“I’m working on a painting. I’m using oil paint, though I paint in a style similar to acrylic. I just prefer using oil paints.”

Some painting truly denounced the truth between the light and the dark .Under our present chaos and the constant struggle for our species ,we could describe this painting as a creepy and dangerous, a mixture of demonic and innocent invitation to play but not get caught in our naïveté, and our need to be more cautious when meeting wolves in sheep’s clothing. We have heard this a million times times ,it is all in the eyes! Seeing a similar example in our present environment, just look at our politician’s eyes, never honest but sold to the system lying through their fake smiles and biting lips.Although this painting by Theophile Steinlen was done back in 1889, the meaning remains as fresh and creepy as ever.Haa! When looking at this painting use your intuition first ,and see where it touches you most.Perhaps,if you are a cat lover, you will disagree with me ,but as a shaman , we often see beyond the obvious and more often than not we dangle between this reality and the veil or dimension behind.Old souls like mine are often confronted straight on by darkness in animals and humans. Words by Sergio GuymanProust.

My main annual art show happens in October, a time when people aren't terribly interested in spring scenes. This mini-painting has been 'retired' from shows for some time, but this April I'll be able to show it once again.
