Emergency Commissions

Hi guys. as some of you know I am currently having an issue with a buyer who wrongfully accused me of not sending their product. They filed a dispute with paypal and now i have a negative balance of almost 400 dollars. commissions are my only form of income and i have called paypal twice and submitted evidence but it can take up to 75 days for them to come to a resolution. I was also charged a 15 dollar dispute fee.

That being said i need to open emergency comms. My queue is a little long right now, but i have no other option. the previous buyer has blocked me on all platforms so i can not reach out to them to close the case. please if you can share this or would like a piece of art visit my kofi so i can get my account out of the negative.

as much as I love batgirl 2024, I have to admit the lack of Barbara Gordon mentions in the whole series so far, especially with the first arc having such a big theme of motherhood/daughterhood and the things that comes with it, makes me soo sad. Barbara was the first person Cass actually considered as a mother! Barbara, although she wasn’t the best at it at first, truly did try to understand and love Cass unconditionally even when she was separated from the Bat mantle! And that panel where Cass overhears Barbara tell Dick that she doesn’t know how to really care for Cass could’ve been the perfect parallel to the whole “is a Mother just being connected by blood? No, Something more is owed/Being a daughter is more than being connected by blood” lines that Cass says in the last (current) issue because Barbara, though she did not physically bring Cass into this world, has sacrificed SO much for her, and in return Cass gave so much back.

On the 11th of March, I went into the urgent care for an unknown mass in my abdomen, one that was causing discomfort and pain. After concerns were raised, they wanted to do a CT scan on the mass to try and discern whether it was cause for concern or not. Repeatedly throughout the process, I asked if this was covered by my insurance. They assured me that most insurances do cover this, especially if there is pain associated with it.

My insurance does not cover this. I am a junior in college, I work a full-time job on top of classes, and I live completely alone. I have never once in my whole college career taken out loans, because I have wanted to avoid having to pay it off for a really long time. And in a single day, the single thing I've been working my ass off to avoid came crashing down on me because of a for-profit hospital, pain I couldn't control because of a lipoma, and greedy insurance companies with absolutely no leeway.

I'm from a family of very proud Mexicans; it takes a great amount of pride-swallowing to even be asking for help. And I knew top surgery was a long ways away, but it feels like with this bill of 6,300 dollars it's going to be so much longer, especially in the midst of everything else going on.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Honestly the best part about switching from medibang to krita for my illustrations and getting all those nice textures is that things like the dirt on the wall are really easy to draw LOL. Eventually I want to switch commissions over to krita too, but my process is still more streamlined in medibang so it stays the same for now.
