MEDICAL REQUEST REPORT
DRC, Prenatal Division, Gestational Support Division
To: Operations Oversight Committee
From: Dr. [REDACTED], Gestational Support Division, Head of Dermatology
Date: [REDACTED]
Subject: Increased Demand for Dermatological Supplies
Overview
The Dermatology Department has observed a significant increase in cases of nipple irritation and related dermatological complications associated with excessive lactation and weight gain among surrogates. This trend has created an acute demand for additional moisturizing lotions, ointments, and specialized care supplies, which our department currently lacks the funds or infrastructure to provide.
I. Key Observations:
Excessive Lactation
Surrogates carrying large multiples exhibit abnormally high milk production starting in mid to late-term gestation (15-20 days). This leads to skin overhydration, irritation, and cracking of the nipple and surrounding areolar tissue.
Nipple Irritation
Constant leakage causes persistent dampness, fostering irritation and increasing susceptibility to [REDACTED].
Friction from improperly fitted paternity garments exacerbates the problem, causing rawness in extreme cases.
Complications
Reports of dermatitis have risen by 37% over the past quarter, requiring additional intervention.
II. Lactation Volume Trends
Generally, surrogates at +15 days gestation can lactate up to 1 gallon or more of milk daily. This necessitates additional accommodations for milking and storage capabilities. The substantial output directly results from enhanced hormonal protocols, multi-fetal pregnancies, and specialized dietary regimens designed to maximize pre-natal milk supply.
"I wake up drenched, and the fabric sticks to me. My chest is so heavy it’s pulling my shoulders forward, and it feels like my back is going to snap. My pecs are always sore, and the creams don’t do much. It’s not funny when you can’t sleep because it feels like your chest is wetting itself." - Surrogate S136-645-L, 27 days gestation with dodecuplets (12)
Due to the extraordinary lactation demands, the average pectoral size for surrogates has risen to K or larger. This unprecedented increase in breast size presents unique challenges:
Physical Strain: The weight of milk-filled pectorals, combined with the already substantial physical burden of multi-fetal pregnancies, significantly increases strain on the back, shoulders, and chest.
Clothing Requirements: Standard paternity garments cannot support surrogates with such large pectoral sizes. Custom-fitted or medical-grade support is necessary to reduce discomfort and prevent long-term musculoskeletal issues.
Dermatological Concerns: The enlarged size and volume contribute to persistent skin irritation, chafing, and [REDACTED]. Prolonged dampness from lactation leakage exacerbates these conditions, emphasizing the need for high-quality emollients, breathable fabrics, and anti-[REDACTED] treatments.
III. Stretch Mark Management
The extreme abdominal growth observed in surrogates has resulted in widespread reports of severe stretch marks accompanied by skin tearing and irritation. The epidermis’s inability to maintain elasticity under such extreme strain has led to:
Deep dermal tears across the abdomen and sides, causing discomfort and risk of infection.
Skin discoloration and prolonged inflammation complications have led to [REDACTED].
"The stretch marks are everywhere — they itch like crazy. My belly is so big it rubs against my legs so badly when I walk. I’ve been using diaper cream because that’s all they have, and even that’s running out. It’s humiliating to ask for more!" - Surrogate S112-529-P, 30 days gestation with sexdecuplets (16)
Recommendations:
Increase inventory of stretch mark creams containing high-grade hyaluronic acid and retinol to improve skin elasticity and promote healing.
Provide surrogates with access to medical-grade silicone sheets for scar prevention.
Weight Gain and Related Complications
The rapid weight gain associated with multi-fetal pregnancies has also resulted in significant dermatological challenges in the buttocks and upper thigh areas. Reports of chafing, redness, and [REDACTED] have increased as surrogates struggle to manage:
Localized inflammation due to friction from excess weight.
Moisture buildup leads to skin irritation, particularly in the thighs and lower back creases.
"The swelling, the stretching, the leaking — it never ends. My pecs are so big they hit my belly like doorbell knockers whenever I walk. My nipples are basically faucets from the constant milk flow." - Surrogate S126-773-O, 28 days gestation with quindecuplets (15)
IV. Resource Needs
To address these challenges and maintain operational efficiency, the Dermatology Department formally requests the following:
Increased Lotion Supply
The current inventory of emollients and specialized nipple creams, including higher volumes of lanolin-based creams, breathable clothing, and anti-[REDACTED] treatments.
Provide high quantities of zinc oxide-based diaper creams to prevent and treat skin irritation caused by chafing and moisture.
Enhanced Clothing Options
Access to soft, breathable paternity garments designed to minimize friction and wick moisture is urgently needed. Custom-fitted support designed for surrogates with K-pectoral sizes or larger.
Additional Staff Support
More trained dermatological aides are required to handle the increasing caseload effectively.
Regularly monitoring surrogate health to preempt complications arising from excessive milk production and epidermal strain.
V. Impact on Compound Operations
Failure to address these dermatological issues promptly risks:
Reduced surrogate comfort, leading to lower compliance and increased resistance.
Escalated medical costs due to untreated infections and complications.
Conclusion
The Dermatology Department strongly advises immediate approval of the requested resources to mitigate these challenges and ensure the continued efficiency of the compound’s operations. Please prioritize the allocation of additional lotions, creams, and suitable clothing options for surrogates experiencing these conditions.

From: Director [REDACTED]
Date: [REDACTED]
Subject: RE: Increased Demand for Dermatological Supplies
Following your memorandum's review, I approve the request for the increased lotion supply and additional staff support to manage the complications among surrogates.
However, the request for enhanced clothing options is denied at this time. While clothing-related discomfort is acknowledged, allocating resources to garments over medical supplies is not justifiable under current conditions. Prioritizing lotion supplies and preventative care will address most dermatological concerns without incurring unnecessary costs. Surrogates will continue wearing standard paternity garments or nothing at all (for late-term surrogates), and this decision will be reassessed during the next yearly review if issues persist.
Moving forward, while their discomfort is noted, surrogates are to remain functional assets. I expect your team to focus on preventative care and rapid treatment protocols to maintain compliance and meet compound objectives.

Early Morning Post of a Pressure OC I decided to make because I can and I had a stupid Dynamic Head lying about in my inventory on Roblox. I also have some simple lore for it which i'll happily share below:
---------------------------------
Z-920: "The Plastic Dino" / Benedict [L-RP - 23056] A mysterious Plastic Dino that seemed to pose no threat was kept in a small locked drawer by a scientist. One day, this drawer was opened the plastic dinosaur was gone, the Scientist had forgotten about it anyways at the time. Until a report came through a LR-P had been slaughtered and their head was now the Plastic Dino. Veins seemed to come from the feet of the dino when removal was attempted, but it was impossible. Although the dino seemed to be no harm, they were temporarily put it into containment until further testing was done.
Infact, the Plastic Dino was soon to be identified as a new host for the LR-P, and could easily disconnect and reconnect from itself and would sometimes be found on the floor next to a limp over corpse of the LR-P before reattaching itself after a few hours of sitting or laying on the ground. It is unable to communicate although all functions such as breathing, eating, sleeping and drinking are no longer neccessary. The corpse doesn't show signs of decomposition either besides decolouration of the skin. Soon enough, a Senior Scientist within Urbanshade put a fish-bowl on it, superglueing it down to keep it from falling off, "As a joke to see what would happen". And infact, it kept the Dinosaur from deattaching from the corpse, removing the idea that it simply teleports or manifests itself into different locations, and has a natural form of movement which still isn't known.
Now the LR-P is kept around to do its usual duties around Urbanshade, using paper to communicate. It doesn't seem to bring any harm, and brings a good laugh to the other staff it works with. Currently it is attempting to be taught Sign-language by the Senior Scientist that put the fishbowl on its head. Whilst it does co-operate, it does occasionally try to remove the fish-bowl from its head, which is usually unsuccessful. The Senior Scientist is told to keep an eye out if it does manage to get said Fishbowl removed.
FURTHER NOTE AS OF [REDACTED]: Currently pending promotion to MR-P.
---------------------------------
Realised my mistake on the After MR-P Promotion outfit.. Didn't actually change the text from LR-P to MR-P. Oh well. XD

"Kleopatra II, as the first basilissa spousal co-ruler, jointly held power with Ptolemy VI, and then Ptolemy VIII, during which time she saw to the political, religious, and international affairs of Egypt. She was also the first basilissa-regnant, ruling the administrative center of Egypt on her own for a period of at least three to four years. Her ability to rule Alexandria on her own and her feminization of the dating protocol would allow several successive queens to follow in her footsteps, most notably, Kleopatra VII."
— Tara L. Sewell-Lasater, Becoming Kleopatra: Ptolemaic Royal Marriage, Incest, and the Path to Female Rule (Dissertation, University of Houston) / Anne Bielman Sánchez and Giuseppina Lenzo, "Ptolemaic Royal Women", The Routledge Companion to Women and Monarchy in the Ancient Mediterranean World
"Kleopatra I left behind her three minor children: Ptolemy VI, his sister Kleopatra II, and his brother Ptolemy VIII. To strengthen this fragile royal power base, two operations were carried out: first, a marriage between Ptolemy VI and his younger sister was conducted in the spring of 175, then joint rule was established between the three siblings in 170. Even if Kleopatra II appears in the protocols of this ruling trio only in final position, behind the two kings, she nevertheless played a political role by mediating between her brothers in the Sixth Syrian War (Liv. 44.19.6; 45.11.3 and 6).
After the reconciliation of the siblings in 168, the ruling trio was active again, but tensions persisted and led to a split in 163: Ptolemy VIII became king of Kyrenaika while Ptolemy VI and his sister-wife began a joint rule over Egypt and Cyprus, a rule that lasted until the death of Ptolemy VI in 145. The queen then appears in all Greek and demotic protocols, in second position behind Ptolemy VI, and is often referred to as the “sister” or “sister and wife” (of the king). In addition, she officially participates in the management of the kingdom: the two sovereigns are invoked in the oaths of Egyptians and they receive petitions and reports in both their names and co-sign some royal orders and letters to officials. The honors for the queen and her husband in several gymnasiums in Kypros and Egypt confirm that she was considered the king’s partner by Greco-Macedonian inhabitants of Egypt.
The death of Ptolemy VI in the summer of 145 put an end to this duo and promoted Ptolemy VIII’s ambitions. Indeed, the option of a joint rule between Kleopatra II and her minor son is abandoned in favor of a joint rule between Kleopatra II and Ptolemy VIII. Through these events, the queen appears to be the legitimizing element of Ptolemaic power. In the protocols of the new joint rule, Kleopatra II regains her rank behind the king as well as her title of “sister” or “sister and wife” (of the king), while her role as an effective co-ruler of the kingdom seems to have been maintained. While the marriage in 141/140 of Ptolemy VIII and his niece—the daughter of Kleopatra II and Ptolemy VI—led to a ruling trio, Kleopatra II kept her place in the new configuration: she appears in the second rank, behind the king, and is generally called “the sister” to distinguish herself from Kleopatra III, who is called “the wife.”.
The agreement between the trio shattered in 132, when the Alexandrians drove out Ptolemy VIII and Kleopatra III, and supported Kleopatra II. Kleopatra II’s two sons (one born of Ptolemy VI, the other of Ptolemy VIII) were murdered by order of Ptolemy VIII to prevent the queen from forming a joint rule with one of them. Kleopatra II was then forced to assume sole royal power: in 131 and 130, documents from cities in the south of the country (notably Thebes) mention a new sequence of regnal years, and a protocol of a Greek papyrus from Hermonthis is dated “under the reign of Kleopatra, goddess Philometor Soteira” (P. Baden Gr. II.2, October 29, 130).
After the failure of an alliance attempt with her son-in-law, the Seleukid king Demetrios II, Kleopatra II facing the military reconquest of the country by Ptolemy VIII, left Egypt in 127 and took refuge at the Seleukid court. However, her royal career was not over: in 124, thanks to negotiations between Ptolemies and Seleukids, she returned to a ruling trio with Ptolemy VIII and Kleopatra III, and regained the same rank and title as before the civil war. Finally, we cannot rule out the possibility that, after the death of Ptolemy VIII in 116, Kleopatra II briefly participated in a ruling trio with Kleopatra III and her son Ptolemy IX. She probably died in 115.
As a partner in six joint rules, Kleopatra II sets the record for the longest reign of a queen on the Ptolemaic throne (55 years)."

Just Give us a Reason to Compete
“I’m just saying, of the two of us, one is clearly a better speller than the other,” Deeks proclaimed as he and Kensi walked into the bullpen.
“Deeks, I misspelled one word. It’s not that big a deal,” Kensi insisted, tossing her bag onto her already crowded desk. Callen reached out to catch a bottle of lotion. “And that was autocorrect’s fault.
“Uh-huh. Sure.”
“Hey, guys,” Nell said. “Do we want to know what’s going on?
“Kensi can’t spell,” Deeks announced loudly, before Kensi could respond. She rounded on him with a glare, and Deeks grinned back at her. He could tell it wasn’t true anger, so he didn’t feel all that bad about teasing her.
“All right, that’s it. I challenge you to a spelling competition.”
“Ok, I’m in. What do I get if I win?”
“The knowledge that you’re the better speller?” Kensi said with a shrug.
“Nah, that’s not good enough,” Deeks decided. He thought for a moment. “If I win, I want control of the radio for a week.”
“Then I want you to make me frittata every morning for a week.”
“Deal.” Turning to face the rest of the team, who had been watching the conversation with varying levels of interest, Deeks asked, “Any other takers?”
Callen snorted. “Not a chance. Sam, you in?”
“Oh no, I already know my spelling abilities. I once won a state spelling competition in high school,” he said, a hint of pride in his voice.
“I thought you were a mathlete,” Callen commented.
“I was.” Sam jabbed a finger at him. “And no jokes.”
“I would never,” Callen said solemnly. “Though it is impressive that one man can hold so much geekiness within him. I think you’re running neck and neck with Beale.”
“He thinks that’s an insult,” Eric said wryly. “For the record, I am not beyond competing in a test of spelling acuity.”
“Nell?”
“I would, but I don’t think you guys could handle it,” she responded.
“Ooh, that sounds like a challenge, Jones. Why don’t you put your money, or similar compensatory item, where your mouth is?”
Nell stepped toe-to-toe with Deeks, standing as tall as she could.
“All right Mr. Deeks. I’ll participate, but you’ll regret it. And if I win, the losers will write all my expense summaries for the next week.”
“It’s a deal,” Deeks agreed.
“Oh, you’re going down hard,” Kensi goaded him. “I’m looking forward to breakfast in bed.”
***
“Alright Kensi, your word is “onomatopoeia”,” Callen called out, waiting as Kensi stepped forward. He’d been assigned the role of choosing and assigning words, mostly because Sam refused.
Eric had dropped out after three rounds with the word chiaroscurist. Personally, Deeks thought he’d done it on purpose, in deference to Nell. Deeks had nearly lost it with lachsschinken, but somehow managed to squeak through solely by chance.
Kensi correctly spelled her word; she looked decidedly tense, biting at her thumbnail in between turns. When it came back around to her again, Callen gave her the word “arachnophagous”.
“A-r-a-c-h-n-o-p-h-a-g,” Kensi started, then hesitated. “u-s?”
“Oh, I’m sorry, that is incorrect,” Callen said, not sounding sorry at all. “Now it’s just down to Deeks and Nell.”
“Damn it!” Kensi hissed, plopping into her seat.
“I can’t believe I’m watching this,” Sam mumbled.
“You got this, Nell,” Eric encouraged, then shot Deeks an apologetic look. “Sorry, man.”
“It’s ok, brother. I understand.”
“Ok Nell, your next word is “budgereegah”.
“Now you’re just making things up,” Deeks muttered even as Nell rattled off the apparently correct spelling liked she’d actually heard the word before.
“Excellent. Deeks, yours is “sesquipedalian”.”
“Awesome. Uh, s-e-s-a-u-i—p-e-d-a-l-i-e-n”.
“That is…incorrect,” Callen called out. “Congratulations, Nell. You’re the NCIS Office of Special Operations’ inaugural spelling bee winner.”
“That implies there’s going to be another one,” Sam commented under his breath.
“Nicely done, Nell,” Deeks congratulated her, and Nell accepted the praise with a nod.
“Thank you. And thank you for the week of expense reports. I will enjoy going home early.”
“It won’t be so bad with Eric and Kens helping. Right, Kensi?”
“Right,” Kensi said with a grimace. “Congrats Nell, but I was really looking forward to those breakfasts.”
“Well, there’s always next year,” Deeks said brightly.
***
A/N: This one was a bit sillier, but I hope you still enjoyed it. I think the team would compete for anything under the right conditions. Also, some of the words I used were selected from the national Spelling Bees list.

Battleship Texas: Hits from the Battle of Cherbourg
Tumblr media
"On this day, June 25th, 1944, the USS TEXAS was hit by two German 240mm shells off the coast of Cherbourg, France.
The First Hit
Tumblr media
At 1310 TEXAS receives a hit from a large caliber shell atop the ship’s armored conning tower shearing off the top of Direct #3, which fell on to and injured the Gunnery Officer beneath it. The shell would then strike the longitudinal frame on the ship’s foremast causing an upwards explosion into the Pilot House directly above injuring many of those inside. By 1325 the crew began removing the thirteen casualties wounded in the explosion. These men suffered traumatic leg injuries, fractures, contusions, blast concussions, and abrasions. The ship’s helmsman, Christen Norman Christensen, would receive a fatal prognosis and die of his wounds later that day, becoming the ship’s only combat fatality during her career.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The explosion sheared off three sections of floor plates damaging the steering gear, compasses, engine revolution indicator, and many electrical cables and circuits. The space was demolished, and could no longer serve as the ship’s control station. All ship control operations moved to the Conning Tower as the ship maneuvered radically away and out of range of the German battery.
Tumblr media
'The conduct of all hands during the action was worthy of praise and attaches no censure to anyone on board. In particular, Lieutenant Command Louis P. Spear, USN, Lieutenant Clarence L. Moody, Jr., (ChC), USNR, and Eddleman, Will J., Bgmstr2c, V6, USNR were worthy of praise for the cool manner in which they rendered first aid to the wounded on the Navigation Bridge, in spite of the continued fall of enemy shells in the vicinity of the ship.' Battle Report, J.M. Cabanillas, USN
Fire!
As the ship maneuvered away, the guns of Turret 4 and 5 continued to fire over the ship’s stern. These blasts warped nearly every door midship, damaged 40mm director mounds, and set fire to some of the canvas covers that were draped over the 40mm ammunition. With ammunition in such close proximity to the fires, nearby crews consisting of both Sailors and Marines quickly jumped into action by throwing the loose ammunition overboard.
'There were canvas covers over the shells in the gun tub. Circular canvas covers protected the clips that were in the racks on the gun tub. That canvas is what caught fire when the 14-inchers fired aft. No canvas cover on the guns themselves. The Marines threw the hot 40mm ammo over the side. No one was injured. The deck did not catch on fire, but there was lots of shrapnel on the deck. The shrapnel made dark spots on the deck.' -Veikko Liila, USMC
Tumblr media
Second Time's The Charm
Tumblr media
After a quick maneuver, TEXAS returned to face the battery once more. Both TEXAS and Battery Hamburg would exchange fire, encountering many close calls as gun salvos continued to straddle the ship. At 1444 two shell splashes were reported near the ship’s portside bow, and just three minutes later, an unexploded 240mm shell was discovered inside a stateroom on the Half Deck. TEXAS had been hit a second time. With no visible or reported damage, the ship continued its brawl with the relentless battery. By 1500 the ship had received orders to retire and return to Portland, England.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Upon returning to England, the 'dud' 240mm German shell was removed and disarmed under careful direction of the Bomb Disposal Officer. The shell would then be placed back on TEXAS, where it still resides to this day.
'The performance of the TEXAS while under heavy and accurate fire of the enemy was outstanding. She was smartly handled and continued the engagement until ordered to withdraw, although hopelessly outranged and continuously harassed by enemy fire over a period of two hours and twenty minutes.' - C. F. BRYANT, USN."

25 Years Ago Today: An U.S. F-117 Stealth Jet Is Shot Down Over Serbia 🇷🇸
March 27, 2024 Military Aviation
F-117 shot down
F-117 as seen through the NVGs (A1C Greg L. Davis, USAF, via National Archives)
OTD in 1999, “Vega 31” was shot down near Belgrade. Here’s how it went.
On Mar. 27, 1999, during the fourth night of Operation Allied Force (OAF) over Serbia, a U.S. Air Force F-117 Nighthawk (#82-0806), flown by Lt. Col. Darrell P. Zelko, was shot down while returning to Aviano airbase, after a strike mission against a target near Belgrade.
The F-117, callsign “Vega 31”, was hit by one of a series of missiles fired by a S-125 “Neva” missile system (NATO reporting name, SA-3 “Goa”) belonging to the 3rd Battalion of the 250th Air Defence Missile Brigade of the Army of Yugoslavia, at a distance of about 8 miles.
According to Sergeant Dragan Matić, the soldier later identified as the operator who fired the missiles, the stealth plane was detected at a range of about 50 to 60 kilometres and the surface-to-air missile radar was switched on for no more than 17 seconds.
Tumblr media
F-117 wreckage in Serbia.
The pilot successfully ejected and was rescued between 5 and 8 hours later (depending on the sources): AFSOC (Air Force Special Operations Command) dispatched MH-53M, MH-53J and MH-60 aircrew along with Special Tactics Airmen responded to the emergency and, coordinated by E-3 AWACS and supported by several specialized platforms, including an EC-130E ABCCC and A-10 in Sandy role, rescued the F-117 pilot.
youtube
While the shootdown of the F-117 #82-0806 marked the first ever and only downing of a stealth aircraft in combat, how the Serbians managed to achieve the then almost unbelievable kill is still open to debate.
On one side, the Serbs claimed they had found a way to detect stealth aircraft by using slightly modified radars: the modifications involved the use of long wavelengths to try to “paint” the target at short range, exploiting the moment when the low observability of the Nighthawk was degraded by the opening of the bomb bay door.
However, this was not true: according to some Serbian sources, the story of the modification was purposely told by the battalion commander and served as propaganda. In the end there was no modification of the P-18 or SNR-125 radar.
What is true is that the Serbians were extremely cautious in operating their SAM batteries, dispatching messages without using cell phones or radios, so as not to risk to be intercepted and geo-located, and relocating the batteries across the country.
Tumblr media
F-117 taxies at Aviano AB during Operation Allied Force (USAF)
In the end, besides the successful tactics used by the Serbians, the shootdown of the F-117 was also the result of a series of other contributing factors:
the use of the same route for the third day in a row, making the flight path of the stealth aircraft predictable
the lack of dedicated SEAD (Suppression of Enemy Air Defenses) support
the fact that the F-117 approached the Belgrade area flying at low level, jinking and banking
the Serbs knew that the F-117s were coming, because, they monitored U.S. and allied radio comms on UHF and VHF frequencies, which, at the time, were mostly unencrypted; were also able to intercept NATO plane’s ATO (Air Tasking Orders) that enabled them to put anti-aircraft batteries at positions close to the ground targets; relied on a network of spies who operated outside the Italian airbases spotting aircraft taking off and others, near the Serbian borders, who provided details about the incoming raids.
Anyway, the achievement of Colonel Dani Zoltan, who commanded the SAM battery of the 3rd Battalion and used a SAM system introduced in 1961, is impressive especially considering that, after shooting down “Vega 31”, “Hammer 34”, an F-16C of the 31st Fighter Wing piloted by Lt. Col. Dave Goldfein (future Chief of Staff of the United States Air Force) was also shot down by the 250th Air Defense Missile Brigade on May 2, 1999.
Moreover, it has also emerged that another F-117 was damaged by Serbian air defenses during Allied Force.
Tumblr media
A Yugoslav propaganda poster, stating facetiously “Sorry we didn’t know it was invisible”.
The F-117 today
25 years after the famous and quite surprising, at that time, downing, the iconic F-117 continue to fly, despite being officially retired in 2008.
As we report quite frequently here at The Aviationist, F-117s are still flying not only for training purposes as adversary aircraft and cruise missile surrogate, but also for research, development, test and evaluation, possibly related to next generation programs.
In accordance with of the Nation Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) of 2007 (PL 109- 364, Section 136), 52 F-117 aircraft were retired and relocated to the Tonopah Test Range (TTR). Under the requirements of the NDAA, the USAF preserved each F-117 aircraft in Type-l000 (T-1000) storage, which maintains the aircraft in a condition that allows recall for future service. On 30 November 2016, Section 133 of Subtitle D of the National Defense Authorization Act repealed the requirement to preserve the F-117 aircraft in a recallable condition and the USAF intended to declassify, demilitarize, and disposition four F-117 aircraft per year.
F-117 Fresno

An F-117 Nighthawk lands for the first time at the Fresno Yosemite International Airport, Sept 13, 2021, to conduct training missions with the local Air National Guard unit. Two F-117 Nighthawks are participating in dissimilar air combat training missions this week along with F-15 pilots from the 144th Fighter Wing in Fresno, Calif. (Air National Guard photo by Capt. Jason Sanchez)
The aircraft continued to be spotted, even more than it had happened until then, with the Nighthawks also deploying to several U.S. bases to carry out Dissimilar Air Combat Training with other U.S. types. Then, in 2021, the U.S. Air Force published the first official images of the type still involved in flight operations on the DVIDS (Defense Visual Information Distribution Service) network.
In September 2022 the Air Force Test Center published a Request For Information (RFI) about a possible 10-year contract, expected to start from January 1, 2024, for maintenance and logistics support services for the F-117A fleet at the TTR airfield, acknowledging that the U.S. Air Force is willing to keep the aircraft flying at least until 2034. Interestingly, the U.S. Air Force is about to complete the certification of the F-117s to refuel from the KC-46: a sign that the service plans to keep the Nighthawk flying for many more years.

So, let's talk train reporting numbers and Sodor
This is a train reporting number, also called a headcode
Tumblr media
Made up of the first number denoting what class of train it is (class 1 being express, 2 being stopping train, etc. 7 here is express freight, livestock, or ballast train not fitted with continuous brake), the letter denoting destination (this is what we're going to talk about), and the final two digits being individual train identifiers.
Now Sodor almost exclusively uses headcode discs, as shown here (this hesdcode is denoting parcels, fish, fruit, livestock,milk or other perishables with all vans fully fitted with continuous brakes or empty coaching stock)
Tumblr media
They also use them on diesels that IRL had headcode boxes (Bear here had express headcode discs)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
However, we know that train reporting number boxes do exist, as shown by this image
Tumblr media
The class 40 has split headcode boxes, although they're a bit difficult to distinguish (also look how the door just melds into their face). Here's what they look like IRL
Tumblr media
Now on to what I'm wondering: what are the North Western Region's area reporting letters, both within the region and for trains going between regions. Here are the codes used for interregional trains:
E: Eastern
L: Anglia
M: Midland
O: Southern
S: Scotland
V: Western
X: Special Load
Z: Special or short term working (trains not in the timetable)
And prior to 1967 N was used for the North Eastern Region until the region's dissolution.
These were used for trains travelling to that region.
Intraregional codes designate what line your traveling along, for example in the Scottish Region, H stood for trains around Inverness, Kingussie, Elgin, Kyle, and Wick (as well as other things, these are sometimes reused for different routes), and odd and even numbers identify train direction.
So: what was the North Western Region's code? The short answer is we don't know. But we can join the world of headcanon.
As both M and N were used, BR didn't seem too fussed with letters looking like each other. And as N was already in use, so we can't use it for North Western, we can use W. Trains travelling to Barrow and beyond would carry the M code.
Now for intraregional trains. This is wild ass speculation, and as always I'd love to hear others' input on the topic, this goes for the whole post.
I think the mainline could be T, for Tidmouth.
Most all the branch lines are easy because of the names all have a different first letter
The Little Western could be A for Arlesburgh
B for the Brendam Branch
F for Ffarquhar
K for Kirk Ronan (although I'm not sure if this line is used anymore)
N could be Norramby, intraregional and interregional codes did sometimes overlap, for example the Scottish Region's N meant the Dumfries - Carlisle - Newcastle route, but we could make operations easier and letter the Norramby Branch R
P for Peel Godred Branch
Now, I also don't know if when IRL regions lettered their routes for headcodes, they just went down the alphabet. As names for routes seldom line up with the letter assigned, this may be what happened, but that's somewhat boring, and who knows, Charles may have done his own thing.
Anyway, that's all I really had to say on the subject. I'd love to hear y'all's thoughts on it. Maybe there's info I don't know about all this! I'm by no means an expert.

EXTRAS.
𝐁𝐈𝐎𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐏𝐇𝐘: C/P from sample app for now (threat)
Rescued in 2000 by  MTF Xi-5, “Newton's Bullies,” during the preliminary exploration into SCP-35320’s domain, anomalous location SCP 35320-1, 𝑆𝑀𝑂𝑂𝑇𝐻 𝑂𝑃𝐸𝑅𝐴𝑇𝑂𝑅’s introduction to the Foundation was nothing short of a miracle. Missing person reports from the time revealed that 𝑆𝑀𝑂𝑂𝑇𝐻 𝑂𝑃𝐸𝑅𝐴𝑇𝑂𝑅 had been reported as MIA after he disappeared during a training exercise in the Tucson Mountains by Unit 162 WG of the Arizona Air National Guard on November 17, 1998. It’s in the popular belief that 𝑆𝑀𝑂𝑂𝑇𝐻 𝑂𝑃𝐸𝑅𝐴𝑇𝑂𝑅 was selected at random by SCP-35320 due to his age or simply because the opportunity presented itself as no one else in his unit was captured by 35320 for its ‘game.’ [See Mission File #871-341-X for more information. Must be Clearance Level 5 or higher to access the file.] Once Xi-5 breached the boundary of anomalous location SCP 35320-1, the parameters to SCP-35320’s ‘game’ were met, and it began to systematically hunt down members of Xi-5, leading to multiple casualties. X-9, Op. Zuri Williams, and X-4, Op. Thomas Smith (KIA) made initial contact with 𝑆𝑀𝑂𝑂𝑇𝐻 𝑂𝑃𝐸𝑅𝐴𝑇𝑂𝑅 after they became separated from the rest of the unit. The Foundation promptly took him into custody for debriefing once Xi-5 exited SCP-35320’s domain. However, due to the Foundation’s limited research on SCP-35320, it soon became apparent that the likelihood of Xi-5 escaping was incredibly low as SCP-35320 dispatched more unit members. In an act of desperation, MTFC Ingrid Olsen made the call that 𝑆𝑀𝑂𝑂𝑇𝐻 𝑂𝑃𝐸𝑅𝐴𝑇𝑂𝑅 would be of better use as a soldier under Olsen’s command rather than a prisoner. This decision was what ultimately allowed for the neutralization of SCP-35320 as 𝑆𝑀𝑂𝑂𝑇𝐻 𝑂𝑃𝐸𝑅𝐴𝑇𝑂𝑅’s knowledge of the terrain and SCP-35320’s ‘rules’ were immeasurably valuable for the success of the mission. Because of his usefulness during the mission, the question of what to do with 𝑆𝑀𝑂𝑂𝑇𝐻 𝑂𝑃𝐸𝑅𝐴𝑇𝑂𝑅 after debriefing led to both Head Researcher, Dr. Diego Ochoa, and the MTF Xi-5 Commander contacting separate Ethics Committee liaisons due to the uniqueness of this case. To avoid potentially losing a valuable asset to the Foundation, the Ethics Committee decreed to spare 𝑆𝑀𝑂𝑂𝑇𝐻 𝑂𝑃𝐸𝑅𝐴𝑇𝑂𝑅, offering the man options of receiving Class B amnestics and returning to his family, or joining the Foundation. It is unclear why 𝑆𝑀𝑂𝑂𝑇𝐻 𝑂𝑃𝐸𝑅𝐴𝑇𝑂𝑅 made the choice he did, but the Foundation gained an invaluable asset that day. In his 24 years of service with the Foundation since this incident,  𝑆𝑀𝑂𝑂𝑇𝐻 𝑂𝑃𝐸𝑅𝐴𝑇𝑂𝑅 has come to sport an impressive career in various MTFs, such as  Delta-4 “Minutemen,” Lambda-12 “Pest Control,” and Xi-13 “Sequere Nos” before finally landing in Omega-1 “Law's Left Hand” after being hand selected by the Ethics Committee for his part in in the Xerox Revision. While he is one of the most reliable mainstays in Omega-1, it is unclear how much longer the Ethics Committee is willing to risk 𝑆𝑀𝑂𝑂𝑇𝐻 𝑂𝑃𝐸𝑅𝐴𝑇𝑂𝑅 in the field.

PROJECT HALF-A QUARTERLY REPORT 002
Government Experiment AU where the Dan's (Dan/Danny/Dani) are created in a GIW lab to investigate the Ghost Zone after Jack and Maddie create the Ghost Portal. In this AU the GZ is radioactive and slowly kills any humans who venture inside so the GIW decide to create human ghost hybrids in order to further their research and capture additional subjects for their experiments. Masterpost.
GHOST INVESTIGATION WARD QUARTERLY REPORT Release Number: BH824-07 Date: 23 JULY 20XX Research and Development have made significant strides in the creation of essential equipment required for agents to commence exploration in the Ghost Zone. The research efforts have yielded two crucial items designed to enhance efficiency and safety during interdimensional missions.
Fenton Thermos Appearance: Resembling a conventional silver soup thermos. Functionality: When activated, the Fenton Thermos emits a blue beam capable of absorbing any ectoplasmic entity encountered. The absorbed entity is securely trapped within the thermos for containment purposes. Specter Speeder Description: A compact transportation vehicle designed to navigate the Ghost Zone. Power Source: The Specter Speeder runs on pure ectoplasm absorbed from its surroundings. The Ghost Zone's theorized composition of pure ectoplasm makes it an ideal fuel source for efficient transport. Capacity: The vehicle accommodates a maximum of five individuals, featuring a small bench in the front for the pilot and passengers. The front of the Speeder is equipped with a clear dome serving as a windshield, while a small storage area is situated behind the front bench. With the successful completion of these innovative pieces of equipment, the research team has determined that the time is ripe to advance to the next phase—exploration beyond the gateway of the Ghost Portal. In line with this, Field Team Theta has been established, comprising Agents L, M, N, O, and P, who will undertake the inaugural assignment to venture into the uncharted realms of the Ghost Zone. The integration of the Fenton Thermos and the Specter Speeder into the field operations marks a significant leap forward in our capacity to navigate and interact with the Ghost Zone. Ongoing analysis and data collection during the upcoming exploration missions will further contribute to our understanding of the spectral dimension and the anomalies within. Regular updates will be provided as Field Team Theta progresses in their exploration efforts. See the attached documents for additional information on Field Team Theta.

Case 0 Type P - Miscellaneous Case Notes
Note 1: Stability of Timeline PET-K, post mission
The Dark Flour War came to an end in the year 1945 with White Lily Cookie’s help, as seen in part of Timekeeper Cookie’s plan for “Operation: Time Twister”
Interference detected in timeline “PET-K” as a result of Croissant Cookie’s group’s actions has been classified as “Minimal”. Interference received was reported to stem from removing a Cake Hound from its time period in the Vanilla Castle. However, the explosion that occurred minutes after it was discovered by the group would have originally crumbled the Cake Hound if it was left as is, so its prolonged existence is inferred to not have a significant impact on the timeline. No follow-up action is required for this time period concerning this mission.
[Timeline Maintained]
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Note 2: White Lily Cookie’s Whereabouts
White Lily Cookie’s whereabouts since the Dark Flour War are unknown, as the surrounding Vanilla Kingdom fell to ruin in the wake of the battle when she and the other Ancients vanished in the explosion that overtook the castle.
🥖 Temporal location efforts hypothesize that White Lily Cookie has retreated back to Lilywhite Space to find new help in recovering the fragments of her fractured soul, as well as the missing pieces of the Blue Cheese Watch.
Assistance from our anonymous source of the Saint Pastry Order has been requested regarding how to contact White Lily Cookie in this state. Timeguard Keeper agents are to be dispatched as mentioned in File 2.
[Subject Unresolved]
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Note 3: Status of Temporally-Displaced Cookies following the actions of Subject C/L-33
Croissant Cookie, Walnut Cookie, Almond Cookie, and Roguefort Cookie have been displaced into another coordinate in time due to their Timecraft being thrown off course by the explosion generated by Pure Vanilla Cookie and Dark Enchantress Cookie’s climactic struggle, marooning them somewhere in time.
Cinnamon Cookie, Wizard Cookie, and Cream Puff Cookie have marooned themselves in a different set of temporal coordinates since they jumped into a time rift whilst escaping from Dark Enchantress Cookie in the City of Wizards.
Everybody else who attended the holiday gathering on [12/24/2020] survived Dark Enchantress Cookie’s advances in the City of Wizards in the time that followed her shattering the Blue Cheese Watch and were mainly unaffected by this event. Dark Enchantress Cookie’s current location is unknown to us at this time with no leads to her current position following the encounter.
☕️🍬 We can’t quite determine where in time either displaced group landed right now. Action on behalf of the Time Twister Support Division and Time Analysis Division has been requested to help us locate them, but we did receive signals from both groups stemming from standard issue TBD agent radios.
[Action Requested - Delay]
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Note 4: Recovery Protocols in relation to Subjects R-II/T-22 and S/A-95
The Blue Cheese Watch has been shattered into an undetermined number of fragments. Prior interactions have noted the fragmentation of White Lily Cookie’s soul and the perceived priority in the collection of said fragments in the familiar form of Soulstones.
🥖 Recovery procedures written as part of the “Operation: Time Twister” master contingency plan are to be followed as acknowledged in File 4. Any of White Lily Cookie’s Soulstones that are recovered during this process will be held by the Relics Management Division until White Lily Cookie comes to claim them. Recovered parts of the Blue Cheese Watch will be held to reassemble the watch where possible.
—————————————————————————
Time Twister Support Division Post-Case Memos:
A select group of Timeguard Keeper agents are to be dispatched to locate both displaced groups and fulfill other tasks necessary to ensure the success of “Operation: Time Twister”. Your role in this operation allows you to nominate agents of your choice, or to choose from a group that the Clerk has assembled. Suggest canon Cookies to be introduced as AU Timeguard Keepers in the ask box or wait for a poll to be posted.
Temporal location assistance has been requested from your team and the Time Analysis Division at a later date. Be ready to respond. Polls regarding future cases will go up at a later date where YOU will get to choose the subject from several choices.
Triangulation of Croissant Cookie’s group’s location [FINALIZED] Dark Cacao Kingdom; 2017
Await a working master list of Cookies open for questioning. This will be a general list of who will respond to asks as they are introduced into this AU.
The anonymous source of the Saint Pastry Order is open for questioning. Ask them stuff in the ask box, addressing them as an anonymous source. Their name will not be tagged or mentioned until their identity is revealed.
Cinnamon Cookie, Wizard Cookie, Cream Puff Cookie, Almond Cookie, Walnut Cookie, and Roguefort Cookie are all open for questioning despite being lost in time. Ask them stuff in the ask box, addressing them by name.
Croissant Cookie has been displaced into a set of unknown temporal coordinates with Almond Cookie, Walnut Cookie, and Roguefort Cookie. The nature of her responses to asks may change as a result of this for now.
Subject Records of all Cookies and other pertinent subjects in this case will be posted over time by the TTSD Supervisors before your next Case is presented.
[Case Closed]
A hiatus will follow after the mentioned notes are accounted for to ensure everything is organized properly and to answer any questions you may have.
Bookkeeping for Startups: Key Challenges & Solutions
Tumblr media
Recording and arranging financial transactions for a company is the process of bookkeeping, therefore guaranteeing correct financial data tracking. This important ability enables companies to properly allocate resources, control investments, and make choices. Essential financial records kept by bookkeepers—profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements—offer insights into the situation of a business. Managing bookkeeping may provide difficulties for businesses, too, including inexperienced employees, data security concerns, tax compliance problems, and messy records. Maintaining financial accuracy and corporate success depends on overcoming these obstacles via upskill, automation, and appropriate software solutions.
What is Book keeping?
Bookkeeping includes the recording of financial transactions regularly. With the help of correct bookkeeping, companies are capable of monitoring all information in their books to facilitate key operations, investing, and capital allocation decisions.
Bookkeepers are individuals who handle all financial information for companies. Not having bookkeepers, companies are not able to observe their current financial status and also the transactions that take place within the company.
Why accuracy is important in Book keeping?
The financial information that the bookkeeper handles is additionally utilized for filing taxes, venture capital due diligence, securing debt financing or small business loans, and summarizing the company’s economic standing.
Reliable data assists business owner for making more rational decision for the organization.
Bookkeepers are also in charge of generating the financial statements that are required for board meetings or a possible investor.
Below are the three common reports that are produced by the bookkeepers: -
Profit & Loss Statements: This statement is also known as an income statement. This statement is used to summarize the revenue, costs, and expenses over the course of time. With the help of this statement, business leaders or investors become aware of the company’s financial standing.
Balance Sheet:  A balance sheet presents the current financial standing of the company that shows assets, liabilities, and shareholder equity at a certain point in time. The company can rely upon the balance sheet to know its worth.
Cash Flow Statement: This statement is a detailed roadmap that shows how much cash is flowing to and from out of the business over the course of time. Since your P&L won't reveal how you manage your cash flow, it's especially beneficial if you use accrual accounting instead of cash accounting.
Bookkeeping Challenges for the Startups
Startups are new to the business and can face a lot of troubles, and one of them can be bookkeeping challenges they can face. Here are some bookkeeping-related challenges you might encounter and how to overcome them:
Deficiency in Employee Skills and Proficiency
There are several reasons your company may have unskilled bookkeepers. Small enterprises that have established their organization from scratch may have staff that can't handle the escalating pressures. Bookkeepers may lack industry expertise. Your bookkeeper may be trying to shift from antiquated accounting processes or technology. If your staff lack the ability to manage your books, they may make incorrect decisions, lose income, and limit your growth. Slow down—don't terminate loyal personnel. Upskilling solves this prevalent accounting problem.
Solution: By educating and upskilling your staff, you can create bookkeeping specialists. Improve their bookkeeping basics and teach them new technology. You may empower staff to flourish with the resources they need. By “reaching their full potential,” we imply more than precise financial reporting. Smart bookkeepers can provide financial insights and boost sales and marketing.
Safety vulnerabilities and data leakage
With data breaches costing more than ever, safeguarding your organization from data loss and threats is crucial. Your cybersecurity plan should prioritize accounting and finance. Your accounting teams and systems manage sensitive employee, customer, and corporate data. This puts them vulnerable to phishing, malware, and other threats. It's not only foreign threats to worry about. Insider risks are common in accounting systems. Your employees, previous employees, and associates pose insider dangers. Accounting systems' financial data makes them vulnerable to insider threats. Most firms worry about money gain as a malicious incentive.
Solution: To prevent data loss and unauthorized access, use cybersecurity best practices. Thus, your organization avoids catastrophic financial losses and legal or reputational harm.
Ensuring Tax conformity
Tax compliance is one of the hardest bookkeeping hurdles that startups usually face. The penalties for non-compliance with the regulatory framework with respect to tax can lead to fines and imprisonment.
Handling taxes aligning with changing tax legislation can be a hectic task for the book keeper. Bookkeepers who lacks the capabilities and expertise are required to accurately submitting taxes carries the chance of mistakes.
Poor tax compliance causes tax computation problems, missing deductions, late filing, and missed quarterly estimates.
Solution: Tax filing on paper is inefficient. Data input problems, lost receipts, segregated financial data—the list goes on. Accounting software with tax compliance features is helping firms fix these challenges. Accounting software simplifies tax filing in various ways.
Disorganized systems and record maintenance
Bookkeeping may rapidly become unorganized for a growing small firm, especially if done manually. Manual spreadsheets for managing rising costs, salaries, and taxes will stress out your staff and lead to data input mistakes and lost data. Poor organization and record-keeping diminish financial visibility for your firm. Inconsistencies between firm accounts and books might reduce cash flow and affect financial choices. You also risk data privacy and tax compliance difficulties. Maintaining current, structured records is essential. But more staff isn't the solution.
Solution: Accounting software on the cloud saves, organizes, and updates financial records, automating record-keeping. Automated billing and cost tracking can generate, deliver, and track client bills and expenses, respectively. Now you never forget to invoice or record a cost. Stop losing or mistyping financial data. Bookkeeping software brings structure and precision to your bookkeeping.
Struggles with managing receivables and payables
Two fundamental accounting ideas are accounts payable and accounts receivable. Invoicing and billing problems, missing payments, and other challenges caused by inadequate AR and AP administration delay cash flow, hinder corporate growth, and lower customer satisfaction. Accounts receivable are monies due by customers who have received bills but not paid. Your business's short-term debts to vendors, suppliers, and creditors are accounts payable. Journal entries are made and posted to the general ledger when invoices or bills are sent or received. A bookkeeping ledger centralizes and records balance sheets and income-statement activities. AR would be an asset and AP an expense. AR and AP administration, like record-keeping, becomes more difficult as your organization expands. Bookkeepers can easily get overburdened and forget, lose, or mistype information.
Solution: Managing AR and AP more carefully can save your firm money. Using old technology makes it hard to streamline and arrange invoicing and billing, even if you monitor AR and AP more carefully. Instead of Excel spreadsheets, automate invoicing, billing, and reconciling with modern accounting software. Use AI to speed up data entry, error reconciliation, and cash forecasting. Automation of your AR and AP process is another benefit of cloud-based technologies. Automated invoice collection and approval routing in small business accounts payable software reduce data entry hazards.
Need for Operating Room Nurse Residency Program A Review of Literature Previous studies have indicated that in other specialties, nurse residency programs have been largely successful in seeking to stem nursing shortages. However, very few studies have attempted to evaluate as well as assess the effectiveness and success rate of nurse residency programs in relation to operating room nurses. It is important to note that there is a looming crisis in the horizon in relation to the shortage of operating room nurses (Brown, Belgard, Washington, and Grueso, 2017). The effects this continued shortage could have on perioperative nursing could be dire. Towards this end, the relevance of assessing the relevance of nurse residency programs in seeking to address this concern cannot be overstated. In the words of Zinn, Guglielmi, Davis, and Moses (2012), “as experienced nurses leave the workforce, new graduate nurses are the supply pipeline to acute care hospitals” (653). This is an assertion echoed by Finkelman and Kenner (2014). As Zinn, Guglielmi, Davis, and Moses (2012) further point out, assuming that perioperative nurses takes at least 1 year to develop proficiency in their role, it would be wrong to assume that graduates fresh from medical school will “transition into practice without participating in a nurse residency program.” According to Huston (2013), low job satisfaction has been cited as one of the contributors to a high turnover rate among new graduate nurses. Thus, there is a need for a transition setup such as the graduate residency programs to enable new operating room nurses to transition effectively. McDonald and Smith (2012) are of the opinion that nurse residency programs are effective evidence-based graduate nurse retention interventions. In the words of the authors, studies have clearly indicated that “turnover rates among new graduate nurses could be decreased and job satisfaction could be increased by implementing a residency program” (McDonald and Smith, 2012, p. E19). Sadler (2018) is of the opinion that one of the solutions that ought to be explored in seeking to fix OR nurse shortage is ongoing training and education. The fact that undergraduate programs do not include the principles of perioperative practice has been a significant challenge in operating room nurse staffing (Sadler, 2018). In the words of Bakewell (as cited in Sadler, 2018), “this makes it difficult to hire new nursing school graduates into the perioperative setting.” The proposed solution, according to Sadler (2018) includes the implementation of ongoing perioperative training and education opportunities such as residencies. One other factor that has been branded as a key contributor to the shortage of operating room nurses is an exiting workforce in the said arena through retirement. As a matter of fact, OR nurse shortages as a consequence of the retiring workforce begun in the late 1990s (Fieldman et al., 2011). More specifically, “because older RNs (over 50 years) dominated operating room and perioperative staffing, when these RNs begun retiring in the late 1990s, hospitals reported shortages of operating room RNs (Fieldman et al., 2011). The situation is likely to get worse going forward if nothing is done to rectify the situation. Evans and Tabloski (2017) brand residency programs as the best approach in succession planning. This, according to the authors, is more so the case given the need to ensure that those replacing those exiting due to retirement have a good foundation that facilitates their transition from novice to expert. Walker (2017) is of the opinion that mass retirement of perioperative nurses ought to be anticipated going forward. The said mass retirement would make a bad situation worse and escalate the current shortages (Rothrock, 2018). This further underlines the need to further examine intervention measures such as the nurse residency programs. References Brown, L., Belgard, D., Washington, N. & Grueso, S. (2017).
