I know you can’t squeeze ice or snap a rubber band but maybe trying to focus on one thing like a sight, a sound, a feeling? Try to manually slow your breath if you can, focus on it, count things around you. Count the pixels in the screen, the things on the ceiling, feel the hospital gown against you if you can. I know it hurts and I’m sorry.
