Goood morning!!!!! it’s Saturday!!!! chill out and do nothing !!!! unless you have something to do, do that but don’t let it stress you!!!! Things to do are part of life, can’t avoid them might as well try to look forward to them!
#Or maybe look forward to getting them over with….you could do that too if it’s something so dreadful you’d rather not#I used to HATE going to track practice and like. Doing it.#I kid you not! It was the worst! I’d cut corners and complain all practice#And it was a MISERABLE season for me#But! This year I actually look forward to being there and doing the work#I give it my all! Even when I hate it! When the other girls around me are down in the dumps over track I’m higher than ever!#Wanna know why?#Because believe it or not track got 20x more enjoyable when I started looking forward to it rather than dreading it#I’m EXCITED to go do 3x160s and carry mad balls and do starts!#I’m EXCITED to do all the things I hated last year! Because they’re helping me and they’re actually FUN!#Letting yourself enjoy something that seems like a lot of work or dreadful or smth like that actually makes it a lot more fun#And I have followed that philosophy since the start of track this year#I actually get a little mad when girls complain or try to cut the workouts because they’re being so negative for no reason!#Okay anecdote over bye bye ^_^#S.K thinks

On “Insecure Jikookers”…
Alright. I might lose followers for this and that’s very okay; curate your timeline and protect your peace babes. But for YEARS, every time the phrase “insecure jikooker” has come up on my feed my eyelid has done a little twitchy twitch 🤨🤨
And I have always ignored it, because I’ve never wanted to be out here policing ppl’s language and we are literally supposed to be having fun and celebrating love, like for me that’s the whole point, but —
I’ve been seeing the phrase popping up again surrounding the release of AYS and I just gotta say it.
You guys the term seems so culty 😬🥲
Like I think I get the origin (maybe)? It probably started when some of the early jikook bloggers (if you are one I salute you, I am not worthy, trust me this is NOT a dig at anyone, jikook bloggers are by and large cool and kind af 🙇♀️) would get these sketchy asks that were antis or cultists in disguise just casting aspersions on jikook’s bond or being blatantly homophobic and/or in general being rude little anonymous internet gremlins. Or maybe it was people who did want to believe that jikook was real but kept nagging and begging for reassurance at every turn, which I can totally see becoming annoying as hell and prompting people to start using the term.
But it feels like it’s used now as like a catchall for anyone who expresses any doubt or asks any critical questions? Even like… reasonable ones? And I used to see a lot of “hey believe what you want to believe but this is what I believe” but now it seems like the sentiment around jikooker communities has by and large become “if you don’t believe you’re an idiotic dumb person who has never known love — you’re either a rival shipper in disguise or WORSE (dun dun dunnnnn) an Insecure Jikooker — and we don’t want people like you around.”
And idk it just feels weird for a community that has always seemed to kind of pride itself on being the “rational, fact-based” ship… like we LOVE to be smug about how jikook don’t need edits to be obvious, don’t need slo-mo zooms with red circles and arrows because their chemistry and fondness and affection is just plain to see in basic footage. We’re the levelheaded ones 😌.
But doesn’t that mean that we should always be encouraging critical thinking, and if someone comes to a different conclusion than us, so be it? Like it or not, none of us have foolproof confirmation that jikook are anything more than very close friends. That’s literally all we know. The rest is our best guess based on vibes, anecdotes, dot-connecting, subtext and body language observation, experience, perception (!!This is a big one because confirmation bias is real!!), and suspicion. That’s literally it.
Look maybe I’m just projecting 😅 but when you criticize people for expressing reasonable doubt over something that is literally not confirmed, it’s just a little too religious fundamentalist for me! (This is why I was a bad Christian, because I always raised my hand and asked questions the Sunday school teacher didn’t like.)
Feel free to ignore me. I never want to come across as pushy or trying to stir up anything, it’s just a phrase that grinds my gears and I’m sort of hoping I’m not alone in that… but if I am, so be it! 🤣 would love to hear people’s thoughts because maybe I’m missing something.
(P.S. If you’re a troll who spams jikook blog inboxes this is not me defending you. You’re still annoying and you need a better hobby. Have you tried yoga? Snowboarding? Fly fishing? Filming food vlogs and/or painting? You should try cooking. You should stop being an anonymous internet troll stomping on everyone’s proverbial sandcastles and instead write a poem. K bye ✌️ )

From the Dead - Chapter 1
Warnings - None
Word Count - 4.8k
Summary - Twelve years after the events of The Dirt Under Your Nails, Caitlyn discovers that Jinx is still alive.
Author's Note - I used names from League of Legends, but I have never played the game. I did a few brief searches on the wiki, but I don't know anything more. I wasn't going for accuracy, I was just looking for things that fit my story. Also, if you read my drabble about CaitVi's fan kid, I did change his name. Now that season two is out, I feel like this was more fitting.
“You be a good boy for mommy while I’m gone, okay?” Caitlyn said as Jaydin hugged her tighter. She felt the wetness of his tears as he buried his face in her neck, and it was a struggle not to cry herself. The last time she had to travel for work he had barely been old enough to comprehend what was happening, but he knew exactly what was going on now. After a few more moments he let go of her, only to latch onto her leg as she stood to face Vi.
“Stay safe, Cupcake,” she said as she took her hand.
“It’s only a diplomatic mission. The only thing I’ll be in danger of is overeating at the hotel breakfast buffet,” Caitlyn chuckled. “You don’t need to worry about me, love.”
“When has that ever stopped me?”
“Fair point,” Caitlyn smiled as she leaned in to kiss her wife. Then they broke apart a second later when Cleo began cooing in Vi’s arms.
“She’s saying she’ll miss you,” Vi smiled.
“Awwww, I’ll miss you too,” Caitlyn said, leaning down to cover her baby’s head with kisses. Cleo giggled with delight and tried to grab Caitlyn’s hair. “I’m going to miss all three of you.”
“We’re gonna miss you too,” Vi said sadly. Caitlyn mirrored her expression and pulled her in for a hug.
“I love you, Mama,” Jaydin said, his voice sounding just as small as he was.
“I love you too, baby,” she smiled, crouching down to ruffle his hair and kiss his forehead. He gave her a tearful smile.
“Have a good trip, Cait,” Vi said, her voice gravelly. “I love you.”
She stood up and put her hand on Vi’s cheek, and Vi eagerly leaned into it. The tears in her eyes were more poorly concealed than Caitlyn’s. “I love you too. I’ll only be gone a week, I’ll be back home before you know it.”
“I sure hope so.”
Caitlyn pulled her in for another kiss, and they lingered much longer for this one. Then the horn sounded from the caravan on the street and Caitlyn pulled away with a sigh. “The airship’s going to leave without me if I don’t go now.”
“Bye, Mama,” Jaydin sniffed, wiping his nose on his sleeve. She ruffled his hair again and kissed the three of them on their foreheads.
“I love all of you so much. I’ll see you in a week, my babies.”
“Alright, get out of here,” Vi said playfully. She took Jaydin’s hand and pulled him away slowly so Caitlyn could get her suitcase. “You gotta catch your flight, you know the others can’t do anything without you.”
“I hope that won’t be the case here,” she joked, finally walking toward the caravan. “Goodbye!”
And with a chorus of waves and goodbyes behind her, Caitlyn got in and they drove away. Some of her coworkers shared anecdotes about missing their families too, but she barely heard them. She was in work mode now, and she had more than just diplomacy on her mind. It wasn’t anything concrete, anything certain. But it was the most promising lead she’d found since she started her search. After twelve long years, she’d almost given up hope. But if the tip she got was right, then their lives would be changed forever. And she hoped with everything she had that it would be for the better.
“I need a drink.”
Already halfway through the trip and nothing was going according to plan. The trail had gone cold almost as soon as Caitlyn had begun asking questions, and the dealings with the Shuriman government had proven more difficult than she’d anticipated. It was nothing she couldn’t schmooze her way through of course, but it was stressful nonetheless.
Steb accompanied her as she found her way to a seedy bar on the outskirts of the city. If there was one bit of undercity knowledge that Vi had made sure she learned, it was where to find the cheapest drinks. She could easily afford the pricier stuff at the hotel bar, of course, and a decade ago she would have gone back with the rest of her coworkers and done just that. But the drinks always tasted better in places like this, and she had come to discover that the atmosphere did well to put her mind at ease. More at ease than the fancy hotel did, anyway.
“Is this a brainstorming drink or a distraction drink?” Steb asked.
“Distraction.” Caitlyn hardly glanced at him as she sat down and waved the bartender over. “A whiskey, please, and a dark ‘n’ stormy for him. And two of whatever your specialty cocktail is.”
“How many times do I have to tell you, you don’t have to buy my drinks?”
“I don’t know, when are you going to start letting me?”
“You’re my boss, Caitlyn. It’s unprofessional.”
“Screw professional. We were friends before I hired you, weren’t we?”
“Only because you were my boss when we were enforce-”
“Weren’t we?” Caitlyn cut him off with a raised eyebrow and a smirk. He rolled his eyes and smiled back at her.
“Yeah, we were.”
“Then here’s to two friends enjoying the wonders of the Sun Disc.” She raised her glass before downing her whiskey. “Before we have to figure out how to convince emperor Azir to agree to the new trade deal.”
“He’d be a fool not to take it. I mean it’s practically a steal! They just don’t like it because we’re changing it.”
“Exactly! But they should expect that when they trade with the City of Progress. Piltover is built on our efforts to change things for the better.”
“A distraction drink that turns into a brainstorming drink. My favorite kind,” Steb joked.
“Shut up,” Caitlyn grinned. “I don’t want to talk about work. I just want to relax and enjoy… whatever this is.” She held up the cocktail, which was bright orange and had a tentacle sticking out of it. Steb picked his up and clinked his glass against hers.
“To drinking.”
She laughed. “To drinking.”
An hour and one Vastayan cocktail courtesy of Steb later, Caitlyn was ready to head back to the hotel. Her mind was buzzing, teetering on the precipice between tipsy and drunk. So she almost didn’t register what she saw.
But that blue hair was unmistakable.
“Oh my gods,” she whispered, almost too quiet for Steb to hear. “It’s her!” She tore across the bar, nearly tripping over a few chairs as she made her way to where she was laughing with one of the other patrons. “Jinx!”
She turned around, the confusion on her face quickly turning to shock and fear. “Caitlyn?”
“It’s really you,” she gasped. “I can’t believe it, it’s really you!”
Jinx glanced around before locking eyes with Caitlyn and shaking her head. “Not here.” She grabbed her arm and began dragging her toward the door. “You paid your tab, right?”
“Yes, but… what are you-?”
“I said, not here. Come on.”
So with one final glance at Steb, she followed Jinx out into the night as she darted into the alleyway and cut her way through the town. For a moment Caitlyn was transported back to the day she’d first met her sister; it seemed neither of them were very good at making sure she was keeping up. At least the wind stinging her face was helping sober her up a bit. That and the life-altering revelation that Jinx was still alive. Thankfully Steb knew the protocol for this unlikely situation- tail her and stay out of sight.
Caitlyn had no idea where they were going. The roads had so many twists and turns, and Jinx was twisting and turning even more. She was sure they’d doubled back on themselves at least three times by now. But just as she was about to ask where they were going, she realized they’d arrived at a row of houses carved into the face of a cliff. Jinx finally slowed to a walk and made her way to the house at the end of the row. She unlocked the door and held it open for Caitlyn, who couldn’t think to do anything but walk in.
“Sorry, I would just rather have this conversation in private. Welcome!” Jinx said awkwardly. “Oh wait, give me a second. I-I wasn’t expecting to have guests.”
Caitlyn stared around in awe as Jinx hurried to clean up the various wrenches, paint brushes, and take-out containers that were strewn around the room. She had a plush purple couch and a matching armchair, and a mahogany coffee table that Caitlyn could tell wasn’t cheap. But the most eye-catching thing in the room was the mural that she had painted on the wall. She had painted her and Vi running hand in hand with matching grins on their faces. Isha was running in between them, and she appeared to be laughing as she gazed up at Jinx. Silco was above her and Vander was above Vi, both of them smiling down at the girls. Sevika and Ekko were painted next to Jinx, and she knew the two boys next to Vi had to be Mylo and Claggor. And there were two more people in between Silco and Vander, a man with brown hair and a woman with a purple braid. But they were painted much smaller and looked intentionally faded, and they had no discernible facial features. It wasn’t as realistic as Ekko’s mural at the old Firelight base, but she’d never seen a painting that looked so full of life.
“There we go! Now we can talk,” Jinx said. “You can sit down if you want. Or maybe you don’t want to sit down. I don’t know, this isn’t really how I thought this would go… but you’re here now! So, I’m, uh… I’m guessing you have questions?”
“Of course I do, I-I can’t believe you’re alive! How are you still alive?”
“Vander saved me.” Jinx shrugged and flopped down into her armchair. “He pushed me right after I pulled the pin, and I used my shimmer speed to make it to the vents.”
“Wow, that’s… that’s incredible!” Caitlyn sat on the edge of the couch cushion, and she could feel tears in the corner of her eye. “And have you just been here this whole time?”
“Well, I traveled around for a few years at first, but yeah. I decided to settle down here. It’s a nice place.”
“Why didn’t you tell Vi?” Caitlyn asked, her voice quavering as she tried not to sound accusing. “She thought you were dead this whole time! We all did!”
“I know. I-I’m sorry. But I knew it would be better that way. I needed a fresh start so that I could figure out who I was again. I needed to walk away, and Vi never would’ve let me. Not really. And it was better for her too, I mean her entire personality has been about protecting me since she was four years old. Me dying was the only way she would start living for herself. And for you.”
“That’s… actually really sweet,” Caitlyn said softly. “But it’s been twelve years. Were you ever planning on telling her?”
“Yes, of course I was! I-I still do. It’s just the thought of going back there is so hard, and then the more time passes the worse it gets. Then I started to build a life here, and that just gave me another reason not to leave. And you guys have your own lives now!” Jinx insisted, gesturing to the wedding ring on Caitlyn’s finger. “I don’t want to mess everything up again.”
“I promise you, you won’t,” Caitlyn reassured her gently. “I would never want to take you away from your life here, and neither would she. But Vi deserves to know that you’re still alive. After everything you two have been through together. You can’t imagine how much she misses you.”
“I think I probably can,” Jinx said sadly, hugging her knees to her chest. “I’ve missed her too. Like you wouldn’t believe.”
“Then come back with me,” Caitlyn beseeched. “For a bit, at least. And see her again. She’ll be beyond overjoyed to see you, Jinx. She won’t hold it against you. You both deserve to have each other in your lives.”
Jinx turned away from her at that.
“And you deserve to meet your niece and nephew.”
“Wait, what? Y-you guys have kids?”
“We do,” Caitlyn smiled. “A little boy and a baby girl.” She made sure to pull her wallet out of her pocket slowly. Then she held out the pictures and Jinx sat next to her on the couch. “This is Jaydin, our oldest,” she said, pointing to the picture of him lying on Vi’s chest and waving a toy in the air. Their grins were so wide she could almost hear them laughing through the picture. Jinx took it gingerly, and she looked like she could hear it too. “He’s four years old now. And this is Cleo. She turns one in a couple of months.” She handed her the photo of Cleo too, the one of her sleeping in her crib a few months after she was born. Caitlyn had seen these pictures thousands of times, and they never failed to put a smile on her face.
“They’re beautiful,” Jinx said in awe.
“Thank you,” Caitlyn said proudly. “Jaydin would be so excited to meet you. His favorite bedtime stories are the ones Vi tells about you. You’re practically a superhero to him.”
“I bet she has to make up a lot of them,” Jinx chuckled humorlessly.
“Not as much as you’d think.”
Jinx was silent for a long moment, never taking her eyes off the pictures. Caitlyn watched her curiously as she slowly relaxed and leaned back into the couch. “Jaydin’s hair… it’s the same color as Mom’s,” she mumbled.
“Vi said the same thing,” Caitlyn nodded. “Look, I can’t tell you what to do, of course. But please, at least consider coming back with me. Here, I’ll write down the name of the hotel I’m staying in,” she said, taking out her notepad and pen. If Jinx agreed, Vi would never tease her for carrying them again. “I’ll be here for three more days. There will be a guard posted at the hotel, but I’ll let them know to look out for you. I can be in contact as much or as little as you want me to be.”
“Can I keep these?” Jinx asked after a moment, finally looking up at Caitlyn. “I-I promise I’ll give them back before you leave. It’s just… it’s nice to have something of her again.”
“Of course you can,” Caitlyn smiled. “I’m not trying to pressure you, Jinx. Well, okay, maybe just a little. But I sincerely hope you’ll come back to Zaun with me. Vi isn’t the only one who misses you. Ekko and Sevika would love to have you in their lives again too.”
“You know Sevika?”
“I do. She’s on the council, so I work with her pretty often.”
“She’s on the council?” Jinx smirked. “Good for her. I can’t think of a better person to represent Zaun.”
“I couldn’t agree more.”
“Things really have changed since I left, huh?”
“They have. Mostly for the better. I think you would be proud of all the progress we’ve made.”
“Oh yeah?”
“Yeah. It’s pretty incredible if I do say so myself. And Vi talks all the time about how much you would love it.”
“Oh. Yeah, yeah I bet she does.” Jinx stood up suddenly and walked toward the corner of the room, the photos clutched delicately in her hands. She let out a sigh that turned into a sniffle, and Caitlyn looked away respectfully.
“Well, I should get out of your hair. I don’t want to disturb you any more than I already have,” she said, leaving the note with her information on the coffee table. “Please think about it. Vi probably won’t believe me if you aren’t there with me. But there aren’t words for how happy she’ll be to find out that you’re alive.”
“I will,” Jinx said softly, turning to face her after a moment of silence. “It was, uh… it was nice to see you, Caitlyn.”
Without thinking Caitlyn hurried over to her. Jinx flinched but didn’t back away, and Caitlyn reached out to her cautiously. When she didn’t react she threw her arms around her and hugged her tightly. “I can’t say how happy I am to see you, Jinx. I always thought there was a chance you’d made it out, and I’ve never been so glad to be right about anything.”
Jinx stood frozen in shock at first, but she slowly put her arms around Caitlyn and relaxed into her touch. “I’m glad you were right too.”
“Well, I should probably head back now. I’ve got an early meeting tomorrow.”
“Right, of course,” Jinx said, stepping back and glancing away awkwardly. “Do you want me to help you find your way back to your hotel?”
“Oh no, that’s alright. I don’t want to take up any more of your time. I appreciate the offer, though.”
“Are you sure? It’s no trouble, really.”
“I’m sure. I actually enjoy finding my way around unfamiliar cities.”
“Really?”
“Yeah, Vi and I love doing it whenever we travel together. We’ll just wander aimlessly, exploring the city. We’ve found some of our favorite shops and restaurants that way.”
“Well, when you put it like that, it sounds fun,” Jinx smiled. “I guess I’ll see you around, then. Good luck with… whatever you’re here for.”
“Thank you, Jinx. I’ll see you soon.”
And with a nod and an awkward wave, Caitlyn left. The sky was even darker now as she made her way to the end of the neighborhood, the cool night air carrying the sounds of the bustling city ahead.
“There you are,” Caitlyn said as Steb stepped out of an alleyway a few blocks from Jinx’s house.
“Was it really her?”
“It was,” Caitlyn grinned. “After all this time. It’s really her.”
“She sure looks different,” Steb commented.
“She does. I think the years have been good to her,” Caitlyn said softly.
“Is she going to come back with us?”
“I don’t know, she said she’d think about it. But I really hope she does.”
Caitlyn sighed as she picked up her suitcase off the ground. She and Steb had waited in the hotel lobby for as long as they could, but the airship was at the dock now. They had to go.
“Dammit,” Caitlyn lamented. “I really thought she would come.”
“Sorry, Captain.” Steb put a comforting hand on her shoulder. “But hey, at least you know she’s alive now. And once you tell Vi, you two will be back here before she can say ‘boom’.”
“That’s true,” Caitlyn said with a small smile. “She made the fatal mistake of showing me where she lives. She’ll see Vi again whether she wants to or not. But I know she does.”
“Who knows what’s going on inside her head?” Steb shrugged. “But right now we need to worry about you seeing Vi again. C’mon, Captain, the airship’s gonna leave without us.”
“Alright.” They left the hotel and headed toward the dock, the city seeming less beautiful to Caitlyn than when she’d arrived. She was once again consumed by her thoughts, this time a question. How the hell was she going to tell Vi?
“Hey! Caitlyn!” She heard a familiar voice call. “Wait up!”
“Jinx?” She turned to see Jinx running toward her, carrying a large backpack and waving eagerly. “Jinx! You’re here! Oh, I’m so glad you’re here!”
“Yeah, me too. I’m glad I caught you in time to return these,” she said, pulling Caitlyn’s pictures out of her jacket pocket. “I told you I’d give them back.”
“Oh.” Caitlyn took the pictures and hung her head in disappointment. “Thanks.”
“Of course. And thank you for letting me hold on to them. Having them for a little bit… it was nice.”
“You really won’t come back with me?” Caitlyn pleaded.
“I would if I could. But I would have to reschedule my meetings with my clients and cancel my plans, so…”
“I understand. But we’ll be back here soon. You know Vi-”
“That won’t be necessary.”
“What?”
“I’m just messin’ with you, Piltie! Of course, I’m coming with you!” Jinx cheered. “I’ve been working my ass off to get all my appointments out of the way. I’m all yours!”
“Alright, you got me,” Caitlyn laughed, relieved.
“Well you were so desperate for me to come along, I couldn’t not have a little fun.”
“Oh, I’m so happy! Vi will be thrilled!”
“I can’t wait to see her,” Jinx beamed. “And to meet Jaydin and Cleo! I mean, who am I to deny them the chance to meet me?”
“Good to see your sense of humor is still intact,” Caitlyn smirked. “Come on, let’s go.”
“Yes, let’s,” she agreed, falling into step beside Caitlyn. She waved at Steb and he nodded back at her. “And I do mean it, by the way. I’m so excited to meet your kids.”
“I’m excited for you to meet them, too,” Caitlyn smiled.
Jinx was silent as they made their way onto the airship, just giving shy smiles to everyone who looked at her and following close behind Caitlyn. Some of the other officers began whispering when they saw her, but Caitlyn shut them up with a glare.
“This is my cabin. You can stay here during the flight,” she said as she welcomed Jinx in. “It’s about a four-hour trip, but I’ll be going over things with my team for most of it. But we have attendants that can give you anything you need, and you can always come get me if you need to.”
“Thanks. Wow, this place is nice,” Jinx said as she gazed around the cabin. “I’ve never been on an airship this big.”
“Well, welcome aboard,” Caitlyn smiled. “Is there anything I can do for you before I get back to work?”
“There is one thing,” she said somberly, sitting down on the cot. “I want to apologize.”
“Oh,” Caitlyn said, taken aback. “I appreciate that, but you don’t need to-”
“Yes, I do,” Jinx insisted, staring up at Caitlyn. “Please.”
“Alright.” Caitlyn sat next to her and she took a deep breath.
“I’m sorry for kidnapping you. And I’m sorry for killing your mom. I wasn’t thinking about the pain I was causing you and your family, or any of the people that I hurt. But that’s no excuse. I was selfish and cruel, and I deserved all the hate you felt towards me. I know there’s nothing I can say or do to make up for it. I can’t bring her back. But if I could, I would do it in a heartbeat! There hasn’t been a day that’s gone by that I haven’t regretted it all. And I’ve worked hard to make sure that I’m not that person anymore. I try to be better every day, I want you to know that. And I want to do whatever I can to make amends. I’m truly sorry, Caitlyn.”
“Thank you,” Caitlyn said softly. “That really means a lot.”
“I know that I don’t deserve forgiveness. Your kindness so far has been more than I would’ve hoped for. But I’m so grateful that we can be civil.”
“I’m hoping we can be more than civil,” Caitlyn smiled. “One of the many lessons I’ve learned from Vi is that the greatest thing we can do in life is find the power to forgive. I forgave you years ago, Jinx. Now all I want to do is get to know my sister-in-law.”
Jinx looked up at Caitlyn with tears in her eyes. “You… you really mean that?”
“I do.” Caitlyn held out her arms and Jinx collapsed into her, crying openly. Caitlyn rubbed her back.
“Sorry,” Jinx said sheepishly after a moment, pulling away and wiping her eyes.
“It’s alright.”
“Y’know, I think another reason I was scared to go back is because I was afraid of facing you.”
“It’s all in the past now. I’m glad we have the chance for a fresh start.”
“Yeah, me too,” Jinx grinned.
“I really do have to get to work though.”
“Oh yes, of course, go!” Jinx waved her hand toward the door insistently. “Didn’t mean to keep you. I guess I’ll see you when we get to Piltover?”
“See you then,” Caitlyn smiled.
Jinx was quiet when they left the airship, once again content to not say anything to any of the other officers. Not that any of them were talking to her. Many of them seemed afraid of her. Or at the very least afraid of Caitlyn, who was still silently daring any of them to say something about Jinx. But once the two of them were outside and on their own, Jinx’s talkative nature returned.
“I never thought I’d say this about Piltover, but it feels good to be back,” she smirked, gazing around. “Still as shiny as ever.”
“Most of the changes we’ve made are in Zaun,” Caitlyn told her. “You’ll get to see a few of them on the way there.”
“Wait, you live in Zaun?”
“Yeah. I mean Piltover and Zaun operate as one city now, but we live on the Zaun side. And don’t worry, Vi, Ekko, and Sevika have worked to make sure that all the Zaunite charms remain.”
“That’s great,” Jinx smiled. “And how has Vi been?”
“She’s been really good,” Caitlyn beamed. “She absolutely adores being a mom. I don’t think she’s ever been happier.”
“Yeah, that doesn’t surprise me. She’s made for it.”
“She really is. She goes above and beyond in every way imaginable, for them and for me. And I swear sometimes when she plays with Jaydin, she has more fun than he does,” Caitlyn laughed.
“She’s got a second chance at a childhood,” Jinx smiled sadly. “Just like Isha gave me. I’m so happy for her.”
“That’s exactly what it is,” Caitlyn nodded. “And she’s making the best of it. She’s learned from all the mistakes of the past, hers and others. I think she would make all of your parents proud.”
“I’m sure she would. And what are the kids like?”
“Oh, I could go on about them for hours,” Caitlyn grinned. “But you’ll see for yourself soon enough. Cleo hasn’t said her first word yet, but she loves to talk. And she tries to grab everything she sees. She loves to copy what we’re doing, and if you make a game out of it she’ll never get bored. But don’t ever try to take a toy from her. She can scream louder than anything I’ve ever heard. And I’ve lost count of how many explosions I’ve lived through.”
“Copy that,” Jinx chuckled. “From the stories Vander told, Vi did the same thing.”
“Cleo does seem to take after her. Jaydin is a lot quieter. He’s shy around new people, but he loves to explore new places. And he’s so creative! He comes up with these elaborate backstories for all of his games, it’s incredible. And he loves to draw. Most of the artwork we have hung up is his, and we have to switch it out every couple of weeks because he’s made so many new ones. Vi says he reminds her of you in that way.”
“Yeah, that love of drawing never goes away.”
“He’s going to love drawing with you.”
“I can’t wait! They sound so amazing,” she grinned.
“They are.”
“So is Vi like a stay-at-home mom, or what? Is she still an Enforcer with you? Or a pitfighter?”
“She’s not a pitfighter anymore,” Caitlyn chuckled. “And there are no more Enforcers, actually. We worked together to dismantle the entire department and build something new. Something better. She and I are co-captains of the Preservers now. We protect all the people of Piltover and Zaun. It took a while, but most people on both sides of the bridge support our organization. Vi and I pretty much just alternate who works and who stays home with the kids.”
“Wow, that’s impressive. Definitely something Vi would come up with.”
“She always hoped you’d be proud of it.”
“Can’t wait to tell her I am.”
Their conversation faded as they crossed the bridge and Jinx’s focus turned to admiring the rebuilt city. Caitlyn stole glances at her as they walked, and pride swelled in her heart at every awed expression. But they didn’t have too far to go, and before they knew it they had arrived at the house.
“This is it,” Caitlyn said, watching Jinx carefully. “I think it’s probably best if you wait out here for a bit, so I can say hi to the kids and do what I can to prepare Vi. Is that alright?”
“Yeah, yeah that sounds good,” Jinx said without looking at her.
“It’s going to be okay. She’s your sister, after all.”
“I know, I know. I’m just… nervous.”
“You can do this, Jinx,” Caitlyn reassured her.
“Thanks,” she smiled. And with a nod, Jinx held her breath as Caitlyn slid the key into the lock.

[002-A08] Everything is an Accumulation of Coincidences
Summary — ✈︎ Kaede arrives at Shodoshima. Once he arrives at the inn with the others, they start to do whatever they want.
Characters— ✈︎ Akuta, Kiroku, Muneuji, Ushio, Nanaki
Shodoshima is an island in Setouchi made up of many different peninsulas and inlets. It’s known for its rich nature, temperate climate, and lack of rainfall. This makes the island a popular tourist destinationーー
The area known as the “Soy Shop Village” is famous for its traditional industries, such as soy sauce factories and the moromi brewery.
The island is also one of the locations where the Setouchi International Art Festival[1] is held every 3 years. … It’s an island that has a strong connection to the arts.
There are also many interesting historical anecdotes.
It has been said that the two gods Izanagi and Izanami created this island, andーー
There are rumors that hidden Christians[2] have been in hiding here for a long time.
Location: Ferry
All 4: Wooooooow… Coooool!
Akuta: Hey, isn’t this seriously crazy? It was like this on the airplane earlier too but, this is my first time riding a ferry! It’s big and wide and it moves around and around! It’s so cool!
Kiroku: …… Cool… It feels like… we’ve moved… really far…
Nanaki: No matter where you look, we’re surrounded by the sea.
Ah, look. There’s seagulls flying next to each other. Like a lot of them.
Muneuji: It’s around noon-time. I think they might be looking for food right now.
Kaede: (Everyone’s eyes are sparkling. Completely different from the atmosphere this morning… I’m glad everyone is having fun.)
[Shuttering noises]
Ushio: Ughh, the sea breeze is making my hair all sticky. This is the worst.
[Shuttering noises]
Ushio: The ferry is just spacious so there’s nothing to do, and seagulls aren’t interesting to see. They’re a common bird…
Kaede: (That’s what you’re saying but, you’re the one taking the most pictures… Definitely not being honest.)
Ah, it’s about time for us to arrive!
Location: Otomari Chuuzaemon Inn in Shodoshima [1]
Kaede: … Ummm, so, from today for the whole week, you’ll all be staying in this rentable inn that we reservedーー
Akuta: R-Reserved!? We can do whatever we want without worrying about anyone else!?
WOOOOOOOOOW! NO WAYYYYYYYYYY! THIS IS SUPER EXCITINGGGGGGGG!
Kaede: Wai… Akuta-kun has a nosebleed! You got too excited! Don’t move, Akuta-kun! I’m sure there are tissues somewhere…
Akuta: Hey hey, let’s explore the inn guys! I wonder if there’s a locked room or not!? Let’s open the door~~~!
Nanaki: Personally, I’d like to have a room on the second floor. No one’s allowed to come in. Then, I’ll be leaving first.
Kaede: Come on guys! Akuta-kun, please quiet down! Nanaki-kun, don’t go to find a room on your own!
Ushio: I’d like the bathroom on the first floor all to myself. I’d appreciate it if you didn’t force me to share with other guys. I mean, this isn’t a school, is it?
Kiroku: ………
Kaede: Ushio-kun, stop saying selfish things! And Kiroku-kun, don’t fall asleep yet!
Muneuji: It’s like raising kids as a single parent.
Kaede: It REALLY is! It doesn’t feel like it’s going to settle down at all!
Ushio: Students don’t like inflexible teachers, okay? I think I’ll go find a fitting room now. Bye.
Kaede: Ah~! I just said don’t act selfisーー
Muneuji: Ushio.
Ushio: Eh?
Muneuji: Hup.
Ushio: ……Eh?
Akuta: Muneuji just took Ushio’s hand andーー
Nanaki: Flipped him over…
Kiroku: ………
Kaede: (Amazing. Was that Aikido just now? After one move, the entire room became silent…!)
Muneuji: … Everyone, remember the reason that we came here.
There must have been requirements that led us to be exempt from being expelled from school.
I understand that everyone is excited at the idea of going on a trip, but if we don’t act together, then everyone in the group will suffer.
Ushio: …Even then…!
Why me!?
Nanamegi tried to leave the room too!
Muneuji: Forgive me. I felt better about flipping you over since we’re childhood friends.
Kaede: (For a reason like that…)
Muneuji: Chief.
Everyone is shocked and speechless right now, so it might be the best time.
Kaede: T-Thank you, Muneuji-kun!
First, let me wipe Akuta-kun’s face…
Akuta: Mugh…
Kaede: Okay…!
Now then, let’s start with choosing the rooms since everyone’s the most interested in that.
Muneuji: If we’re doing that, why don’t we use this?
Kaede: This is… paper sumo? [3]
Muneuji: This way, we can decide things fair and square.
… And the winner can get a suitable award.
Akuta: Nice! That sounds interesting!
This way, there’ll be no complaints no matter who wins〜!
Kaede: And the winner is Akuta-kun〜!
He managed to make his opponent fall off the side! I’m impressed by the technical moves you used!
Akuta: Thanks! I get a room all to myself〜!
Kaede: The runner up was Nanaki-kun, so would it be fine if you room together with Kiroku-kun who got third place?
Nanaki: I don’t really care who it is. If you’re not the winner, you’ll just end up rooming with another person anyways.
I’m comfortable with Kinugawa-kun, so I don’t have any complaints.
Kiroku: ………
Muneuji: Then, since I didn’t participate, I’ll room with Ushio who was in last place.
Ushio: I’m jealous that you all can have fun fooling around and playing paper sumo.
Muneuji: We used to play paper sumo all the time when we were kids.
Ushio: That was when I was a really small kid, okay!?
Kaede: Anyways, the rooms are decided, so you guys should carry your luggage to your rooms for now. We can rest a bit before we meet here again.
(Now that I think about it… Even though I asked a coordinator to show us around the island, they're running late… They were supposed to meet us at the inn.)
(Maybe I should try contacting them again to rearrange a time, or maybe I need to pick them upーー)
Ushio: Ho, HOGYAAAAAAAAAAAAH!
Kaede: What a strange scream…!
I mean, what’s wrong!? Ushio-kun!
Akuta: What's wrong!?
Did the first murder finally happen!?
Nanaki: I heard a weird scream so I came out but…
Kiroku: ………?
Muneuji: Did you see any bugs?
Ushio: Awawawawa…! T-The-There, Look…!
Kaede: What do you mean “there”ーー Eh!?
Kaede: T-The first murder victimーー!

I’m sure some people know this, but like all the places mentioned on trips are real places and events that go on! The Setouchi International Art Festival is a real festival ! You can see a bit about it here. And the inn that they stay at, the Otomari Chuuzaemon, is a real inn too! I looked it up and the images are CRAZYY identical to the art in game. Idk I think it's super cool HAHAH if you’re interested, these listings have similar angles to the pics in the game ! This one has the outside, and this one has the main room
Hidden Christians, or kakure kirishitan, is a term used to describe members of the church in Japan who were forced to conceal their faith due to the repression of Christianity. There are still some people who identify as a kakure kirishitan to this day! If you want to learn more, you can here!
Here's a gif on what paper sumo looks like!

hi, totally agree with you about the december getting together thing and just wanted to add on to a few points. One about online perceptions and stuff is they mightve both wanted to have this appearance of a cool, sexy, mysterious, emo guy on the internet who is "mature" and has casual sex all the time nbd lol and not wanting to seem clingy. Its kind of embarrasing to want more sometimes (its cheesy, its meant to be). For Dan I also dont think he would want Phil to see him as an obsessed fan (also the age thing) so putting up a nonchalant front would help put them on more even footing. For Phil its just like you already said mainly and not wanting to scare Dan off, following Dan's lead. Also Dan just getting out of a longterm relationship and being 18 he might not have been inclined to tie himself down quick when he was single for the first time in a bit, especially to someone who lives far away, but then obv realized this thing with Phil wasnt just going to be some casual fling. Also lol this "reveal" was not weird/ suprising to me bcos of my own experience of being with this girl for like 3 ish months had been friends previously we were having sex and saying we loved eachother etc but whole time being like we're not dating though lol
oh 100% agree, especially when you're at that age it's sooo embarrassing to admit you do want to find someone who cares about you and enriches your life and shares a future with you... it's so much easier to flirt with strangers online and pretend you're too cool to feel any particular way about it. like you said, i think it comes down to both of them realizing that this was not going to be some casual fling. and 2 months is honestly no time at all considering how much they had to think about & plan for!!
also yeah i agree it wasn't surprising to me it was more just like. first of all like holy shit why are you sharing this information with me unprompted are you sure you meant to say that?? second of all, i guess i didn't KNOW until i KNEW. it's one thing to look at the things they posted around that time period and make guesses, but hearing it out loud made me feel sooooo dumbfounded. idk why but that one hit me way harder than the tour bus thing...
anyway let me share a personal anecdote here because it's only fair after i've invaded their privacy i should embarrass myself a little fksjfks many years ago i started talking to a tumblr mutual and we got super close as friends, we spent literally hours talking every night and we'd even fall asleep on skype just to be with each other. i told her things i have still never told anyone else in my life. and ofc there was heavyy flirting which was fun except i have horrible commitment issues.. doing all this online didn't feel as scary and real to me. but then we made plans to actually travel and meet up, and i started getting. idk. itchy 😭 but i did go across the country to meet her and it was such a perfect weekend, she was so funny and beautiful and even more magnetic in person. it clarified my feelings about her in a way that chatting online never could, but also it scared the shit out of me and so when that weekend was over i went back home and i told her i couldn't do it anymore and that was it. we tried to be friends after that but it just wasn't the same and neither of us had our hearts in it. i still think about her and hope she's doing well but we haven't talked in years
so basically i'm living in the dark dan and phil timeline where they filmed pinof and then said okay bye dude 👍🏻 fuck my stupid baka life

how self dx can be extremely helpful - stream of consciousness / ramble
can i just say how fucking infuriating it is when a kid gets to the ER and describes symptoms that are clearly those of migraines with aura and the doctors/nurses just say "damn dunno what that is but it's over now so bye!"
like, migraines aren't a super rare thing. why tf don't they realise that maybe that's what's going on? my sister was undiagnosed her whole childhood and would just live with her migraine attacks not knowing why she'd lose her balance and vision. it was our dad who finally connected the dots and then my sister doing her own research into it before the doctors actually diagnosed her
i think informed self diagnosis is extremely valuable. of course get the opinion of professionals if/when you can. but fuck, doctors can miss so many obvious clues, especially when they only see you for maybe 10 minutes and you barely have a language for what you're experiencing
it is of course not for everyone to research your unexplained symptoms - maybe you deal with health anxiety and researching will just hurt you more than it will help you. but if you are able to, i really think doing your own research before going to a doctor is very valuable. you can save time this way, since a doctor visit is so short
also i recommend seeking information from both medical websites and from people who deal with these symptoms themselves. hearing it from people who actually live with the symptoms can be so valuable. maybe someone will even be open to questions!
last personal anecdote is a friend of mine, who started having weird experiences they didn't have before. they looked it up on the internet and found that it very much seemed like they were developing schizophrenia. they called their doctor, told them their concerns, got evaluated with a quick set of questions and the doctors agreed with my friend's suspicion. my friend made an informed self diagnosis and it helped them get treatment much quicker
okay this is the very last one, but my sisters have also self diagnosed and been confirmed by doctors afterwards. it makes the diagnostic process that much quicker. you know yourself way better than the doctor who only sees you when you are in their office for maybe 10 minutes at a time
do your own research. get a second evaluation if you don't feel like the first doctor got it right. be open to being wrong about the disorder you suspected, but also know that a doctor can get it wrong as well, so make sure to be as informed as you can and have a good, open dialogue with your doctor. work together towards an answer and treatment
ok i'm out, be kind to yourselves and stay safe <3
#this is a stream of consciousness but wanted to post#and im too scattered brained to make it more comprehensible#self dx#selfdx#self diagnosis#selfdiagnosis#pro self dx#pro self diagnosis#proselfdx#proselfdiagnosis#actuallydisabled#actually disabled#actuallynd#actually nd#actuallymentallyill#actually mentally ill#actuallyneurodivergent#actually neurodivergent#my posts#personal

Joe Hills: As people die off, this is gonna be more and more necessary.
Cleo: (laughs) Oh, oh! Speaking of that: look!
(Cleo puts on Scar head)
Joe: Oh my god!
(cut)
Joe: One of the things that I haven't done any of is farming or building a perimeter.

(TFC: Creepy laugh off camera)
Ren: Okay.
Scar: That was the creepiest laugh I've ever heard in my life!
TFC: I'll have you know I practice that laugh! (laughs creepily again)

Goodness, I only left this a few days but those numbers have increased so much-
I now have 838followers,,, crazy, right? I couldn’t move past 600 for nearly two months and now I’m only 162 off my goal for this account…
It’s strange, there are times where I’m asking if it’s deserved, and honestly it’s a little overwhelming with the amount of new people here, but it’s been nice to finally have something I’m proud of be seen and talked about, it’s,,, it’s nice to have my abilities validated :,) I know that shouldn’t be important but I can’t help it, I like hearing nice things about my work
Mhm, I was in a car crash. I only came out with a cut on my forehead but I’m extremely hesitant getting into a car after;;; even now I’m clinging onto the seatbelt until my knuckles are white. But don’t worry fragola, I’m alright 💞
Hehehehehehe~ ahhh albedo my beloved, I love hearing how I’m shipped with him. Ahem… self indulgent little drabble, skip over this if you want;;; -
hand in hand on top a snowy mountain, a smile on our faces. we’re cold, our breaths mingling together through the cool mist exiting our lips, but the warmth in our chests is enough for us to not feel the unforgiving chill. enough for each other, for that is all we need. even the harshness of the hostile environment, all around us looks like a dreamscape - the winter wonderland you only hear about in fairy tales. yes, hand in hand, I’ve found the flame that keeps my heart alight, burning brightly. undying, like our unconventional love.
i love my boy so very much 💞
oh my god I put all my emotions for scara into that, I just really want to reach through the screen and reassure him that even though life has been cruel, there are some things that aren’t so bad. They might not last for long, but another good thing replaces it. (… maybe I’m not just talking about scara anymore)
Anyway-
Hehehe thank you dearest /)/////(\ scara was the highlight of that piece, but I liked all of them, tighnari’s was absolutely a self indulgent vent though college is killing me OTL
Hehe when I first read that I just thought of Tartaglia the tartaruga, and now an imagine of a lil turtle with water blades and a scarf lives in my head rent free - I hope you find this just as amusing, or maybe my humours just broken.
ti voglio bene, it’s nice to hear you’re doing well, don’t be a stranger and drop by my inbox whenever you’d like, I love hearing from my dear fragola <3
#bun speaks#🍓 anon#so sorry this is late I just have no energy for most things anymore#ily though#albedo my beloved#sorry for being so self indulgent in this;;;; but it came to me and I couldn’t stop OTL

‘Get Comfy’ - Bench Trio Fluff
TommyInnit needs his best friend for comfort. Tubbo has a meeting. Ranboo comes to the rescue. (Set post-Tommy’s resurrection, pre-failed Dream assassination.)
“I’m trapped!” He cried out jokingly to Ranboo as he passed them to get to the ladder, and his husband laughed and continued on his way in response.
Of all the places in the world to be stuck, this was hardly even bad.
Tommy had appeared in the early hours of the morning on Tubbo’s doorstep in Snowchester, fingers blue and whole body shaking. Not only was he physically cold and vulnerable, but Tubbo could see the way his eyes darted about and the protective stance he held when he answered the door. He uttered: “Tommy? Are you alright?”, and that’s all it took for Tommy to collapse in on himself muttering and crying, and in turn that’s all it took for Tubbo’s best friend instinct to kick in. He brought Tommy inside, pressed him to change out of his wet clothes, made them both a hot chocolate, and then sat them on a window seat, where Tommy helpfully laid out the entire situation - bad nightmare last night, and he’d taken some damage on the way over - while they sat shoulder to shoulder, sipping on their drinks and watching a light snow fall fresh over the town.
When Tommy finished his distressed retelling, Tubbo picked up the conversation, telling Tommy about inconsequential nothings like the stroganoff dinner they’d had the night before that went slightly awry, and Tommy added his own anecdotes about hairy cooking and whatever else along the way, getting calmer and more like himself the longer they sat. Eventually, Tubbo realised Tommy wasn’t chiming in anymore, and that’s because he had passed out on him, head lolled against his shoulder and nearly-empty mug slowly slipping from his hand. Tubbo took it and set it down softly, and then he put his head back and closed his eyes too, some part of him wishing he hadn’t slept so well last night.
He opened his eyes again as Ranboo reappeared from upstairs. "Is he asleep?" Tubbo asked him, to which Ranboo smirked. "I don't know, is he?" Tubbo pulled a face in response. "Yeah, he is." "So's Michael."
Tubbo looked back at the boy asleep on his shoulder and slipped an arm around him, shifting his weight to be leaning more on him. The rise and fall of his chest - like the waves in the fjord - reassured him that Tommy was back, not locked away somewhere Tubbo couldn't follow nor save him from. He'd had enough scares regarding that for one lifetime to make it anything but calming to watch his best friend's breathing as he slept, laying a hand beneath his collarbone and feeling the ‘thump, thump, thump’ of his heart. Stubbornly beating, still.
He could feel Ranboo’s presence over his shoulder before he spoke, “I didn’t think he could be this quiet.” “Pssh, don’t wake him.” They snickered together, Ranboo resting a hand on Tubbo’s free shoulder.
“Are you planning on staying there ‘till he wakes up?” Tubbo nodded slowly, and when Ranboo didn’t answer he turned his head to look at his husband, whose expression seemed an accurate depiction of a man who wished not to deliver some bad news. “What is it?” “You have that… town meeting at two. Which is in ten minutes.” “Shit.”
He’d completely forgotten about the Snowchester residents meeting he and Jack had called, somehow. They were searching for a missing nuke, and a relatively inconspicuous town meeting about security seemed the best way to open the discussion. Only, none of that would matter if he wasn’t there. Tommy seemed to grow heavier at his side, and regret curled around his heart. The chances of him being able to move Tommy alone without waking him were as slim as the chances of both of them making it to twenty. Not impossible, but not something to be trifled with. Unless…
“You okay?” He felt Ranboo squeeze his other shoulder, mild concern furrowing his brow. “Yeah, I just-” He indicated Tommy with a head tilt. “I’d rather not wake him.” He lifted his gaze, making eye contact with the taller boy and laying his free hand on his side. “I don’t suppose you could help?”
He watched as Ranboo’s brain caught up with the question, picking up Tubbo’s hand from his waist and swinging it back and forth a little absentmindedly. “Yeah, what is it?” Tubbo shuffled his legs a bit, hoping they hadn’t fallen asleep so he could get up. “Can you take him - actually, take my spot - without waking him?” By then, he’d positioned himself so his hands were under Tommy, holding up most of his body weight with one hand and an achy shoulder. Ranboo sprang into action instinctively (having a child will do that to you, he supposed), half-kneeling on the window seat behind Tubbo. “Yeah, yeah I can.” They conducted the change-over quietly, as Ranboo squeezed into the gap Tubbo left as the smaller boy propped up his friend against Ranboo’s side. There was a hold-your-breath moment as Tommy settled against Ranboo’s arm (and not his shoulder, because of the height difference), shook his head slightly in his sleep, and kept right on snoozing. Ranboo maneuvered his arm around Tommy, and then they breathed that long, sweet sigh of relief.
“Thank Prime.” “Thank Prime? Thank me, that was my expertise at work, excuse me.” Tubbo kissed him on the forehead lightly. “Thank you.” Then he scurried off to get his coat from across the room, and Ranboo realised his own predicament.
“Excuse me, Mr President-” “Militarist Commune!” “-Whatever. I appear to have been trapped.” Tubbo’s laugh was akin to a dog’s bark, and he quickly hopped across the room while pulling a boot on to the kitchen table, and then back to Ranboo and Tommy on the window seat. He put Ranboo’s phone, earphones and an apple into Ranboo’s hand, and then hop-stepped away again to find his other boot.
“What’s this?” “What do you mean ‘what’s this’?” Ranboo’s expression was pure bemusement as he looked over his stuff. “You didn’t have any plans for the next couple hours, did you?” After a beat, Ranboo replied with a simple “Nope.” Tubbo grinned mischievously. “Good. Get comfy.”
Ranboo looked down at the blonde boy currently curled up against his side, his breath wheezing slightly with every breath he took. “I- I don’t think he’ll react too kindly to- to waking up next to me.” Tubbo shrugged, his hand on the doorknob. “You have three canon lives.” His face split into a joyous smirk as Ranboo’s jaw dropped to the floor. “...Okay then.”
It took Tubbo a full ten seconds to recover his composure enough to speak again. “I’m joking. Mostly.” He pulled a perturbed expression for a second. “Don’t worry about it. He’ll probably make you swear to pretend it never happened. Or-” His eyes flicked down to the sleeping boy one more time, and he wrapped his arms around himself, like he was recalling the warmth. “Maybe he’ll surprise you. Bye!” And just like that he was gone. Ranboo watched him step lightly down the path, and relaxed. Prevent husband being late to his own security meeting: check.
Tommy shifted slightly at his side again, and he looked down at him as he attempted to untangle his earphones with one hand. In sleep, there was none of the shouting, or the weird guttural growling noise he made sometimes, or the insults Ranboo hoped were just friendly teasing. All of the tension had left him, and the lines around his brow from where he spent most of his time squinting or glowering were smoothed out. He looked so peaceful, so unlike Ranboo had ever seen him before. Tubbo’s presence had made him feel safe enough to calm down, to lower the shield and bring down the walls, and fall asleep with a mug of hot chocolate in hand. Their bond was incredible, really, to have survived wars and multiple canon deaths and a fight that was bigger than either of them, watched by the whole world. And Tommy trusted Tubbo to protect him, enough to pass out on him in the middle of the day.
The enderman-hybrid knew he could not compete with either side of their shared attachment, nor did he want to. But, he thought as he brushed a bit of lint away from one of Tommy’s eyes, if he could be even a little bit like that for Tubbo, he might find the family he’d craved as far back as he could remember. It wasn’t a memory, it was more like a feeling. Something that ran deeper than his conscious thoughts. A sixth sense, a raw instinct. To keep his family safe, however he must.
And if he could convince the strong-willed second-in-command as well? The more the merrier.

Nightmares - AOT hcs.
To make this short, i often have nightmares but lastnight was really bad so i felt like writing some comfort. If you had a nghtmare too remember it was not real and that i’ll kick whatever you dreamed of right in the ass. Also, i’m SO lazy i’m starting to get exasperated of looking for pics so i might make some banners :b
Warnings: None. Fluff <3. Some cussing (It’s levi what were you expecting)
We start off with this pure soul. He is the kind to stay up late at night either lost in his thoughts or studying, it’s rare he doesn’t notice when you’re having a nightmare though it’d depend how drastic are your reactions while you’re still asleep how soon he does.
If you are the kind who seems like they’re just chilling until they wake up gasping and looking around he’d drop on his lecture and go lay by your side, WITh a glass of water, very important. He always brings one.
Talk to him about your sleep paralysis (if you’ve ever had one) now that you can move and there’s nothing creepy around he’d cuddle you. Suffer form Nyctophobia? (fear of the darkness), the lights are on for as long as you need it, he’d buy you a night light or put a candle next to you.
Cryig in your sleep? The moment he realizes that strange noise are actually your sobs he goes check on you and tries to calm you down first, he doesn’t want to wake you up. If you are heavy sleeper he’d turn the lights (or a candle bc in the walls they don’t have electricity-) on and gently shake you by the shoulder.
Now, if you are a noisy sleeper, the kind who ScReAmS you would give him a heart attack, see it from his perspective: you’re alone with your significant other apparently sleeping, you’re minding your bussiness and you suddenly hear them screaming.
He goes straight to waking you up, lights on and a little more rough shake on your shoulder “Hey it’s not real! It’s a dream i’m here!” He’d hold you close you the first thing you see is him.
If you wanted to he’d read for you, no it doesn’t make you a crybaby, he finds it sweet you like it. If the book has illustrations he’d keep his fingers out of the way so you can see, his voice would be incredibly soothing. I feel like he’d read Moby dick.
When cuddling he’d be the big spoon, yes you heard (actually read) right, i feel like he’d be the small spoon but in this case you need comfort and protection. He’d wrap his arms and legs around you, some kisses on your neck and the back of your head.
This dude- i currently just like his old self of s1-2. Taking in mind the recent events on the manga.
He stays up late at night as well but exclusively lost in his thoughts, he’d always notice when you’re having a bad dream since he stays there with you either until it’s dawn and he has to get ready for his daily rutine or he falls back asleep.
If you’ve ever had a sleep paralysis and you are able to feel or hear things from the real world, his warmth and the sound of his breathing would be there, holding you is relaxing and beneficial for both.
His eyes fix on you after he feels a wet spot forming on his shirt, are those those tears?- He doesn’t give a second thought to waking you up “Wake up! It’s not happening, it’s okay!!” Make emphasis into the it’s not happening, i’m sure he’s had nightmares about his mother.
I feel bad for him if you scream in your sleep, bye bye to his eardrums and double heart attack, he shakes you and talks loudly until you open your eyes, he wouldn’t say anything mean even when he’s raising his voice.
He doesn’t has any problem with staying all the night up to make you company if you can’t fall back asleep. Would push you a bit to not keep things to yourself, for your sake, he wants to comfort you.
He would have you lying over him. Both his hands resting on your back, one still and the other rubbing in a soothing way up and down, to keep your mind off the bad experience you just had he’d talk about what he used to do when he was a kid or times when Armin was mistaken for a girl. Poor Armin.
I don’t write for Levi cuz i feel like i suck at writing him, if this sucks i am very sorry u_u.
First, congratulations for gaining his trust to the point he is okay with sleeping with you, seize every damn second you can spend with him. Levi doesn’t show much emotion and he goes straight to the point, wich is results disturbing for some, specially when he’s insulting. This rule applies with affection as well, his way of loving is peculiar.
He doesn’t show a big reaction at all when he notices you’re crying, he does love you but his eyes know what hell looks like, he’d wipe your tears and either poke your face with his finger or shake you. “You’re dreaming, i’m right here, everything’s fine.”
His voice is relaxed but loud enough for you to understand clearly what he is saying, he’d hold your hand and caress it despite he’s not 100% certain you washed your hands after going to the bathroom. The sacrifices that must be done for humanity.
You screaming is the real deal, he wouldn’t have a heart attack, his soul would slip out of his body, screams just touch a nerve deep inside. If he was up doing his obsessive cleaning until he felt sleepy he would rush there even if he just mopped the floor, somehow managing not to slip.
Shakes you wih both hands, almost frenetically but careful of not breaking your neck-, this is of those rare cases when he shows another facial expression besides his usual neutral one; his eyes would widen.
He’d have your head on his chest and his chin resting on it, his arm over your shoulder and his free hand holding yours. He is not bothered in the slightest if your legs are longer than his or if your thigh alone is as big as his whole torso, expect some of his jokes about Erwin taking a shit and some anecdotes about his discovers during his cleaning.
“I was about to go into the basement and it turned out the two cadets i was looking for were there f-(censored). They were filthy.” “Literal or metaphorically?-” “...Both-”
Requests are open, i laughed writing this, hope you enjoyed it :) Thanks for reading! drink some water and get sleep or else godzi- i mean the colossal titan gonna eat u.
#aot headcanons#aot fluff#fluff headcanons#comfort headcanons#armin x reader#eren x reader#levi x reader#k i'm done#have an awesome day!

The Backstory
September 2006
In Nora Priestley’s fourteen years of life, she’s never lived this far away from the ocean before. It’s always been just right outside her window, a quick ten-minute trek from Thames Street until she reached the rolling dunes of Rejects Beach. Smelling the salt in her hair and feeling her skin grow sticky from the feeling of the ocean air was practically second-nature to her, but ever since she moved to the middle of nowhere Connecticut for boarding school, she’s never felt more disconnected from normality in her life.
Nora’s never really been a big fan of embracing change. She’d like to blame that on the fact that she’s never really had any monumental shifts to her tectonic plates so far in her short life, and she’s not quite sure if that’s a blessing or a curse.
It’s always been just her and her mom. A dynamic duo. A tag team of epic proportions.
Growing up in Newport, Rhode Island could be worse, Nora thinks. She was lucky enough to grow up in a small coastal town where everybody accepted her in one way or another. Even though she was much different than the other kids her age, considering she spent most of her time alone while her mother worked, she never felt unhappy. Life was simple. Life was easy.
Nora and her mother, Shannon, lived in a small apartment in a renovated old colonial townhouse at the bottom of Thames Street. It was a third-floor walk-up, and in the heat of the summer when the humidity made the wallpaper begin to curl at the edges of her tiny paisley-coated bedroom, Nora had to sleep with her creaky window open with nothing but a thin sheet to cover her sweat-soaked body, the soft sounds of the rolling waves crashing against the shore lulling her to sleep.
Shannon Priestley was the ultimate leading lady in Nora’s life. She referred to Nora as her perfect mistake, because having a baby the summer she turned eighteen with a boy she thought would be her forever was the very definition of that phrase. But she handled it like she did everything else in her life—with grace and dignity, and nothing but a big gleaming grin on her face that always made Nora and everyone else lucky enough to be around her sunbeam feel that everything would be okay.
With a one-year-old baby on her hip and a bright and shiny high school diploma under her belt, Shannon found a job listing to be a nanny for the Clemonte’s. Without a second’s deliberation, she packed up her things and moved to the tip of the state to Newport.
The Clemonte’s were one of the wealthiest families in Newport, hailing from an impressive lineage of old money with an expansive estate of fourteen acres overlooking Ochre Point and the Atlantic Ocean. They were one of those families that named their properties, and when Shannon Priestley first stepped foot inside The Breakers mansion, she knew right then and there that her new bosses had very high expectations for her.
Shannon became the singular nanny to Warren and Jane Clemonte’s baby son, William. He was born three months after Nora, and even though Shannon felt slighted that she had to spend most of her days with another family’s child while her own was being watched by their downstairs neighbor, she promised to split her time evenly. And even though twenty-four hours in a day was never enough for Shannon, she made sure to spend most of it with Nora.
And Nora was always grateful for that.
The second Nora was old enough to take care of herself, she started going to The Breakers after school so that her mom could walk her home. It was at that very moment when she had her first taste of ostentatious luxury, and from then on it never failed to amaze her. The other half certainly did live differently than Nora and her mother, and stepping foot inside the Clemonte’s mansion made that realization startlingly clear.
This was when she first met William Clemonte. Nora always knew he existed, considering her mother would sprinkle in small anecdotes about him while doing other mundane tasks. “Willy was very quiet today,” Shannon would tell Nora on their walk home from Ochre Point to Lower Thames. “Mr. and Mrs. Clemonte want Willy to take piano lessons and learn Latin. How on earth is a seven-year-old supposed to handle that?”
To Nora, Willy was somewhat of a fictional character living behind the towering walls of The Breakers. She imagined him being a smaller boy, blonde with blue eyes and wearing some sort of matching ensemble sitting inside the thick walls of his mansion, overlooking the deep cobalt ocean through a grand wall of windows. But when she meets him one afternoon after her first day of second grade, she could not be any more wrong.
Sure, Willy Clemonte was a small boy, but he was by no means shy or scared of her. He took her on a tour through the grand halls of The Breakers, showed her all of the secret passageways built inside the walls from when the mansion was first erected back in the early twentieth century, and shared his brand new toys with her.
But most importantly, he listened to her. He asked her a million questions about public school, about the world outside of his tall fortress, about the television shows Shannon let Nora watch after dinner, and the different kinds of popular music other kids their age were listening to.
“Wait, so *NSYNC isn’t just Justin Timberlake?” Willy would ask whenever Nora would show him what was inside her portable CD player (which was almost exclusively No Strings Attached until she reached the fourth grade).
“Oh my god, Willy! *NSYNC is a boyband! Justin is just the best one,” Nora would scold right back, shoving the plastic headphones over his blonde head of hair so that the felt cushions would press against his ear, the vibrating thumps of “Bye Bye Bye” playing through the electronic equipment.
Whenever he would ask her about school, Willy was always shocked to hear how different her experience was from his own. Nora would tell him about the yellow school buses that picked up and dropped off her friends, she would show up to his house afterward wearing jeans and a pink Gap sweatshirt and he was always surprised to learn that kids could wear whatever they wanted during the day, and when she would come over on Fridays and tell him that her mother gave her a dollar for pizza day at lunchtime, Willy wished more and more that he could go to public school with her, too.
While Willy was nothing but sunshine and kindness, Warren Clemonte was the complete opposite. A cold and distant man, stern and grumpy with a perpetual frown on his face, he sent a terrifying chill all the way down to Nora’s bones until they rattled together like a hollow instrument. And one Thursday afternoon when Shannon was busy packing Willy’s bags for the Clemonte’s annual Christmas trip to Aspen, Warren caught his son running around the main hall searching through every nook and cranny for Nora’s impressive hiding spot. It was only once she heard the bellowing yells when she emerged from behind an old armoire in the library, peeking her head around the corner to watch Warren yell at Willy in the echoing hallway.
“What do you think you’re doing, running around when you’ve left your Latin workbook unfinished?” Warren demanded, his low voice bouncing off the thick walls.
“I’m sorry, dad. I was just—”
“—Just what? Playing around and avoiding your responsibilities? How are you supposed to learn anything if you spend all of your time dilly-dallying with that girl, William?”
Willy began to cry then, and before Nora could interfere, her mother was already ten steps ahead of her, entering the main hall and apologizing profusely while her daughter stayed hidden behind the old armoire, watching everything with regretful eyes.
“I’m sorry, Mr. Clemonte. I was just packing for Willy, I didn’t realize he had run off. I’ll make sure it never happens again, sir,” Shannon said, placing a comforting arm around Willy’s shaking shoulders while his father stood barely five feet away, watching his wailing son with lifeless eyes.
“Please do, Miss Priestley. William does not need any more distractions.” His voice held a clipped finality to it, and when he walked away and Nora appeared from behind the wall to approach Willy who was clutching her mother for dear life, she never understood how his father could just leave his son to fall apart in front of him like that.
That was the last afternoon Nora ever spent at The Breakers.
Up until four months ago, Nora was almost certain that the entire Clemonte family had forgotten that she existed, and that treacherous afternoon with Willy nearly seven years ago was just a sad memory that could be tarnished for the rest of eternity. But when her mother comes home with a thick black and red folder, the words Townbridge Academy in capital letters splayed against the front page above a golden crest, Nora’s never been more confused in her life.
When she asked her mother what she was doing with a boarding school acceptance letter in her hand that Nora had never heard of before, the answer she received was definitely not what she had expected. Apparently, Mrs. Clemonte found out that Nora was planning on attending the public high school on Broadway Street, and apparently, she believed that she could offer Shannon a lending hand. Nora would like to blame it all on Jane Clemonte’s philanthropic tendencies, but a few phone calls and a faxed copy of Nora’s stellar transcripts later, Nora was appointed a lofty scholarship to attend Townbridge Academy in the fall.
All things considered, Nora did not want to go. She liked her middle school friends, she liked being her own person, she liked knowing that her mom was only a twenty-minute walk away, and most importantly, she liked not having to be associated with a family like the Clemonte’s. She didn’t want to be seen as a charity case, and accepting the scholarship on Mrs. Clemonte’s behalf to attend a prestigious boarding school like Townbridge Academy was exactly that.
But when her mother sat her down and told her how amazing this opportunity was, and how much Nora could accomplish with a diploma from one of the best schools in the country, Nora couldn’t bring herself to say no. Especially when her mother held her close and whispered in her ear, “God, Nora, you can do all of the things I never could have done,” Nora knew that there was no way she could break her mother’s heart.
Because now, standing in her new dorm room with deep oak walls, a creaky polished hardwood floor, a red ornamental rug that smelled a bit like Warren Clemonte’s cologne, and a small twin bed nestled in the corner underneath a window overlooking the bleak green hills of Connecticut—Nora Priestley wishes she had told her mother no.
Before she can even wallow in her own self-imposed misery, the front door opens revealing an older man carrying a trolley holding a matching six-piece set of luggage. Nora looks down to the singular old leather suitcase she purchased at a surplus store on Spruce Street resting on the floor, comparing it to the monogrammed navy blue set with the gold letters ARW spanning across each piece.
The man begins placing each suitcase onto the floor without uttering a word to a very confused Nora, and suddenly the door opens wider, a pretty girl with strawberry blonde hair floating into the room. She’s wearing a white tennis skirt that rests a few inches above her kneecap, with a powder blue collared shirt cuffed at the wrists. For a brief moment, Nora wonders if her mother purchased the wrong uniform set for her, but when the girl lifts her eyes from her Blackberry and looks over at Nora, she notices a sailor’s crest embroidered on the right side above her chest with more initials, and she begins to breathe a little.
“Hi! You must be my roommate, I’m Nor—”
“—Where are the rest of your bags?” the girl interrupts, eyeing the old leather suitcase disdainfully. Nora’s fingers immediately fly up to her scalp and begin raking through her blonde hair, a nervous habit she’s tried her hardest to get rid of.
“I have a duffle on the desk chair, too,” Nora explains quietly, removing her hand from her hair so that she can point towards the old wooden desk that holds her mother’s duffle bag.
Nora watches as the girl’s piercing gaze shifts from her two flimsy bags to her outfit. And when Nora watches beady hazel eyes take in her old white tank top, her mom’s grey knit cardigan, thrifted bootcut jeans, and sandals from two summers ago, Nora’s never wanted to disappear more in her life.
Before she can find the words to speak, Nora hears a shrill “Alyssa!” echo through the hallway, until a matching set of girls wearing nautical-inspired clothing and thick headbands are hugging the strawberry blonde-haired girl who just so obviously judged Nora a few moments ago.
“Who’s this?” one of the girls asks Alyssa, breaking away from their hug and looking over at Nora with interest.
Just as Nora reaches a hand out to introduce herself, Alyssa says, “Doesn’t matter. Let’s go, girls,” and the three girls spin around without even uttering a goodbye.
Nora watches as they walk down the hallway, giggling the entire way as if they hadn’t singlehandedly just ruined her first official day away from home.
***
October 2006
The first month at boarding school is just a series of Nora playing catch up. While she thought going to public school and hanging out with normal people would be enough to prepare her for high school, three weeks in she’s never felt more lost in her entire life.
She’s one of the only students who doesn’t own a cellphone, she wears second-hand Sperry’s instead of fancy loafers with gold links on the front, her backpack is a maroon Jansport while most students opted for leather messenger bags, and when people ask her how she spent her summer, she’s gotten used to the wide-eyed look they give her when she explains that she scooped ice cream near the beach for tips.
Nora’s not naive. She knows that she’s referred to as The Scholarship Girl behind her back, she knows that Alyssa complains to her elitist friends about how dreadful it is to be forced to room with a girl who wears hand-me-down clothing, and she knows that adjusting to life at Townbridge was going to be the very definition of arduous.
But she remembers what her mother told her—how Nora’s skin is thicker than she thinks, and no matter how different she is to everybody else, she’s still just as deserving of a top-notch education.
Even though Nora was at the top of her class for most of her life, she still felt far behind the rest of her classmates at Townbridge. She spends the first few weeks getting very acquainted with the walls of the library, making the nearly twenty-minute trek from her dorm in Emerson Hall to Millikan Library across campus. Classes have only just begun, but Nora can’t afford to fall any more behind than she already has. So instead of making friends and signing up for various clubs and sports teams, Nora’s allowed her backside to practically mold into the stiff wooden chairs inside the empty library.
Nora would have completely forgotten about the First Year Mixer being held that evening if not for Alyssa and her friends getting ready in her dorm room. When she walks in still wearing her uniform well after classes have ended for the day, the three girls look at her as if she were crazy.
“Did you forget about the mixer tonight, Nora?” Grace, one of the twins, asks with a shocked expression decorating her pretty face. All three girls are wearing colorful Lilly Pulitzer dresses, passing along mascara and eyeshadow amongst themselves in preparation for tonight.
“Uh, no I was just—”
“—Making friends with the books again?” Alyssa sneers, earning a giggle from the girls.
Nora chooses not to respond. It’s just easier that way.
Walking over to her wardrobe, Nora sorts through her limited selection of clothing to find something appropriate to wear for tonight. She didn’t even want to be in attendance, but she’s figured that she’s probably spent enough time on her own, and that maybe, in the off chance that Townbridge has some normal students, she can make a friend or two.
The only two dresses she brought with her were a simple long-sleeved cream sweater dress that fell just above her knees, and a thin summer dress her mother bought her two years ago that was tighter and fell around mid-thigh. She goes with the sweater dress, deeming it the best outfit she has to just simply blend in. Once it’s over her head, she reaches for her thigh-high socks and brown boots she got as a graduation gift, slipping them on quickly. October has left a brisk chill in the nighttime air, and considering her jackets consisted of a worn-in winter parka and an oversized flannel she scored at Goodwill, Nora thinks this combination will be more than fine.
She reaches for the comb on her desk and begins to rake it through her knotted hair, smoothing out the kinks and leaving the strands to fall in their messy, wavy natural state. Just as she’s digging through her backpack to try and find her lip balm and mascara, she can’t help but overhear Alyssa gossiping to Grace and Erin loudly from across the room.
“Harry’s plane landed a few hours ago,” Alyssa gushes, plucking the blush from Grace’s hands and beginning to apply it to the apples of her cheeks.
“Oh my God, no way! You must be so excited, Lyss!” Erin squeaks, reaching for the lipgloss that Alyssa just used. Before she can even remove the lid, Alyssa swats at her wrists and tells her to pick another color.
“Have you been texting all summer?” Grace asks from behind the vanity.
Alyssa nods, readjusting her freshly curled hair. “Ever since he left the Hamptons in July, yeah. We’ve been messaging back and forth. He told me he can’t wait to see me tonight.”
“That’s so romantic, Lyss!” Erin says, and Nora tries her hardest not to roll her eyes. “I can’t believe they let him miss the first three weeks of school.”
“He’s Harry Styles, Erin,” Grace chides, turning to face her sister with slanted eyes. “He can do whatever he wants.”
Nora twists the mascara wand back into the tube before backing away from her desk, double-checking her outfit to make sure that it was suitable enough. Just as she gives her hair one last fluff, she hears Alyssa ask, “Are you really not going to do anything with your hair?”
Nora turns towards her with a sheepish look, shrugging her shoulders. “I don’t own any styling tools so…” she lets the words fall from her mouth, watching the three girls in front of her look at her as if she had a second head growing out of her neck.
“You’ve never straightened your hair?! I’m sure Alyssa will let you borrow—”
“—Erin! Enough. Let’s go, we’re going to be late,” Alyssa scolds, ending the conversation abruptly. Before Nora can even shoot a smile in Erin’s direction, the three girls are already out the door, leaving Nora to walk to the Great Hall by herself.
The problem with spending all of her time walking from her dorm to the lecture halls on East Campus to Millikan Library is that she seemingly forgot where every other building was. Trying to locate the Great Hall in daylight was already difficult for Nora, but now with the sun practically set behind the horizon and her sense of direction completely shit, she starts panicking when she’s walked by the dining hall for the third time.
An upperclassman saves Nora before she can have a full-blown panic attack in the middle of the quad, and with two minutes to spare, Nora finds a row with a few empty seats towards the back of the room.
Nobody seems to have noticed her, save for the girls in the row in front of her who turn around when Nora’s boots jostle their chairs. She offers them a muffled apology, and just as quickly as they turned around to look at her, they swivel their necks to face the front again.
Nora sighs to herself, before lifting her head to hear the Headmaster begin his speech. After listening to him drawl about the mission statement and his expectations for the first-year students, Nora immediately wishes she never left her dorm room. She can feel her eyes begin to droop, and before her body can slump further down into her chair, the sound of a heavy oak door closing echoes throughout the Great Hall, and Nora feels her body springing upwards.
Headmaster Clayton pauses in his monotonous ramblings, and before the entire collection of students in front of Nora can turn around to see what the interruption was, a long body falls into the chair next to hers, and the Headmaster resumes his speech as if nothing ever happened.
“Did I miss anything?” an impossibly British voice whispers in Nora’s direction, and she’s a bit surprised by the low timbre of it. She looks over at him and finds herself staring into green pools with a golden shimmer surrounding his irises. Nora’s never been captivated by a boy before—but the one sitting next to her with fluffy chocolate curls falling over his forehead, surrounding his ears, and ending at the nape of his neck might possibly be the first. His hands are shoved inside the pockets of an expensive-looking black trench coat, and his upper body is leaning towards hers as he awaits her response. When Nora notices his pink lips forming into a small smirk, she’s almost positive that she’s been caught staring at this boy for far too long.
“Uh, no. Not really,” she whispers back, scrutinizing the way her voice squeaked at the beginning of her sentence.
His smirk shifts into a full-blown grin, and Nora can feel her cheeks begin to burn. “Hm, sounds like somebody wasn’t paying attention in the first place.”
Before Nora can retort, the boy near her chuckles softly at her nervous expression. “Can’t say I blame you, love. Clayton’s a fucking fossil.”
Nora giggles, causing the girls in front of her to turn around again with a murderous expression on their faces. She stops abruptly, and after they’ve snapped their heads forward for the second time, she looks over to the boy on her left and finds him trying his hardest to stifle another chuckle.
He shifts his body so he’s no longer leaning in Nora’s direction, and she’s a bit saddened by the sudden distance between them both.
Nora replays the interaction in her inexperienced, fourteen-year-old mind, wondering if the boy near her was just flirting with her. There’s no denying that she thinks he’s cute, considering she finds herself sneaking looks at him every few minutes during the duration of Headmaster Clayton’s speech just to get another glimpse of his soft hair and sunken dimples. And on more than one occasion, he catches her in his periphery, shooting her that charming smirk that never fails to make her cheeks blush.
The moment Headmaster Clayton wraps up his speech and the rest of the students begin to stand, Nora turns towards the boy and finds that he’s already looking at her. Now that they’ve exited their row, Nora notices how tall he is, taking in his long legs clad in black denim, his even longer torso in a similar black shirt. The all-dark ensemble somehow makes him look older. Makes him look mysterious. Makes him look even more handsome—and suddenly Nora’s grown a bit nervous.
“I’m Nora, by the way,” she says, sticking her hand out for him to shake. He hesitates, looking between her face and her outstretched hand with a smile on his face, finding it incredibly cute that a girl his age would greet him so formally.
Just before his hand can fall into hers, another hand claps him on the shoulder and he’s forced to look at the intrusion, his own arm falling back to his side. “Harry, my man! How was the flight?”
When Nora looks over his shoulder, she notices two boys greeting him warmly. She hasn’t really met anybody at Townbridge aside from Alyssa, Grace, and Erin, so she’s not surprised when she doesn’t recognize the two other boys infiltrating their small bubble.
But upon further inspection, Nora realizes that she does, in fact, recognize one of them.
Standing directly in her line of vision is none other than Willy Clemonte. Although it’s been seven years since Nora last saw him, there’s no denying that the sandy-haired, blue-eyed teenager in front of her is him. He’s practically almost the same height as his father now, towering over Nora in his khaki pants and a white cable-knit sweater. His hair still tangles in his eyelashes and his cheeks are still dusted with freckles, and Nora’s stunned at the sudden rush of memories that flood her insides.
He seems to have made the same startling realization as Nora did, because his eyes begin to widen almost comically, and a strained expression falls over his features. Before they can give away that they’ve been staring at each other, the boy from before, now known to Nora as Harry, spins around on his heels and gives her a small smile.
“Nora, right?” he asks, and she nods hesitantly. “Where are you from?”
“Uh, Newport,” Nora answers.
“Oh, wicked! So you must know Will, then?” Harry asks, seemingly oblivious to the awkward tension radiating from the two of them.
Before she can respond, Will clears his throat and takes a step forward. With one last panicked look at Nora, he tells Harry, “Yeah, man. Her mom was one of our maids.”
“Wait, what?” Harry asks, confusion written all over his face. Nora’s surprised that she can hear it over the sound of her breath leaving her lungs from Willy’s comment. Sure, she knew that the last time they saw each other he was crying into her mother’s arms over a remark his father said, and sure, she didn’t expect them to resume their friendship as if nothing had happened.
But to blatantly lie about Nora’s mother, a woman who took care of him for years? Nora never thought that he would grow up to be so cruel.
To twist the knife lodged into her chest even further, Alyssa and the twins approach the group with annoyed looks, all aimed in Nora’s direction. They seem to have overheard Willy’s previous comment, and before Nora can even defend herself, Alyssa reaches out and wraps her hand around Harry’s forearm as if she were claiming him in front of everybody.
“Yeah, apparently Townbridge is letting just about anybody in this year. Just ignore her, Harry, we all have been,” she says, her tone nothing but dismissive.
Nora watches as Harry shifts his gaze from Alyssa to her. His green eyes fall down her body, and for the first time, he notices the loose thread at the hemline of her dress from overwear, the tear in her socks behind the knee, her brown boots that lack the distinction of a designer label. With one last look at her, he takes a step back, and Nora knows right then and there that she’s been condemned as an outsider.
“C’mon Harry, tell us all about the rest of your summer in France! I want to hear all about it,” Alyssa enthuses, and without a second look, the group turns around and leaves Nora staring after them.
No matter how attractive she finds Harry, there’s no denying that his personality is undeniably ugly. And as she watches him wrap an arm around Alyssa’s shoulder, Nora thinks it’s quite fitting that they’ve both found each other.

November 2007
Summer has always been Nora’s favorite season (living permanently near the ocean sort of makes that inevitable), but that summer after her first year, Nora’s never been more excited to be home. She missed her mom, she missed the beach, and she missed her normal friends who didn’t care that she wore sandals that were falling apart and shorts that were fraying at the edges.
When Nora came back from school, she begged her mother not to send her back to Townbridge for her second year. She told her how she couldn’t make friends, how everybody made her feel like a social pariah, and how she was absolutely miserable being so far away from her.
“Oh, Nora baby,” her mother said, holding her close. “You know exactly who you are. You’re strong, you’re beautiful, you’re intelligent—and you’re so much better than those kids who make you feel like you aren’t.”
“You don’t understand, mom,” Nora said through hiccups, wet tears soaking her cheeks, “They hate me. All of them. They never even gave me a chance.”
“Everybody?” her mother asked. And when Nora just stared at her with her lower lip trembling, Shannon combed her fingers through Nora’s blonde hair comfortingly. “I’m sure there are people at Townbridge who are just like you. I just don’t think you’ve tried to find them yet.”
Even though she didn’t want to admit it, Nora knew that her mother was right. So after another summer filled with scooping ice cream for tips and spending every second of her days off at the beach reading romance novel after romance novel, Nora packed up her things for the second time—this time with another suitcase—and set off for Connecticut with higher hopes for her second year.
Things seemed to be turning around for her when she discovered that her roommate was no longer Alyssa Whalen. Instead, it was a girl named Lydia who lived a few towns over in Madison by the beach, just like Nora. They bonded instantly over their shared love of having sea-knotted hair and the feeling of having sand squished between your toes and letting your fingers wrinkle from wading through the briny water for too long. And when Lydia encourages Nora to sign up for the swim team with her, Nora’s grateful that she’s finally found a friend in this hellhole.
Her second year is leagues better than her first, considering in the first three months, she barely had to cross paths with Alyssa and Harry. On the rare instances that they do run into each other, they simply ignore the other’s existence, and Nora doesn’t mind it one bit. It’s just easier that way, she supposes.
Halfway through Nora’s swim season, she turns sixteen and discovers that everybody around her is getting their license. Lydia’s parents bought her a used 2005 Honda Civic when she passed her driver’s test, and when she told Nora that she could use it whenever she needed, Nora felt bad lying to her new friend. Because once again she was playing catch up, getting her learner’s permit over the summer when everybody was already scheduling their exam, and with the way things were going, Nora wouldn’t be able to get her license until she was home again for summer break.
She also didn’t want to admit to Lydia that she couldn’t afford a car, and that her mother would never allow Nora to take her 1997 Toyota Corolla to campus.
After swim practice one November afternoon, Nora leaves the Athletic Center with wet hair to head back to her dorm in Donahue Hall completely across campus. Normally, Nora walks with Lydia, but since it’s Friday and students who live in-state with a license are allowed to leave campus for the weekend, Nora’s forced to make the twenty-minute journey alone.
With her gym bag slung over her shoulder, Nora begins to walk through the parking lot to head towards the footpath that will bring her through campus. The sky is awfully dark for four in the afternoon, and when she looks up and notices the menacing grey clouds, she kicks herself for not packing her umbrella before she left her room this morning.
Just as she’s almost in the clear, she hears a familiar giggle that makes her skin crawl. Living with Alyssa for one excruciating year has allowed Nora to recognize that sound almost immediately, and sheepishly she tucks her chin deeper into the neckline of her jacket, praying that her face is hidden as she walks past the group.
When Nora reaches inside her half-zipped gym bag for her water bottle, she swears to herself when the strap detaches from the siding and the nylon bag falls to the cement. Making sure everything is strapped appropriately, she heaves the bag over her shoulder once it’s zipped up. As she swings her elbow to place the bag comfortably around her body, she doesn’t take into account her proximity to a particularly shiny black SUV—and just before she can escape the parking lot undetected, her bag smashes against the hood of the car, causing the headlights to flicker on and off and the alarm to blare piercingly through the space.
“Hey!” Nora hears from behind her. When she turns she sees Harry jogging towards her, his brown hair dripping from the shower he just took. He’s wearing joggers and a Townbridge Academy Soccer sweatshirt, and when he reaches inside his pocket and reveals a shiny key fob, Nora swears for the second time knowing that the fancy car she just accidentally hit belonged to him.
“What do you think you’re doing?!” His voice is booming through the parking lot and it’s enough to make Nora feel incredibly small. When he finally presses the alarm button on his key and the blaring stops, she can hear his exasperated breaths in its place, and she’s not quite sure what’s worse.
“I didn’t mean to—”
“—I saw the whole thing, Harry!” Alyssa calls over from her spot across the cement, walking towards the pair of them with an accusatory finger extended in Nora’s direction. “She slammed her gym bag against your car.”
“It was an accident!” Nora screeches, feeling her face turning red. “My bag strap fell off and when I went to put it back on my shoulder, I bumped your car. Not, er, intentionally.”
Harry looks between the two girls with an annoyed expression on his face. “Just be more careful, yeah? It’s brand new.”
When Nora looks at the behemoth of a vehicle to her left, observing the shiny black exterior with the words Range Rover written across the front in chrome lettering, she can only imagine the outrageous price tag it has. Which is why she nods, apologizing one last time.
“Won’t happen again.” Nora begins to turn around on her heel, just as the air begins to get cooler and the slightest smell of rain can be detected in the distance.
“You’re walking all the way to Donahue in the rain?” Harry asks suddenly, and Nora begins to wonder how he even knows she lives in that building. She pauses, thinking if he or Alyssa or any one of their stupid friends lives in Donahue, and when she comes up with nothing, she turns around with a confused expression on her face.
“Uh, yeah. I don’t have a car.” Before she can feel the first drop of rain hit her skin, laughter erupts from the small group surrounding Harry and his car. Nora hides her face, wishing the ground would swallow her up.
With one last gulp, Nora turns around and begins walking towards the footpath, shoving the hood of her flimsy rain jacket over her head.
“Well, at least your hair is already wet!” Nora hears Alyssa call out from behind her, with more laughter following until Nora’s a safe distance away from where she can no longer be scrutinized by Harry and his rude friends.
As Nora reaches Donahue Hall with her tracksuit bottoms sticking to her legs like a second skin and her jacket completely drenched, all she can think about is how she’d rather walk another ten miles before ever having another conversation with Alyssa Whalen and Harry Styles if her life fucking depended on it.

The Heart in You pt2 (Fred Weasley x reader)
Request: Could you do something along these lines? Love you soo much <3 your imagines make me happier. It would mean the world to me if you could do this!! Request: Could you write a Fred Weasley imagine where the reader is Fred's best friend but they never really show affection, they insult each other all the time and occasionally Fred flirts, teasingly. But Fred gets all nervous and goes soft when y/n is visiting their home since its so small and you know.. they're poor and stuff... thanks <3
Link to pt1: Here
--------------------------------------------------
You were peacefully walking through the corridors, ready to spend a cozy Sunday afternoon being warm from the cold with your friends. It was quite surprising how little disturbance there was, as if you were in a scene in a movie.
That is, until you heard the sudden roars of laughter, clapping, and awe. You gritted your teeth- you knew that the peace was too good to be true. You decided to change your direction, hoping that this path would bring an end to this once and for all.
This was something you’ve been dealing with for the past week, and it’s been pissing you off. You found the source of the crowd of noise, seeing that it was coming from out in the courtyard. It was just as you expected.
“-and then there I was, cornered! Like a poor gazelle standing out in the open!” narrated a voice you knew too well. You stood watching from a distance with your arms folded, seeing as a specific redhead told a story you almost knew by heart by now.
Just as rehearsed for the past seven days a week, you saw the same dramatic gestures by none other than Fred Weasley. His stupid chocolate brown eyes which you couldn’t bother to look at, his stupid smile which you swore he had on 24/7- Although you had to admit, something even more stupid was the first and second years genuinely interested and believing in his anecdote.
“I almost died, but I stayed strong!” you facepalmed as he scrunched up his face way too dramatically. “She- the lion, sneaking up, ready to jump out and-”
“WEASLEY!” you yelled interrupting him, hearing enough of his crap. It seemed to scare some of the first and second years as they jumped and turned to see you.
“It’s the lion! Run!” shouted Fred. The kids yelled their lungs out and ran in all different directions all to get away from ‘the lion’. You marched your way to Fred, trudging your way towards him. You didn’t care about your shoes getting wet from the snow, all you cared about was slapping that smirk off his face.
“Yes?” he said rather casually from his spot, leaning against the wall.
“Yes? That’s all you have to say to the ferocious lion?” you asked incredulously. He chuckled.
“Actually, I do have something to say, though we may need a spell to translate between your roaring.” You scoffed at his terrible joke.
“I hate you.”
“We know that’s a lie, love.” You rolled your eyes. You knew that the reason the story started in the first place was because of that day you asked him to the yule ball. He tricked you, and his ego was just getting bigger.
“And what makes you think that?” you retorted.
“You’re the one who asked me to the ball, love.” he said scoffing. You mentally slapped yourself for having a question with an obvious answer. The term of endearment definitely didn’t help in trying to hide your embarrassment.
“I was drunk.” you replied quickly. Fred in turn laughed at your quick statement, causing you to laugh a little.
“Really? Then you should get drunk more often.”
“I think you’re drunk, gazelle.” you said poking his chest then turning to leave. Though, this didn’t stop him from hopping from his place and catching up with you.
“Am I now?” he asked pressing further.
“Yes Fred, bye.” you said as you were about to leave him and turn a corner.
“Alright, don’t miss me too much darling!”
“Fred!”
---
“Hey (y/n)!” called someone from behind you. You stopped and turned to see George who was slowing down to stop near your spot.
“Hey George. What’s going on?”
“Are you doing anything this holiday?” he asked.
“Hm, probably just gonna go home for the break, same as every year... why?”
“I was wondering if you’d like to come to ours for Christmas.” Your eyes widened at his offer. You had never been to the burrow before.
“You don’t have to, but I know it would make a certain gazelle really happy.” he teased. You rolled your eyes.
“If it would make him happy, why couldn’t he ask me himself?”
“Well riddle me this, would a gazelle purposely perch itself out in the open where any predator- ow!” You playfully punched George in the arm, seeing as the story was starting to rub on him.
“Sorry- what I meant to say was, it would also make myself, Ginny and Ron really happy. You’re our best friend (y/n)... also, mum’s been asking for you as well.”
“Your mum? Asking about me?” you said shocked.
“You’ve been mentioned here and there.” he said casually. You bit your lip, trying to supress a smile. You were invited to the burrow, which you’ve heard only good things from Harry and Hermione.
“Alright, I’ll send an owl to my parents and ask them.” you said. He nodded with a grin, knowing his twin would be ecstatic to hear this.
---
Your parents were a little surprised that you were going to spend the holidays at the burrow. They’ve never met the twins, just like how Arthur and Molly only heard a few things about you. Nonetheless, they were glad to see you so happy to be with your friends. On another note, you were very very nervous. Maybe it was because of seeing the rest of the Weasley family, but also for very stupid reasons.
“Oh (y/n), it’s so good to finally meet you dear! Come inside now!” You were welcomed by Molly herself, engulfing you in a tight and warm hug. You smiled, instantly relieved that Molly liked you enough to hug you.
“I’ve heard so many things about you.” she said maintaining a bright smile.
“And I’ve heard that you heard many things, all good I hope.” you said.
“Only the best.” she said swiping your cheek then turning to lead you deeper into the house. You walked in, and your eyes couldn’t help put to move left and right.
“(Y/n)!” You then saw Ginny appear, running as fast as she could down the stairs, then jumping and hugging you just like her mother did. You both squealed in excitement.
“Hey idiots! Your favourite person is here!” Ginny yelled calling for the twins.
“Ginny!” scolded Molly with her arms crossed. You giggled. You watched as the two tall figures stepped down to where you were.
“Well look who it is.” George said smirking and leaning in for a hug. Once you pulled away, you saw Fred, but you couldn’t help but notice something was weird about him.
“Hi.” he said curtly, but with a small smile.
“Hey...?” you greeted, letting your confusion be slightly present. He also went in for a hug, though it was a lot lighter than the ones you’ve received so far.
“Do you want any food?” asked Fred.
“Um sure.” you shrugged. You thought it was a little strange that Fred was being so ‘nice’ to you. I mean, like George said, would a gazelle let itself stand in the open and offer food for a predator? But you decided to brush the thought off, besides, you really ought to get that dumb story out of your head.
The first evening with the Weasley’s went well. You were able to meet the rest of the family as well as Harry and Hermione which you realized later that they were here. Molly’s cooking was delicious, and you were glad to be apart of the holiday gathering. You were glad that everyone was willing to welcome you, despite being new to the burrow.
It wasn’t until a couple hours after dinner, when it was late and you spotted Fred and George sitting on the couch, fiddling with what you expected was some of their future joke shop products.
“Hey.” you said heading over to sit with them. George smiled, then quickly jumped up to leave.
“I gotta go to the bathroom. See ya!” he said a bit too joyfully. I mean- tis the season, but one could not be that excited to go to the bathroom. You then scooched closer to Fred, and he noticed with a small grin.
“Hey you.” he said bringing his lanky arm to wrap around you and bring you even closer. You blushed at the extremely close proximity between you two, but if you were being honest, you didn’t mind one bit. This was secretly what you wanted, right?
You remembered the day you asked Fred to the yule ball quite clearly. After that incident, he was a huge ball of chaos and energy. You remember him skipping down halls, and how you had to chase him to shut up when he started the gazelle story.
And when the night of the ball finally arrived, you were a big bundle of nerves- and Fred was being a cocky little shit as usual... but aside from that, there were things he did that made you have the most fun you’ve ever had in your life. You didn’t forget how much he made you laugh and smile that night.
And now, you let the thought of his silence creep over again. He spoke and cracked jokes during dinner, but he was still quieter than you’ve experienced. You sat in the same silence as he seemed to be fixing a product.
“Fred...?” you said looking at him, a little surprised that your faces were closer than you expected.
“Hm?”
“Uh, are you okay?” you asked. You tried to ask it in the most subtle way possible. He only looked at you with an unreadable expression. The weirdest thing being that he had no witty comeback, or any line to start your typical banter.
“Yeah.” he said giving a closed mouthed smile again, then looking back at the joke products. Jeez, why did boys have to be so hard to read? To you at least.
“I just, ‘m surprised you accepted when George invited you here.” he muttered, but you heard it loud and clear.
“And why would you be surprised?” You didn’t know what to feel. His head pointed downwards- suddenly this moment felt really familiar. You were a bit skeptical if you were being truthful. After a long pause, he suddenly chuckled awkwardly to himself and sat up, leaned back until his head was tilted back on the top edge of the couch.
“I’m mad for you.” he said shifting himself so that his head was still tilted back but facing you. All your jumbling thoughts couldn’t force itself out of your mouth. You just sat there, your eyes bulging out of your head, and mouth in an o shape.
“W-what?” you managed to say. Now you were very very skeptical of what was to happen. You do not want to be tricked by him again, and leave you a blushing mess.
“I’m mad for you- do you need me to spell it out?” he asked. With the dim lighting you couldn’t see the slight flush of red on his cheeks. He brought his hand to cover his eyes, still showing his lips which were curved up in a flustered smile.
“I- are you being serious?” you asked in confirmation.
“Am I- yes I am (y/n), I’m mad for you. I said it three times, now you gotta believe me.” he said taking away the hand covering his face. You didn’t even try to hide the pink tinting your face. You shook your head, not knowing what to say.
“You still don’t believe me do you.” he deadpanned. You didn’t answer to that. He chuckled, already knowing your answer. In one swift motion, he cupped your cheek with his hand and brought you in closer for a kiss. You closed your eyes as his lips pressed against and moved in sync with yours.
You moved so that you were able to put both your hands on his shoulders to bring him closer. You could feel the hum from his lips when he heard you let out a little noise. Both of you were speechless blushing messes once you pulled away with the ‘smooch’ sound.
“Believe me now?” he said in almost a whisper. You nodded frantically, earning a smirk from Fred, as well as a beckoning gesture to ask you to cuddle next to him. You followed, snuggling up to his side, resting your head on his shoulder.
...
“I always knew you had a heart in you.”
...
“Excuse me?”
You tried burying your head further inwards, as you attempted to stifle your giggles about to erupt. Yes, you really did just pull that card on Fred Weasley.
“What did you just say?” asked Fred ducking his head to your level, trying to get a glimpse of what he hoped did not just come out of your mouth.
“Nothing!”
“You did not say nothing, princess.” he said trying to pry your hands clutching your face as you finally gave in and let out your laughter. You made the split second decision to bolt out of the living room and into the dining room to run away. Fred of course had no problem running after you.
You were both giggly as heck as you both circled the dining table, which happened to be the only thing protecting you.
“Take it back!’
“No!”
And once you said that, he made a dash for the tight corner and was able to capture you from behind. You squirmed with your legs kicking out as he held you tightly and swung you in a circle.
“Take it back!” he said in your ear.
“I won’t! This is what you get Weasley.”
“What I get? For what?”
“For...-” You realized then that if you said the reason, he would know that he was the reason you got flustered in the first place.
“What? Am I too handsome for you?” he asked as he placed you down, but still pinned you to the counter.
“In your dreams!”
“And in real life too.”
“Ugh, you’re so annoying.” you huffed crossing your arms. However, your attempt at trying not to smile failed horribly when you turned your head away from him.
“That means I won, princess.” he said smirking and tilting your head back to face him.
“Oh shut up Fred, you-”
“Make me shut up-”
“Whoa whoa whoa!” You and Fred both jumped when you saw George and Ginny intrude. And worse, when you were both getting riled up at each other.
“There will be no ‘make me shut up’ in this house.” said George mockingly as Ginny stood next to him laughing. You deadpanned at Ginny clearly not helping the situation.
“You’re not going to encourage them? It’s about time.” said Ginny.
“Gin, if you knew me, you’d know that I’m not even surprised.” replied George sarcastically.
“Oh sod off, both of you. Bein’ two creeps.” said Fred shooing them away. George and Ginny gave each other a knowing look and did as told. Fred then immediately turned back to focusing on you.
“So, what were you thinking on making me shut up?”

———-
“Hello my lovelies !” You heard from the other side of the room. You turn your head and understand what’s going when you see your boyfriend talking to his phone. Tom was doing another live, you look at him for a second before grabbing your phone to go to Instagram and watch it just to be able to see the comments without moving from the couch.
Indeed, you weren’t allowed to move a toe without having Tom screaming at you to stay lying in the sofa. The reason ? Your were pregnant of your first baby, Tom was overly protective over you, he was always making sure you were feeling okay. He was the sweetest boyfriend to be honest.
“Is it Y/N‘s legs in the background ?” Said Tom, reading the comments on his live. “Yes !” He answers as he turns the tripod holding his phone to let the people see you in the background. You straighten up gently and wave at the camera, smiling brightly. “Hi guys !” You said loudly. “You’re watching the live aren’t you ?” Tom asked as he turn on his chair to look at You. You giggle as you nod looking at your phone. “Yes...I just want to read the comments, since I can’t get up !” You said teasingly to him, making his eyes roll.
You smile while looking at the comments that were appearing on your screen.
“Omg ! Baby bump !!! 🥺”
“Her belly 😭😭😭”
And it kept on going, everyone was going crazy over your apparent baby bump, you run your hand over it and delicately caress the skin of your belly. You recently entered your sixth month of pregnancy so yeah, it was really visible. While Tom was talking to the camera of his phone for the live you suddenly feel your little baby moving.
“Tom ! Come here quick !” You almost screamed, making him turn to you fast, a little worried. He gets up quickly, without caring of shutting the live off. “What’s going on love ? Are you okay ?” Tom immediately thought of the worst, what if you felt pain ? “No babe don’t worry !” You said to reassure him as he crouches down beside the sofa, right next to you. “He moved...” You whisper, Tom’s face illuminate as you take his hand and put it right we’re you felt your belly moving a few seconds ago.
The fans were going crazy over what they were seeing, it was the cutest thing ever to their eyes.
“Alright bye...I died of cuteness”
“Such a lovely couple !”
“I love how Tom didn’t give a shit of the live he just ran to help her”
“That’s so sweet omg 🥺”
“Come on Baby ! Show me your dance skills !” Tom whispers against the skin of your belly as he crash some gentle kiss on it, his thumb rubbing it at the same time. And then you feel a new kick in your tummy. Tom’s eyes widen as he feels it under his hand, it wasn’t the first time but it never fails to amazes him. “You felt it ?” You asked, his gaze say it all before he nods and land a bunch of little kisses all over your stomach. Tickling you, you wiggle under them.
He then raises his head and straightens up to place a soft kiss on your lips. “I love you” He whispers against them before getting up. “I love you too !” You answer, looking at him returning to his live. “Sorry guys for the little baby break !” He said before an adorable giggle escapes his lips.
After a few minutes of just looking at his back, you decide to get up to join him, he jumps when he feels your hand on his shoulder. “Hey ! What are you doing, you need to rest darling !” You roll your eyes as your hand slide on his neck. “Oh come on ! I’m pregnant not about it die !” You giggle at his worried face, it was really adorable even if it’s was too much, you were completely fine except that you were a little tired at the time but that was totally normal, nothing to worry about.
“I just wanted to say ‘hi’ to everyone !” You said with a puppy face he could resist as he passes his arms around your waist to get you to sit on his lap. You smile while your arms make his way around his neck and one of his hand rests directly on your tummy. You gently put yours onto his and start rubbing it delicately with your thumb. “Y/N, how did you announce your pregnancy to Tom ?” You read a comments. “You want to explain it to them ?” You asked your boyfriend. “No go ahead, sweetheart.” He whispers.
“Alright sooo, I announced it to him on his birthday, we were doing something just together so I ordered a cake with a little baby face on it, and I glued the first ultrasound on the upper part on the cake’s box. You should’ve seen his face when he opened it, it was so adorable !” You start blushing thinking about that moment, it was so magical. You remember being so scared of his reaction even though everyone around you didn’t stop telling you how much he wanted kids.
“Yes...It was the best day of my life really ! And I can’t wait to see his little face.” You listen to him as it warms your heart while he plant a quick kiss on your cheek. “Did you chose a name ?” You read the next question. “Yes we did ! But it’s a secret !” Tom responded. “A little anecdote, it took us the longest time because we couldn't come to an agreement !” You continued as Tom chuckles, looking at the floor, remembering all your little fights about the name of your son. “Is his name, Scorpius ?” You laugh after reading it, “No ! I’m not naming my son over Harry Potter’s characters !”
Tom giggle at the comments. The comments were essentially talking about how cute you two were. You smile as you start rubbing your tired eyes, Tom’s frowns when he sees you. “You should really go rest my love...” He said worryingly, you gently nod, ‘a nap can’t do no wrong’ you thought. “Yes...I’m going !” You smile to him as you slowly get up after you left a chaste kiss in his lips. “Call me if you need anything alright ?” He tells you before before you disappear in your bedroom.
You let yourself fall into your bed and cover your body with a blanket. You try to sleep but something is missing, Tom’s arms. So you grab your phone and write him a message.
“I can’t sleep without you...” you send it and quickly go on his live to see his reaction. He was talking about random stuff until he suddenly stops and starts smiling, you’re sure he received it. “Alright guys, I’m gonna end the live here, thank you all for being here ! Love you all !” He sends a kiss to the camera and the live ends.
A few seconds later, the door of your room opens on him, making you giggle a little bit. “I really can’t resist you !” He sigh before joining you under the sheets, right behind you. He sticks his chest to your back and place a few kisses in your shoulder, making you shiver as his arms surrounds your body. Of course, his hand rests on your belly like every time you sleep together, he draws some circle on it, caressing lovingly your skin. “Only 3 months left...” He whispered against you skin which make you smile before falling asleep in his warm arms.

I'm sorry to hear your mom was being frustrating, would it be okay to ask what happened? 🥺
god there's so much like... context i was raised by my grandparents who are dead now, then by my abusive aunt that my mom's tried repeatedly to make me get back in touch with, my aunt outed me as trans and my mom wouldn't look me in the eye or be alone with me after, tried to KMS a couple times and my mom didnt care, then I left for a couple years, came back into town and my mom cried a bunch and was RLLY set on "being in my life finally" so.
we started doing weekly dinners where me and my fiance would go over and wed chat and have family time which was. strained. bc she's a bigot christian and we're queer. but we tried to get thru it til she made a r*pe joke about lil nas x mixed in w some other racist anecdote and we noped out. I texted her later like hey smtn you said made us rlly uncomfortable, y'know trying to open communication, and her response was basically ok bye. and she stopped talking to us for weeks thereafter and wordlessly cancelled family dinner. (she also vagued about me on facebook that night... lol?)
she eventually got bored and was like wanna hang out :) and swept it all under the rug so we were like fine sure and it was. strained! again! until we finally left for a different state, after which I was texting w her when I accidentally butt recorded an audio message where lo and I were discussing her bigotry in the most mild terms. like mild ok. and her response was as if I'd thrown her down in the streets to draw and quarter her.
she was like i feel sick i need space i need to think now that uve told me what u rlly think (after which she blocked my fiance on facebook and posted a meme about being challenged by satan lol) so i, again put in the position of trying to be the adult, was like do you want to talk about it? after which she left me on read for like two months.
i was like whatever i don't need to address her to talk to the boys so i texted my baby brothers today to ask if they want to hop a state over and stay with us for a weekend to go apple picking & then suddenly, miraculously, she texted back out of the blue (lol...) and it was some shit like i see now that we disagree on essential truths and it's always going to be stressful but I... I will overcome it... and try to find a way to love you anyway..... ur welcome lol <3
which I. just. have. nothing to say to like I really don't. im going to leave her on read bc none of this resolves anything & she won't have the hard conversations. im sick of it. "essential truths..." yeah mom i don't think brown people should be in cages and queers should be sent to the glue factory FUCK don't treat me like IM lucky to be forgiven. she only texted me back because i got in touch with my brother anyway. fuck dude

I was in Lidl today and suddenly thought of a new doctor who headcanon so now I'm gonna share it and also some others because why not?!
- The Doctor has become something like a cryptid in the UK. With various people over the centuries having written accounts of this mysterious character known only as 'The Doctor', a person who wherever they travel, chaos is sure to follow. It's known that they travel in 'The Blue Box', and is almost always seen alongside one or more people they call their 'companions'. People claim to have met the doctor, that they saw a man in a long coat appear from a box that wasn't there a second ago. I also like to imagine former companions(especially Jack)giving fake anecdotes about their time with the Doctor, just for fun. The Doctor sees them and sometimes can't even remember if it's true or not. People from America travel over in hopes of spotting this mysterious Doctor. People see a man in a trench coat and either run for their fucking lives because they know shits about to go down, or they try to follow and join in because?? Magic blue box and chaos?? Fun!! Oh hey, you remember that girl Rose who straight up disappeared from the flat below you? You always think you notice a blue box in the corner of your eye as you walked into the building, and there was always a strange whining sound that was too mechanical to be pipes but sounds like nothing you've ever heard before. Yeah, it's because she was taken by the Doctor, chosen to be their companion, destined to leave one day and never be seen again. The missing posters come down but the people never come back. Peoples opinions vary on this shape-changing being - Parents warn their young girls to stay away from the Doctor, lest they get abducted, stolen away in the night. Teenagers try to find them, desperate to get away from their boring lives and overbearing parents and have a little adventure. Grandparents tell the kids personal accounts - the time their sister was saved by the Doctor, the time they thought they saw a blue box on the corner of the street but when they tried to look for it they couldn't see it.
- Everyone is Very Aware of aliens, it's just one of those things that you don't talk about. It's always bothered me how nearly every time a human sees a Dalek in newer episodes they go 'oh wow, what could this be? I have ever seen this before in my life!' as if millions of Daleks didn't get released above London and then sucked back into Canary Wharf where they magically disappeared from? Or like how Daleks are in the streets...very often. Or when that huge stadium of people straight up disappeared during the London Olympics then came back a bit later and it was never explained? Or how they all lived with what they thought where ghosts for an amount of time I don't remember but it was long enough anyway, and then those 'ghosts' became metal men? And the metal men?? Appear a lot?? Like in that one with Missy and they're all on the streets?? You'd think someone would go 'oh hey look is that thing I thought was my dead great aunt carol a few years back, what the fuck?'. At this point, I'm sure every person in the UK should be related to someone who died of alien related causes. And hey, remember the huge spaceship above London that time? And that other time? And the time the spaceship broke Big Ben? Or the time the Christmas star of death zapped a load of people? I think I've made my point - people know about aliens. So I'm gonna say that everyone is fully aware of aliens, they just...don't talk about it. It's a Thing.
- The TARDIS can control who the perception filter works on. This isn't really a big thing, just a little continuity issue I noticed, and maybe there was an explanation but if there is then I missed it. Please correct me if I'm wrong! But if you remember when Ten created the perception filters using the TARDIS keys for him, Jack and Martha - Martha knew of the effects of a perception filter, but she still couldn't help its effects in her. Yet the companions suddenly gain the ability to always see the TARDIS once they join the Doctor. Even though, using the same logic, they should still have their perception shifted despite knowing it is there. The way Martha puts it, she says 'it's like I know you're there, but I don't wanna know' or something similar to that. So conclusion - the TARDIS can decide if it wants people to see her. We know that she/it is sentient and conscious, so I don't see why not!
- So we know that due to the nature of Timelords, they don't really have a concept of gender like we do. Their biological sex is changeable, and because of that they don't have the same social constructs as we do. So, the reason they refer to themselves as male or female to humans is because of our own perceptions of gender, and the TARDIS translates it to be what would seem natural to us. So a male presenting doctor would call himself he, and female presenting would call herself she, because that is how we as humans perceive them. I imagine in Gallifreyan they maybe don't have separate pronouns, only one. I also imagine that 'Timelord' is just a very literal translation of their actual title, just because...well for one it's in English, which makes no sense, and also it's such an obnoxious title ahshsjsj.
- Sometimes the Doctor checks in on Donna to make sure she's okay. They still feel guilty about wiping her memory, even though it saved her life, so maybe they help her out in whatever little ways they can anonymously. Yaz asks Thirteen who the seemingly unimportant woman she's so interested in is, and Thirteen just smiles sadly and says 'An old friend'.
- The timeless child didn't happen. Pretty self explanatory - I just hate it, so I pretend it doesn't exist! Yay!
- Oh also the way I see Thirteen and her companions in my head is so different to how they're actually written because...Chibnall bad. MY Thirteen would never hand someone over the the bloody N*z*s, no matter what they had done, let alone someone they'd known their (very long) life and had loved? MY Thirteen wouldn't brush of Graham's fear about his cancer returning, nor would she support the hugeass Amazon metaphor (also when she blows up that guy, after giving him like a seconds warning?? What?!?). It actually hurts listening to Twelves goodbye speech and then watching Thirteens portrayal. The basis of their character is that they're kind, they do they best they can and they always help those in need. Twelve wouldn't have gone 'Oh no, I don't know what to say, silly old me, I'm so socially awkward bye' if someone he cared about came to him with their fears, because he can be silly and awkward and 'why are you wearing heels, do you need to reach a shelf?', but not when it's something like that. Also why is she so awkward? The Doctor has always been weird, but the difference is that in the past they have always known that they're weird and literally put it in just to embarrass/confuse people. And yeah, sometimes the Doctor genuinely doesn't understand 'human things'. But they do know how to act normal? The Doctor is perfectly capable of appearing human if they really needed to, but they have no problem saying shit to confuse people. But when Thirteen is awkward, she's just...cringeworthy awkward.
Sorry if my wording is bad and some of my memories of episodes are a bit wrong! I didn't check sources or anything I'm really just rambling here. This got way longer than I intended so well done(!!!) if you bothered to read all of it.
(I know my pronouns are all over the place, but when talking about the Doctor I tend to use 'they' when speaking of not any specific Doctor, and then 'she' for Thirteen and 'he' for the others.)
#doctor who#bbc doctor who#the doctor#headcanons#doctor who headcanons#headcanon list#this is a very long post which consists of me rambling about a show I love#been watching this show for most of my life#no matter how bad it gets I don't think I'll ever stop#unfortunately I haven't been able to watch classic who but im planning on soon!!#ramblings

EXO Chanyeol: Oppa?
First Chanyeol Scenario! And have you heard his ‘Without You’ ? Damn it got me stunned when i listened, i didnt know it was going to be the one by Mariah Carey. I mean ofc chanyeol doesn’t speak perfect English but what can get more attractive than him playing the electric guitar😭 His film’s gna be released globally soon, wish him the best!
Also I took so long to write this, that by the time i’m done, he has enlisted:,) Sigh, Chanyeol, see you the 27th of every month!
Characters: Chanyeol x reader
You caught Chanyeol’s attention, but… You’re not so into rowdy guys. How will it turn out?
Ding Dong!
You were outside EXO’s dorm with a bottle of Cola. You didn’t really know EXO, in fact you only actually knew Jongin. The story goes where one night you saw a really sick man swaying side to side along the streets. Being the nice and kind soul you were, you went up to help. And that person turns out to be jongin, which at that point you didn’t know was an EXO member until much later when your friend showed you an EXO poster.
You helped him to the apartment building and you left your number with him out of worry because he insisted he head up alone. After that you guys somewhat became friends. And ever since you knew he was a celebrity, you occasionally ran errands for him just to save him some trouble.
‘Annyeong y/n! Thanks for buying the cola!’
‘Sure Jongin oppa! I’ll be leaving then !’
‘WAIT!!!’
Just as you were about to leave, a shout came from inside the house
‘Annyeong Jongin Chingu! Are you free? Wanna join us? I wanted to play a 2v2 switch game but we are short of 1 person. THERE’S PIZZA HERE TOO, ARE YOU INTERESTED?!’
Honestly, you haven’t even spoken once with chanyeol but here he is, trying to aggressively convince you to play games together. Not exactly an extrovert yourself, that overpowering energy was quite a turn off for you. You raised a brow at Jongin, trying to ask him to get you out of this situation
‘Erm.. Actually, i...’ In your mind ran a 1000 different thoughts on what’s the best way to politely reject this but you just couldn’t think of any, just then jongin finally cut in, only to say
‘Yeh come join us! It’s going to be fun, plus I’m sure you haven’t eaten dinner too’
Although you were a still a little reluctant, you relented for the sake of Jongin and entered the house. Seeing Sehun was also in the house, you both greeted each other politely and you proceed to sit quietly by the dining table.
‘LET’S EAT QUICK CANT WAIT TO TRY THE NEW GAME’ Chanyeol just sounded overly excited about this.
Over dinner, Chanyeol in particular was really friendly with you, probably just trying to make you feel comfortable as he tried to get to know you. But after a while, the conversation floats back to him talking about himself. You weren’t complaining though.
‘Okay so that day..’ Chanyeol begun his 5th or 6th anecdote during the dinner but couldn’t stop laughing before he could even get started on it.
He was laughing so hard he started hitting jongin beside him and his exaggerated movements actually hit the table so hard it toppled your coke glass over onto you
‘oh my gawd!’ you reacted in reflex and got up immediately from your chair.
‘HYUNG! SERIOUSLY?!’ Jongin reacted with shock then laughter. He quickly passed you some tissue
‘Let’s just clean up right now and start the games’ Sehun added calmly
‘Y/N I’M SO SORRY. LET ME GET YOU SOMETHING TO CHANGE INTO, IM SO SORRY’
You could tell Chanyeol was really feeling sorry when you saw that panic in his eyes when the coke spilled. Though it’s really weird to be wearing some other guy’s clothes when you just knew him for hours, you couldn’t be possibly telling him you would only wear jongin’s and not his... So you followed him to grab something to change into
Stepping into his room you can’t help but get abit wide eyed. His room was almost like what you would imagine a musician’s to be. Guitar, piano, bass, iMac, subwoofer etc. You were so amazed you couldn’t stop glancing around as he tries to uncover some clothes from the depths of his cabinet.
Finally finding it, chanyeol turned around and caught how your face literally wrote ‘amazement’, he couldn’t help but laughed beneath his breath before handing a sweater to you.
‘Why do you look so amazed? Your expression made it look like you just walked into a museum.’ Chanyeol asked
You felt embarrassed from his question and was absolutely tongue tied. Looking towards the corner of the room you caught sight of a basketball and a miniature basketball hoop. You quickly switched the topic
‘um you play basketball too?’
‘Yes I do! Like in my free time, once in a while. Outdoor activities keep me sane when I feel like I need a break, apart from jamming of course, as you can see. Why, do u play too?’
‘Oh I see, haha. And yes I play basketball too.’
‘I wasn’t expecting that! You really dont look like it though! What’s...’ before he could finish his sentence, jongin came into the room to check on you.
Breaking off that small talk with chanyeol, you changed out of your dirty top into the sweater. Sigh, the game hasn’t even started but you were almost already drained.
—-
2 hours into the game, you were getting really really sucked out of energy. Looking at chanyeol still so engrossed in the game, you wonder how could he still remain so fired up.
Just then the bell rang and the boys looked at each other,
‘Who’s that? Any of you got delivery ?’ Sehun asked as he walked towards the door. Looking through the peek hole before opening the door.
‘Ah Suho Hyung, why did you not open the door on your own’ Sehun asked
‘I left them in the car, too lazy to grab it. Oh, hi y/n, what you doing here?’
Feeling really tired now, your honesty got the better of you and you replied without thinking
‘Hi Suho-ssi, I got called to play some games, but now i’m stuck here’
‘Ya, you punks , it’s really late now you know. It’s way past 1030, Y/N still needs to walk home. Just shut off the game right now.
And Chanyeol didn’t you say you were meeting your high school friends tonight?’
At this Chanyeol loudly cursed then exclaimed
‘AH RIGHT I FORGOT! I GOT TO GET CHANGED NOW’
Phew, Suho surely is a life savior. More than happy to be out of this situation, you quickly packed your stuff and thanked the boys
‘I’ll be leaving, thanks for having me today and the free pizza.I had fun. Jong-in oppa please tell Chanyeol ssi i’ll wash his sweater before returning to him.’
At the same time chanyeol came out from his room hastily,
‘Y/N wait for me! Let’s leave together!’
You would have preferred having some quiet time by yourself right now, but you didn’t want to make things awkward by saying no. Seeing how Chanyeol got comfortable with people so quickly was beyond your understanding.
You were always took really long to warm up to new people unless you could really click with them, just like jongin.
‘Ah thanks for waiting, let’s go! Where do you stay? Is it near?’
Trying your best at a comfortable and casual tone, you replied ‘Uh yes it’s just about 5 to 10 minutes away if I walk. Where you going to?’
‘Oh just meeting my friends for supper. Let me walk you home since it’s not too far, anyway my friends are still on the way
So you were saying you play basketball do u watch nba or something ? What position do you play’ Chanyeol naturally strike a conversation with you
‘I DONT really follow, but yeh I check out the highlights and stuff. I play the Center position’
‘SERIOUS?! YOU’RE NOT VERY BUILT FOR A CENTER!’ You must be really good then!’ Chanyeol seemed to genuinely be amazed
Chuckling a little, you just shrugged and said
‘Erm yeh but the coach just thinks I’m pretty tough I guess.’
‘Oh and i heard from jong-in you didn’t know EXO until recently, so what music do you like ?’
Feeling a little self conscious about the fact that a musician is here asking you bout your music taste, you answered hesitantly
‘ R&B, acoustics, ballads , those sort? Ed Sheeren , AKMU and some other English oldies’
‘Then do you know ‘Without you’ by Mariah Cary? I’ve been listening to it lately and it’s been stuck in my head!’
Laughing at how random that was, you softly started singing along with him as he started.
At this hour of the day, at about 11 pm your mind isn’t too functional to overthink, you felt like you were loosening up towards him. Though he was a little too over enthusiastic and animated, you somehow liked that he seemed to have this innocence to him.
Just as your short jam ended, you have also reached your apartment
‘I’ve reached! Thanks for walking me back. Bye, drive safely later!’
You flashed a smile, bowed politely and was ready to head in, but chanyeol actually called out before you could head off
‘y/n! Wanna exchange numbers? We could go shoot some hoops at arcade someday or just ball.’
You were not too keen actually, wanting to just keep your relationship with him as simply acquaintances. Thinking bout how to put the rejection across nicely , you said
‘Oh, thanks for offering. But I’m really not a night person . And you know, you guys being EXO and got to be stealthy , everything goes on at night. Really not my thing though, I don’t think we can ever match a time.’
But turns out he was more insistent than you thought
‘Oh then I could invite you for games or a jam session ! I wouldn’t say we have exactly similar tastes in music but I do like the music you listen to and you sound great singing!’
That made you blush a little , partly embarrassment partly being shy at his straightforward words.
‘It’s fine chanyeol-ssi, I’ll just see you at your dorm when I pass by to see Jongin oppa and return your sweater. Bye’
—-
For the next 2 weeks, you somehow got more frequent calls from Jongin to run errands for him. But when you turned up at their dorms and Chanyeol was in, he would either be the one to get the door or be inviting you in for whatever they were doing.
Today afternoon, you were over at their dorms again, but just with jongin and chanyeol. You had bought tteokbokki and corndog for yourself and decided to buy some for EXO too, but turns out it was just the 2 that were in.
‘ah, y/n thanks for the food. i’m going to change and leave for dance practice soon’
‘you’re welcome jongin oppa, i’ll leave soon too’
just as jongin headed to the room, chanyeol took the chance to ask
‘y/n are you free? Do you want to hangout together instead? Since i’m free today and you’re already here.’ Chanyeol asked expectantly.
You were already much more comfortable with him, but together in the house? You wouldn’t even with Jongin.
‘Erm, Chanyeol-ssi, it’s okay. I’m not too comfortable staying in the house with another guy ..’ you said it hesitantly, feeling a little bad for rejecting him.
‘Oh actually, I meant to head out, there’s this place which I thought both of us will like’
oh shucks, that was embarrassing. In an attempt to cover up your embarrassment, you laughed abit harder than you should and agreed more enthusiastic than you would normally
‘OH ! HAHA! Ok, sure then let’s go!’
Almost instantly, you saw Chanyeol’s eyes brighten up. He got up immediately got changed and you both headed out.
—
In the car ride, you finally calmed your senses down and became sane enough to realise
‘Chanyeol-ssi it’s still pretty early right? Wouldn’t you heading out with me like this be really dangerous?’
Stopping his incessant rap and singing ever since you got in his car, he replied
‘There’s this arcade I used to go to when I was a student. It’s really old now and no one really goes there anymore. It closes around 5pm everyday , but I know the boss! I’m gonna ask him to just let us use the place for a short while’
With one hand on the steering wheel, he looked at you and was bubbling with excitement as he explained. You laughed seeing how excited he was, somehow also making you look forward to the fun to come.
Being really chatty as usual, he spoke the whole ride about anything and everything, slowly without even knowing, you dozed off.
The next moment you woke up, the sun was already starting to set and you’ve both reached the arcade, which was on the second floor along a shophouse street.
It looked so rundown and shady from the outside. The signboard was unlit and had completely yellowed. The window panes were blue tainted and so dusty you could see the dust from the streets.
‘Chanyeol Ssi are you sure about this? Please don’t bring me to a haunted house’
‘Ya, trust me, you’ll be surprised’
Together you headed towards the dark staircase that led you guys to the arcade. You struggled to catch up with his pace as he went up the stairs. The narrow and unlit staircase made you so jumpy that when the lights suddenly came on, you quickly latched your hand onto chanyeol’s sleeves without thinking.
Laughing at how scared you were, chanyeol slowed down his pace, walking side by side with you instead.
‘Why you so scared! We’re reaching soon, don’t worry, it’s hella cool place!’
Not really having the capacity to respond now, you continued holding on to his sleeves until you reached the end of the stairs.
Letting go, you awkwardly said thanks and entered the arcade, finding that it was certainly better than you thought but not fantastic.
‘Lee Soo Hyung! I brought my friend here today , could you let us use for about an hour + after you close?’
‘Chanyeol ah! It’s been a while! After all these years I finally see you with a girl. Hello Agassi, why did you come here with him? Be careful he doesn’t slaughter you like how he does when he plays games with his friends’
Not knowing to whether tears of joy or sadness would fit this situation, you raised your brows at chanyeol.
‘Alright I’ll leave this place to you guys, I’ll be back in about 2 hours after I eat and run my errands’
-
2 hours passed by in a flash. And you sure had lots of fun, shooting hoops, playing Daytona, Mario kart , and even challenging him to dance on pump it up. All of which u lost rather miserably cause you were just horrendous at games.
As you both left the arcade, you thought back in realisation that you didn’t see that annoying over competitiveness today in him today. Instead it felt Chanyeol wanted to make it fun for the both of you rather than winning you.
Internally feeling a little touched about this, you thought to subtly show your gratitude by treating him later.
Walking out of the stairs to the streets, you saw Baskin Robbins just right across, below a dancing school.
‘Chanyeol ssi! Let me buy you ice cream ok! Let’s cross the road to Baskin Robbins’
‘Haha, y/n why the sudden treat? I’m not complaining though, I want Choco mint in a cone’
You went into the shop and placed the order for the ice cream. But when you came out, there was a commotion right outside the shop and realised chanyeol was in ‘trouble’.
You panicked internally , where did the fangirls come from? They all surrounded chanyeol and were squealing and asking for pictures.
You headed back into baskin Robbins, not too sure what you should do. It’s not going to turn out well if he is seen with you.. Should you head off first? Or should you help him?
With one hand holding on nervously to the ice cream you looked intently at the situation outside, with a total mind blank.
Only about 15minutes later, you saw chanyeol managed to escape back to his car as the crowd in this secluded area eventually died down.
You didn’t head out to find him, worried that if any Fangirls were left, you would land him in trouble.
You stayed at in the shop, looking at the melted ice cream you bought for him, should you just dump this away? Do you head off yourself soon?
Just then a call came in
‘Y/N! Where are you? I’m so sorry I got caught by those dance school girls. Are you alright ? Where did you go ? In case you’re wondering, i got your number from jongin to contact you’
‘Chanyeol -ssi...? Are u ok? I’m just waiting at baskin robbins .. just head home without me, I’ll just find my way back..’ feeling still at loss about the situation, you replied with a heavy heart
‘Ah, no, just head down to the alley behind I’ll pick you up from there. This place is too secluded , I’m not going to leave you here alone’
‘But ..’
‘Just meet me there’
Feeling down and guilty that this was kind of your fault. You walked mindlessly to the alley with the half melted ice cream. If it were not for you, chanyeol wouldn’t even be heading out in the afternoon right?
As you entered the car, you kept quiet not really knowing what to say. But Chanyeol started apologising repeatedly, and telling you about the whole situation earlier
But all that ran through your mind was how risky the situation was and how bad you felt. You were still quite in shock as you processed that just happened
‘Chanyeol ssi, why did you bring me out today? Seeing that made me realise the severity of how dangerous it could have been for you if you were caught together with me.. and I can’t help but feel it’s my fault you got surrounded by those fan girls..’
Pausing before continuing, you added
‘Let’s never do this again. I’m really sorry’
‘Don’t be sorry, i am not even blaming you or anything! Plus i was the one who wanted us to hang outside together. I knew this might happen, but i still wanted to have fun with you’
‘Why Chanyeol-ssi?’
Without thinking, he answered almost immediately
‘Because i just find you cute’
You blanked out completely as those words, you could feel blood rushing through your cheeks.
You started externally processing your thoughts out of nervousness and panic
‘i know this sounds ridiculous but are you like interested in me? i know i am blushing like mad right now but im not really into loud guys. and though i had lots of fun with you just now i think you should just give up if you are even thinking of anything’ you went on rambling not even knowing what in the world you just said
He looked at you seeming to have something to say. But then looked at the messy ice cream and decided to reached for it instead.
‘thank you for this ice cream, and y/n whatever you said…honestly, can i just have 1 thing from you?’
‘uh what is it?’
‘can you just call me Chanyeol Oppa instead?’
Your heart skipped a beat at what he said and you could feel his gaze was still on you.
After a few moments of silence that hung heavy in the air, you shyly and softly asked
‘Chanyeol oppa shall we go back now?’
Still feeling shy to look at him, you stole a glance at the rear view mirror and saw Chanyeol smile the widest smile you have ever seen since you guys met.
Finishing off the ice cream, he started the engine, ready to drive off. But before stepping the accelerator, he looked up at the rear view mirror and you both caught each other’s eyes and both looked away almost immediately smiling shyly when your eyes met briefly.
As the car speeded off, you kept your eyes on the side view mirror, and you were glad you weren’t the only one smiling like an idiot the whole ride back.
Was this a little boring? I read through it multiple times and can’t really tell anymore. i hope it was fun for you guys who read it for the first time~ though i must admit if i read a fanfic with such an ending i might feel lowkey unsatisfied :p
