Character Opinion:

I stated multiple times my opinion of her is underused, I think she has so much potential of being an interesting character from...

learning about her past and how she originally got to destiny islands

Her thoughts on what Riku did in kh1 and it would be interesting if they talked about it

Making other friends since she is kinda treated... Badly in a sense, they're always leaving her behind (not intentionally) and kinda used her as a competition for their rivalry

Her befriending Sea Salt Trio+, she is already friends with Axel and the Twilight gang and it could start some nice friendships with Xion or Olette for example

Befriending Wayfinder Trio after being trained by Aqua could also be interesting since there are several parallels between them. Also Ven is also without "darkness" so it could be interesting for the both of them to interact / would also be interesting for her and Vanitas however he might be gone?

Anyways I actually like her and hopefully she will do more relevant things outside of Sora and Riku's shadows

HEY YOUR DRACULA ANIMATIC IS SO SO GOOD I can't comment on youtube (bc I have no account) but I've watched it like 10 times now, the song fits so well and the art is incredible, I love all your character designs and the way you portray all the scenes is so spot on!

I just finished re: dracula and idk how you managed to tell the whole story so well in under 4 minutes but it was amazing I love the way you use color in the animatic, the use of mostly black/white/grey is so good for evoking the specific type of horror story this is, and it makes the red in the blood and in dracula's eyes stick out in a way that is absolutely brilliant and that last shot with the sunset is GORGEOUS and then the epilogue!!! I love that you did the epilogue to and having the gentle piano music and doing it in full color gives it such a peaceful and comforting feeling, the drawing of quincey and lucy in it in the afterlife together is so sweet <3 the detail that went into this is amazing, like the captain of the demeter having the rosary even though we only see it for a second, I keep wanting to pause on every single frame so I can properly admire all the cool art lol, also the things like jonathan's beard growing out after dracula breaks the mirror, and the rosary hanging above his bed, and dracula still having the scar from the shovel in the final showdown

AND THE PART WHERE DRACULA CATCHES THE LETTER... literally the way you tell the whole story with (almost) NO WORDS in not even 4 minutes and the whole thing flows so smoothly is incredible I love the way you do like the zoom out thing on some places, it adds a whole new dimension to it visually also the way you draw mina and jonathan after the october 3rd bit is lovely, your jonathan looks so cool with the white hair and i love how you did mina's scar, and the part where her scar disappears at the end was such a cool way to depict that and the difference between human lucy and vampire lucy is done so well, like it's so clearly the same character but you can really see how she's not herself anymore, and the way you used that when they kill vampire lucy and show arthur's resolve to use the stake bc he's now seeing her as a monster who replaced and essentially killed the woman he loved and he wants revenge, literally I will never be over how much story and emotion you managed to fit into a single music video and the way you did quincey's death? crying at that part tbh.

AND THE FRAME OF DRACULA GETTING BEHEADED WITH THE RED BACKGROUND.... IS JUST *chef's kiss* I was going to say I have no words for how much I love this but clearly I have quite a lot of words lol, thank you tumblr for not having a character limit anyway have a good day/night :)

Anon I'm so sorry for this delayed reply,,, I kept rereading this in awe and didn't want to release it into the wild (and it still got eaten anyways-)

I'm so glad you enjoyed the character design!! It's not my strong suit at all so that's reassuring. The colour scheme lowkey started out as a timesaving measure, but it also allowed for me to render scenes with detail that I otherwise couldn't've with the tight time frame I had, since at the time I was also juggling university assignments. I'm glad the sunset scene hit as hard as it did, since I had also just discovered Disco Elys/ium, so it was an attempt to emulate Rostov's illustration of Harry on Filippe III's statue). It worked out in the end anyways, since the grayscale + red accent combined with a colourful epilogue gave a "the horror is now in the past, and we are in a (literally visually) livelier future)" <3

I've seen so many people say they want to pause on each frame to examine it in detail, and guess what, you can get a zip file of them all as watermarkless pngs in my kofi! For free! It's pay-what-you-want since I just really wanted to get as many eyes on this as possible, but any tips would definitely still be appreciated.

It was fun mapping out the match cuts and transitions e.g Dracula catching the letter, Mina and Dracula with Lucy in the churchyard, since the previous semester I'd taken a storyboarding class that taught that, so I HAD to include it. Zoom outs helped add visual interest to otherwise still shots, so I'm glad they didn't come off as overdone haha.

It was tough mapping out what storybeats to include, but I'm super happy that the angst for all the key moments in the video hit right :D Was worried about losing momentum after leaving the Jonathan in Dracula's castle bit, and so I really wanted the ending of each verse(?) to correspond with a red screen injury— notice that "you'd better let yourself off and, while you still have strength in your legs, escape from this horrible hell/你最好放过自己 趁双脚还有力气, 快逃出这可怕地狱" always ends with some character harming another, and when the verse repeats again but with the ending lyrics changed "you’d better let yourself off, rather than crying out to another, “Save me!”... Save me!/你最好放过自己 胜过跟谁叫救命... 救命!", it still ends with Van Helsing staking the 3 vampire women. And of course, the ending "escape from this horrible hell/快逃出这可怕地狱" ends with the sunset, its red now replacing that of the blood the characters had to spill previously, signalling an end to their necessary monstrosity (and also a literal monster with Dracula dying).

Like with the frame of Dracula getting beheaded, the timesaving measures, limited skills (plus lack of any sort of storyboarding software, I was just ""animating"" the movements with Shotcut) forced me to find creative workarounds. I could fill at least 3 pages with writing dissecting all my choices lol but idt therell be much interest in me analysing my own art. Thank you so much for watching my animatic :)

1. ALL SEVEN ELEMENTALS BEIBEEEEEEEEH!!!!!

Not one by one like the comic counterpart, but literally Boboiboy used a freaking Hepta Split!

Tbh my expectations were low cause I was skeptical that Monsta not want to bring them after that last ep (link). But HOLY SHIT WTF???!!!!

I am absolutely jumping in my seat like a football supporter, I can't--

They got short screen time--I DON'T CARE. They still got a chance to team up once again after a whole 8 years since the first movie! Besides, that movie also shortened their screen time.

Whoever decided to make Oboi's armor resemble an ant needs a raise. That's freaking clever.

Btw it seemed their hats were locked with Oboi's position. Also, Hali, and Duri were the only elements that used their sword? Interesting...

"Kembali Beraksi" rearrangge version in the background during the whole scene?? Yes please!!!

Even though it is just short, their portrayal somehow solidified my deduction about the elementals.

Anywho I am still in tears that they finally showed up on screen again. That is my personal wishlist ever since when they announced the show. I am already satisfied with that alone tbh (like really, why should Monsta need to cut that part where they were essentially the big part of the promotion during the Windara comic arc??)

2. Finally Monsta went bold.

Oh, I looooooove that moment. Monsta started to not hold back and I am captivated by every single one of it. The dying scene was well executed, all voice actors were perfect, and this scene reminds me of this.

In my opinion, this scene was also a test for their next project which honestly more dark and horror(the most horror arc throughout the galaxy series for me)

3. IT IS TIME FOR BELIUUUUUNG!!!!

Can I say Nurfathiah Diaz as Beliung here was downright phenomenal? Like holy shit, this is by far her best performance imo, yet.

Her voice acting was blown me away and I could see her improvement from Taufan's first debut to Beliung's was....I'm-I'm lost for words right now.

Look at this line delivery! (Her laugh felt diabolical and I love it.)

"Tuanku yang seksa penduduk planet ni, paksa orang tua dan budak-budak kerja di lombong, tapi saye yang biadab?!"

Edit: Turns out she was pregnant when recording Beliung??

My Respect to her went rocket. Wow.

As a person who watch her performance since the very first season of Upin&Ipin until Boboiboy... I couldn't be more proud :')

And the animation team seriously packed the action right to the tea! Reramos was absolutely blasted the whole way by Beliung. He's as ruthless as Taufan's OG era!

See? See??? Being patient is worth it guys. Therefore I was easily enjoyed the design choice of Beliung's TV ver without seeing leaks.

Taufan's upgraded board also acted as weapons and wings? Genius. And also directly parallel to the first fight with Maripos. He even said this:

Now I am 100% ready for other 3rd tier designs if this is what Monsta decides to continue on.

To end this, Monsta decided to some sort of "invite" Oboi and Kuputeri into a small dark room, purposely to give a more in-depth conversation between the two, linked by Kuputeri's telepath power.

In my opinion, I prefer this strategy rather than the comic counterpart. Cause in a way, Monsta wants to show the bond between Kuputeri and Oboi as same as how Tok Kasa did with him in movie 2. Symbolize by placing the hat as they entrusted their power to the very same boy.

It might be exaggerating but that jumbled corrupted effect when Beliung's struggled? Impressive. Even more impressive that Monsta knowingly used the same effect when "finally" showcasing Beliung's card.

Speaking of ads, now they released the merchandise after the debut.

Everything's not perfect and I do have slight issues, but honestly? I'm pretty satisfied with this episode! They ended it nicely done!

Lastly—

Are they not use DWIFUSION as their next title? If so, Gentar arc and Baraju arc are separated! Thank god! My biggest worry apparently will not come true! Alhamdulillah!!

reunion volume thoughts

first off oh damn goodbye Jin, Claudia, and Bea gonna miss yall so much 🥲😭

second, this was just such an anticlimactic way to say goodbye to all these characters lol

I'm not mad at them bringing in all the characters in groups so not everyone gets introduced all at once, but oh why did we start with Sienna and Hazel and then only at the end did we get Claudia, Theo, and Bea? Like I love a drama filled season, but even this I'm like let me take a victory lap with my friends first pleaseeee

I had enough gems so I was like ehh fuck it I'll listen to Hazel's airport drama but I did notice for more details about the same/related story later on you did still have to pay gems which is ridiculous and also if you didn't pay for at least one, then it's literally just them bickering for most of the reunion and then you get a little bit of free drama between your LI and some other dude. Like I think if you care less about the casa islanders' drama (which I absolutely understand bc I also care less about those islanders' stories), then this was a boring volume pretty much

small odd thing was that no other islanders showed up. like I get that not everyone would show if this was real and for the fiction clearly fusebox just doesnt want to draw the other islanders, but fusebox would only have to draw one dress for the missing islanders and it would make sense for them to show up. like Rachel is an OG where is she?? Felicity had some drama with the guys too how abou her?

Tyler's storyline didn't do much for me bc he gets dumped so fast that it's weird he has all these declarations about missing his connection with MC and wishing he had another chance. And it's sweet and tbh after playing this volume I do like Tyler's character more, but it's still so intense so fast. But also, if this whole storyline was for a reunion in s4 for Hazeem??? would love that. Like he got to know MC for a while but was pursuing Najuma and he realized too late he should've went for MC.

Oakley and Emel not making it on the outside was absolutely expected it went exactly how i thought it would but I do still wish they got 3rd or 4th place at least

Sophie and Jack together but unhappy and unpopular also something I would've predicted.

Sophie and Luna need to stopppp. I don't care for the other guys but I did pick Jack as the potential other man just to potentially piss off Sophie (unfortunately didn't really come into play).

why is Luna still salty though

althoughhhhh I did notice Luna and Tyler look good next to each other is all I'm saying. if both of them got more screen time I wouldn't be mad if they coupled with each other after MC stole Jin.

Hazel is such a mess

I want whatever tf the remaining casa boys have. like in my game it's Shawn and Kyle and I'm like are they... together? what's going on there? I know Kyle and Hazel have a thing and Shawn and Sienna are no longer a thing but what's happening there? Also I have challengers on the mind so like.. heyyyy Shawn, Kyle, and Hazel, what's uhh the situation

Bea is barely in this. I know I've already said that but I'm so upset

Ngl the bit where Liam is teasing Claudia about hosting the game is kinda funny I wish all the characters had more fun in-character dialogue like that

I can't be bothered with the Max and Hari drama even though that seemed to be the main focus of the reunion and then you still have to pay gems for the whole story

and Jin's texting airport drama was so small too like it's really nothing and went exactly how I'd expect it to go

ok so general thoughts/fixes

the way almost everyone is single and you get a chance to run away with the og boys (plus liam) one last time doesn't really work for me (except Liam I guess his thing was fine, I do like the realism of him being like I came off as such an asshole I'm sorry but then also still being a little messy bc that's just him). I think maybe if there was an actual gap irl between the reunion getting released and the s8 finale it would feel better.

personally I think it could've just gone like the S1 reunion where it's a two parter, first of all. second, we get the scenery change whether it's Christmas in S1 or in S8's case, make it more autumn since it's been a few months. Again, just adds to the feeling like time has passed bc if it's just in the villa, it doesn't feel like we ever really left? THTH2 does this well too because they're still on an island vacation but they changed the backgrounds at least because it's a different location and I think that helps a lot.

I'd like less casa islanders drama and less dumped OG islanders drama

Literally would be okay if it was just partying and seeing like hey what are you up to? Is Hari's business going well? Is Jin booked and busier than ever as a model? Did MC and her partner move in together? Like we got a little bit from Liam's podcast news, Tyler traveling, and the broken up couples' relationship status, but that's it I think.

I'm trying to remember what made the other reunions so fun and I think fusebox gets close but not quite. So the first two revolve around weddings/proposals and S3 around a potential breakup, but I do like the idea of everyone hearing how one or two of the islanders slandered everyone on a podcast and they're all mad. It just also doesn't work because what if MC doesn't care? So it needs to be that plus something with your LI (for good or for bad), and then cut out most of the other stuff. Like we can include that apparently all the casa people hooked up with each other at one point but let's not let that be the main storyline or let it be less prevalent

you should be able to run away with Claudia or Bea if you're allowed to run away with the OG boys at the end. Like they can have the same storylines as the guys too, Bea being single and ready to move into a real relationship that she realized she wasn't really ready for during the show (like Tyler) and then Claudia yet again having doubts about Theo like the broken record that relationship is (like the guys in an unhappy couple with Emel/Sophie/Luna).

also ending in a big group hug is lame, it's very friend island energy and even s3 doesn't end like that. might as well copy S1 just end with your LI or running away with some other character while the person that was pursuing them earlier yells at you (does this only happen with Tim/Jen? I don't remember lol)

Tango - stopwatch. Lil reference to him running the death games in s1 and 2, also to match his general sense of urgency. Also can be used for red stone timing

Impulse - watch. Simple, practical, but has his own lil flair to it with his logo. Stays on the wrist so he doesn’t have to worry abt other people nabbing it or it getting broken, kinda symbolizes his tendency to play multiple sides to keep himself safe. Also has a day/night cycle, connecting him to Bdubs after double life

Etho - sleek, elegant design. Can be glanced at quickly to see time. Day/night cycle connecting him to Bdubs bc. They cannot be normal about each other. A small sundial bc he’s been around these parts a while and also it just feels like something he would brag about being able to read.

Skizz - forget-me-nots symbolize skizz’s loyalty to his people and his kindness to everyone. Also, as the first to lose a significant amount of time, given as a reminder to. Yknow. Remember him. Cracked after being killed twice by boogeymen in ep 1

Mean Gills:

Martyn - simple, easy to read and glance at, can be clipped to a weapon or tool so he can see it easily, imbued with his status as a follower of the listeners.

Scott - poppy in the middle to symbolize his ties to Jimmy, which keep popping up despite. Everything. A gold heart which is awarded to each of the victors. Scott’s clock originally had chains around it, put there by the Watchers/ higher beings/ whoever to prevent him from messing with his clock, broken immediately bc Scott found them annoying

Nosy Neighbours:

Pearl - locket. Unseen in drawing, but a wolf’s head is carved into the front. Phases of the moon show how much time she has left rather than numbers. A gold heart awarded to each of the victors.

BigB - cookie clock! Lighthearted and fun, shows bigb’s brand a bit, not really intense or complex, showing how bigb tends to be pretty upfront and chill throughout the games

The Clockers:

Cleo - an old clock that matches the aesthetics of the Time Witch from wcsmp. The inner mechanisms are visible to represent how she usually plays with all her cards on the table, and is very upfront with her allegiances and her reasonings etc. elegant and a bit imposing.

Bdubs - a busted-up clock that doesn’t work anymore. Or, well, the inner mechanisms work. It ticks. Nobody can see how much time is left though. Chipped and cracked from the last three games. Blood from first boogey kill.

Scar - an hourglass with a dark oak border. Can’t have a scar clock and not put desert duo in it. Anyways, not only does the sand represent Scar’s permanent ties to the desert, it also is a very clear visual, meaning Scar doesn’t have to worry about accidentally jumbling numbers when reading his time (dyslexia is a bitch)

The Bad Boys:

Joel - Two ruby eyes representing the red that is always in Joel, no matter his colour, as well as acting as a small nod to his wolves in 3rd life. The hands are dagger-shaped, but round at the ends (he is scary but also a wet cat. If you are loyal to him he will not so much as scratch you). Scorched from Bad Boy Actions in ep 1

Jimmy - canary wings going round and round, cyclically. A cage that should open; it has hinges. Jimmy cannot open it yet. (If someone else dies first, he might be able to) also scorched from Bad Boy Actions

do you have any drawing tips? i'm just starting out and your style inspires me to keep going fr!!

HIYA !!! thank you that is so kind of you, i would say to keep drawing with references and do studies!! typically art studies (in like art school lol) are of old masters (da vinci, etc) but doing studies of styles that you like, like trying to copy a certain artist you like, also helps you develop skills !!

for example, lots of people (especially fanartists lol) do studies of artists like leyendecker while making the models their favorite characters/ocs, so it helps to make studies fun. literally look up leyendecker study on tumblr dot com and you will see hundreds.

(gets a bit long and rambly so i've thrown it under the cut :')

style studies can be anything! above was done while watching wolfwalkers, just loose sketches that copied the style as the movie went along. i love the design and style in that film, wanted to incorporate it in my character design work, so i tried it out myself! it let me know the kinds of shapes used in the construction, the way it moves (wrt to animation) and silhouettes. by copying something, you learn how to do it on the way (so the kinds of colors used, what works best with shading, etc) it's like. reverse engineering

even very loosely copying something to identify what you like about the style helps! these were modelled after the way slimsense on ig paints (her work is 2nd + 4th examples below, my attempts at 'paint' 1st and 3rd lol), but doesn't really look like her work. i'm not necessarily trying to make perfect copies. i liked that her paint didn't blend perfectly, was blocky, and the additional lineart over the painting, so i brought that into my own art. i tried to create a painting style that was 'my own' off of lots of trial and error, and seeing what stuck!

also find brushes you like! adobe has a bunch on their page (if you have photoshop, but i know there's some for procreate and other programs) and if you want the adobe brush files, lmk. i will send a drive link to you LOL (sketches of the same characters, using different brushes below. the two i used the most often, one being a solid inker and the other being a paintbrush)

generally doing figure drawing is good too. i've heard advice about art where you can only start breaking the rules after you understand them, and a good grasp on anatomy, proportions, etc is definitely a good place to start! good sites to use for this are line of action for poses, and the morpho books (if you need pdfs of this let me know, though you should be able to find them if you look lol) !

i would also say learn perspective early on. i have no tips for you here i am so sorry. i didn't and now it bites me in the ass, but there has to be a youtube tutorial for this out there that can help you AND me. same goes for color theory. quickly dropping my favorite van gogh quote of all time:

(quote is from a letter to his brother) just everyone needs the fundamentals first. don't worry about a personal style: that just comes naturally as you develop as an artist, and i was certainly inspired by a lot of the things i watched/consumed and artists i admired which absolutely shows in my work i think (manet. western comics. fma. avatar. pjo fanart. there are tells. you know how it is.)

also flip your canvas !!! like see below ... frankly this marcille is so lopsided (her entire face should shift to the left) LOL !! flipping horizontally makes the anatomy mistakes obvious, and shows you you what you need to fix. i should never have posted this as is but sometimes it works for humor and an artist is lazy </3

AND ALWAYS USE REFERENCES WHEN YOU CAN!! i should use more references tbh!!! it helps with posing, getting anatomy correct, etc, and my friends use pinterest a lot, though i tend to just google when i need to LOLLL

also draw what you like. there is genuinely nothing that is better for your art than getting into something REALLY BAD and then non stop drawing it. time + practice will lead to improvement no matter what the subject is!

i hope this was not too much information all at once !!! and some of it is helpful!!! it's a lot of basic improvement tips that i try to practice and use when i can :) so sorry that this got so long!!!!

Ok ok. So. My whole life I’ve identified as and been told/assigned introvert. (While also being “the social one” of my nuclear family)

But let’s go look up the definitions. (Webmd is apparently one of the first results so we’re going with it)

If “An introvert is a person with qualities of a personality type known as introversion, which means that they feel more comfortable focusing on their inner thoughts and ideas, rather than what's happening externally. They enjoy spending time with just one or two people, rather than large groups or crowds.” Then fuck yes I am an introvert FOR SURE. I do vastly prefer spending time with just one or maybe two people (it can be a bit overwhelming in groups tbh)

People who are extroverts tend to be very talkative, sociable, active, and warm. Jung defined an extrovert as someone who feels energized by the external world and social interactions.” Hmm. I *can* be very talkative and social (case in point I like doing longer replies sometimes 😘) less so irl (since 3rd grade. Before that I was maybe fairly outgoing?) but 🤷🏻

I vaguely recall hearing that introverts get their energy from being alone and extroverts from being around others. And by that definition I’m both? I have briefly considered “could be an ambivert” and then I. Stop thinking about it bc it doesn’t really matter. I need to recover with some alone time always. But. If I’m with one of my friends 😁 like when I’m with her?!? I’m just so happy!! I don’t think I’ve ever loved another person more tbh (but no I’m not in love with her nor do I want to be in a relationship with her. Like yes I trust her enough to snuggle and I haven’t really thought about it much but I am almost certainly open to a QPR if she and her partner were okay with it. But I can’t imagine life without her.)

Favourite time of day… hmm. On my days off - sunset or sunrise if I happen to be awake :) (or if I make myself breakfast and a latte and go eat outside :))

On work days: that area where I’m still waking up while I’m at work but before we’re open (6-7 or sometimes 5-7 am) and I play music out loud from my pocket :) (sure I pass by my coworkers sometimes but I try to keep my distance in case they can hear) or if I get to bother/talk to one of my coworkers I went to school with :)

On Adventure Days: whichever time I get to see my friend(s)!!!!!! If not a friend adventure: whichever time I get to relax: be it staring at the ocean or chilling in a park or something, ideally with food.

(the last one I made was a few pages from a story I was writing as well.) (there are so many things I want to draw as comics. I don’t really draw things the same though so I Worry but why?!? Why worry?!? Just have fun, maybe the skill will slowly develop on the way!! I am trying to convince myself of this)

I’m a bookbinder!! I would love to be an apprentice for this actually!!! (I have made exactly one hardcover for a wedding present (classmate in college and on the board with me) and mostly I did a couple Japanese Stab Bound and some Coptic stitched notebooks/sketchbooks for friends :))

(I would like to make handmade paper too!! I haven’t yet but I got a cheap frame kit to start one day!!)

I’m a calligrapher since finding a book of calligraphy alphabets in fifth grade in my elementary school library but I am VERY out of practice bc I really only do it for cards now.

I’ve done exactly one leatherwork project but I really want to be able to be a leatherworker too! Also a career I would love to apprentice for! But the specific studio I want to learn at I can’t afford to move there. The sustainability of creating something that will last for generations is 🥹💖

I’m not really a ceramicist. Sometimes I enjoy it a lot sometimes the texture is Too Much. But either way the way clay sucks up moisture from my already easily cracked hands means it’s not something I can pursue professionally, though I do think I want to take more classes :) so. Sort of sometimes 🤷🏻 but it’s better for my poor hands to mostly stick to painting at the paint your own ceramics studios :)

I guess I take photos as a hobby, but even though I have over 21,000 on my phone… ok 2600 are screenshots… I do not consider myself a photographer. Mostly I just like to have reminders of things I’ve done bc I have a hard time remembering and I get things all jumbled up in my head all the time.

And I want to sew as well. I would love to be able to make and mend my own clothes and items! I have a half finished bag that I started in sewing club but uh. We’ll see if I’m ever able to finish it… (when I find it and my sewing case again… like?? Where did it GO?)

I mostly cook rather than bake. But I can. And I’m a cake decorator! (And FUCK I kinda want to make an Ivycakes cake but I can’t remember who said this initially of the ass cake but also I live with my family and while my sister will simply raise an eyebrow and judgementally go “okay”, my parents would Judge)

But I love making things and doing little experiments (mushroom chili French toast this morning anyone? Could’ve used more chili oil tbh. But it was good! Update!!! made it the next morning too (this morning) and added more chili oil and that was really good but it could’ve used more butter), and sometimes you just need to stir something (* when my wrists/hands are okay to)

I write - mostly poetry and lyrics, mostly of the vent variety but I’m trying to branch out into the euphoria variety and things that bring joy variety too.

I also write stories sometimes. Not very often currently. I’ve written scripts in my intro to scriptwriting class but I REALLY loved it!! Such a different format than I’m used to!!

In that vein I want to actually finish composing and arranging and (probably completely rewrite the lyrics) maybe record a song (with no guarantees of quality, I am set to do One (1) this year based off a flippant comment which a discord server said That’s Your New Year Resolution Now to and I agreed)

And also in this vein I am Playing Music Again (#shatters plays music again) and picking up instruments I haven’t played since high school ✌️ I was lucky enough to have my own flute since middle school (buying a cheap one was cheaper than renting one even just through middle school and I also played into high school) anyway I still somehow remember a lot bc I played for 6 years!! Which I am so delighted by!!! I’m not good and way slower than I used to be but excitement!! and I switched to tenor sax in grade 12 (I got to borrow one from the school) which was AMAZING and I found one off facebook marketplace this year!!! (I need to uh. Wash the mouthpiece. But then to reteach myself!!! Bc I only played for one year uh. Nearly a decade ago (we’ll round up in this case for Emphasis) so I don’t have that same muscle memory in place and I’m unsure on the fingerings even though they’re VERY SIMILAR to the flute. AND I can’t remember who said the fingerings are the same in alto and bari sax too but 👀 might have to see about alto at some point too?!? (My lungs simply would give out if I attempted bari)

BUT I HAVE A GREAT NEED TO LEARN STRINGED INSTRUMENTS!!! Partially so I can play while not in the greatest respiratory health. Partially bc I MUST. Have always been obsessed with cello. Used my free 30 min lesson for the cello instead of my flute like it was Intended for (to further develop skills for band) ✨ guitar is very versatile but honestly it’s cool ass guitarists and bassists that make me want to play. But getting to play the guitar last month is GROUNDBREAKING and I really want to!! (It uh. Might hurt my left wrist/hand too much to properly finger. But we’ll see. Maybe I need to try one of the left handed opposite guitars?? Idk.) (I used to play ukelele!) and I’d love to learn piano even though my fingers are too short (or so I’ve always been told) but even without knowing how to play they’re so much fun to make noise on!!

I got to play violin and guitar on my trip and even just open string bowing IS SO GOOD AND FUN AND NICE and screwing around with a guitar is too!!! (Maybe I’ll post one one day? But I have to edit for sure bc it has my full face there)

But guitar or cello or keys would be the first. Unsure which. (Sis says to “work on the ones I have first”, but there’s so much joy in noise in so many forms!!!!! (I could learn trumpet on hers!! But I remember it made my lips feel weird when we tried when she first got it)

Bc keys are more versatile and can have different instrument settings depending on the keyboard BUT. Idk.

(Why yes FB marketplace advertises instruments to me all the time and is pretty much the only reason I pop on every once in a while 🥺)

Other sports type things I do intermittently… I used to play badminton but the local clubs are SUPER COMPETITIVE and I am simply here to have a good time. Maybe I’d join an intramural soccer team again if it was casual. I did one set of kickboxing lessons in high school and would like to do it again one day. Especially now that I’m more comfortable driving around to where I’d need to go now than when I was freshly licensed :) I enjoy paddling more than swimming and take every chance to canoe or kayak or even dinghy sailboat I can! (…it’s been a while! I should see if groupon has any deals when I have any money again) One day I might get a cheap blow up paddle board so I can just kinda chill out on the water but. The life jacket is a very important investment for that. Tbh I’m not the strongest swimmer.

I don’t like hiking in rural Rural areas unless I’m with a group with someone who knows more about wildlife/safety than I but I’m also slower than a lot of people so I tend to mostly just do nature walks/ocean strolls when I can. Can’t be left behind if you’re on your own!! (And I enjoy being on my own) (but I do get sad when I’m left behind)

I dance a bit sometimes (a little less since I uhh Very Likely threw it back too hard to Granite and uh. Pulled something in my chest and ended up in the ER after a few days thinking I was dying. 😬)

I go to concerts again now :) hoping I continue getting to for a long time!! I love going to art exhibits! I love going to cat cafes! and really any cute cafe tbh. Going to try fancy croissants!

(Is getting tattoos a hobby? Bc I want more!! Too many ideas too little time and money and time for timing it for healing while still working bc I need my time off for other trips, mostly to see concerts and visit a semi local ish friend that’s maybe 3-5 hours away depending?)

Quilting i have both ideas (too many truly) and supplies for but no skills yet haha.

I inherited knitting supplies and maybe crocheting supplies from my grandma so. Probably those at some point? I liked finger knitting when I tried it at a library workshop ages ago (small child. I have no idea how I remember this…) so probably I’d start with knitting?

I love playing video games! Especially like. Stardew Valley! And anything potions! (I enjoyed Potionomics a whole lot even though I’ve never played a card deck game) and also dating sims ✨ (pacthesis games my beloved back then!! Would still replay now if I could) (I only play on PC or steam deck bc that was a decision I made haha but I was happy I got it when I was sick and at home and couldn’t be assed to use my laptop bc it was a Barrier and I just Couldn’t.)

I would love to make a silly little text based game (think sim date flash games (does anybody else remember pacthesis?) but like. Not a dating sim (ah well,, maybe also a dating sim? Idk. I’ve so far only scripted one adventure one out when I took a coding class in high school) and in theory all I have to do is brush up on python and I could do a very simple one 👀 but honestly given the time commitment I probably won’t for quite some time *if* I do bc I’ve heard other languages are better suited for nicer games. (I do indeed have two different game making engines, untouched (they were free at the time but I have no clue about now))

Shopping is less of a hobby and more of a necessary evil and also I love getting new art supplies or new supplies for a new hobby I *hope* to start 😬

32 - What is a line from a poem/novel/fanfic etc that you return to from time and time again? How did you find it? What does it mean to you?

There isn't really a line I return to, however there are certain scenes where I will go back to again and again because they evoke a distinct feeling or a period of time. For example this gahan fic, the first line of the last scene, where gaon wakes when the rain falls in the early hours of the morning, while they're in a tiny safehouse somehow brought back memories of when my mother took me with her to France when I was 3yo (she was interning at a hospital and couldn't leave me to anybody back home). The only thing I remember from that time is the fuzzy feeling of being awake right before the sun rises, with the sound of rain falling outside

33 - Do you practice any other art besides writing? Does that art ever tie into your writing, or is it entirely separate?

I draw !! I mean I used to ? I've been drawing for a long time but have not had any time to dedicate to it since february last year because I began a very intense internship. then i enrolled into grad school and it's been even busier. Might link my previous art blog here some day :') It does not really tie into writing for me because I only recently started trying to write ff, as tdj fan community is so nice and creative, and because I felt I needed an outlet for ideas if I couldn't draw them. Tbh I also think it's because I feel intimidated to draw for tdj as my style is more anime-like and it's super hard to translate that well when drawing from live action media (all the tdj artists i've seen so far are doing so great tho it's all very cool)

35. What’s your favorite writing rule to smash into smithereens?

I'm actually not sure ! I'm not a native speaker of english it's like my 3rd language, so I think I lack a lot of the nuance in how to wield it. when it comes to crafting a story, I think I start writing down things before I figure out what exactly I'm trying to convey. This is a certainly interesting situation. A very quiet man with a child, unexpected! (Positively speaking of course)

It would probably depend on its age

If she's a kid; He'd definitely try to make time from his work to hang out. After all, kids need attention!

He'd probably also take her to work (before "it" started) with Myer's consent

While Myer isn't a big fan of kids, it is basically Myer's favorite in the workplace

and sometimes will take it to his office to let it just do whatever as Winston takes care of business.

Sometimes Myer makes Victor take of it as well.

Victor has tried to give it alcohol on multiple occasions; with Vincent stopping him. (Husbands /hj)

But after "it" started, he'd definitely have someone such as Draco take care of her. Winston doesn't want for his daughter to see what he's done.

Tbh, Winston might've also made a system for Draco in which Draco acts like a second parent for it!

But if she was to be a teen/older; He'd definitely let her come along to his work (with Myer's permission of course) and teach it about the work place

Also, note that He's not much of an affectionate, touchy or showy person. He stays quiet (he usually coughs) but with his daughter; he's definitely more talkative

If it decides to work alongside with Winston, he'd definitely be proud and show it the way

Especially if it's in the robotic industry; Winston will let it use Draco as practice (Sorry Draco)

I headcanon that Winston does sign language so his daughter might also have to learn it and they can have conversations

Winston would definitely get into whatever it is into; especially if it's technology related

Let's start off with the dates between the two lovebirds;

Albert loves ocean life. So if it takes them to anything ocean related, they're head over heals for it already. (/Hj)

But Albert definitely goes to aquariums, holding its hand and ranting about all of the different animals (I hope you have patience)

But otherwise, Albert is definitely not into PDA. They love reserved hand holding and such.

Holding hands while deeply breathing together is something he loves much

He seems like to be the small spoon and say that he's a knife (he's not.)

Oh definitely plushie and blanket castles. Only it is allowed in

But also; free therapy! Like genuine therapy not .... (That)

It will occasionally find eyes in his room. Don't panic; it's just his ... Collection

He sometimes works later than usual so he'll definitely quickly call and say that

Since he's a dream therapist; he'll definitely try to make sure it doesn't have any bad dreams or nightmares or whatever

But if it does happy, comfort all night long!

Definitely drawing her on his papers and paperwork whenever he doesn't want to do it

Every patient knows a bit about her; not in a creepy way but they know of her existence and wondering why Albert

Albert loves playing games, wether it'd be card or cup and ball; he'll play it.

He gets very competitive in card games.

And when I say competitive; I MEAN IT.

Also definitely bought it one of those messager boxes and all and he sends cute little photos via it

He takes photos of dates and has them on repeat on his computer (like a slide background), it helps him get through the day

Been playing Clangen a lot recently, seeing as I decided to do this challenge from the Clangen discord and I have no memory of who came up with the challenge but the rules are this

And I got to 200 moons (still going, going to see if I can get to ten leaders in total, on I think six rn).

So I'm going to draw the leaders I've had so far in the morning, when it isn't late at night, and I'll obviously put them on Tumblr, so I also wanted to share the screenshots I took of each leader when I got to 200 moons. Also I like referring to them with their warrior names because that's fun.

1st: Brokenclaw

Might well have been the only tortoiseshell in this family for a very long time, whatever.

2nd. Gannettuft

He had a brother from his litter, but Owlpaw was killed by rogues, so...

He also spent the last moons of his leadership lamenting that he couldn't retire.

And had two mates, first a tom named Minkjaw and then after Minkjaw died, a she-cat named Freezewhisper, and originally his heir was one of Minkjaw's kits, Archsight, but she fucking died, and it's Freezewhisper's legacy now.

3rd. Crowspark

Crowspark was cool. See, her firstborn kit was from the short amount of time I had unmated cats can have kits on, so she just has a random child with a loner or something. Her grandson named one of his daughters after her which is hecking cute.

4th. Apricotheart

What genetically accurate cats no such thing here! Apricotheart died kind of young because she was taken by twolegs... Then her wife had like two more husbands, and no more kits, and I need to look into Newtwhisker because she's weird.

5th. Cowblossom

Also taken by Twolegs, like his mum, which is really sad. Also his husband fucked up the family tree site I was using, so thanks Loranight.

6th. Sootfur

I don't remember anything she did tbh she's the last one I have a screenshot of but I can list the other two leaders that have been had.

7th. Softeyes

His husband, Beamspots, and him are this clan's OTP. Very cute. He lost a life to a hawk and then was MURDERED by his DAUGHTER (who wasn't even the heir like Frozenstem what are you doing) which was mental.

8th. Buzzardhare

Hasn't done much yet. She currently has four kits, one of whom is an adult, Archstrike (awww he was named after his... (frantic searching) half great-great-great aunt) and the other three, Scarkit, Snakekit and Starlingkit are four moons old.

That was a fucking infodump.

Once Archstrike's daughter Swiftkit is leader I can leave this damn clan alone, but until then I'ma draw the main family tree which is fucking massive.

It's my 12 year anniversary on Tumblr 🥳

Ah I remember it like it was yesterday.

At the time websites like blogger and WordPress was having an economical hit. Creators were gravitating to other micro blogging websites like Facebook and Twitter and amongst them was Tumblr!

I was only blogging my "photography" and food photos at the time, didn't take off very much. The only advertising you had was go to other peoples blogs, comment and subtly advertise your blog.

So when the other photo bloggers started gravitating away, I just went with the one that suited my type of micro blogging.

The ecosystem of Tumblr was mostly photography, and heeps of fan blogs like f*ck yeah edit fan blogs for Disney, Merlin, Harry potter, and supernatural.

I had a computer at the time so I was in love with the editing side like HTML and I love you can reblog things in between your regular blog post. I wasn't into art yet.

This wasn't my first Tumblr blog. I wanna say it's my 3rd version of this blog, but I think it's probably the 5th version. I was always changing the layout of it.

I don't remember when I started drawing tbh. I think it was during the lana del rey era. She just made her second single or album and ema watson just started acting outside of harry potter, and game of Thrones was just starting. I think I was bored one day waiting for a call back for a job interview and took my moms iPad and tried digital art. It was hideous ngl. But I wish I kept the photos would be nice to look back on them. Eventually I started liking drawing again. I drew mostly fan art of my favorite shows at the time, Merlin, reign, supernatural, game of Thrones. Plus there were a few Tumblr artist I was so obsessed at the time, so it ignited my interest in art after so many years!

I was posting most of my art on a side blog. The main blog was a spam account 😅 but eventually I moved everything back to this main blog so it wouldn't be hard to interact with other creators of this site. I can't seem to link the blog here from my phone.

By 2021 my computer got destroyed and I haven't been able to edit this blog. And the phone version sucks! I haven't posted a lot of my art here because I just hated posting on the app.

I'm still trying to post more here and twitter and threads.

Anyways thank you for those who have been following me for all these years! If there's any of you left!
