkward nerd x extroverted dumbass is an amazing trope. Heath and Dexter becoming flustered dumbasses around one another, but not realising as all their friends try and explain that they like each other. Heath would 100% be the one to confess first because it’s Heath™. Just… soft, stupid dumbasses.

8/10. Good bois. I’m lov.

 15.   Cleo deNile x Lizzie Hearts.

UTTER POWER COUPLE. The energy these girls have together is wonderful. Two powerful princesses who would utterly rule wherever they saw fit. Someone tries to insult Lizzie, they get roasted to filth by Cleo and if they try anything with Lizzie? Off with their head. They are both so sweet towards each other, with Lizzie making outfits for Cleo whenever she asks for it and Cleo being down to model for her girlfriend whenever she asks. They’re both so in love and soft for each other, though may have a couple of fights because they both have such strong personalities, though would always make it out the other end stronger for it

I can’t really see this one, I can see them maybe being friends but… anything beyond that isn’t really.

Chapter five - Being in Denile

Cleo strutted down the hallway in front of all of her loyal subjects. Some smiling and waving, others, mostly Clawdeen scowling and rolling their eyes. She blew kisses and waved back as she made her way to her locker. As she opened it a note fell to her feet. She picked the note expecting the usual, either a girl begging to be on the cheer squad or a guy begging her for a date.

'I hope you had a good time this summer,

I sure did'

She quickly folded the letter in half multiple times and shoved it into her purse. She knew exactly what it meant and who it was about. For a moment the note made her smile but she immediately thought about the consequences of her actions. Clawdeen and Draculaura soon approached Cleo, Clawdeen being reluctantly dragged by Draculaura.

"Hey Cleo, did you have a good summer in Greece?" Draculaura excitedly beamed. "I bet you saw so many hot guys,"

Cleo sighed. "Yeah, so many.."

"Must be nice, I was stuck on a rickety boat touching worms all day" Clawdeen tutted.

"Yikes, yeah your brother told me you weren't having fun," Cleo coughed at the thought.

Clawdeen rolled her eyes once more. "Yeah I forgot you and Clawd are besties now" She tutted. "I'm surprised you even got in that car this morning, I thought it wouldn't be up to your standards,"

While Cleo wouldn't have said it to his face Clawdeen wasn't wrong. Clawd's old car wasn't exactly luxurious, nor should it have been road legal. But Cleo understood that the car itself had been a hand down from their dad so she didn't really feel comfortable being honest about it's condition.

"I guess you could call it retro," She giggled trying not to sound stuck-up. "Besides I'm not interested in Clawd for his car, I like uh his umm"

"Definitely not those god awful mutton chops," Clawdeen howled.

"At least he can grow facial hair," Draculaura chuckled in her high pitch cadence.

The girls formed a three way line and strutted off towards the girls bathroom. They stood hogging the mirrors even through Draculaura couldn't see herself. Clawdeen would fix Draculaura's makeup and hair for her instead. The bathroom stalls were all empty but one. When Clawdeen checked underneath she couldn't see any feet touching the ground. She banged on the door as loud as she could.

"I don't think anyone's in there," She stated. "I gotta go to the library so I'll catch up with you guys in class,"

After Clawdeen abruptlyleft Draculaura and Cleo continued to apply their makeup and adjust their clothes. Cleo couldn't stop thinking about the note in her purse. It felt like it was burning a hole in her bag. She sighed deeply.

"Drac can I tell you something?" Cleo turned to her looking distressed.

"Oh my ghoul are you coming out to me?" She immediately jumped to.

"What!- No!" Cleo defended. "It's about Clawd and someone else.."

"A girl?" Draculaura continued.

Cleo stomped the ground with her heel. "No Draculaura a guy" she grunted. "I met up with a guy while I was in Greece, and he goes to school here, and I can't tell Clawdeen because she'll have my head on a spike"

Draculaura with her jaw hung open and eyes widely lit immediately grabbed Cleo's shoulders. "Cleo you naughty ghoul," she teased. "But wow poor Clawd,"

Cleo sighed once more but this time out of sympathy. "Yeah I know, he's a nice guy but we just don't click like me and this other guy did," Cleo screwed the note into a ball and threw it into the grey trash can. "I know I should break up with him, but Nefera told my dad that I was dating the basketball captain and he seemed so proud of me and-"

Draculaura grabbed Cleo tightly. "I get it, you're not the only person with an incredibly overbearing dad," Draculaura grabbed Cleo's hand. "C'mon let's ask Ghoulia, she always knows what to do,"

"She'll probably just tell me to do the right thing and tell them both the truth, she's no fun!" Cleo huffed as Drac dragged her out of the bathroom.

As the two exited the room a pair of purple boots lowered through the bottom space of the stall. It swung open with a thud against the wall and a gangly pale figure floated out. She had long purple hair that trailed further than her body length. Her eyes were wide and had no whites, only a misty purple glow to them. She giggled to herself as she realised the perfect crime was laid right infront of her. Gently picking the note out of the trash she saw the boys poor scrawl of a confession.

This was perfect. Finally someone had some real tangible evidence to strike Cleo from her throne. Cleo begging on her knees felt like the ultimate power move. She knew she had to make quick work of this. She promptlyfloated away into the ceiling, continuing to cackle as she did.

Monster College Part 3

Rating PG, warnings mentions of underage drinking (not portrayed positively), and prescription medications (used as prescribed). 

Characters: Deuce Gorgon, Jackson Jekyll, Operetta, Cleo de Nile, Invisi-Billy, Frankie Stein, Robecca Steam, and Toralei Stripes

   After convincing Jackson to come out from hiding, Deuce decided to go back to his dorm room to meet his overly clingy girlfriend, Cleo de Nile. She insisted on spending every free moment with him.

The mummy princess laid sprawled on her back on Deuce’s bed. “We are totally going to Operetta’s party tonight, and then we need to have to throw one of our own,” Cleo told her boyfriend.

Deuce sighed, “Things are different now. I am going to have a lot of homework for my culinary arts degree. I also am going to have bi-weekly labs I need to be prepared for, and I still want to play basketball with Clawd and Heath sometimes, so I won’t always be able to be at your beck and call,” the gorgon boy explained.

“But Deuce,” the mummy princess cried, “we always do everything together.”

“Not everything,” Deuce countered.

“You know what I mean,” Cleo looked like she was about to throw one of her famous royal hissy fits.    

        Before Cleo could escalate, Jackson burst in through the door. Catching both Cleo and Deuce by surprise. Deuce turned towards Jackson and whispered, “Thanks, I owe you bro,”

The nerdy human boy shrugged his shoulders and sat down at his desk, he began to pull out the note books where he had written down all his homework.

“You’re just going to let him sit there, while we are in here?” Cleo asked Deuce with disgust.

“Well it’s his room too,” Deuce explained, “I’ve been thinking Cleo, it might be best if we have some space from each other.”

Cleo got a dumbfounded expression on her face. “I give you space,” Cleo was horrified that her boyfriend would make such a statement.  “I always give you space,”

 Deuce clicked his tongue, “No you don’t, when we were in high school you would barely let me leave to go to the men’s bathroom.” Deuce knew he wasn’t going to win this, but he could make it sound less bad. “I’m not breaking up with you, I’ll even go to Operetta’s party with you. I just can’t spend all my time with you,” the gorgon boy explained.  The look Cleo got on her face suggested that she might have actually understood him.

 “I didn’t realize you were throwing a party,” Invisi-Billy admitted.

 “Well, Johnny and I thought it would a clawsome way to start the school year before we hit the grind. You can invite Scarah, she’s still your huckleberry, ain’t she,” Operetta shot Billy a sassy glance.  

 “Um, yes. I just don’t know if this kind of party is really her thing.” The disappearing boy admitted.    

“You don’t have to worry. It’s not some crazy party, just some cool music played by Johnny and me and some pizza and soda pop. There absolutely will not be any booze, everyone but Johnny and Valentine are underage. I may not like rules, but I don’t want to spend the rest of my days doing the jail house rock.”  The Phantom’s daughter gave Billy a great big smile as she started to walk away she called out one more thing with a laugh, “Be there or be square,”

Back at the dorm Deuce and Cleo were helping Jackson decide what to wear to Operetta’s party in hopes of impressing Frankie. “Jackson, why are all your clothes almost the same,” the mummy princess said with disgust in her voice. Jackson awkwardly shrugged his shoulders. Cleo pulled a pair of blue plaid shorts and a yellow polo shirt from Jackson’s dresser, “These will be prefect.  Put them on a see how they look,” Cleo ordered the human boy.

“Just don’t look while I change,” Jackson snapped.

Jackson felt awkward in the clothes, “I look stupid,” he lamented.

“You look amazing,” Cleo gushed, “now we just need to slick back all your out of control hair.”  The mummy princess sprayed some sort of gel like substance in Jacksons black hair with yellow tips that were caused by a lab accident. She pulled hard with a comb until his hair finally slicked down. “Do you have any contacts?” she asked him,

Jackson sighed, “No, my eyes are to sensitive for that. But I do have prescription sunglasses,” the nerdy human boy offered.

“It’s at night and you don’t have Deuce’s petrifying ability, stick with the regular glasses. I’ll just put some of this magical acne cream invented by Great Uncle Tut. Then you will perfect. Frankie will be so impressed.”  

 Meanwhile, Invisi-Billy sat in his room. Heath was playing Graveyard Dash 5 on his x-box. Robecca Steam sat next to Billy on his bed. Robecca was a steampunk robot who had been built in Victorian England, though she was technically really old she was young at heart and  an amazing listener.

“I don’t know how to tell Scarah that I want to change my major?” the invisible boy asked his robotic friend, “She was so excited about me wanting to become a doctor. I don’t know how my parents will feel about it either.” A small tear rolled down Billy’s pale face.

 “If they truly love you, they will support you in whatever you choose to do educationally.” Robecca said in her in her charming British accent.  

“Thank you,” Billy said with a smile, “you are a great listener.”

        Operetta’s party at the student union was up to an awesome start.  She was playing a gentle Rockabilly tune on her bass guitar, and Johnny Spirit accompanied her on his fiddle. The Rockabilly phantom and the ghostly greaser were taking care to not play there music too loud for Jackson’s sake. Cleo and Deuce, Lagoona and Gil were dancing in pairs to the music. Billy and Scarah were talking to each other by the food table, and Heath was trying to flirt awkwardly with Abbey Bominable.

  While all this was going on, Jackson sat by himself away from the stage. Frankie, the daughter of Frankenstein’s monster, spied him right away. She was wearing a blue plaid print party dress with a yellow sweater. Frankie’s black and white hair was styled in away that Jackson found beautiful. “What are you wearing?” she asked with a laugh.  

 Jackson gave a small chuckle, “Cleo chose this outfit.”

    “It shows. It looks a bit flashy for you,” the stitched together girl explained.

    “You don’t like it?” Jackson asked with a tone of concern in his voice.

     “I do like it, I love anything you wear, because I love you,” Frankie explained.

    “Have you been taking your anxiety medication? You’ve seen a bit more high-strung than normal.” The Frankenstein girl explained.  

 “I’ve been taking it as prescribed” Jackson explained, “I’m just having a difficult time adjusting to the changes of going away for college for the first time.”

      Frankie looked at Jackson sympathetically, she reached out and gently touched his hand, “We’ll get through this together”.

A young male vampire walked up to the stage. His was dressed in black dress coat, crimson waist coat, paired with a white ruffle shirt accented with gold jewelry, all trademarks of Valentine, a once suiter of Draculaura who had once liked to collect broken hearts. “I would like to request a song,” he called out in his Southern accent.

“Ok, sugar plum, but me and Johnny here have one more in our line up first,” Operetta called out.

The Rockabilly phantom and the ghostly greaser started to play an upbeat toon. “Deep down in Louisiana close to New Orleans, way back in the woods among the evergreens, There stood a log cabin made of earth and wood, And lived a country boy named Johnny B Goode,” Operetta and Johnny Spirit sang together, “ he never learned to read or write to well but he could play a guitar like ringing a bell, Go Johnny Go, Go Joh—” a loud noise interrupted the song.

It sounded almost like gunshots at first but then became it was terrible hip-hop music being blasted through a boombox. “You didn’t think you could have a party and not invite me,” Toralei the catty and conceited orange were-cat meowed.  

 Operetta grew mad, “I didn’t invite you because you remind me of a word that begins a “B” and rhymes with “hitch”, you are selfish and think it’s fun to ruin things that are important to other people.” The Rockabilly phantom was getting steamed, her light lilac color face started to turn red.

“But Operetta,” Toralei said coyishly, “ I don’t think only of myself. That’s why I had Manny bring the booze.”

A look of horror came over the faces of many of the monsters at the party. Before anyone could say anything, the large Minotaur burst in with a keg over each shoulder, followed by some fraternity goons carrying other cases of alcoholic beverages.

“Please take your booze and leave,” Robecca demanded. But unfortunately, her voice was drowned out by the goons yelling, and the booming hip-hop music.

“Please stop!!!” Jackson yelled out in panic as he tried to cover his ears, but it was no use. He had already started to transform.
