It's not my ride or die but I do like it and the main point people go for is that he:

A. Has a deadname, canonically. Some people in the fandom do actually use it because they believe that he should be proud of it.

B. Hates his dad, doesn't want anything to do with him. He hates his own blood for even being associated with him.

C. Hates the way he was born, he hates his skin, hates his body. The way he hates himself is near unique to only people in his circumstances (me) and LGBT people (also me+).

D. Made his own found family 3 different times (ASL + Bandits, The Spade Pirates & the Whitebeard Pirates)

E. Is always shirtless. That alone isn't a point, it's an add-on many people like to give in lists like this due to the implications of being proud of his body. He is less likely to have any scars as in the One piece universe, two people have the ability to change a person's sex and another can change out your body parts for anything he wants it to be. With these people in mind, you can make anyone you like trans*

F. He always seems to need to prove himself as his own man. Canonically, this is a 'i am not my father's mistakes' thing but yk read how you want to read.

G. His whole thing is that he just wants to live his life freely. Like yeah, that's basically all the pirates but like nooooo he is different, he wants a different kind of freedom, it's on a deeper level.

H. Young Ace is pretty androgynous looking to a lot of people. Ngl most One piece young boys look very androgynous or even kinda fem, looking directly at you little crocodile.

(it's also with adding that Ace has a... Friend who tried to steal his name upon meeting him, that guy is widely concerned trans so if you see Ace as trans, it's even more funny)
