Evan who had an slight emotional breakdown because he had been having a horrible day and then saw Barty making out with someone random and just couldn’t deal with that in the moment, so he went up to his dorm (which, thankfully, was empty) and impulsively pierced his ears. And not just one time, no—he gave himself doubles. When Barty came up to the dorm that night, he too had a slight breakdown—although his had lot less to do with having a bad day and a lot more to do with the way Evan looked with earrings.
