onyx, spinel x an anxious reader

first req in the big october, sorry for disappearing. i relied heavily on the wikipedia and summarised videos as its hard to catch up with the anime as of now. i had no idea putting the familiarity part, so i just did the anxious/reader with anxiety one. lmk if you want me to change this. sorry if it's short!!

onyx never really realised until you told him, but he gets it no pressure, he's not a softie for you though, it's not because he doesn't want to its that he doesn't know how to comfort you during your panics. he'll pat you on the back and say small affirmations, "it's gonna be okay.", "im here for you," "things will get better." and he feels bad for not being able to show that they care.

he's very attentive to what you need, tissues? he's got it, sweets? stole it from sango. you get restless easily so he thinks this can be a way of him showing he cares, and onyx likes doing something knowing you'll be happy after he's done.

there are times you're too overwhelmed to say anything, so he's the one speaking for you. he knows majority of what you want to say most of times, and when he messes up a word– he apologises immediately.

onyx observes you and reminds you to stop picking on your skin or nails, but he doesn't do it like a normal person, he sounds like a mom scolding their son. "hey, stop that."

other than being attentive, he's pretty protective aswell. onyx hates his enemies and those who make fun of you are one of them, he'll get garganacle to fight them off.

he tries his best to help you, but there are some parts he could improve. just know onyx is trying his best, and that the people at the hq aren't really that helpful...

spinel figured out on his own, and with some research on your condition (although im sure he already knew alot about your condition), what he should be watching out for, etc.

he does these speech practices with you, so that you are able to speak with people more, and help you remove the nervousness when speaking to a larger group. he's patient with you, and always criticises you afterwards telling you what's wrong and what you need to improve.

he'd pat you on the back after these practices, and then show you the clipboard he's been holding to take note. adds those inspirational quotes by famous people at the bottom to encourage you.

spinel also speaks for you when you're not able to or too overwhelmed to say anything, or he just shoo's the person entirely so that you have space. don't worry, if he's not there then umbreon/blacky is the support.

spinel definitely pushes you out of your comfort zone, not to the point of a break out, but encouraging you to socialize with his co-workers. he let's you talk to his pokemon, it gives him less to worry about and helps you calm down.

when you're having your breakdowns/panic attacks he's got your back, spinels affirmations are strange, yet are comforting at best, and if he's not there he's trained pokemon/your pokemon on what to do and what not to do.

overall very supportive, and very loving.

Between the rvts and the Explorers, the rvts are definitely stronger. Not because of Friede's battling skills, but because of their teamwork. During the latest episode, Friede called Murdock and the others because he knew that they would come to help. He didn't even have to think about it. This shows the level of trust and care that the rvts have for each other. The same can't be said for the Explorers, who are motivated mainly by their individual needs. This is shown through the way that Sango ignores Onyx when he warns her to not use explosion towards the end of the latest episode. Another example of the Explorer's lack of cooperation is the disrespect that they show towards each other. We see this when Spinel is mocked by the other members for failing his mission in episode 16. With the exception of Amethio, Conia and Zirc (who actually look out for each other) the Explorers behave like a bunch of egoists rather than a unified group. By contrast, the rvts will do anything to support each other. I've seen theories that the Explorer's downfall will be their lack of teamwork and after this week's episode, I totally agree. Caring for others is a huge strength, as Horizons keeps proving.

Made some designs for mosntrified team Explorer members! mostly because of wanting to mosntrifying @indigodiskmybeloved's chained paldea trio and the existence of Laquium and it reminding me of the toxic chain. So, I made these fellows!

hey new theme alert!! I'm still figuring everything out so uhh, this may change a few times... ill still write the same dw. 💙 onyx looks so funny with all this coquette around him, sorry this is short and may be ooc, because I haven't caught up with pokemon horizons in a while.

sidian is pretty quiet. he only opens himself to people he trusts the most, and he doesnt trust alot of people. the rising volt tacklers and the explorers being sworn enemies don't help this either, because of this you guys are pretty long–distance. how you guys got together is something even the old wise man couldn't figure out.

to make up with the time he barely spend with you because you're both busy, he sometimes tags along with your independent research when his work–load schedule is finally empty. its not that romantic, but he enjoys seeing you pursue something you love.

sidian is a closeted person, i don't think he'd want this relationship public at all! for one he thinks people shouldn't budge in to private matters (cough... sango?), and two again the explorers and the rvt don't mix well. it's up to you if you want to tell the rvt, but don't expect a good reaction from your mentor (friede) to be calm about this matter.

he wouldn't care much about your profession, and again as long as you're doing what you want he won't interfere with whatever it is. despite being sworn enemies sidian trusts the rvt, especially friede to watch over you.

sidian is an attentive listener, and will sometimes read your research journal if you allow him. he'll use the info you write about/tell him about to good, using them for comabt, survivability, etc. sango always gets irritated when he pulls some weird ass move and wins!

your relationship is preeetty complicated, but he will never let that stop you from doing what you enjoy.
