Request - Viserys and Deamon punishing s/o, for being a brat. (Ottos daughter. )
Otto walking in on them.
AN: Thank you!! Hope you like it - posting sooner because i’m in the office tomorrow and out on Thursday x
NSFW
“Fucking brat.” Daemon snarled. He lounged back onto the expensive looking sofa in his brother’s royal chambers you shared with him. The King in question stood just steps away from him. Their bare wife that was you kneeling down with his hard, fat cock thrusting in and out of your mouth.
Your gagging sounded out around the room as the rogue Prince’s hand moved over his clothed, hard cock. Viserys’ hold in your hair was tight as he eagerly and sloppily fucked your face without care. “Can you believe she was flirting with him?” The Prince continued to speak his grievances.
You moaned and whined against Viserys; the words you wanted to speak were completely muffled. Your hands moved up his inner thighs before reaching for his arse; palming him as you bobbed your head. The act turned sloppy as per usual as you continued to drool all around his cock.
The sounds of your sucking echoed around the room as the King’s moans of pleasure soon fell too. “You belong to us.” Viserys whispered down to you; his eyes locked on as he watched you pleasure him. You fluttered those lashes of yours as you tried to reply but your mouth was full and the King was in no mood to change that.
Daemon couldn’t hold his desire back any longer as he gracefully stood up from the chair he was on. His hand came down on your bare arse and had you taking more of Viserys’ cock; gagging even more. He palmed your arse as his free hand slowly moved to free himself. All you could do was moan.
“Hands and knees.” Daemon hummed as you slowly tried your best to position yourself. Thankfully Viserys pulled his cock from your mouth and you began to gasp out. Drool fell from your lips as you looked up at him. You could hardly speak before the rogue Prince pushed his fat cock inside you from behind.
Viserys only chuckled as he watched you react. Your hands reach for anything to steady yourself with. “You are lucky you feel this good.” Daemon purred; teasing you without mercy. His hand moved into your locks and tugged. Your head moved back as you began to cry out in pleasure.
Your heavy, free breasts were bouncing with each move as he thrust hard and deep inside you. Your legs were already shaking now as he pushed against your spongy spot. A ring of cream was forming quickly as your bodies slapped together. “Daemon..please..” You whimpered out; your begging easily returned.
Their chuckles were your only answer as the prince only quickened his thrusts; pushing deeper even more. You whined and locked eyes with Viserys. He was already looking down at you; a smirk tugging on his lips. You could only moan as you bounced back and forth; your stomach tightening.
Your eyes rolled back as your moans continued falling. Daemon had his hand slapping your arse once more as his release ripped through him. “Fuck,” The rogue Prince grumbled out as he stayed still for a few moments. You whined as he came to a stop; your soaked pussy tingled at being denied.
He slowly pulled you up and turned you around. “Daemon..” You whispered out breathlessly. He gently cupped your face before passionately capturing your soft lips. Your body still shook at your ruined orgasm. He grabbed at your arse before nibbling on your lip. “Come here.” Viserys’ voice sounded out.
The King had moved onto the bed with those bright eyes of his locked onto you with a raised eyebrow. Your shaking boldly slowly moved to him; Daemon’s hand slapping on your arse once more. You looked over your shoulder with a soft gasp escaping you when Viserys hands reached your hips.
His lips were soon leaning in and capturing your sensitive nipple as he began to suck; his tongue moving over. Your fingers brushed into his locks as you whimpered. Your body is humming in desire. He slowly moved you onto his lap whilst your legs continued to shake for him.
The King slowly moved to fist his hard cock; head already leaking as he brushed it through your soaked folds. He began to circle his cock around your clit, pushing against it whilst your wetness coated him completely. “My King…I..” Your eyes widened at the sound of your father’s voice entering the room.
Viserys took that opportunity to lower you down on his fat cock. You cried out before burrowing into his neck. “I believe you should come back another time.” Daemon cockily purred as he locked eyes with Otto. The rogue Prince’s smirk only widened as the man seemed to be at a loss for words.
You heard the shuffling of feet as you whimpered into the King’s ear. The slow rocking of his hips quickened now.”Yes,Yes!” You cried out as he pushed against your spongy spot with each thrust. “Please..please, let me cum..” You babbled out; your eyes so wide as you locked onto him.
Daemon was enjoying himself a little too much as he looked over to the scene. “Do you deserve to?” He hummed. You locked eyes with Viserys and fluttered your lashes to him. “I’ve been good.” You whispered. “I’ll be good for you.” You purred into his ear as you slowly began to bounce.
Daemon smirked as he watched you begin to manipulate his brother and the King allowed you to do so. He matched his brother’s smirk as he locked eyes with Daemon over your shoulder. “You can cum.” Viserys whispered his permission as his thrusts only quickened. He just did not tell you how many times he was going to have you cum.
You hummed happily into his ear as your own movements quickened. His cock pushing against your soft spot again and again. Your legs easily shake as the intense pleasure moves through you. You squirted around his cock whilst Viserys kept you impossibly closer. His thrusts moved erratically.
Your arse slapped down against him as your bouncing continued. Your body shaking as the pleasure seemingly never left you. “Vis…” You whimpered out; eyes wet with pleasure as you tugged on his locks. The King only chuckled as his hands palmed your arse; moving against his cock.

M.L. Nestel at Raw Story:
The top prosecutor in the "Show-Me" State picked a legal fight Thursday against the "Empire State" for its prosecutions of former President Donald Trump. "I will be filing suit against the State of New York for their direct attack on our democratic process through unconstitutional lawfare against President Trump," Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey declared in a post on X, formerly Twitter. "We have to fight back against a rogue prosecutor who is trying to take a presidential candidate off the campaign trail." And as to why an attorney general is picking a fight with another state, he claims it's because the moves in court are hamstringing the presumptive nominee's capability to stump to become the 47th president. Bailey added: "It sabotages Missourians’ right to a free and fair election." Bailey expects his case to go straight to the Supreme Court because it involves a state versus state action. His office already titled the matter: "Missouri vs. New York."
[...] Come Aug. 6, voters will decide to stay with Bailey or put their support behind Will Scharf, Trump's attorney who has been a mainstay in the news counterpunching for the gag-ordered convicted presidential contender.
Unelected Missouri AG Andrew Bailey (R) files a partisan frivolous lawsuit against the state of New York as a result of a Manhattan grand jury convicting Donald Trump 34x.

Be careful what you wish for
James Howard Kunstler
Nov 08, 2024
“Let folks cast their votes for Trump if that’s their choice. But mark my words, we won’t be certifying the election. He might win, but we’ll ensure he doesn’t step foot in the Oval Office.” — Jamie Raskin (D-MD)
At last, it appears that the Party of Chaos got its fondest wish: it aborted itself in the 2024 election. “Joe Biden” was the coat-hanger it used: this miserable, grifting, now-senile hack politician who will be remembered only for driving his country to the verge of ruin. And for what? All in an effort to cover-up a long train of crimes and abuses against the American people perpetrated by a permanent bureaucracy gone rogue that was the party’s partner-in-crime. And now it’s over.
The childishness of the Left — AOC whining about “fascism” — is under-appreciated. Note how the party’s most august mouthpiece, The New York Times, pretends to soul-search in the aftermath of the election debacle.
“Many Democrats were considering how to navigate a dark future, with the party unable to stop Mr. Trump from carrying out a right-wing transformation of American government. Others turned inward, searching for why the nation rejected them. They spoke about misinformation and the struggle to communicate the party’s vision in a diminished news environment inundated with right-wing propaganda” — The New York Times
The New York Times diminished itself. It drove itself crazy with narratives — just as a crazy person with disordered thoughts can’t discern what’s real and what’s not. What they need is a serious mental health check. The time for incessant lying, hoaxing, and performative hysteria is over. On Thursday, in a three-minute speech, the President-elect set out a clear list of measures to reconstruct a national consensus based on reality. It includes firing a lot of people in the agencies, dis-embedding all the inspector-generals from the departments they oversee, establishing a “truth and reconciliation commission” to declassify and publish documents “related to alleged deep state activities, including spying, censorship, and corruption,” and finding out who exactly at the CIA / FBI / DHS / and other places has been leaking fables and falsehoods to the news media. In other words, clear away a shit-ton of untruth that burdens the consciousness of country.

astarion loved thursdays. thursdays meant he was working, and it also meant he would get to see his favorite police officer. if there was one thing he loved more than bantering with someone, it was someone who could banter back. he didn’t expect anything with the other, he wouldn’t be surprised if she hated his guts. still, he had to make his work day entertaining somehow, and she was more fun than he could hope for.
“hello, darling.” astarion purred, leaning against one of the pillars that held up the decorated courthouse. “you know, you look so strong handling those criminals. handcuffing them and what not.” he smirked.

is mulligan the captain of his ship or just a crewman? is the atmosphere strict or more relaxed? also, what does the ship look like? is there anything that distinguishes it from other ships?
ahahahaha so 😅
mulligan is the captain, originally he was just the pilot on the Ophelia but he kind of 'inherited' the position after everyone senior to him left, died, or refused the responsibility. he never really wanted to be captain, but he honestly did a pretty decent job of it? relatively speaking.
then the incident happened, and suddenly they were no longer under company jurisdiction, and as soon as he figured out wtf was going on mulligan immediately called for a new vote for captain bc he didn't want to just. assume the position. (everyone immediately elected him captain again anyway bc there wasn't anyone else qualified who was actually willing to do it. lmao)
the atmosphere in general is very chill, mulligan does Not run a tight ship and he trusts all the other crew members to take care of themselves & do their jobs, but in crisis situations he gets very stressed out very quickly. this tends to lead to him making bad decisions and then yelling at the crew for not going along with said bad decisions. rip
as a quick aside, the other crew members are -
miranda, ship psychologist, incredibly competent bitch who sees the rest of the crew as 'interesting case studies' at best and incompetent children at worst (i love her. mulligan does not)
karina, the science officer, who has been through a Lot and is primarily concerned with getting the information she wants, through any means necessary (specifically about android technology and xenomorph biology)
jack, the first mate/engineer, who is very good at their job and mostly just kinda puts up with everyone else. mulligan's favorite
reed, the marine assigned to guard the ship, kind of an asshole. he wants mulligan to be a better person (soldier) and mulligan wants him to fuck off lmao
reese, the medic, who was Definitely Not originally trained as a medic but that's Classified so she isn't gonna talk about it <3
so The Thing Is that since the Incident and them going rogue and leaving the company, they're in a lot of debt and wanted for theft/in mulligan's case desertion. the plan was to fake their deaths, sell the Ophelia as salvage, and scrape together enough cash for a different ship that wouldn't immediately put a target on their backs. that didn't work and the company knows what they did, which led to reese going rogue and running off in the ophelia to take a secret government contract and earn enough money to clear our names (despite mulligan specifically telling her Not to do that)
we're currently holed up in a backwater scrapyard run by a mysterious and thankfully very patient individual named Curio, who is in the process of building a new ship for us to use (and by 'new' i mean 'cobbled together from mostly-broken bits of other ships and we still can't really afford it but it's fine') while we do some odd jobs for them
the original ship Ophelia was a very standard M-Class Bison freighter, with a mu/th/ur 6500 computing system affectionately nicknamed Thursday bc the crew agreed that calling it 'mother' was weird and we weren't doing that <3. it looks basically identical to the nostromo from the first alien movie, if that's a useful point of reference for you! we only recently found out the other unique thing about the Ophelia, which is that it had specially reinforced walls for transporting xenomorphs specifically, which is why reese had to take it to go do her highly-classified government contract. yay!
the new ship isn't built yet and doesn't have a name, but it is Very Much going to be falling apart from the moment we step foot in it bc we had to cut alll the corners to get something we could even begin to imagine affording. it's significantly smaller than the ophelia, BUT miranda did specifically and from her personal funds have a jacuzzi installed. so at least there's that. <3
#ok this was a long-ass post and there is a lot of information in it that may or may not make sense#bc im probably forgetting important context#but so it goes#thank you for the ask! it was a very fun inbox treat to wake up to :D#mulligan#digital birdsong story circle

Claudia Brown sat at her desk at the Home Office, mechanically typing on her desktop computer. Practiced fingers performed every keystroke accurately and efficiently, and her dark eyes were trained on the monitor, tracking the characters as they appeared to ensure that there were no errors.
“Brown, got something for you.” Her department head, Adrian Hodges, announced as he strode up to her desk. He slapped a manila folder down on her desk.
She reached for it with one hand while the other saved and closed the document. Opening it, she asked, “What is it?”
“An almost certainly bogus creature sighting in the Forest of Dean.” Adrian replied as her eyes scanned over the front page of the newspaper. The photo was a blurry black-and-white shot of some
“‘Monster hoax or truly beastly?’” She read the headline aloud. “So, you want me to head up to the area, talk to some people, and confirm it’s all nonsense?”
“As long as it is nonsense. Ring me if you find anything.” Adrian told her. “We have no reason to suspect that it’s anything other than another rogue animal sighting that the public is panicking over, but in the event that it was illegally smuggled in or something like that, I will need to be informed.”
Claudia nodded. It seemed straightforward enough, and would likely be simple. “Understood, sir.”
After quickly wrapping up the most important items on her itinerary for the day, Claudia drove home and packed a small overnight bag- toiletries, makeup, and nightgown- then got back on the road, taking the A40 northwest toward Gloucestershire.
“Forest of Dean, here I come.”

Charcherry Weekly - Issue 125
The snow falls gently from the heavens as of late. This is Mage of Light Nick Card and I've got some news to share.
Competitive Ambitions
There has been recent discussion of a little cup style pokemon tournment being ran in early 2023. It is still being worked out, so details are currently scarce. Tangentially related, PKMN Breeder HAZEL has introduced a scoring system she's been researching known as the OpenSkill rating system. A number of known trainers have been entered into the system, though the sample size of recorded battles has proven to be very small so far:
Jovin 9.272840438955914 Brae Emit 7.22262823647624 Rise Emit 6.729486072456535 Remote Soulbot 3.765501947016432 Hazel & Gwyn 3.4387124345030067 Anton 0.369765594907868 HAZEL 0.0 Charles -0.5491206378924822 Nick Card -1.8317503324442903 Maggie -1.8317503324442903 Shellderspire Isle VoidCo Employee -3.090516308757678 Hissnclinkanck -4.400395724788748
When this list was first posted, your dear newsletter writer had a score of 0.0. I wound up challenging Spirit of the Hunt Gwyn to a pokemon battle soon after. Their staravia, Starstruck, quickly floored my larvesta, Sunburst. I feel like I probably should have used Slope if I wanted to win, but I didn't want to be accused if being unfair, considering Slope is level 30, compared to Starstruck being level 20. A few supereffective flying type attacks later, I predictably lost.
A few days later, Gwyn and Heir of Hope Hazel Careon took a trip to the Orange Islands to do some proper pokemon training. Rogue of Heart Charles sent a number of greatdexes with them to perform field tests with. They managed to stream an almost four hour training session, rendered as gameplay of Pokemon Orange. The footage can be found here, complete with chat overlay: www.youtube.com/watch?v=NlCi0WMc7Uw Gwyn's known team at this point consists of the following:
Bilb the Ivysaur Writhe the butterfree Danger the male nidoran Deb the lapras Minnie the pikachu and Aria the clefairy
They have managed to earn one badge so far, and have returned after the trip quite winded. One thing's for sure, I'm going to need to get serious about training if I want to be able to face them in a pokemon battle now!
Meanwhile, Heir of Time Rise Emit has managed to finally defeat Sinnoh Champion Cynthia, successfully claiming her title! It is unknown what they plan on doing next, especially considering their rather highly trained team, and lack of interest in being tied down to a particular role.
The Holidays!
On Thursday, it was the ninth anniversary of the Vast Meep, aka frogmas. It is apparently a celebration of the maturation of Gene as a habitable cosmic entity. I've heard about it here and there, but never really got into the practice of celebrating it. First time I heard about it was actually when me and Thoren were tracking down Rise back in december 2019. Apparently it's just sort of a thing that's celebrated in a lot of random places in the tadpole galaxy? Anyhow, Rufus wound up taking that day and the next off, prompting their boss, Prince of Time Aeons Edgeworth, to take their place at the pokesnack stand.
Coming up soon, is Present Redistrobution day, or Redistro for short. It is a rather localized holiday that just so happens to fall on the same day as christmas for possibly thematic reasons. Originally, it was a day when first guardian santa claus traditionally teleported large amounts of toys to countless post offices across Jingloria, for mailcarriers to deliver to countless homes. This practice was exploited by business owners who wished for a publicity channel, which soon lead to most products made by elves are created in a toy-like manner to allow for santa to deliver them. Since the Reckoning occurred, first guardian santa claus has yet to have their location reported.
In this day and age however, Redistro is meant to be a celebration of survival, as it was the day that The Reckoning occured upon Planet Jingloria. Aeons and a number of other players had saved a bunch of elves from the meteors and they've been living on starter planet for a couple years now. Every year a ton of elves return to charcherry to celebrate together for a number of days. Thoren has taken the role of santa claus in this, having felt somewhat guilty in the past for their misdeeds against the elves. Nowadays, having been brought back to life, Thoren has far less guilt, but is still dedicated to the duty. Thoren plans on making sure that presents are delivered across starter planet (and a few choice settlements off-world as well) in the outwardly observed timespan of one night. I am currently unsure what sorts of accommodations Thoren is planning on employing this year, as the global route has been noted to be very grueling. Regardless, knowing Thoren's reliability, they will find a way.
I'll be Home for Crispmas
After a great deal of time spent away from home, in the wilds of route 1 in the Kanto region, Page of Mind Samm has decided to spend the rest of the month back home with the group again. She appears quite excited to spend the holidays with those she cares about.
In other news, Desertian President Katyleen Kitten and her wife Samus Kitten have both returned home, having spent time away for their own reasons. They still however need time to recover, which is being respected.
This week’s known market stands in Desertia Town:
Candlestick stand (this week)
Glue stand (this week)
Artisanal jinglorian toy stand (one day left!!)
Katie’s potion stand (*CaFAI filling in for Katie when unavailable)
Brae’s canned goods stand (currently closed for the time being)
shinyjiggly pokesnacks stand (ran by Rufus and Aeons)
Wound up taking a nap in the middle of writing. It's so cozy with the fire roaring this time of the night. At least this way I can get some segmented sleep. https://letssosl.boards.net/thread/353/charcherry-weekly-issue-125

大家好! Mummy and I came across a cafe that serves moderately healthy dishes and coffee when I introduced her to the anago unagi donburi. So we visited to try their Ipoh hor fun (rice noodles with chicken) and coffee. This is a dish my grandparents adored when they were still with us. The cafe serves their version with prawns and it was delicious! The prawns were fresh and firm, the hor fun silky smooth and slurpable but it was that gorgeous clear broth which had us indulging with gusto. It was SO flavourful whilst not being too salty at the same time. This was so good, I texted Pa at once and he agreed to visit. There're other dishes that Mummy and I will return for, such as steamed chicken and mushroom rice as well as steamed ginger chicken rice.
We've had some rainy afternoons. ML, who's back from Europe, MI and I returned to the food court with the stall that sells very good lei cha (tea rice). It was very chilly and I craved hot soup. There was a stall serving salmon soup and I decided to try it. The dish, which comes with rice, was priced at $5.50. Look at how much fish I got! Besides fish, there were tofu cubes, seaweed and onions in the soup. I was glad they didn't add a lot of miso and the broth wasn't too salty. This was very filling; I didn't feel hungry until dinner.
https://www.aa.com.tr/en/europe/west-continues-to-support-israel-despite-rising-deaths-in-gaza-genocide/3352042
Another week, another sushi combo. This week the local supermarket cum food hall had a treat in store for their customers - blue fin tuna. It's very popular here at the mo, and we love it. I also like variety so the sushi pack I picked up included hotate, octopus, salmon belly, uni (sea urchin) and ikura as well as ebiko gunkan. Let's get real: I'm not a fan of uni. Ikura may be very delicious, but nothing can mask the stench of sea urchin. I ate the uni ikura gunkan first to get it out of the way and almost gagged. The rest were yummy but I won't grab this pack again. Uni is just too gross.
After their terrorist exploding devices attacks in Lebanon, Israel has turned up its aggression against the country. The tension in the Middle East remains very volatile. Friends and I are watching the situation closely as events unfold. We're so horrified by civilians' suffering that I decided to have a simple lunch on a return to office day out of compassion for them. There was no meat; instead, I selected egg tofu and tomato egg, stirfried bittergourd and rice. Our hearts and minds remain with the innocent people in Gaza, and now, Lebanon. I'm glad my country is doing what it can to ramp up relief efforts and provide aid.
youtube
It's already Thursday. As yet another weekend approaches, my prayers are for peace in the Middle East. Apart from warmongers seeking to profit off conflict, nobody with a conscience wants to see suffering. Some countries are diplomatically isolated as a result of these wars, as they should be. The world doesn't want the conflicts to continue but is held hostage by a few rogue nations complicit in facilitating this genocide in Gaza and now, military aggression in Lebanon. May they reap the bitter fruit from the seeds that they sow. 下次见!

Catalan separatist Puigdemont evades capture on chaotic return to Spain
New Post has been published on https://sa7ab.info/2024/08/09/catalan-separatist-puigdemont-evades-capture-on-chaotic-return-to-spain/
Catalan separatist Puigdemont evades capture on chaotic return to Spain
Former Catalan separatist leader Carles Puigdemont defied an arrest warrant to appear at a rally in Barcelona on Thursday after seven years of self-imposed exile, before reportedly fleeing the scene with a car belonging to a regional police officer.Amid a heavy police presence, Puigdemont had told a crowd of thousands of followers in the Catalan capital he aimed to revive the independence drive that plunged Spain into political crisis in 2017. “They thought they’d be celebrating my arrest and they thought that this punishment would dissuade us,” he said. “Well, they are wrong.”SPAIN’S PARLIAMENT VOTES TO GRANT AMNESTY TO CATALAN SEPARATISTS THROUGH CONTROVERSIAL BILLAuthorities suspect that, when he had finished speaking, Puigdemont got into a white car belonging to a police officer and left the vicinity, a Catalan interior department spokesperson said, sparking a frantic search by authorities. The regional police, known as the Mossos d’Esquadra, said two of its officers had been arrested as part of their investigation into Puigdemont’s whereabouts, including the owner of the car.The separatist leader, 61, fled to Belgium seven years ago after a failed secession bid and has been living in exile ever since. He faces an arrest warrant for alleged embezzlement related to a 2017 independence referendum ruled illegal by the Spanish courts. Puigdemont says the vote was legal and therefore the charges linked to it have no basis.A Mossos spokesman said there was no prior arrangement with Puigdemont for his arrest and the force had decided the detention should be made “at the most appropriate time so as not to generate public disorder.”Puigdemont ally Laura Borras described the arrested officer on X as “a patriot and exemplary Mosso.”The hunt for Puigdemont created traffic chaos in Barcelona and near the border with France as police set up roadblocks and searched car boots. In Barcelona, several Puigdemont supporters clashed with police in a bid to breach the cordon surrounding the park housing the regional parliament building. Officers clad in riot gear used batons and pepper spray to deter them.DETENTION ORDERReacting to news that Puigdemont had again absconded from under the noses of a large police deployment, a Supreme Court source said a judge had been clear in his instructions that the former Catalan president was to be arrested.”The Mossos know that they have a detention order… they had the obligation to detain him and bring him before the courts,” the source said. Two national police unions also criticised the failure to arrest Puigdemont.”Where are the Mossos? The best-paid police force in Spain incapable of doing their job, of arresting the coup-monger and fugitive from justice Puigdemont,” police union Jusapol said on X.Two sources with links to the Catalan government said it had identified a problem with some rogue Mossos, who appear to be loyal to Puigdemont.A government spokesperson did not respond to a request for comment, nor did Puigdemont´s lawyer. His arrest could jeopardise the Socialist-led national government´s fragile alliance with Puigdemont’s Junts party, on which it relies for legislative support.Catalonia’s parliament on Thursday afternoon confirmed Salvador Illa, an ally of Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, as head of the Catalan government.”I will govern for everyone having into account the plurality and diversity of Catalonia,” Illa said. The Socialists hope taking control in Catalonia after a decade of separatist rule will turn the page on the independence drive. The Spanish parliament passed an amnesty law in May pardoning those involved in the failed 2017 secession bid, but the Supreme Court upheld arrest warrants for Puigdemont and two others who were also charged with embezzlement, ruling that the amnesty law does not apply to them. The crowd of thousands, who had gathered near the parliament to welcome him, hoped his return would help build momentum towards independence, which has lost support in recent years.”It represents the return of a symbol,” said Xavier Vizcaino, 63, who was wrapped in an independence flag.No-one had expected him to disappear again.Former Barcelona Mayor Xavier Trias, who was present at the rally, marvelled at Puigdemont’s flight.”It was magic,” he told Reuters.

2 Black Men Tortured By Mississippi Officers Call For Toughest Sentences
Two Black men who were tortured by six Mississippi law enforcement officers called on a federal judge Monday to impose the harshest possible penalties against the disgraced former lawmen.
The former law officers admitted in August to subjecting Michael Corey Jenkins and Eddie Terrell Parker to numerous acts of racially motivated, violent torture.
After a mock execution went awry when Jenkins was shot in the mouth, they devised a coverup that included planting drugs and a gun. The Rankin County Sheriff’s Department then supported the deputies’ false charges, which stood against Jenkins and Parker for months.
U.S. District Judge Tom Lee will sentence two defendants each day, on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday after twice delaying the proceedings. An attorney for Jenkins and Parker called Monday for the “stiffest of sentences.”
“Michael Jenkins and Eddie Parker continue to suffer emotionally and physically since this horrific and bloody attack by Rankin County deputies,” Malik Shabazz said in a statement. “A message must be sent to police in Mississippi and all over America,” he said, that such criminal conduct “will be met with the harshest of consequences.”
Rankin County Sheriff Bryan Bailey called the crimes by his deputies the worst case of police brutality he had ever seen. For months, Bailey said little about the episode. After the officers pleaded guilty in August, Bailey said the officers had gone rogue and promised to change the department.
Jenkins and Parker have called for his resignation, and they have filed a $400 million civil lawsuit against the department. -(source: abc news)

Around the world in 80 days, Jules Verne
CHAPTER VII. WHICH ONCE MORE DEMONSTRATES THE USELESSNESS OF PASSPORTS AS AIDS TO DETECTIVES
The detective passed down the quay, and rapidly made his way to the consul’s office, where he was at once admitted to the presence of that official.
“Consul,” said he, without preamble, “I have strong reasons for believing that my man is a passenger on the ‘Mongolia.’” And he narrated what had just passed concerning the passport.
“Well, Mr. Fix,” replied the consul, “I shall not be sorry to see the rascal’s face; but perhaps he won’t come here—that is, if he is the person you suppose him to be. A robber doesn’t quite like to leave traces of his flight behind him; and, besides, he is not obliged to have his passport countersigned.”
“If he is as shrewd as I think he is, consul, he will come.”
“To have his passport visaed?”
“Yes. Passports are only good for annoying honest folks, and aiding in the flight of rogues. I assure you it will be quite the thing for him to do; but I hope you will not visa the passport.”
“Why not? If the passport is genuine I have no right to refuse.”
“Still, I must keep this man here until I can get a warrant to arrest him from London.”
“Ah, that’s your look-out. But I cannot—”
The consul did not finish his sentence, for as he spoke a knock was heard at the door, and two strangers entered, one of whom was the servant whom Fix had met on the quay. The other, who was his master, held out his passport with the request that the consul would do him the favour to visa it. The consul took the document and carefully read it, whilst Fix observed, or rather devoured, the stranger with his eyes from a corner of the room.
“You are Mr. Phileas Fogg?” said the consul, after reading the passport.
“I am.”
“And this man is your servant?”
“He is: a Frenchman, named Passepartout.”
“You are from London?”
“Yes.”
“And you are going—”
“To Bombay.”
“Very good, sir. You know that a visa is useless, and that no passport is required?”
“I know it, sir,” replied Phileas Fogg; “but I wish to prove, by your visa, that I came by Suez.”
“Very well, sir.”
The consul proceeded to sign and date the passport, after which he added his official seal. Mr. Fogg paid the customary fee, coldly bowed, and went out, followed by his servant.
“Well?” queried the detective.
“Well, he looks and acts like a perfectly honest man,” replied the consul.
“Possibly; but that is not the question. Do you think, consul, that this phlegmatic gentleman resembles, feature by feature, the robber whose description I have received?”
“I concede that; but then, you know, all descriptions—”
“I’ll make certain of it,” interrupted Fix. “The servant seems to me less mysterious than the master; besides, he’s a Frenchman, and can’t help talking. Excuse me for a little while, consul.”
Fix started off in search of Passepartout.
Meanwhile Mr. Fogg, after leaving the consulate, repaired to the quay, gave some orders to Passepartout, went off to the “Mongolia” in a boat, and descended to his cabin. He took up his note-book, which contained the following memoranda:
“Left London, Wednesday, October 2nd, at 8.45 p.m.
“Reached Paris, Thursday, October 3rd, at 7.20 a.m.
“Left Paris, Thursday, at 8.40 a.m.
“Reached Turin by Mont Cenis, Friday, October 4th, at 6.35 a.m.
“Left Turin, Friday, at 7.20 a.m.
“Arrived at Brindisi, Saturday, October 5th, at 4 p.m.
“Sailed on the ‘Mongolia,’ Saturday, at 5 p.m.
“Reached Suez, Wednesday, October 9th, at 11 a.m.
“Total of hours spent, 158½; or, in days, six days and a half.”
These dates were inscribed in an itinerary divided into columns, indicating the month, the day of the month, and the day for the stipulated and actual arrivals at each principal point Paris, Brindisi, Suez, Bombay, Calcutta, Singapore, Hong Kong, Yokohama, San Francisco, New York, and London—from the 2nd of October to the 21st of December; and giving a space for setting down the gain made or the loss suffered on arrival at each locality. This methodical record thus contained an account of everything needed, and Mr. Fogg always knew whether he was behind-hand or in advance of his time. On this Friday, October 9th, he noted his arrival at Suez, and observed that he had as yet neither gained nor lost. He sat down quietly to breakfast in his cabin, never once thinking of inspecting the town, being one of those Englishmen who are wont to see foreign countries through the eyes of their domestics.

[ad_1] A rogue reptile that paralyzed a New Jersey community for more than two weeks was finally fitted for cuffs after an eagle-eyed resident spotted the roaming creature in Piscataway, police said. The 4-foot long alligator was captured in front of a residence on 2nd Avenue, 400 yards southwest of the Ambrose Brook, police said. Police body camera footage shows cops tailing the wily fugitive on roadway pavement and then grass just after 10 p.m. Thursday. In a 56-second clip posted by the Piscataway Police Department on its Facebook page, one officer is seen placing the bottom of his boot on top of the gator’s head, while fellow officers place a snare over its neck. Cops handed the gator over to the NJ Fish and Wildlife Conservation Police and the rascally reptile was relocated to the Cape May Zoo. An animal alert was issued in Middlesex, NJ after the alligator was spotted in Ambrose Creek and in Lake Creighton inside Victor Crowell Park.Mario On Time Landscaping via WABC The scaly suspect caused quite a stir in New Jersey for over two weeks.Dylan Bauman via WABC The wanted gator with a snare around its neck.Piscataway Township The gator — which police said was capable of “inflicting serious or fatal injuries” — was first spotted in Lake Creighton at Victor Crowell Park on Aug. 23. While loose in the swamps of Jersey, the gator forced park to close for 17 days through Labor Day as Garden State investi-gators searched for the elusive critter. Victor Crowell Park is now reopened. “This is a very novel thing for New Jersey. We don’t have alligators in the water. We’re not Florida,” Middlesex Borough police Lt. Thomas Falk told reporters at the time. The footage shows the brazen reptile leading police on a pursuit in Piscataway. WASHINGTON (AP) — Police officers who defended the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, and public servants who fled the mob’s attack told a judge on Wednesday that they are still haunted by what they endured, as the judge prepares to hand down sentences in a landmark Capitol riot case.
U.S. District Judge Amit Mehta heard victim impact statements a day before hes expected to deliver the first Jan. 6 seditious conspiracy sentences to Oath Keepers founder Stewart Rhodes and an associate convicted of plotting to block the transfer of power from President Donald Trump to President Joe Biden.
Prosecutors are seeking 25 years behind bars for Rhodes, which would be the longest sentence by far handed down among hundreds of Capitol riot cases.
Metropolitan Police Officer Christopher Owens crossed paths with Oath Keepers members in Senate hallways as rioters invaded the building, shouted insults and threw projectiles at police. Owens recalled his wife bursting into tears when she saw the blood and bruises on his arms and legs after the riot.
“We experienced physical trauma, emotional trauma and mental trauma,” Owens said during the hearing in Washington’s federal court . “The traumas we suffered that day were endless.”
Rhodes scribbled notes on a yellow legal pad as he listened to the statements.
Terri McCullough, who was chief of staff to then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, said rioters were trying to hunt down the California Democrat as her staffers hid in a conference room for hours, hearing chants and threats.
“The defendants violated our workplace, our government and our democracy,” McCullough said, adding, “Democracy succeeded.”
Capitol Police Special Agent David Lazarus, who was assigned to Pelosi’s security detail, said some of his co-workers have quit because of what they experienced.
“Lives and careers have been ruined and will never return to normal,” he said.
Capitol Police Officer Harry Dunn, who encountered Oath Keepers in the Rotunda, said rioters turned the “citadel of American democracy” into a crime scene. Dunn said he is a “shell of his former self” and dreads coming to work every day.
While he still feels scarred by Jan. 6, Dunn said he found “a little relief” from the jury’s conviction of Rhodes and other Oath Keepers, adding that he is “profoundly grateful that, in this case, justice has been done.”
The judge also heard statements from Virginia Brown, who was a Senate chamber assistant and helped carry a box of electoral votes across the Rotunda on Jan. 6. As the mob breached the Capitol, Brown kicked off her shoes so she could run faster. She recalled fearing for her life and praying that she wouldn’t encounter any insurrectionists.
“I constantly relive the memories of that day,” said Brown, who was a college sophomore at the time. “I cannot measure how many hours of sleep I’ve lost.”
Rhodes was convicted of seditious conspiracy in November alongside Florida chapter leader Kelly Meggs after prosecutors spent weeks making the case that Rhodes and his extremist group followers had plotted an armed rebellion to keep Biden, a Democrat, out of the White House in favor of Trump, a Republican.
Rhodes, who didn’t go inside the Capitol, took the witness stand at trial and told jurors that there was never any plan to attack the Capitol and that his followers who did went rogue.
Meggs will also be sentenced on Thursday, followed by two Oath Keepers on Friday who were acquitted of seditious conspiracy but convicted of other crimes. Another four Oath Keepers convicted of the sedition charge during a second trial in January will be sentenced next week.
Prosecutors are seeking prison sentences ranging from 10 to 21 years for the Oath Keepers besides Rhodes.
The judge canceled the sentencing scheduled this week for one defendant, Thomas Caldwell, of Berryville, Virginia, as he weighs whether to overturn the jury’s guilty verdict on obstruction and a documents tampering charge.
Prosecutors are urging the judge to apply enhanced penalties for terrorism, arguing the Oath Keepers sought to influence the government through “intimidation or coercion.” Judges have so far rejected the Justice Department’s request to apply the so-called “terrorism enhancement” in the handful of Jan. 6 cases it has sought it in so far, but the Oath Keepers case is unlike any others that have reached sentencing to date.
More than 1,000 people have been charged with federal crimes stemming from the riot. Just over 500 of them have been sentenced, with more than half receiving terms of imprisonment ranging from a week to over 14 years.
The sentences for the Oath Keepers may signal how much time prosecutors will seek for leaders of another far-right group, the Proud Boys, who were convicted of seditious conspiracy in a separate trial this month. Those defendants include former Proud Boys national chairman Enrique Tarrio, who is perhaps the most high-profile person charged in the sprawling Jan. 6 investigation. The Proud Boys are scheduled to be sentenced in August and September.
Over seven weeks of testimony, jurors heard how Rhodes rallied his followers to fight to defend Trump, discussed the prospect of a “bloody” civil war and warned that the Oath Keepers may have to “rise up in insurrection” to defeat Biden if Trump didn’t act.
On Jan. 6, Rhodes’ followers shouldered their way through the crowd in military-style stack formation before forcing their way into the Capitol. The Oath Keepers had stashed weapons at a Virginia hotel for “quick reaction force” teams prosecutors said were ready to get weapons into the city quickly if needed. The weapons were never deployed.
Rhodes’ lawyers are urging the judge to sentence him to the roughly 16 months behind bars he has already served since his January 2022 arrest. In court papers filed this month, Rhodes’ attorneys argued that all of Rhodes’ writings and statements were “protected political speech.”
“None of his protected speech incited or encouraged imminent violent or unlawful acts, nor were any likely to occur as a result of his speech,” they wrote.
