I just think they're neat

the Vaporeon was a christmas gift from the other year.

I will forever love Liko as a protagonist and how vastly different she is from her predecessor.

This poor girl never asked to be the protagonist of a shonen anime. She just wanted to have a peaceful life with her grass cat as just an average school girl, on what it seemed as a slice of life anime at the beginning. She probably would have been so happy with just spending the whole day in her dorm room, watching Nidothing streams, drawing doodles on her rotom-tablet and hanging out with her roommate.

But for some reason, Arceus looked at this small child and decided to give her a traumatic twist on her life.

"Alright you know what, little girl? Here! Get some traumatic experience to develop some character or whatever. Here comes a secret, evil organization looking to kidnap you for a matter you have nothing to do with. Oh yeah, by the way, your ancestor happens to be a legendary adventurer and his old friend is now looking for revenge on your whole family unless you give them that funny gem-turtle or something. I don't know lol. Good luck out there, I know you can do it. Come on, it's not that bad, I could have sent you centuries back into the past to make you survive on your own." ~ Arceus probably

This girl is such an anxiety wreck, overthinking every action and word from herself, holding back on expressing her thoughts. She's also shown to be a socially awkward who struggle to make friends on the very first episode.

But despite all that, she's a very compassionate person, her heart is always in the right place, and puts people's feelings in consideration before her own.

Yeah, Ash was a good character with lots of good traits. But personally I could never relate to his outgoing, extroverted personality. That being said, I would have felt totally related to Liko as a kid. Heck, I still relate to her in some way such as her introverted personality and her awkwardness lol.

This girl is just doing her best ❤️
